Everlasting Love(Pt1)
Amber threw more of her clothes into her suitcase, spinning around to get the rest from her drawers. Once her clothes were packed, she grabbed one of the boxes she had picked up and started tossing her personal things inside. Going into the living room, she took the photos of Thomas and his family, Alex and Sean and her adopted brother Philip, putting those with the other stuff she had already gathered.
"Amber please don’t leave." The male voice behind her pleaded. "Lets try and work this out."
Amber dropped the box on the floor by the front door, causing the glass to break in some of the pictures. "What is there to work out Jeremy?"
"I’m sorry I didn’t mean..."
"Your sorry!" Amber screamed at him. "Four years Jeremy....four fucking years we were together and you just go and throw it away in one night."
"It was more than one night."
"Really and who was the lucky woman?"
"Mark."
"Funny name for a woman." Amber shot back.
"He’s not a woman."
"What is it with men these days? They all want to fuck each other. And I thought I knew you Jeremy, guess I was wrong."
"This just recently happened. I was going to..."
"How long?"
"Almost a year."
"I don’t see how you can justify that as recently."
"I broke it off with him. I realized that I was putting our relationship in jeopardy by continuing with Mark?"
"Little late for that, don’t you think?"
"Amber I’m sorry."
"Too late for that too."
"What can I say to make it up to you?"
"Nothing...not a thing. You lied to me, betrayed me, kept something from me that you should have told me months ago, now it’s to late."
"Please...Amber, I love you."
"Jeremy, love is built on trust. My trust in you was shattered today."
"I’m sorry."
"That’s not going to fix anything. How many more times are you going to say that? Well I’m sorry too, you obviously didn’t love me enough."
"I do Amber, please believe me. I never meant to hurt you this way."
"Not as much as my father will hurt you when he finds out what you’ve done."
Jeremy looked frightened at the mention of her father. "Your not going to tell him are you?"
"I won’t have too, he’ll know something is wrong."
Jeremy ran his fingers through his hair. Joe Elliott, her father. Jeremy knew what he was, and that other part of Joe scared him. He knew what would happen to him if he ever hurt Amber and now he has done just that. "Amber please...your father will kill me if he knows."
"That’s your problem not mine." Amber said coldly. Picking up the box, she opened the front door and headed toward her car. Thirty minutes later she had her stuff packed tightly inside. Going back inside to make sure she had everything, she noticed Jeremy still sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the wall.
"Jeremy..." she started softly. "What you did to me was wrong and I’ll never forgive you for that. But I won’t go down to your level. I’ll make sure my father doesn’t track you down and kill you. Goodbye Jeremy." With that Amber left the house she had shared with him for the past four years. Pushed away all the love and fun times they had together. If she never saw Jeremy Malone again in her life, it would be too soon.

Amber drove through the Irish countryside towards her father’s house. The trip would take her five hours to drive, putting her on his doorstep well after midnight. He’ll bombard her with questions of why she was there and what had happened between her and Jeremy. The last time that Joe had seen her; they were happy together, and now just two short months later she was heading toward his house and his comforting arms.
Amber swiped away the tears that ran down her cheeks. ‘I can’t tell him, not yet. He’ll know something is wrong, but I have to find a way to keep him from finding out to soon. Before I’m ready to say anything. How am I going to tell my son and grandson.’
"Damn you Jeremy." Amber yelled, hitting the steering wheel with her fist. She pulled over to the side of the road and slumped in the seat, sobs racking her body.

