Ch 10
Kelly slipped her phone into her pocket as she walked throughout the downstairs in search of her brother and best friend. “Guys? Hey! Where are you?” Carrie had just called and asked if she wanted to meet up during the blonde’s break from the studio. She hoped to find Ashley before she found Jason, because she didn’t doubt that Jason would want to tag along on the outing. He had taken every opportunity to talk with Carrie at the barbecue the day before. Kelly thought Jason had spent more time with Carrie than she had. “Ashley? Makeup!”
Ashley rolled her eyes and tapped Kelly with the mail in her hands. “Behind you, nerd.” She smirked as Kelly spun around to face her. "I was out getting the mail. Why are you yelling about makeup? Did you have a nightmare about it again or something?” Ashley walked towards the dining room and casually tossed the mail on the table. She didn’t know why she bothered to check the mail; they didn’t get anything that was actually for any of them. “Still waiting, Clarkson.”
Kelly was debating whether she wanted to say something about the nightmare comment, but she decided to let it go for now. “Carrie wants to meet up for coffee. Do you want to come with me?” Her friend had been politely nice during the cookout; Ashley had even offered to go to the store when she had realized that she had forgotten to buy something barbecue-y for Carrie and herself. Kelly thought it would be good if Ashley and Carrie spent some more time together.
Ashley didn’t want to go out, though she did consider the offer since Kelly had asked. She just wanted to spend some time around the house after being surrounded by people at the cookout. “I don’t think so, Kel.” Ashley gave Kelly a hug because of her friend’s disappointed expression. “It’s not because of Carrie. If I still disliked her, I would go with you. I just want to hang here.”
Kelly was glad to hear Ashley’s reason because as much as she would have preferred to have Ashley come with her instead of Jason, she was even happier to go meet Carrie on her own. “Okay. Tell Jase where I went then ‘cuz I have to hurry, you know how studio breaks are.” Kelly smiled and hugged Ashley again before she left.
Ashley might have worried about Kelly’s eagerness if her friend hadn’t talked about wanting to throw another party soon. She decided to forget about Kelly’s friendship with Carrie and go find Jason. It would be nice to get to tease him about how she knew where Kelly was at and that he didn’t know. While she might have been glad that Jason had picked Kelly over her while they had fought, it didn’t mean that she couldn’t get back at him for leaving her out of the loop. “Hey Jason, guess what!”
Jason came out of his bedroom this time since it was Ashley yelling for him. He hadn’t been afraid exactly when Kelly had been shouting for him, he just thought that Kelly was yelling to complain about how much attention he had paid to Carrie. It wasn’t his fault that he wanted to hang out with Carrie and make sure she was good enough for his sister. “What Ash?” Jason walked to the stairs when he didn’t see Ashley around anywhere upstairs.
Ashley grinned when she saw Jason at the top of the stairs. “Kelly left. It’s just you and me. Want to play video games?” She bit the inside of her cheek so that she didn’t laugh at Jason’s confused expression.
Jason started down the stairs when Ashley continued to stare at him without explaining her words. “What do you mean she left? We don’t have anything going on this week.”
Ashley waited until Jason was about to step off the very last step, and then she put her hands firmly on both of his shoulders to keep him from reaching the first floor. “I know something you don’t know.” Ashley patted him a couple times and then turned around and walked away. “How’s it feel, tough guy?”
Jason wordlessly followed Ashley as she walked to the living. He wanted to know why Ashley didn’t just tell him where Kelly was, but he got that she was getting him back for when he had basically frozen her out. “I bet I know where she is.” He could guess.
"Oh, yeah?” Ashley turned around and smiled at Jason. He could probably guess whom Kelly was meeting, but he didn’t know why and for how long. She could hold that over him and get him to go shopping probably. Not that she wanted to go shopping with Jason.
Jason crossed his arms over his chest and nodded once. “She’s with Carrie.” He grinned when Ashley’s smile faltered a little. “And I’m guessing since it’s around lunch time, they’re meeting up somewhere during Carrie’s break. How am I doing?”
