Disclaimer: Never Happened! No, no, no! All fiction, I don't know A7x, I'm not making any money. This is all made up. |
A/N: So I changed this up a little. I've been thinking about this for awhile; we all have our fictions on here with the guys (obviously) having the hots for each other. With all the stories I've read and written the other band members are always fine with each other being gay and all that. So I decided to write a darker fiction where the others weren't so cool with their friends being gay. So if you don't like downers, you should probably read something else.

The wind on the roof was chilling and fierce; his short hair was mussed and tangled in its fury. His bare arms were pimpled with goosebumps but he ignored the cold. The gray sky above threatened snow but so far hadn’t done the deed. He stood unmoving watching the city below both apathetically and with rapt interest.
Everything was gray; the sky, the buildings, the sidewalk except the people. The people below were a bright spot. Their different clothes blended together to a muddied rainbow of colors. Oblivious to his piercing gaze they scuttled about their lives shifting the colors of the rainbow and making it more like a winding river of color. He wondered how much he would disrupt their precious lives if he took a step forward. That’s all it would take to send him crashing to the unyielding pavement below. How much would it hurt? Would it hurt? No human could survive a ten story drop.
“Matty?” Zack’s soft voice called, even with the howling wind he could hear his hushed voice he always could. He turned to the smaller guitarist but didn’t step back from the edge. Piercing emerald met golden hazel and held him a willing prisoner. He could find himself in Zack’s eyes; any time he was lost those beautiful gems found him again and tugged him home.
“Matty. It’s cold without you.” His whisper was pained but Matt didn’t move. “It’s always cold.” He said in a low whisper. Zack shook his head and joined him at the edge wrapping an arm around his waist, “It’s never cold when you’re close.” He said nuzzling under his chin. Matt pulled him into a full hug and glanced down and the mass of people below and held Zack tighter and warmer. Was death truly cold? How did anyone know? Maybe death was warm, like hot chocolate on a snowy day.
He pulled himself from his thoughts and found Zack’s gemstone eyes again, between the green and flecks of gold and hints of blue there was a fire that lit his eyes from the inside. Zack’s soft lips pressed against his tenderly and with a gentleness he only used with Zack he returned the innocent kiss.
He stepped back, stepping up onto the ledge. The noise below seemed to grow louder when he was up higher. Zack looked up at him but stepped up onto the ledge with him. How long would he fall? The wind pushed him forward, toward the dented stairwell door, as if it cared.
Zack’s arms were around his waist again and his bright eyes found his again, “It’s cold without you.” He whispered holding him close. Matt blinked and wrapped his arms around his waist and shoulders. Zack pressed his nose into his neck and breathed in his scent; Matt sighed and buried his face in his silky hair. He closed his eyes and held Zack tight against him loving the warmth of his body pressed against his, his spicy cologne tickling his nose and his soft warm breath on his neck.
Dimly he heard someone call his name, but it wasn’t Zack’s sweet voice so he ignored it. Zack pulled back and looked away and Matt followed his line of sight. Brian was in front of the door, his lips were moving but Matt didn’t hear his words. The wind roared in his ears and drowned out every sound. His eyes were wide and dark; he took a step toward them while his lips continued to move.
Zack looked back to him and again gently pressed the lips together. He leaned into him, subtly pressing him backward. He held Zack tighter and slipped his tongue into his scorching mouth and let himself fall backwards toward the colored stream of people and the grey sidewalk below.
