Ahhh, teen angst! I so remember it well. Ha. I'm starting to wonder what's up with Carrie. I guess everything is not as it seems? Oh, and btw: I totally have checked out JillandKate's blog and all their videos. (I'm dying for a Finding My Own Way release!) LOL @ the Kelly/Kate fic 'cause, um, yeah. I kinda saw the same thing you did. haha. ;) "I complete you...no, wait! It's 'you complete me'!" I also loved the Red Sox vid! "She doesn't know the song!" They are hysterical together. And if you seriously write Kelly/Kate, let me know...I'd love to read that! Back to the story at hand: I'm intrigued and can't wait to read more. Outstanding, per usual. :)

Well, first off, I'm glad to hear y'all survived the storm with no major damage. Yay for that. Thanks for taking the time to update! Now, to the story...I love teenage Kelly for some reason. (Well, really, I love all Kellys, but you know....anyway). Can't wait to see how the dinner with the 'rents goes and how Carrie's gonna be around the other girls over the weekend.

I hope you got to your sister's safely. It was sweet of you to update before you left :) I'm a update behind, but I liked seeing the contrast of Kelly and Carrie's home lives. I liked that Carrie got Kelly to agree to picking her up in the morning, that was cool. I wasn't surprised when Kelly fell asleep at her desk, or how sad she was over having to find the dog's owner. Jeanne seems nice in this story- a little stressed, but single mom's are stressed, so that's understandable. When Kelly brought up the girl's night out and didn't ask Carrie, I admit I got a little sad. Though Carrie probably would have not gone if Kelly had asked in front of Ashley, or maybe I'm just assuming. Anyway, I am still enjoying how this one is moving along. Hope you and your family are/weren't affected by Gustav, other than evacuating I mean.

Fuck gustav. It looks like he's gonna nail all of Louisiana or at least pulverize the southern part. I hope your house makes it through. Haha, that's awesome, three band geeks interested the same almost unknown pairing. What're the odds? lol, I think I'm kinda jealous, marching band created my most awesomest times in high school and the ability to be in it for six years would've been heaven. Those beginning three lines were great. Leave it up to Carrie to have some obscenities yelled at her the first time she goes to a shady neighborhood. Haha, I was right! Kelly was running around naked. What's up with Kelly and stay dogs? It's like a reoccurring theme here. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly. That girl is a hot mess. Awww, that was cute how she got nervous asking Carrie to come to girls night. I wonder what a night like that would consist of. Cow tipping maybe?

Wow, you have two former band geeks reading your stories. You should be proud of yourself, lol. Ahhh, senior year. I kinda thought so, thanks for clearing that up. Rofl, Carrie's not dumb, per se, just extremely shy, awkward, and self-conscious. So that tends to not work out in her favor but I mean sometimes you just gotta wonder. It rains in Texas? I always thought that was like the desert state. I'd laugh so hard if Carrie came to pick her up and found her running around naked. Lmao at "She said if I bring home one more stray, she's gonna keep the dog and kick me out." I LOVE that you showed how completely different Kelly and Carrie's home lives are. Like Carrie's got that all-american family while Kelly's almost in poverty. I like that you show the contrast in lifestyles.

Well, I figured they were senior ‘cause otherwise, it’d be weird for me. I kinda like em legal. Lol. And for the record, Carrie graduated magna cum laude in journalism. So it wouldn’t be that difficult for her to skip a grade. Though, that “seen any stars?” and “there’s not a whole lot going on up there” comments do make you wonder. ;) Other than that, I gotta say that I really liked the background on Kelly's situation. Such different worlds for our girls....can't wait to see where it leads!

I just want Kelly's character to be like James Dean's in the movie, although Carrie is the new person (like JD's character). Let's not go literal, if you did, you'd have to kill Ashley... which is so no. You should check out "Rebel Without a Cause" though, it's a cool movie. I wasn't expecting the choir angle, but I am interested in what it can lead to. There's no such thing as too much drama, so I'm ready for some surprises- and it'll be surprising because I was in band, not choir lol. Carrie better make some good conversation when she drives Kelly home, or she could just ask Kelly to give her a tour of the town or something so they could spend time together, it would be cool if Carrie was sneaky like that.

Lol, rubber nuggets. Aww, this gave me a case of nostalgia. You made me remember how much I hated the choir kids, even though I was friends with most of them. Yeah, I was a bandie and the choir kids always used to fuck with my instrument just because it was bangable. These texas kids are weird as hell. No one gives the shy new girl any answers. The choir classes should be interesting though, I mean with two great voices like that? Mind blowing. And what grade are the girls in? My memory was probably lacking in the beginning.

Rofl. I knew watching movies that had nothing to do with the class was a universal thing. Or maybe it's just public schools because teachers never got paid enough and didn't feel making up lesson plans. Yeah, those were the days. I feel so, so bad for Carrie. She's the awkward, shy new student that you just wanna shake into not being scared. Lmao at "What's wrong? The macaroni's not that bad. I mean, sure it bounces, but none of us have died from it yet." So. True. I think Carrie made the right choice too, woulda sucked if she didn't.
