Title – Epilogue
By – Erzulie
Contact – ErzuliesDream@yahoo.com
Band – Dir en grey
Pairings - Kyo/Toshiya, Die/Shinya (both implied)
Rating – PG-13? R? I’m not too sure.
Notes – If you don’t know what PV this is based on, you seriously need to check it out. KR Cube, darlings. The Matrix Die, Yakuza Kyo and Sadist Toshiya, not to mention Cyborg (?) Kaoru, and Lady Shinya.
Disclaimer - I don't own Dir en grey ::insert sad face:: This is a work of pure fantasy. I want to say that this is my own personal idea for the end of the PV, maybe because it just depresses me to see Kyo and Toshiya sitting there dead at the ‘end’ of it all. (Really, it’s the beginning of it, but the story telling is vice-versa from that scene on.) So, unlike what I’ve read of everyone else’s ideas, I’m taking the Yakuza looking plot and twisting it to my own advantages. Don’t expect this to be common place. So, are you ready? Good.
Welcome to my continuation/end of KR Cube.
~ Epilogue ~
It was the dead of night, and the club was as silent as the grave. But, that’s what it served as for two young men – or so it seemed. The scene could have been called grisly. As the strobe lights continued to flash across their bodies, the two sat still upon the cushioned seats of the booths where they’d taken the look down the barrel of a gun held by a very cold red head in all black.
The blonde man sat with his head tilted back – obsidian eyes glassy and blank, still outlined in smudged black eyeliner and wide open in death. Beside him was a much taller, swan like beauty – also dead, slumped towards him a bit on the cushion behind them. A single bullet hole in both of them. The blonde man had taken one to the head - the left side of it, right over the bridge of his nose. Straight through the brain. Almost as if the red head had been aiming to hit the place where the third eye was rumored to be. Blood had come from his mouth, the left corner of his then pale lips. His mouth hung open slightly, the crimson rush touching down his chin and neck – a bit had splattered onto his fur coat, as well as onto his chest – which was revealed by how the fur was worn wide open. The short black veil worn by the other dead man touched over his bared shoulder lightly – and the netting of that was also splattered in the blonde’s blood.
The bullet hole in the leggy femme’s body was located on his upper chest, to the left of him – right up under his collar and the two chokers he wore. There was blood on the spikes and the strap of the black collar he wore, the red pyramid studded collar untouched by the smear the symbol of his life’s end. After the blonde had been shot, he’d been brought to the seat to share in the execution rights. After all, he was with the blonde in all other things. Besides, the redhead and his gang had it out for him too. Not just the small fur wearing boy at his side.
They sat in blank silence together, another man dead at their feet. One of their bodyguards had been shot in trying to protect them from the aggression of their rivals, but in the end – it was a pointless sacrifice. Blood streamed from him as well, as it did from the slashed up youth that’d been dragged from one of the lavatories into the main room of the club. His body was over to the side; his white T-shirt made crimson from his blood loss. Everyone else that had been with the main two had run away. That was loyalty for you, after all.
----
The man dressed as a woman sat in the back seat of the sleek black car, looking at the image of the scene just described. The computer screen sat in the lap of an elegantly dressed Cyborg whom had a dead fox decorating his black felt top hat. There were plugs running from the back of his neck to the computer –for power, and for the connection to the tiny cameras the group had planted days ago in the blonde man’s club so they could stalk his movements and then gloat over their kill once it had happened. As they were gloating right then. Well, at least the man dressed in the black, sequined column gown was gloating at the moment. The Cyborg wasn’t prone to emotions any longer, hadn’t been for years – and the red headed man driving was paying too much attention to the road to have the time to celebrate at the present moment.