Ashley resumed her course and ignored how much his smirk aggravated her at the moment. “Yeah, well, she told me because she didn’t want you coming along.”
Jason chuckled and slowly followed Ashley as she muttered under her breath. “So? You’re here, what’s that say about the situation?” He laughed when Ashley tried to win their pretend fight by saying that Kelly had invited her. “Yeah, because she thinks you hate Carrie. Otherwise she wouldn’t have. She knows I like Carrie, so she doesn’t have to ask me to come out with them.”
Ashley groaned and sat down in a chair so that Jason couldn’t come over and try to sit with her. “You’re so annoying sometimes, you know that? You couldn’t just let me have this one thing, could you? See if I ever help you get ready for a date again.” At Jason’s surprised and slightly hurt look, Ashley felt a little better. “I didn’t mean that. Get over here.”
Jason quickly went over to Ashley and ruffled her hair before he sat down on the couch. “You said something about video games? What do you feel like losing at today?” He held in his laughter as Ashley tried to claim that she was going to win because Kelly wasn’t around to play. “Sure, you keep telling yourself that.”

Kelly smiled as she entered the coffee shop and saw Carrie already in line. She joined the blonde and tapped Carrie’s shoulder. “Hey.”
Carrie turned around and gave Kelly a brief hug since the man in front of her had finished his order and moved out of the way to wait for his drink. “Hey yourself. What do you want?”
Kelly playfully pushed Carrie forward towards the cashier and followed. “This is a coffee shop, so… coffee?” She smiled when Carrie pretended to glare at her and then told her to order. Kelly told the coffee shop worker her drink order, and then she quietly listened as Carrie ordered. She tried to pay when the barista told them their total, but Carrie wouldn’t let her. Kelly pouted as they walked out of the way to wait for their drinks. “Do you want a cupcake or something? This is supposed to be your lunch break, not a really long water break.”
Carrie laughed at Kelly’s joke, although she stopped before Kelly could try to offer to take her somewhere to eat, or just go back in line and get her something. “I already ate. Matt called lunch in, and I called you while I was eating. But thanks for looking out for me.” Carrie fiddled with her water bottle as they waited for Kelly’s coffee. She had something that she wanted to ask Kelly. She just didn’t want to ask it within hearing range of the coffee shop workers since she and Matt saw them daily during the week. “How’s your day been so far?”
Kelly shrugged as she watched the man that had ordered before them get his drink. “Haven’t really done much of anything, that’s what so fun about having time off.” She chuckled when Carrie agreed. She felt kind of awkward that they were waiting for her drink since Carrie had chosen bottled water. “Why don’t you go get us a table while I wait?” Kelly was sure that Carrie would take the opportunity to choose where they sat. She liked to sit apart from people when she was out on a break from the studio, so she didn’t see why Carrie wouldn’t do the same.
“Naw, I’m fine here. Besides,” Carrie grinned when Kelly looked up at her curiously. “I think your brother wouldn’t like it if I left you alone up here.” She laughed when Kelly scoffed and lightly hit her arm. Her talks with Jason at the barbecue had let her see that Jason was protective of Kelly, so she thought he wouldn’t like that Kelly was out on her own. “Matt’s the same way, you know. So really I’m saving you from getting your butt kicked by Matt, too.”
Kelly had to laugh at the image. From the two times she had been around Carrie’s best friend, Matt had been nice to her. She really couldn’t see him getting angry with anyone. “I thought he would be here actually. Maybe he just trusts me not to get you in trouble.” The barista slid her drink across the counter to her, so Kelly gratefully picked up the drink and grabbed Carrie’s arm.
“What is this?” Carrie cleared her throat so that she didn’t laugh at Kelly’s behavior as they walked towards a table in the back. “Are you playing bodyguard now?” She laughed loudly when Kelly nodded. The idea of the shorter girl trying to protect her from one of the coffee shop workers was hilarious. “What are you going to do, takeout someone’s knees? You’ll never see them coming from down there.” Carrie playfully looked down at Kelly and ignored the other girl’s pout.
