AN: This will be a Zikki story. It will be set in January 2005. This means Zac and Nikki will meet over a year before they were originally supposed to. But Hairspray will go a head as scheduled. Zac and the others will be starting promoting it soon. Vanessa will have the nude photo scandal earlier and she and Zac will break up before the filming of HSM 2.
Fools Rush In
Zac sat on the love seat in his hotel room, as he glared at his girl friend of a year. She fidgeted under his glower. His expression was less then loving and forgiving.
Zac hissed at her “I came to New York to meet up with Lucas and Corbin, not for you and Ashley to follow us. I and the guys wanted a weekend just to ourselves, no girls of any description. It’s bad enough my dad and Dylan is in a room a couple of doors down.”
David Efron had decided to have a guy’s weekend with his youngest son. It was just very convenient for him and inconvenient for his oldest son, that the trip had been planned for the same weekend his eighteen year-old son was having a guy’s weekend with his two HSM co-stars.
Zac stood up from the love seat and walked over to the built in mini bar. He poured himself a glass of orange juice and added ice before turning back to face his now ex- girl friend, and spat.
“We’re finished Ness. God damn it. I can’t believe you let some other guy take pictures of you, fucking nude pictures at that. And if that wasn’t enough, you just had to go and get caught. And those stupid pictures ended up all over the damn internet.”
He added irritably “Jesus H Christ, you’re seventeen years old. And already your letting guys, guys who aren’t me by the way, take nude pictures of you. I sure as hell don’t want to be anywhere near you, especially not when Disney have a nice long chat with you. And you know they will.”
He took a sip from his glass, then told her “I’ll be seriously amazed if your asked back to do HSM2, after we’re finished promoting HSM. It’s hardly a great example to set is it, Ness?”
He added “Like come on, you’re supposed to be some kind of role model for those young fans, honestly, what kind of role model ends up with nude pictures of her splattered all over the internet, and at the age of seventeen for crying out loud?”
Vanessa had tears in her eyes as she spat back at him “It was an accident. I never meant for it to happen.” Zac smirked and asked blandly “What, you didn’t mean to cheat, or do you mean you never planned to get caught cheating?”
He laughed bitterly “Wow, you really are getting an early start aren’t you. What do you want to be like all of those other sluts out there? Who do you think you are someone famous enough, who has enough influence to get themselves out of situations like this? Ha, you’re not even close to having such power and influence, not even a single foot in the door towards having such an influence.”
He added “Ashley who is twenty, she can’t even pose nude because of Disney. What the hell made you think they’d make an exception for you, someone who was four years younger?”
Zac shook his head and told her “You better get back to yours and Ashley’s room, as I currently can’t stand the mere sight of you. You and I are finished Ness. This is my weekend, my chance to be a normal eighteen year-old and hang out with my best guy friends before we start promoting HSM.”
Vanessa stifled a sob, as she made her way towards the door. Zac called out to her and asked “Just tell me one thing. Did you sleep with the guy?” Vanessa flushed and couldn’t meet his eyes.
