Angel's Shock

The following is a work of total fiction. I

have never met Darren or Daniel and like everyone else apart from them and their partners I do not know their true sexual preferences. I do not mean any disrespect or harm to either of them.

Later Daniel came to visit. Darren really didn't want anyone seeing him, but Daniel had a key he couldn't stop him from coming into the house. When he saw the bruises on Darren's face and the cut on his lip, he was horrified.

"Darren, what the fuck happened?"

"I don't want to talk about it Dan, leave me alone!"

"I will do no such thing! What happened? Was it Ray?  Did Angel's dad do this to you?"

"I deserved it! He only did what any dad would do in this situation."

"So she told him what happened? After she agreed she wouldn't?"

"No, she didn't tell him anything. That's why he came to see me to find out what had happened."

"And you told him? I don’t need to ask how he took it! Is he coming after me next?"

"No, I didn't tell him the whole story, only that Angel found me with someone else. He obviously assumed I meant a woman and I went along with it. None of us wants the full truth to come out, do we?"

"I'd rather it didn't and I'm sure Angel doesn't want anyone to know either. If this is what he does when he thinks Angel caught you with another woman he might have killed you if you had've told him the whole truth!  Come here baby, you look like you need a hug."

Darren tried to hold back but Daniel gently pulled him into his arms for a hug. As he did so Darren flinched and let out a yelp. Daniel released his hold, stepped back and lifted Darren's t-shirt. He saw the bruises that were forming on Darren's body.  They looked really painful.

"God, Dar. He really gave you a bashing didn't he? Are you going to press charges against him? He may be Angel’s dad but you can't just let him get away with this!"

"I can and I am. It's no more than I deserve. I broke his daughter's heart; I'm lucky he didn't do anything worse. He was really angry, and I don't blame him."

"So you didn't even put up a fight, you just let him bash you?"

"I had to. I thought it might make me feel a bit better if I was punished for what I did to Angel.  It didn't, I still feel like shit!  Oh Danny what have I done?"

He started crying and Daniel comforted him again, taking care not to put any pressure on Darren's injuries.

"Darren, you don't think he could have broken anything do you?  Cracked your ribs or your jaw? It all looks really painful; maybe we should get you to the hospital for x-rays, just to be sure."

"No, I'm ok. It's just bruising, I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, don't fuss! Look, I know you mean well babe, but I don't deserve your sympathy."

"Yes you do! You're not the only guilty one here, remember? I started it; I'm more guilty than you are!"

"No you're not, you were a free agent. You didn't cheat on your fiancée! I did."

"Well nevenever likely to do that am I? You're the closest I'm going to get to a fiancée and I never intend to cheat on you."

"I never intended to cheat on Angel, but it happened."

"Only because I came on to you, you would never have made the first move. Ifn>If I hadn't have kissed you that night none of this would have happened. I am just as guilty as you are, make no mistake about that. Do you want me to stay with you tonight?"

“I’d appreciate it if you don’t mind; I’d rather not be alone. I’m not going to be in the mood for anything though.”

“Darren that’s not why I suggested staying! Of course you’re not going to be in the mood apart from anything else it’s obvious you’re in a lot of pain. I just want to be with you to make sure you’re ok.”

So Daniel stayed the night with Darren.