Kelly waited until they were both sitting down at the table Carrie had led them to, and then she spoke. “At least I wasn’t the shortest girl on a softball team.” Kelly laughed at Carrie’s shocked expression. “I would do better than kick someone in the knees. I’m totally an ankle bitter.” She just smiled as Carrie laughed at her claim. Kelly sipped her coffee while Carrie slowly quit laughing and opened up the water. She had been right; Carrie had taken them to the table farthest away from the other customers. “If you’re gonna laugh at my methods, you should have brought Matt.”
Carrie quickly swallowed her mouthful of water before she choked on it or spit it out because of Kelly’s remark. “Are you trying to make me choke? The point is that I, not, hurt my throat while I’m in the studio.” She grinned when Kelly had the sense to look remorseful. “He wanted to come along, but I asked him to stay at the studio. I kinda need some time away from him and Tommy.”
Kelly didn’t know what to think of Carrie’s explanation. “Yeah?” She didn’t want to push Carrie to talk if there was something wrong between Matt and Carrie, or if there wasn’t anything wrong at all and Carrie just wanted to spend some time with her. “I didn’t tell Jason I was meeting you. I thought that he would totally tag along. I did ask Ashley though, and she said she just wanted to stay at the house. She wants some time to herself after having everyone over for the barbecue.”
Carrie wanted to laugh that Kelly hadn’t invited Jason, though she didn’t because she understood why Ashley would want alone time. If she weren’t so wary of Ashley, Carrie would have said that she agreed with the other girl. “Matt likes you; he seemed disappointed that I didn’t want him with me, but... He’s been trying to set me up with a friend of ours. I just didn’t want him bringing it up again.” Carrie sipped her water and waited for Kelly’s reaction. She wanted to talk about the situation with Kelly, but she wouldn’t make Kelly if her friend felt uncomfortable.
Kelly wasn’t exactly sure what Carrie wanted her to say. The blonde was looking at her though, so Kelly knew she had to say something. “I don’t think I’d want Matt around either if he kept trying to set me up with a guy.” Kelly chuckled as Carried laughed at her joke, although she wasn’t positive that her joke was enough of a response to Carrie’s question. She liked being friends with Carrie, and she had kind of implied that Carrie could talk to her about guys when she had joked with the other girl. “Seriously though? I don’t blame you for not wanting your best friend on you about dating. Ashley kind of does the same thing to me, so I get it.”
Carrie was relieved that Kelly was okay with the conversation. She would have talked about something else if Kelly didn’t want to talk about guys, or her dating guys. “I knew you would.” Carrie smiled and capped her water before she leaned forward a little and spoke in a quieter tone so that the rest of the customers couldn’t overhear their conversation. “The guy is nice. I’ve even hung out with him a couple times. Matt just doesn’t get that I don’t want to date right now, and neither does Tommy. Tommy said that I should give it a shot, and normally I would take his advice, but I just don’t see this guy in a romantic way. You get why I don’t want to go, right?”
Kelly nodded her head to give herself some time to take in all the details Carrie had given her. She wasn’t thrilled to talk about whether Carrie wanted to date a guy or not, but like she had told Ashley so many times, it wasn’t like she was in love with Carrie. Just because she had a crush on Carrie didn’t mean that she couldn’t listen and give Carrie advice. “Well, if you don’t like this guy, then yeah, you really shouldn’t go out with him. Tommy and Matt want what’s best for you, but if you don’t like the guy, then yeah, don’t go out with him.” Kelly looked down at her coffee and she thought about the advice she had given Carrie, she thought it had been pretty unbiased.
Carrie smiled and relaxed in her chair now that she knew Kelly agreed with her. “See? I knew you would get it. I didn’t really want to talk about this with my other girl friends, because they’re still so…” Carrie couldn’t think of the right words that would describe her friends. “And my sisters really want to see me find someone and settle down, so they would tell me to go out with Sean because we get along as friends. None of them get that I’m not looking. I’m happy hanging out with my friends and recording. I mean I’ve been touring for a year, is it so wrong to want a little time on my own?” Carrie knew Kelly would get the sentiment behind her words. As much as their friends and family tried, only people like them would get how hard it was sometimes.