A little smirk was on the femme man’s face, his painted eyes glinting softly with a look of pure satisfaction. It was over; they’d finally gotten those two damned bastards. At last, after so many years of hunting them, (it had been passed down in his family for generations, this goal) his group had taken down the greatest prey a slayer could ever hope for. Nishimura Tooru – AKA- Kyo – was destroyed, along with his 80 year old upstart fledging, Toshiya. The first had been terrorizing Japan for the better part of at least 700 years – give or take a decade or two. In the past decade, he’d taken cover with the Yakuza – walking in its darkness to rise quickly in rank up the top rungs of the food chain of the syndicate he’d chosen to grace. Of course, his pet and left hand, the sadist fledgling called Toshiya had been there with him the entire time – acting for Kyo when he thought that the matter was too beneath him to treat with personal care. The brazen displays of power and cruelty for those years of terror had made the skin of all slayers crawl to think of it, knowing what the two really were, knowing that they were bringing other blood suckers into the folds of an already corrupt and violent institution. If they’d been allowed to continue, the entire Japanese Mafia would have been taken over by the true creatures of the night. And if the mortal Yakuza was already hard enough to handle, it was unimaginable what it would be like made up of an army of immortal killers.
And it had been Shinya’s group, the group of the femininely dressed young man sitting in that car, which had taken out the beginnings of one of the worlds greatest threats to date. The vampire that wished to turn organized crime into something so much the more sinister than its already dark heritage showed.
“Turn the screen off, Kaoru.” The lovely man stated, reaching up to take down his long hair. As he did so, he wore a small grin – bubbling with happiness inside that he had planned the execution of Kyo himself, allowing his gunman and best slayer, Die, to pull the trigger of the weapon which ripped through the vampire’s head. “It’s over. They’re not moving again.”
“Yes, of course.” Kaoru’s voice was a simple, deep, monotone. He reached back with his free hand to unplug the cords of the computer from his ports, and then he stopped. His hand hung suspended in the air, right over the back of his neck. He raised his eyes up to the lovely man across from him. “Shinya-sama?”
“Yes Kaoru?” Shinya looked up as he shook his hair loose, then he sat back against the cushion behind him, the long auburn strands falling about his slim shoulders like a waterfall.
“Why did we not witness the body of the elder turn to ashes?”
“Because we did not use holy water.” Die replied from the front seat. He reached up one hand from the steering wheel to brush a bit of his chin length, dyed red hair behind his ear. He then adjusted the posh sunglasses he wore a bit before returning his hand to the wheel.
“But that was what the bullet should have been blessed with, wasn’t it? How else could they have been killed?” Kaoru’s monotone filled the silence of the car, making Shinya turn his eyes to the rearview mirror. He could see the driver furrowing his eyebrows.
“There were crosses engraved on the shells of all the bullets I used.” Die stated as he smacked the gum that he’d been chewing for half of the night. Shinya closed his eyes in the back seat, and his forehead soon met his palms as his back bent over his knees. At the exact moments, a little smirk crossed the thin lips of the hawkish faced Cyborg.
“You really are incompetent.” Kaoru voiced softly, the smirk growing as he spoke. His usually blank eyes took on a new look, one of great amusement. Dark amusement.
“Kaoru?” Shinya voiced softly, raising his face from his hands to look at the one who held his laptop so gently, the plugs still stuck in the ports of his neck.
“So incompetent.” Kaoru whispered once more, tsking at the two whom he rode with.
“What the hell is going on with him, Shin-chan? Is he malfunctioning?” Die looked into the back seat of the car, watching the two with concern hidden behind the darkness of his shades.
----
Kyo’s eyes rolled in his head, and then his eyelids fluttered shut. His mouth closed and then he let out a choking sound, lips parting once more. He lurched forward in the seat, his eyes closed tightly as he did so. He growled low in his throat, feeling the bullet lodged in his brain, the hole in his forehead right next to his eyebrow. He began to concentrate on nothing but it, grinding his sharp fangs together as he pushed the silver cased shell from out of the grey matter it had impacted itself in. It came out slowly, making him hiss from the feeling of it as it spun back through his skull once more. Feeling it enter had been nothing, but the exit was becoming almost too excruciating for him to bear. He let out another growl – this one accentuated with a whimper. He wondered for a second how much of his brain had been damaged, then he told himself not to worry about such trivial matters. Once the bullet was out of his head, his healing would kick in fully and whatever damage there had been would be gone within seconds. When the bullet finally fell out onto the floor, he let himself hang forward for a second, sighing softly as he felt the wound close up. He then opened his eyes up and looked down at the thing that had put him into darkness for a matter of an hour. He reached down with tattooed fingers to pick up the silver object.
