Flashing her pass at the guard, Emma made her way up the hallway to the studio that had been assigned to her and the band she would be working with for the next few weeks. Emma struggled to remember the name of said band, “um avenged something something, no um ….ah that was it avenged sevenfold, what a name” she thought to herself.

Emma shook her head and prepared herself for whatever lay behind the door. Normally she would have been briefed about the band, their music style and their lyrical ambitions but due to time constraints she was heading in blind.
Hell Emma wasn’t even sure why they needed her, she was a songwriter and obviously they had somebody in the band that was undertaking that, why would they need her?

Matt paced around the lounge type studio room, pausing here and there to look at the numerous pictures and posters of famous musicians and actors, large display of awards and painting that adjourned the walls. He turned back to the conversation the guys were having about weather the pro would be a young hip punk or an old stuffed shirt. He was just about to add his opinion when the door opened and a young female walked into the room and shut the door behind her.

Emma took in the sight before her. Five totally hot tattooed male specimens stared at her from their scattered locations around the causal lounge. Taking a deep breath and then another Emma opened her mouth and finally said “hi ya guys im Emma and im going to be your co writer for the next few weeks”

Matt smiled as the guys took in the sight before them, in all the different possibilities they came up with for what this pro would be like, nobody even thought that he may be a she.

Zacky smiled and approached Emma “Hi im zacky and those two over there” he pointed to the couch “are synyster gates better known as syn or Brian, and Johnny”
Pointing towards the back of the room he pointed to another guy “this one here is Jimmy or the rev and last but not least this big guy here is matt shadows”

Emma smiled as the cutie in front of here introduced the band members to her one at a time. “Nice to meet you all guys, I will hopefully have all your names down pat before I leave you guys today” she said as she placed her bag and notebooks onto a spare couch space.

Turning towards the room Emma asked “just a quick little question; who is the songwriter amongst you guys? Is it a solo effort or a group thing?”

Syn shook his head and answered in a gruff manner “mainly its shadows that does the writing but we do have input and we do write together sometimes. Why?”

Emma’s smile faulted at his abrupt tone “what is this guys problem, I only asked”
To the room she replied “im just trying establish the best way to undertake this and where the creativity lies”

As she opened her mouth to continue Johnny burst in with a question
“So where are you from? Im trying and failing to place you accent”

Emma sighed “so much for the promised quick and easy assignment”
“Australia, im Australian and I have an Australian accent, now can we do some work you guys may have nothing pressing but I have deadlines and more pressing matters I can attended to if your just going to waste my time” she said with a glared direct at syn and Johnny.

Jimmy smiled and burst out with a chocked laugh “hey I apologise for them we’ve been cooped up together so long on the bus that we’ve become a wee bit anti social of late” Emma smiled at jimmy ‘finally somebody with some common sense” she though
