Title - Killing Me Softly
By – Erzulie
Contact – ErzuliesDream@yahoo.com
Band – Dir en grey
Pairings – DieXKyo, KyoXToshiya
Rating – Most likely NC-17
Notes – Yes, another KR Cube based fic from Erzulie! This one just started to write itself. I was going to work on furthering the one paragraph I have for my new story “The Hunted’, but well… Die-muse started to talk… And here we are ^^ v At first I thought this was going to be another one shot.. But well… no, it seems not. I have planned at least for three to four chapters. Hopefully no more than that. I really have my hands full already!!! XD Also, there will be shifting perspectives, and a lot of history to visit - so you can better understand the relationships within the story line. In general, I hope it ends up making some sense?
Disclaimer - I don’t own Dir en grey ::insert sad face:: No, I don’t think that they’re really in bed together, but my imagination doesn’t really care. After all, it’s fiction, ne? Fake! Anyway - I’m not making money off of this in any way, shape, or form - and I promise to put everything back in the (dis)order in which I found it when I’m done playing. Scouts honor : x Also, the title comes from another song (surprise, surprise) and I’m pretty sure anyone who listens to American popular music would know it. However, I don’t remember who made it, as it’s not up my usual alley of listening enjoyment. If its familiar to you, could you please note it for me so I can give proper credit? Thank you in advance! ^^ v

Part One – Sweet Nothings
“I’m coming for you.” The familiar voice stated over the phone. Kyo closed his eyes and pressed his forehead to the cool surface of the lacquered door jam. He did not reply, but he inhaled sharply – a twinge of fear curling up in his gut. “Did you hear me?”
“Yes, I heard you.” The blonde replied after a few long moments of continued silence. No need to ask how the one on the other end of the phone got his number in the first place. They were Yakuza – both of them. It would be a stupid question to ask. He moved his head so he could look past the doorframe into the room where his friends – his own gang – lay fast asleep, strewn across the large bed like murderous little puppies. In the center of the bed was the leggy beauty he’d run away with, the one he’d created this new collection of madmen with. In the center of the bed, surrounded by their people, lay the one who’d taken him away from the owner of the voice on the phone.
“Is he with you?” The voice purred softly, stirring up more feelings inside Kyo, feelings of need and sorrow, of lust and hatred. Feelings that the blonde had to turn his face from, even if he could not see them. He let his forehead go back against the cool surface, though it was warm that time – due to his body heat.
“Do you really have to ask?” Kyo croaked out, knowing for some odd reason where this was going. The voice didn’t reply to him, and he grimaced lightly. Then, he growled out his true reply, clenching his jaw as he did so. “You know he is, damn it. Why do you want to know?”
“Temper, temper. You always did fly off the handle so easily.” There was a smirk in the tone. The voice was teasing him. Nothing unusual there, or so it wouldn’t have been several years ago. “Do you know how long it took me to find you, Kyo?”
“You answer me first.” The blonde replied; knowing his voice was still strained. He could hear his tone shaking as he fought for control. He was always fighting for dominance over the owner of the voice on the phone. He’d never won it. So, Kyo’d left him. Just walked away. The short, lithe bodied man smirked to himself. It should have been so easy, but oh no. No. Nothing was ever that easy with Andou Daisuke.
“Are you making a demand, my little beauty?” Amusement was clear in Die’s voice; the chuckle deep and hateful as it sounded over the receiver and into Kyo’s ear. It sent a shiver down the blonde’s spine, making him want to hiss and reach out and hit the one on the other end of the phone. Of course, that was impossible.
“Answer me.” He growled as he tried not to take the bait that was laid out for him. “Why do you want to know if he’s here or not? What does it matter?” He kept his eyes closed, his forehead pressed to the frame – as if trying to drive his skull into it and end his life so he didn’t have to deal with his ex any longer. His ex-lover, his ex-boss.
“It matters.” Die whispered - his voice harsh and suddenly dripping with venom. “It matters because that slut made you betray me. Made you leave me. How could you leave me for a dumb whore, Kyo? Was it because he let you fuck him?”
“You fuck off, Andou.” Kyo growled, moving from the doorframe then, though he landed a punch to it before he walked - grimacing when he’d felt his bones pop against the hardness of the surface. He’d made the frame rattle though. The blonde shook his hand in the air once, twice, and then turned so he could walk through the little corridor of his apartment. He entered the living room in a few short steps, his feet bare against the tatami. “Don’t talk about Toshiya that way.”
“Why not? It’s what he is . . . what he was. What he always shall be.” Die inhaled softly as he listened to Kyo practically bristle over the receiver, a smirk coming to his lips as he did so. He could just imagine the little blonde pacing around the room he was in, brimming with unholy rage. Kyo probably looked so beautiful right then.
The redhead knew the other was most likely stripped down to his underwear, and he found himself wondering if Kyo was wearing the leopard print boxers he’d given him once. After all, they’d been Kyo’s favorite right up to the time he’d left him. Die hadn’t been able to find them, so he knew Kyo had to have taken them with him. A soft smirk came to the mob boss’s face at the thought of Kyo in those boxers. He looked like a small, deceitful slice of heaven in those. Die closed his eyes, licked his own full lips and tried not to growl in want at the thought of Kyo which came to his mind. The memory of the youth filled his mind’s eye, not letting it turn away.