“I’m a vampire, not a Werewolf.” He muttered - his eyebrow raised as a smirk graced his pale, full lips with amusement. He then let the pads of his fingers feel over the crosses embedded in the shell of the bullet. Once he’d felt over each little form, he started to laugh lightly. The laughter grew in it’s sound, and then he held up the bullet to the open eyes of his fledgling. “Do you see this, Totchi?? Do you see? They tried to kill us with crosses! Isn’t that just great?!” He laughed even louder, as if it were the most amusing thing to ever be stated out loud - and then the laughter stopped abruptly. Kyo, no longer all smiles, flicked the bullet harshly towards one of the bodies lying nearby. He turned his face to watch the thing enter the flesh of one of the mortal corpses with slight interest. He tilted his head gently, shrugged, and then he turned his attention back to his fledgling. His full lips twitched for a moment, and then he lifted up his hand. He felt over the hole that was in the younger vampire’s upper chest with interest, and then he pulled his touch away – and let his nails grow long. He turned his face up to look at his raised hand so to observe what length he had the sharp tools at the end of his fingers to. Satisfied with what he saw, he smirked, then lowered them quickly back to the hole in the fledgling, sinking them deep into his flesh.
He fished out the bullet, and held it in his hand as his nails shrank back down, and Toshiya lurched forward with a loud gasp of pain to lean on Kyo and wrap his arms around the other’s small frame. The beautiful face looked over his Sire’s shoulder as his chin touched the bared skin of the smaller male.
“Feel better?” Kyo purred, throwing the silver thing away from them – and smirking as it entered the wall nearby. He ran his hands lightly down the other’s back, pressing his cheek to the boy’s hair. He closed his eyes as he felt Toshiya nod his head against him, and he smiled. “Good, so do I. I’m sure you’re as hungry as I am too.”
“Yes, Sire.” Toshiya’s hushed voice sounded so sweetly into Kyo’s ear it made the elder vampire grin fully. He continued to stroke down the other’s neck and back, nodding his head then once as he did so.
“Would you like to come with me to see if our new Cyborg has broken his former Masters for us?” The blonde’s voice sounded as though he were speaking of the most pleasant thing imaginable, and Toshiya smiled like a little child against the elder’s shoulder as he felt Kyo’s hand glide so soothingly down his back.
“Yes, Sire.” Toshiya then leaned back so Kyo could remove himself from the seat they’d been situated on for so long. Once the smaller vampire was up, he turned towards the younger and held out his hand. Toshiya reached up and took it, standing with Kyo’s help. He was still weak from the bullet and the blood loss, not to mention the shock of the wound. Kyo, being as old and experienced as he was, happened to be fine – aside from being hungrier than usual. The blonde elder led his fledgling from the club gently, letting the still recovering one take his time in his movements – knowing it was better for Toshiya’s recovery if he did not rush. After all, as long as Kaoru stuck to the new programming Kyo had put into him last week, the blood in the paralyzed bodies of the two slayers should stay fresh until it was needed. After all, Kaoru was not meant to kill them. That would be his and Toshiya’s job.
As Kyo walked, supporting Toshiya effortlessly, he took out a small tracking device from the inner pocket of his fur jacket and looked down at it. He smiled as a tiny red light blipped softly on the sonar of the screen.
“Well, Totchi, at least we don’t have to walk far for refreshments. It seems Kaoru’s been able to prepare our first course of the evening just across town. Would you like the red head or the pretty one?”
“The pretty one.” Toshiya smiled down at his Sire. “I hope he’s not too broken up, really. He seems like he’d have such a lovely scream.”

*1 –The cross does not work because the power of religious symbols works upon faith, where as the holy water would have worked because in their reality, it holds a poison to vampires. It’s just the nickname for the drug. : x just thought you should know ::smirks:: I forgot to go into vast detail with that.
* 2 – Kaoru is a Cyborg in this b/c that’s what the lazer and the switch mode in the PV remind me of. : x
~ I got distracted with the thought of this enough to finally write it. I hope it doesn't suck too much. : x ~