Sav banged the door open to Evelyn and Joe’s room. Joe was stumbling from the bathroom after taking a shower.
"You felt it too?" Sav asked him.
"How....how did you? Sav you haven’t taken blood from Amber in..."
"A very long time, but I felt the disturbance in that weak bond."
"It felt more like despair to me."
"Your bond is stronger with her. What else do you feel?"
"Um...she’s getting closer, upset, she’s not hurt...I don’t feel any pain like with an injury and um...som...something else...I can’t..."
Sav grabbed Joe by the arms, their eyes met and held.
"Reach out harder Joe, what something?"
Joe’s eyes darted back and forth between Sav’s. "I...I don’t know."
"How far is Amber?"
"Close and um...." Joe pulled away from him and ran from the room. Sav followed on his heels. Joe threw open the front door as the car’s headlights swept across the lawn.
"She was closer than you thought." Sav said stopping right behind him.
Joe rushed over to the car just as Amber opened the door and got out.
"Hi Daddy." Amber plastered on a smile.
"What’s wrong? Why are you here? Are you ok? I can feel something in..." his last words come out muffled as Amber covered his mouth with her hand.
"Everything is fine....now that I’m here." Amber hugged her father tightly.
"Where is...?"
"I left him."
"Why?"
"He wanted Mark more than me." Amber lied.
"That sonofabitch." Joe grumbled. "I’ll kill him fo......"
"No, Daddy it’s all right. We weren’t getting along that great anyway." Amber grabbed his arm to keep him from flying away. "You can’t go around killing every man that I break up with."
"But..."
"No but’s. I’m a grown woman and I make my own mistakes, ones that you cannot fix."
"I know, but I just hate to see you get hurt."
Amber kissed his cheek. "I’ll be fine, don’t worry about it."
Joe tried to look in her eyes for answers that may be there.
"Are you sure? Because I felt something else from you."
"I’m sure. Now help me with my stuff."
"You’re staying here?" This came from Sav, who had stayed in the background, listening to them talking.
"Yes. Where else would I go?"
"No where I guess." Sav answered and disappeared in the shadows.
Amber asked pulling a box from the car,
"What’s up with him?"
"He’s been a bit moody lately." Joe said, watching Sav flop down in the grass to stare up at the stars.
"Oh, did you two have another fight?"
"No. It’s been great between us. He gets this way sometimes." Joe said following her into the house.
They took Amber’s belongs to her old room and came back for more. Amber dropped the last bag on the floor and fell on the bed. The day’s events and the drive crawling into her weary body.
Joe sat on the bed next to her. "Want to talk about it?"
"Not tonight Dad, I’m really tired. It’s been a long day and a longer drive."
"Ok, whenever you ready, I’ll listen and try not to lose my temper."
Amber sat up and kissed his cheek. "Thanks."

Joe tucked a bottle of blood wine under his arm, had second thoughts about the glasses. ‘No point in getting them dirty.’ He strolled outside to find Sav in the same place. Joe stood above him, gazing at his lean body, the way he laid on the grass, arms under his head and feet crossed at the ankles. Sav's shirt was held together with one lower button and hung open to reveal his chest. Joe’s eyes traveled downward to his muscular bare legs.
Taking a deep breath to calm his rising desire, Joe sat the bottle down on the grass and stretched out beside him. Joe leaned over and brushed his lips across his. Settling next to him, he used Sav’s shoulder as a pillow.
Sav brought his arm down to lie across Joe’s chest just below his chin.
"It’s quiet tonight." Joe murmured.
Sav followed the shooting star as it zipped across the backdrop of the midnight blue sky. Stars twinkled high above them as in greeting to the creatures that share the night far below them.
"You still harbor feelings for her?" Joe asked breaking the silence again.
"Who?"
"Amber."
Sav tightened his arm around Joe, turning his head to rest his cheek on his soft hair. "Have you ever wondered what our lives would have been like, if things had turned out differently?"
Sav’s avoidance of answering his question didn’t go unnoticed by Joe. "It would have been a lot quieter, not as much drama. Maybe toured longer than we did. We would look and feel older."
"I miss touring, playing for the fans. The energy flowing from them as we played on stage, the way it felt after the shows."
"So do I. Maybe...maybe one day we can do it again."
"Anything is possible." Sav whispered.
Joe thought over his next words carefully before he spoke them. "If it were different. Would you have told me of your feelings, pursued me the way you did, to get where we are now?"
"I don’t know, I may have. It’s really hard to tell. I had buried those feelings for you so deep....I’d like to think that one day I would have told you."
Joe twisted in his arm and propped himself up on his elbow. Hooking his finger under Sav’s chin, Joe turned his head so they were staring into each other’s eyes. "We’ve been together a long time. I’m glad you did, even if it took becoming a....vampire to bring them out. I couldn’t imagine what it would have been like without you in my life."
Sav raised his head and kissed him, a brief taste of the man that was burned in his soul, never to be removed. "Neither could I." Sav whispered as he pulled away.
Joe settled back into his arms. "I love times like this. The quiet."
Sav chuckled and rolled over on top of him. "Want to go upstairs and make some noise?"
"What kind of noise do you have in mind?" Joe’s hands roamed down Sav’s back to his ass, grinding his hips against his. "Noise of this nature?"
"Oh yeah." Sav kissed him, then jumped to his feet. Reaching down for Joe’s hand to pull him up. Together they walked inside the house, closing the door on their quiet little world.