Kyo’d been laid out across a bed, his hands bound above his head, his toned little body writhing wantonly against the sheets and blankets. The blonde head had been tossed back, eyes closed and his full, lush mouth open in lustful ecstasy as he begged Die to fuck him senseless. The blonde’s half bared hips rolled slowly in a heated dance against the air as he pleaded to be taken. Die had just watched as Kyo had rubbed his ass against the mattress, the action pulling the boxers down further on his hips – his cock jutting out of the fly, thick and hard and pulsing with life.
The memory almost made Die sigh in wistful longing. He wished he could go back to such pleasurable nights with the one he loved so deeply. Simply to watch him become so damned wanton, to listen to Kyo plead for him to shove his cock in that precious, greedy little ring of muscle the blonde’s legs were spread wide to reveal. Those had been good nights. Nights that made him want to weep in want for them to happen again, even though Die knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they could not. Not ever again. Kyo had betrayed him, and for that . . .
Die controlled his emotions, and opened his eyes and let them narrow as he spoke.
“And you know I know you wanted him, since that time when you first met him. The way you two ground against each other on the dance floor, it was so fucking obvious, you devious little demon -my most darling Angel. Do you remember how hard I fucked you that night? All because that filthy bitch of a stripper rubbed his damned, skanky rump all over your crotch. It was entirely his fault, Kyo. But, you had to learn. So, I taught you in a way you’d understand. I guess the lesson didn’t stick though. No, it didn’t stick at all, obviously. Maybe I should have made you a gelding, na? Would that have stopped you? I doubt it, for some reason. You threw your world away for him. You abandoned your family; you abandoned me for him. For trash with a pair of long legs that lead to a hole, which I’m sure, is crawling with disease. I hope it was well worth it, my darling. I hope he’s a good fuck. I hope you core his ass every night until he begs you to stop.” Die sighed then, a dramatic sound over the receiver. “Anyway . . . I’m getting off subject, aren’t I? Yes. Back to why I called. You ran. So, do you know where that leaves me?” He didn’t give the other time to reply. “That leaves me with only one choice. And that’s why it matters that he’s there with you -because he’s going to pay for taking you away from me. From our family. Now, are you satisfied, my glorious little bitch?”
“I’m not your bitch.” Kyo bit out, his free hand then on the glass of the large window which looked down at the city sprawled out below – the lights dazzling his eyes even as the sheer truth of the height of his perch made him feel dizzy and light headed. He wanted to toss the phone out of the window after punching his hand through the glass, but no. The lithe blonde, down to those leopard print boxers Die had guessed he was wearing, restrained himself from his wants. However, he was seething at the words Die had used towards Toshiya, seething – but he could think of nothing to growl back at the older man on the other end of the phone. But then, what could he say, really? Could he tell Die his true reasons for leaving? That would be silly. But, they had nothing to do with Toshiya. Or rather, not the way Die seemed to be thinking. But then . . . maybe they did? He shook his head clear of such thoughts, and looked at the outline of his ghostly reflection in the glass. Glittering obsidian eyes watched the city twinkle with lights all around his high rise, and then he closed them against the vision of the nighttime world.
“Yes. You’re right, you’re not. Not anymore.” Die smirked, his voice sounding rough to Kyo’s ears. The sorrow in the words was apparent. It made the blonde smirk with small victory. “But I see you make no second defense over your whore, my darling. Is it because you know, deep down inside your little black, twisted heart and soul, what I said is true?”
“No, you misread my lack of words - like you always have, Andou. You’re obviously asking for satisfaction in the form of my continued wrath. I’m not going to give you what you ask for again. Remember, I’m not your bitch any longer.” Came the response, tender and almost dripping with poisoned honey. Kyo smiled softly, opening his eyes to look at his reflection once more – seeing the cruel spread of his own full lips as he imagined the other pulling the phone from his face to growl at it silently. He’d seen Die do just that too many times not to know that’s what the small silence from the older man was about.
“You’re trying my patience, Kyo. Do you think I enjoy even thinking about what I have to do to you?” Die hissed over the phone at his ex-lover. He closed his own eyes and tried not to growl at the other any more, not wanting to show how the small blonde had turned the tables on him just then, in a manner of speaking. After all, Kyo was still his prey. He could not give in to the other’s small victory. The blonde’s returned silence was enough to tell him that he’d won back his upper hand. “I know what you’re thinking, Kyo. You’re asking yourself if I really will kill you.”
“No, I’m not asking myself that. I’m asking myself if you’re going to do it yourself – which would amuse me greatly if you did.” Kyo replied - his voice hushed as he pressed his palm flat over the glass of the window – his eyes flickering over the distant street below. “Or will you just get Kaoru to do it, like you usually do?”
“I’d kill Kaoru if he even thought of taking the honor of giving you death into his own hands. No, Kyo. You’re mine. Everyone knows that. Save for you and Toshiya, that is.” Die breathed softly, his voice almost shaking as he spoke.
“That’s not what I asked.” Kyo replied, his own vocal tone matching that of his ex-lover’s. “But it does give me the reply I want. And you know, Andou . . . maybe you’re not winning after all.” He smirked, staring at his own face in the window once more. He took a breath. “So, you’ve found me. Good for you, congratulations. Come and get me then, Die-ai. I might not even fight you, just to see you do it - because I don’t think you’ve got the balls. So, come on. Come and play. I’m waiting.”
“Oh, I’ll do it, Kyo-ai. You can count on that.” Die whispered, as if making the most romantic promise of his lifetime to his ex-lover on the other end of the phone. “It’s a date, baby. Don’t you even doubt it for a moment. It’s a date.”
