Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not know the members of Green Day. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
SO! My second fic. As you can probably figure, it's about *sighs* Frank Edwin Wright III. More commonly known as... *drum rolls* Tré Cool! And for the sake of saving time, I'm writing it 'Tre Cool' not 'Tré.' Because I feel like it. :D
Tell me if you like it, hate it, whatev.

“I love you.” He said softly, snuggling down into her collar bone, sweat dripping from both of their bodies. She closed her eyes and sighed inaudibly.
On tour, with her boyfriend Jacob, and his band, The Thrashers. They had been touring with some band she had never heard of. But then, she never really paid attention to who sung the songs she listened to. She just sang along.
Jake’s snoring told Alexis that he was asleep. She thanked God silently. She had had enough of him for a little bit. If only she could get out from under his naked torso…
She slipped out from underneath him successfully and pulled on some underwear, a bra, a black tank tunic and some black strap jeans. Her short light brown hair was messed up, but no messier than usual, and her green eyes peeked from behind her thick black framed glasses. She smiled at the only person up, Demeter. She was the bass player in the band. She was chatting with a short, big-breasted blonde that watched as Alexis left.
Alexis pulled on a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and zipped up, as well as pulled the hood on. It was chilly in northern Wisconsin at night, even if it was late April. In the distance, she spotted a bus with loud music pouring from it, so she decided to investigate. The door to the tour bus was wide open and she read, “Green Day” on it and shrugged. Didn’t know them. The music was loud enough to be heard on the other side of the parking lot, and extremely familiar. She listened closer…
“I was a young boy that had big plans,
Now I'm just another shitty old man ,
I don't have fun and I hate everything,
The world owes me, so fuck you
Glory days don't mean shit to me,
I drank a six pack of apathy,
Life's a bitch and so am I,
The world owes me, so fuck you,
Wasted youth and a fistful of ideals,
I had a young and optimistic point of view,
Wasted youth and a fistful of ideals,
I had a young and optimistic point of view
I've decomposed, and my gut's getting fat,
Oh my god I'm turning out like my dad,
I'm always rude, I've got a bad attitude,
The world owes me, so fuck you
The wife's a nag and the kid's fucking up,
I don't have sex 'cause I can't get it up,
I'm just a grouch sitting on the couch,
The world owes me, so fuck you
Wasted youth and a fistful of ideals,
I had a young and optimistic point of view,
Wasted youth and a fistful of ideals,
I had a young and optimistic point of view
I was a young boy that had big plans,
Now I'm just another shitty old man,
I don't have fun and I hate everything,
The world owes me, so fuck you
Glory days don't mean shit to me,
I drank a six pack of apathy,
The world's a bitch, so fuck you,
The world's a bitch, so fuck you
The world's a bitch, so fuck you.”
“Hey!” Alexis said loudly, knowing the song. Someone staggered out of the door and fell, laughing his ass off.
“Hey there! What’s your name?” He asked cheerily. She smiled, helping him off of the ground. “Are you a fan?”
“No, I’m Alexis Cole. I date Jake Green, from The Thrashers?” She asked, seeing if he knew her.
“How come you were blonde last night?” He asked.
“I wasn’t. I didn’t see Jake last night.” She said.
“He introduced this girl as…. Tara?” He asked. She shook her head, suddenly realizing what was going on.
“Um, nice to meet you! I have to go catch my boyfriend cheating on me!” She said quickly, running off in the opposite direction where she came from.
“I’m Tre Cool by the way!” He yelled after her, watching her run. Tre bit his lip. He didn’t mean to get him in trouble… but if he was cheating, he was saving this girl from the worst thing.
Alexis stormed onto the bus and ran into the back. Jake was laying on some blonde, just like the strange man said. “JAKE?!” Alexis screamed dramatically. “How could you?”
“Alexis!” He said, getting up. There was a moan from the girl as he detached himself from inside of her. “It’s not what it looks like! I swear I just fell on her!”
“Oh whatever.” She said, grabbing her bags and stuffing as many things in them as she could. When that was done she left, ignoring the pleas of Jake.
She stepped outside the bus and shut the door, hoping that no one followed her. Even though she was hoping to lose Jake, she was frustrated. “Was I not good enough for you?!?” She screamed into the night, kicking her suitcases over in anger. She had fallen out of love with him for some time, just hadn’t had the guts to tell him so. He was happy, so she was happy. For him. He needed someone who loved him, not just a warm body to screw now and again. “UGH!” She screamed, sitting on the ground and lighting a rare cigarette with a shaky hand.
“You know smoking causes cancer?”
“You know I don’t care right now.” Alexis said, taking a puff. She only smoked when she absolutely needed it. Lately it had become a weekly thing whereas it used to be about one every two months.
“You should.” The guy from earlier said, sitting down next to her. “Tre Cool, unless you didn’t hear me.”
“Yeah. Alexis Cole.” She said, snuffing her newly lit cigarette out. “I will take your advice, you seem nice and reasonable.”
“If you think I’m reasonable, you’ll think the rest of my friends are health nuts!” He joked, smiling lopsidedly. She giggled.
“I better get going back to Chicago… It’ll be a long drive…” She said, looking out into the sky.
“You don’t have to go.” He said. She smiled at him.
“Scratch the nice part, you seem really nice.” Alexis started, loving the blue in his eyes. “But, I couldn’t possibly stay here in the same bus as Jake…”
“Come on the Green Day bus, I’m sure you would love to meet Billie…” She shook her head. “Mike?” Another head shake. “Me?” And another.
“I have never heard of Green Day. I know the Grouch, but I’ve never heard of Green Day. Only the songs.” She said, hoping he knew what she was talking about.
“I get it. Then you are a fan!” He said excitedly. She smiled and he picked up her bags, heading their way over to the other bus on tour. Alexis had made a new friend, soon to be more, and was overjoyed. Not retarded.

Love it? Hate it? Tell me! I will update when I receive at least four different reviewers, unless a week passes before that. :D
So the thing about this fic is that the last sentence will be a lyric, or part of one, off of the American Idiot CD. One for each. So how many chapters will I have? *waits* Answer correctly and I will dedicate the next chapter to you, as well as send you an internet cookie! :D:D
Thanks for reading.
