Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not know Gackt. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Disclaimer: I claim no ownership. But Gackt and Hyde usually find their way onto my wallpaper. ^^;;
Pairing: Gackt/Mana (although only very briefly) Gackt/Hyde
Spug says: Here's the deal! Gackt, Mana, and Hyde aren't the famous people we all know them as. Gackt works at an office and Hyde is a college student. Hyde's about twenty or so and Gackt is, well let's just say old. Mana is so pretty. *pets Mana*
Warnings: WTF? Why are you here if this stuff bothers you? Fuck off if it does!
My Immortal
Chpater 1
"Even broken in spirit as he is, no one can feel more deeply
than he does the beauties of nature. The starry sky, the sea
and every sight afforded by these wonderful regions seem
still to have the power of elevating his soul from earth. Such
a man has a double existence: he may suffer misery and be
overwhelmed by dissapointment, yet when he has retired into
himself, he will be like a celestial spirit that has a halo around
him, within whose circle no grief or folly ventures."
Mary Shelly Frankenstein
Whatever he was feeling, Mana knew that it was very bad. Absentmindedly, his fingers twined with the silver chain around his neck. Everything outside looked normal, the moon shining bright, the street still had puddles from rain that had fallen while he was asleep that noon. He walked away from the window, sitting down on the bed he'd made up only moments ago, its blankets and pillows placed carefully in their proper spots.
He looked like a dark angel sitting upon the black silk sheets. Hands placed gently on his lap, black hair curled, strands falling around his face, eyes in heavy dark makeup, a dress of black lace and silk. He stared at his painted nails, he was becoming very worried. His lover had just left a while ago, kissing him before going to work in the large office uptown. Usually, he called him as soon as he was safely inside his office. Mana tried to convince himself that Gackt was okay, there was nothing to worry about. He couldn't shaked the feeling he had.
He laid down, the silk cold on his skin, sighing heavily and holding himself in a hug.
Suddenly, it smelt of blood. Smelt of it strongly. He sat up on the bed looking around the room. Suddenly there was the sound of breaking glass and someone laughing. These weren't ordinary robbers-Mana felt scared. He could hear the people, vampire hunters, coming up the stairs right towards the room he now occupied. He hated to admit it, but he wasn't what one would call a strong vampire, he could fend off one humman, but not two! He ran towards the door, slamming it and standing in front of it even though he was fully aware that anyone could move his small amount of weight and bust open the door. He tried to calm down just enough to try to send a telepathic message to his lover, but the only thing he could manage was a shriek as he felt whoever was on the other side of the door pound into it. He backed away from the door, his fear even worse as he heared the hunters laughing hysterically.
A hand, with only a small amount of difficulty, punched it's way through the door and unlocked it. Mana knew he was only doing that to tease him. They were only doing that to freak him out-and he really hated to admit it was working. Despite his fear, he somehow collected himself and put on his statuesque glare. If he was going to die, he wouldn't go without a fight. He deffinetly wouldn't go down with them knowing he was afraid.
The face of the first hunter could be seen through the crack of the door as he opened it, "Howdy there! Damn! You're a cute one! Kinda dissapointin'," he make a fake pout.
Mana's features didn't fault, he looked about as pissed and bitchy as he ever had. God, he really didn't want to leave Gackt.
Before he could think of something else to do, Mana was running at the man, sharp nails ready to the slash through his throat. He barely made it to the other man when a painfully loud shot rang out. The man's partner smirked as he watched the vampire fall backwards and wail in pain.
"Well damn buddy! You didn't have to shoot the lil' bugger-it's so cute! How could ya do that?" Of course the question was nothing more than a joke.
Mana held his chest where he'd been shot. He didn't have the powers of older vampires to enable him to heal quickly. The pain filled ever part of his body and he felt like he couldn't breath.
"Hold him down," the man commanded. The so far silent man put his hand on both of Mana's shoulder, holding him down so hard Mana felt he'd break in half. The pain just kept getting worse and worse. He was trying his damndest now to send some sort of message to whoever could hear.
He felt his entire body tense as he felt the other hunter pushing up his skirt, "Well shit! You're a fuckin' guy after all!" Mana was now regretting the lack of putting on anything under his dress. More pain shot through his body as the other man forced his way in, penetrating him without any preperation.
Everything was turning black. He knew he was dying at that moment. The second hunter was wrapping a sharp sort of string around his kneck, pulling it so it cut deeply into his neck. He'd never been in so much pain adn he could do was cry and silently beg that his lover could sense what was happening. He didn't want to die alone.

Gackt had made his usually call to tell Mana that everything was okay, but the phone was still ringing. It wasn't like Mana to leave the house unless he was with him. His increasingly paranoid feelings finally got the best of him and he slammed his cell phone shut before leaving his office to return home. Something was wrong and dreadfully so.
Without a second thought, Gackt was running straight to the bedroom of him and his beloveds. Seeing the door slightly cracked with a hole beside the knob made his heart stop. The smell of blood was too strong. He finally pushed the door open...
Mana laid across the bed, neck cut into and bloody, the dress he wore was now torn in several places and he lay in a pool of his own blood. A silver cross was stabbed into his heart, and it was obvious to Gackt that whomever had done this had raped his beloved.
He walked over to him, his heart breaking with each step that gave him a clearer view of his dead lover.
"M-Mana? Darling?" he sat down on the bed, smoothing down his lover's dark hair.
"Princess, please wake up," tears started falling from his eyes. He stroked Mana's cheek, barrying his face in the feminin man's long hair, "Please Mana wake up!" he cried hysterically.

He watched the house burn. The wooden buidling falling to pieces as the flames swallowed it up. He blinked as the continued to fall from his eyes.
He walked the mile to the forest, still crying, but a small smile on his face as he remembered everything about his smaller lover. They'd thought they were finally away from the hunters...How wrong they had been. He found the small clearing in the middle of the mass of trees. He laid his lover down, taking away the blanket he had wrapped him in carefully. Mana was dead now, but his body would still burn in the sunlight. Gackt knew how much he missed watching the sunrise. He knew that there was enough time to watch it before the sunlight consumed his small body, but he was too scared to ever let Mana stand outside that long to see the sun. He'd held him back so much. Too much.
The sun started to rise overhead and he covered himself in the blanket as he watched the smoke from Mana's body. He knew he couldn't live without Mana, but he had promised he would never kill himself if Mana were to be killed. He would keep that promise no matter how much it hurt. He watched the flames of the sun take away his lover.

As he exited the forest, he took the silver necklace out of his pocket. The locket Mana had always wore. He never saw him without it. He placed it around hsi neck, closing the clasp. He didn't know what to do, but he knew that he could find out. But first he had to find a dark place to stay during the day.
