My first fan fic. I’m not too sure how it’s gonna turn out, but I’m hoping you guys like it. It’s gonna be boring for the first two chapters, but it’ll get good after that.
Getting an internship at Reprise sounded cool to Brandi when she first applied. She didn’t think that the only exciting thing she would be doing was making coffee and pampering to bitchy managers. She carried the two cups down the hall, turning left at the end. She pushed the door open, putting on her smile.
“Here you go Mr. Schechter.” She handed the two cups to the man behind the desk, who smiled back at her. “Thanks Brandi. How’s the internship going?”
Brandi smiled, shrugging. “Eh, who would have thought making coffee had so much to do with music.” Brian laughed, setting the cups down. “Yeah, I figured you’d say something like that. It seems like that’s all you do.”
Brandi smiled. “Yeah, but whatever it takes to make it up. Did you have to do something like this before you made tour manager?” Brian nodded. “Yep. Except, everyone handed me money, and I went down the street to get food.” Brandi laughed.
Brian was the only nice person here. He would always strike up a conversation with Brandi when she brought in coffee, and they would always share a few good laughs. He signaled her to sit.
“What do you think about tour managing?” Brandi tilted her head, thinking. “I don’t know. It’s probably pretty cool, right?” Brian nodded. “Yeah, you get to travel the world. It’s quite fun.” Brandi nodded.
A beep resounded from the phone on the desk. “Mr. Schechter, your two o’clock is outside your door.” Brian smiled. “Well, I’ll talk to you tomorrow Brandi.” Brandi stood, shaking his hand. “See you tomorrow Mr.….” Brian cut her off. “Call me Brian.”
Brandi smiled, nodding. “See you tomorrow, Brian.” The door opened, framing a blonde haired man. He stood about five eight, hazel eyes, and a childish smile. “Hey Gerard. Come on in and sit down. See you Brandi.” Gerard locked eyes with Brandi for a second, making her freeze in place. She knew who he was, but didn’t think much of him. He was probably one of those egotistical rockers. She walked out, and felt eyes watching her go.
As the door shut, she heard Gerard talk. “Who was that?” Brandi sighed. Asshole. She walked to the front desk, leaning over and smiling at Mikel. “What are you doing?” He sighed, typing away. “Finishing a few notes. It’s two. You can go home if you want.” Brandi smiled. “What are you doing when you’re done here?”
Mikel laughed. “I’ll be here all night. They’re setting up a tour for the Used, and I have to do all the paper work.” Brandi frowned. “All right. See you tomorrow then.” He nodded, not looking away from his work. Brandi went into the side office, grabbing her backpack and car keys.
She walked out, heading towards the front door of the building and walked out into the sunshine. She closed her eyes and tilted her head back, letting the sun warm her neck and face. She smiled. “You having fun?” Brandi turned around, looking at the front of the building, Gerard Way walking down the steps lighting a smoke.
“Watch out. Sunshine’s bad for vampires.” Gerard smirked at her, blowing smoke out slowly. “Yeah, and whoever said I was a vampire?” Brandi sighed, turning her head away. Gerard laughed. “What’s the matter?” Brandi looked at him. “Nothing, I just don’t like talking to douche bags.”
Gerard raised an eyebrow. “What makes you think that? You don’t even know me.” Brandi laughed. “You’re one of those typical rock star boys who think they’re hot shit because they made it big.”
He smiled. “Ouch. Guess you have to get to know me then, because you have the wrong impression.” Brandi shook her head. “Whatever.” She turned and started her walk down the street to her car. She heard footsteps running towards her, and she sighed. Gerard appeared next to her, smiling. “So, Brandi.” Brandi stopped at her car and looked at him. He smiled. “Would you like to get to know me over a cup of coffee?” He smiled his grin that was so boyish like. Brandi shook her head. “Not today. I’m tired and want to go to sleep.” Gerard made a face. “How about tomorrow? On your lunch break?” Brandi sighed, putting her keys in the lock and opening her door.
She got in and started to shut the door, but Gerard stopped it with his hand. He bent low and looked at her with piercing eyes. “See you tomorrow.” Brandi looked away, shutting the door, and after roaring the engine to life, left, leaving Gerard there staring after her, smiling.
