I Know You

Authors Notes and such - I just wanted to explain a few things before I dove straight in with a story that was understandable.

This is slightly different from you average “Mary-Sue meets Johnny Depp and they have sex” fic. You might want to read this so the story makes sense. Just to give a bit of background; Vanessa and the children never happened for Johnny, because I don’t feel comfortable writing a story in which their relationship/family ends, mainly because I think it’s disrespectful to them as a family.

Johnny’s last relationship was with Kate Moss (and no, I don’t have the same issues writing about them as a couple because their relationship ended a long time ago). A few years after that (and a couple of brief flings) ended he decided to live more simply and answered an add looking for a flat mate (he is obviously still an actor, but I decided to write the story in this style because I thought it would be slightly different to a lot of the JD fics that are posted – not that they are bad because they're not – and feedback as to whether you think this fic works would be appreciated.).

So Johnny lives with 2 guys and a girl and just to give a short background on each of them…

Maggie: A late twenty-something year old who works in the brutal New York fashion industry as a junior designer for Oscar de la Renta. Petit, brunette with wild curls and wicked sense of humour. Smokes like a chimney and laughs like a drain. Was her idea to advertise for a new flatmate after her long time boyfriend left her for his early twenty-something PA.

Sam: A thirty-something (but getting closer to forty) year old city banker. Has known Sam since he used to tease her for being a girl when they were young children living in the same neighbourhood in Kentucky. Tall, dark and roguish with a reputation for being a bit of a womaniser. The apartment belongs to him.

Rupert: Pushing forty, Rupert writes movie scores and it was him who tipped Johnny off about a certain ad for a flatmate in the paper. Is very well known in the industry and has some impressive Original Soundtracks to his name. Was briefly married to, and has a child with Norah Jones but they are now divorced. Tall, rugged and British, Rupert met Maggie when she was 20 doing work experience in England in the wardrobe department for a Period Movie he wrote and composed the soundtrack for. They became good friends, and once the movie was finished he came back to New York with her, originally for a holiday, but ended up staying permanently.

And obviously we need no background on Johnny Depp; just that he has been living with them for almost four years now, and has no intention of moving anytime soon.

Oh, and the story starts with a prologue of when Johnny first moved in, just to give a bit of an introduction.
