The wars of good and evil have been waged since the formation of the universe. Contrary to popular belief the sides are not as black and white as humans would like to think. For every bit of good in a person there is also darkness, a balancing act the soul maintains. Sometimes the balance is lost and too often one will turn to the darker parts of their soul and other times the opposite is true. Nonetheless, each is capable of both good and evil no matter how saintly or demonic they may seem.

Is there a heaven? A place of eternal peace and love and happiness; pearly gates, trumpeting angels, an eternity of peace and happiness?
Is there a hell? A place of eternal torment and anguish; a horned Devil and the screeching cries of demons?
In a way humans almost have it right. There are two separate spheres in the spirit plane, but good and evil are such simple words to describe the spheres in existence.
The sphere most would refer to as heaven does not exist above the earth but on a separate plane of existence that humans have long since forgotten. Here there are no pearly gates or trumpeting angels, only a soft ripple in time and space to show you’ve arrived. It seems this entire plane is nothing but a rolling field spotted with delicate lacey flowers none on the earth plane have seen in eons. In the distance though there are some squat white buildings.
Those buildings are where the warriors are trained. Arch angels called Avengers and assassins spend centuries learning to control the darker side of their souls so they don’t fall to their dark brothers in the never ending war.
In another plane, away from the gently rolling field and its small flowers, there are deep canyons and soaring rock faces that catch the last glimmering rays of sunlight and cast the sandy ground a deep blue and crimson before the light extinguishes. Here there are no buildings only carefully sculpted caves that, to the untrained eye, are nothing more than shadows in the mountains.
Past the mouth of these caves though the floor is tiled with marble of the finest quality, the walls are filigreed with gold and silver. Extensive artwork adorns ceiling. In the belly of these mountains is where the Fallen Ones play. Their jobs are easy; it doesn’t take much to get humans to listen to that darker, more pleasurable side of themselves.
But Dark and Light are terms no different than good and evil. What of the gray area in between? Somewhere in that heavenly plane an angel, long since done with his training, is flying to a briefing. He has been chosen for an assignment of the utmost secrecy and importance.
A dark opposite of that angel is in the earth plane wrecking havoc on the humans with his two demonic familiars.
One young man gently presses the large silver cross around his neck against his heart and silently prays for something to go right in his life. But for something to go right, things must go horribly wrong first.
A/N: Nobody freak out, I just combined some of the chapters and added a few details, chapter five is the newest update ^_^
