10.One way ticket to hell.

I stand inside the airport, one ticket in hand.
A one way ticket as Ryan keeps repeating to me.
My breathing is shaking, and I keep holding on to Ryan. I`m scared to let go. I`m scared to go to a new place with new people. I`m scared that the distance might be too much for us. Most of all, i`m scared of losing the one thing i`ve got: George Ryan Ross.
"I love you." I said through the tears escaping my eyes, with my head buried in his shoulder.
"I`ll come visit next month, I promise. I`m already saving for a ticket."
I smiled at that, but it only made it hurt worse.
"God, I don't know what i`m going to do without you."
"You`ll be fine."
"I got an internship at a recording company, I might drop a name." I winked.
"You`d better."
I laughed as he picked me up and spun me around the airport, causing quite a few glares and looks from other people, but I didn't care. He didn't care. We didn't care.
Now boarding flight 107 to Chicago.
"That's me." I said, as he put me down, the smile falling off both of our faces.
"Call me as soon as you arrive and tell me everything." He said, kissing me as hard as possible.
"I love you."
"I love you, too. Always."
I handed the woman my ticket and stood infront of the entrance for a moment, watching Ryan walk away, fighting back tear against tear.
"I love you George Ryan Ross." I whispered to myself, then took my seat on the airplane.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chicago is cold.
And when I say cold, I mean really cold. Like, freeze your fingers off in a second cold.
So far everyone seems nice. I found my apartment pretty easily, and when I got lost anyone I asked was more than happy to help.
It's nothing like Vegas.
Already I missed Ryan. It was a horrible feeling and wouldn't go away.
I sat down my things and took out my cell phone the moment I walked in my door, dialing his number.
"Hello." He answered.
"Hey, Ryan."
"I miss you so much already." I could hear it in his voice he'd been crying.
"I know, I do too, I need a hug right about now."
"I need a fuc-"
"Don't talk about fucking my sister!" I heard Brendon yell in the background, then some shuffling, and finally Ryan had the phone back.
"Well, anyways, you know what I mean, and you can obviously tell i`m at your house right now. Your mom is letting me sleep in your room."
"Why?"I asked, sitting down at one of the little stools in front of the kitchen.
"It reminds me of you."
"Aw, you're so cute, well listen, I need to get some sleep, call me tomorrow."
"Okay, I love you."
"I love you too, bye."
"Bye."
I closed my phone and sat it down beside me on the counter. Even this apartment looked cold. Maybe it was the white paint, or maybe it was missing Ryan. Who knows.
Three weeks passed by and i`d only talked to Ryan twice since then. Things had gotten busy with their band, and my internship at Decaydance, so it was hard for both of us to find time to talk. The money he was saving for the ticket had been used for band equipment, so I had no idea when i`d be seeing him next. I was beginning to feel like we were growing apart, and i`m guessing he was, too.
I picked up the sheet of papers Satan Pete handed me to file and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Pete, this is your job."
"So? You're my personal assistant and i`m famous, do the math."
I love his little sarcastic jokes.
I might be considering quitting college and working full time as his PA, we're both thinking about it. But until he comes up with a reasonable paycheck, it'snot happeningon my part.
And yes, i`d gotten over the shock of working for 'Ohmygodthatguyfromfalloutboy'
Yeah, he's not that amazing.
"Okay, Peter, i`ll do this if you give me some gum."
"Why should I give you gum?I don't have to kiss you."
"Because it's a bargain."
"I`ll do it if you kiss me."
"I`m not kissing you! You're my boss!"
"Fine, no gum."
"Ugh, whatever."
I grabbed his face and pulled him to me, pressing his lips to mine for no more than five seconds.
"There, was that so hard?" He asked, handing me the gum.
"Yes it was, you're disgusting."
"There went my self confidence."
"Pete, your ego is big enough for ten people."
"That's not all that's big."
"We both, and half of the world with internet access, all know that is a lie."I said, laughing.
"Okay, you're fired."
"You can't fire me."
"You're right, now get to work."
Almost everyday was like this. Not much working and a bunch of joking around. Needless to say I love my job.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was startled that night to see my phone ringing and Ryan calling.
"Hello." I said.
"Hey Missa."
"I haven't talked to you in awhi-"
"Listen, we need to talk."
"About what?"
"Us."
Oh, god, that's the last thing a girl ever wants to hear.
