Davey was pumped full of energy, the fans always did this to him. The only thing that would make it all better was if it wasn’t so hot. It was mid July and AFI were playing for Warped Tour 2006 and currently they are in Oregon. The top temperatures this day was a little over 90 degrees. He looked at the nearby clock and winced there was about an hour before they went on.

He was alone on the bus; for the others had decided to go out and explore for awhile. This was fine with him for it meant the bus would be a touch cooler. He tucked his hair behind his ear and winced. What he would do for another shower at that very moment, but there was no time so he would have to live with how sweaty he felt.

Jade had decided to go out with his brother Smith to visit some of the other bands. He was never bothered by the heat like Davey. That was why he was walking around at that very moment. He became snappy when he got too hot and Jade didn’t want to be caught behind Davey’s irritation. He loved the carefree affectionate Davey, that was the man he had fallen in love with. That’s right, he could admit it he was in love with his best friend. He might be in love with his best friend, but he could never tell him, for fear of ruining their friendship. Jade lately had been trying to force his feelings for his best friend away, by dating this really nice girl, but really Jade knew there was only one person for him and that was Davey.

Since Davey couldn’t do his first choice of activities, decided to surf the internet, and perhaps he could forget the heat by doing so. He decided to search for his name, and the first link that was on the page was to a story. He clicked on it and glanced at the subject, it caused heat to flush over his face. He began to skim read the story and was shocked to discover that it was like the author knew he and Jade personally.

In the story Davey had tried to commit suicide it was a story based of their song Silver and Cold. He knew there were stories like this out there, but none made him feel like the author got in his head like this one. He scrolled back up to the top of the page to check on the authors name it simply said ‘Jade.’

He instantly thought of his Jade, even though he knew the two Jades could not be the same. His Jade would never write something like this nor would he think of Davey that way. He wished he would think of him like the ‘Jade’ did in the story, but he knew it wouldn’t happen.

Jade had left his brother, when he noticed that there was fifteen minuets left before they where on. He made his way back to the bus and knocked on the door to announce to Davey that someone was back. “Davey, mind if I intrude on your solitude?”

At the sound of the knock Davey jerked his chair away from his computer. “Its ok baby, come in.” He moved back to his computer, to quickly shut the laptop top down.

Jade entered with a smile on his face, looking his usual chipper self. “Did you enjoy your time alone, Dave?”

Davey smiled and nodded, “It was nice. Much more cooler with everyone gone.”

Jade was glad that Davey had enjoyed it which made him even more pleased that he had decided to leave. “How’s the voice?”

Davey took a sip of his ice chi tea before answering. “In perfect working order. You think the crowd will be pumped up for us?” he asked, taking another sip of his tea, finishing it off.

Jade almost laughed, he was cute when he was insecure. “Of course Davey, you know our fans are always pumped to see us. Always begging for more.”

He smiled as he leaned his head back onto the back of the chair. “Your right, Jade.”

Jades eyes traveled over Davey’s form, his skin looked perfect to Jade, and his hair made him want to run his hands through it.

Davey opened his eyes and they met those of Jade’s. ‘How long had Jade been standing there, staring at him? Perhaps he was attracted to him even just a little.’ he thought, it was a pleasant train of thought. He stretched his arms over his head before getting out of his chair. “Let me go check my makeup, then we can head out to the stage.”

Jade’s eyes followed Davey’s perfect ass as he left the room and headed for the bathroom. Jade noticed Davey’s laptop was still on and couldn’t help sneaking a look. He clicked it open, browsing along the story that was still on the screen. And with what he saw he quickly closed it like he had found it. Jade felt dangerous today and he really couldn’t figure out why.

“Ready Jade?” he jerked his attention to Davey as he returned.

“Yes Dave, I’m ready.” Jade reached for Davey’s umbrella and held it out to him. Davey frowned slightly, there was something going on with Jade today and he wondered if he should ask him what was wrong. He took his umbrella from Jade and opened it as they exited the bus.

Davey didn’t have any time to worry about Jade’s behavior, as the band started to take stage. For him, it was an powering to watch the crowed. They were still as Adam, Hunter and Jade took the stage, but as soon Davey sauntered out the crowed started to move like an ocean wave. As he started to sing, he was pleased to see that all the crowed seemed to know the words and sang along with him. He usual liked to play up to Jade to please the crowed and himself even though it was more like torture then anything.

Jade’s eyes followed Davey time and time again. He felt himself harden as he watched his friend’s almost sexual movements. He was glad at that moment for his guitar, they didn’t need a scandal at this moment in time. He moved to stand close to Davey, as they started playing ‘Love like Winter.’ he craved his touch, even if it was brief. So as they hit the chores, Jade used it as an excuse to brush against him as he shared Davey’s mike.

Davey drew in a sharp breath it was unusual for Jade to initiate the touching. He took a few steading breaths to calm his erection so that it wouldn’t be noticeable to everyone. He needn’t have worried the crowd was too caught up in the music.

The next song up on the list was one of Jade’s favorites to play. Silver and Cold. During this song he could show his love for Davey without everyone thinking it strange. He enjoyed pointing at the crouching Davey when they reached the ‘My beautiful one’ line of the song. To Jade, Davey was his beautiful one.

Davey was very relieved when the song was over and they could leave the stage. His eyeliner was beginning to smear down his cheeks. “You did great Davey.” Jade praised.

“Glad you thought so baby.” and in pure Davey fashion, leaned in and gave Jade a soft kiss on his cheek.

Jade was horny and felt like testing the boundaries. He was tired of hiding his feelings all the time. In fact, he had decided he needed to get in touch with his girlfriend, it wasn’t right to her. Giving her hope of them being together

“You did great as well Jade.” Davey said in a breathless voice. Jade brushed his bangs back out of his eyes smiling.

“Glad you think so Davey. Your’s is the only opinion that matters to me.”

Davey stopped dead in his tracks, ‘Was Jade being serious or was he joking?’ Jade was in no joking mood, what he had said he had meant. Jade let his body brush up against Davey’s .His heart skipped a beat “Jade?”

Jade pressed himself fully against Davey’s back, “I can’t do it anymore Davey, I can’t hide how I feel about you.” Jade didn’t care who all saw them or over heard what he was saying.

He was shocked his Jade was... Davey let out a low moan. He could feel Jade’s hardness, for him, press against his ass. “Jade, I never knew.”

He took a deep sniff of Davey’s hair. “I never meant for you to know.”

He started to steer Jade to the bus, but stopped him once they reached to door. “Why now? You had to have know how I felt about you?” Jade shook his head he had no clue he just thought Davey was just being Davey. He wanted to cry, his Jade truly was oblivious, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. A thought suddenly came to Davey “What of...”

Jade silenced him with two fingers pressed to his lips. “Its over between us. There is only one person for me Davey, and that is you.”

Davey wanted to take Jade into his arm and not let go, but he couldn’t do it here. “What made you change your mind to tell me?”

Jade looked sheepish; “I noticed the story on your computer, and thought maybe I should give it a shot. If you are reading something like that, maybe there was a chance for me.”

Davey was shocked, but not angry at the invasion of privacy since. It brought them together. “And what if your assumption was wrong, then what?” Davey teased caressing Jade’s arm with his hand.

“Then I would have blamed my craziness on the heat.” he replied.
