Reviews for Soundtrack

Hi, I read your story Soundtrack, and I wanted to say.... I think it's much more than PWP. I mean, there are four paragraphs of fucking in the beginning, but the rest is just.... describing the situation that follows... Your story had me scroll back and read it again, and that was for a new view of the story, not for the warm, fuzzy feeling. Like, in the end you know they're breaking up, and with that knowledge you read the beginning with other eyes. Yes, it doesn't have much of a plot, but that's because there's only a short situation described. But that short situation gives you like a peek into a longer story.... I think that's really what a good short story is all about. I'm in no way a literature critic, but I think you've written a really good short story here.
I like the way you used the music playing in Eicca's mind as a means of setting/contrasting his mood and thoughts. It's the recurring motif that keeps the story together throughout the three parts, in bed, in the kitchen, and Eicca's memories when leaving. The sex part isn't central about this story, the central part is what happens between their last fuck and Eicca's leaving. It isn't just some random story giving the author an excuse to describe a sex scene. The story doesn't serve the sex scene, the sex scene serves the story, being revealed as their last time as the story continues. I really like this story for the literature, not for the porn qualities.
I really like the visual image it creates on my mind. Harsh light, white-tiled floor, black kitchen shelves, red drops of blood, the cello, pale skin, one guy kneeling on the floor sucking his fingers, the other standing in the doorway... I can so imagine this scene as a photo. Condensing this story even further, down to one photo, one mysterious, symbolic, story-laden photo that contains everything you did and didn't write in your story... As you can see, your story causes more reaction in my head than in my pants ;)

I also read your other story, Hyperventilation. Now that's a porn story the way I like it, steamy, yet gentle, not overburdened with details I don't care for. I realize you can see them together, first time and last time... I liked Hyperventilation better than the other Apocalyptica stories, and Soundtrack touched me in a way I really would not have expected on an adult story site. Congrats, and thanks for writing them!
