Reviews for Do You Know What the Word Private Means?

I'm honestly conflicted about this piece. It really felt more like you were exorcising some anti-Kate Bosworth sentiment rather than telling a story about Orlando Bloom.

There's really not much detail about Bloom's relationship with either Bosworth or Mortensen. The center of the piece is really Bosworth, and I felt a little disappointed by that.

It has the feel of being a reactionary piece, as though you wrote this after having read an article about their relationship that repulsed you.

I suppose, overall, I'm slightly disappointed. I had expected something with more detail into the relationships; why would Bloom insist on so much privacy from her? It's very telling of him - of how much he does not love her - that he would demand that. The details into his hatred (and I don't think that's too harsh with how you have him ruin her at the end) of her are portrayed well enough, but there is nothing of his relationship with Mortensen. He is introduced to the readers only as Bloom is destroying Bosworth's career, and in that he only appears to be a plot device to separate the two of them.

Understand, I'm just telling you my honest reaction to the piece. It's not that I didn't like your writing; the technical aspect is fine. The portrayal of Bosworth worked very well - she comes across as whiny and manipulative, incredibly unlikable. That was very well done.

If you ever chose to do a follow up to this, I would be very interested to see how you develop Mortensen and Bloom.

Thank you for sharing and happy writing!