“It’s not wrong at all.” Kelly had to smile at how Carrie had systematically given a reason for why the people in the blonde’s life didn’t understand. Or Kelly guessed it could have been that Carrie hadn’t really had anyone to vent to that would understand that there wasn’t any animosity in Carrie’s words, just frustration that the others around Carrie didn’t get why dating wouldn’t be a priority when there was time off in Carrie’s schedule. “You’ve missed your friends and family. Now is the time that you have to see them since you’re recording, and it’s time for you to just be away from all the touring and scheduling hassles as much as you can be. I mean, I get how they would think it would be a good time to start a relationship since you’re not in a different city each night, but yeah,” Kelly sipped her coffee and then smiled at Carrie. “I get it. Especially with as much as you’ve written for this album. You said it’s new to you. And… I mean well, Ashley might have mentioned how much attention your last few real relationships got. So yeah, I wouldn’t be looking to start that up again either for a guy that you’re not that into.”
Carrie was happy that Kelly had mentioned the fact that she had written more than previously on her albums; Matt and Tommy hadn’t thought that it was a good enough reason for her not to date Sean. “I’ve given up on the press not printing stuff about me and whoever I date, or boys that are friends.” Carrie chuckled as she thought of the time when people had “reported” that Matt was her boyfriend, which still made her laugh. “But the music, yes. I mean I helped write so much of these new songs, I just want to give like a hundred and ten percent. Not worry about getting out of the studio on time so I can make a date with some guy that I probably won’t be with six months from now.” Carrie wanted to continue to talk, but she thought that she should avoid talk of the press because of Kelly. Obviously, Kelly wouldn’t want the press to find out about the girls the pop singer dated, so any discussion of that angle of dating would be boring and maybe hurtful.
Kelly took in a slow breath of air at Carrie’s last words; the statement made her think of the comments Carrie had made about the movie they had watched together. Carrie didn’t sound jaded really, the other girl seemed to be cautious, and Kelly couldn’t really blame Carrie. The words made Kelly feel uncomfortable though since Carrie was younger than she was. “I can see how your sisters would worry when you say stuff like a guy probably not lasting more than six months.” Kelly looked back and forth between her cup and Carrie’s face as she thought about how she wanted to phrase her next words. “I made fun of the way you think things out sometimes, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think you have to be aware of what you want from someone and yourself before you can date. Your sisters probably hear 'oh no, Carrie’s afraid of getting her heart broken publicly because of her job’.” Kelly felt a little silly for using air quotes, but she wanted to get her point across. “But really, all you’re doing is making sure you’re happy.”
Carrie wanted to pull out her phone and have Kelly talk to her sisters; they so needed to hear what Kelly had just said. She had known that Kelly would understand because they had the same career; it was why she had wanted to be friends with Kelly in the first place. Taylor and Kellie understood how she felt to a certain extent, but they also still went out and flirted with guys, whereas she would be happy spending a night at home. Carrie left her phone in her jeans and sipped her water. “Sean is good for hanging out with, maybe getting him to paint whichever damn room I choose to be my music room.” Carrie smirked at the thought. "But I can do that myself, so I’m just going to tell Matt to back off if he mentions Sean to me again.”
Kelly laughed at the joke about painting; it was a nice change from their semi-serious discussion about dating. "It sounds like you’re set, at least about the dating thing anyway. I don’t know what to tell you about the room thing.” Kelly couldn’t help but chuckle again at the idea of Carrie cursing about not being able to choose a room. “By the time you finally do choose, you’ll probably have to tour again.” She was happy to have reassured Carrie about turning down a date Matt had set up, but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t tease the other girl.
Carrie shook her head at Kelly’s joke, and then she checked the time on her watch. She didn’t want to be late getting back to the studio; although there was still time for her to hang out with Kelly before she had to leave. “I would try to defend myself, but you wouldn’t believe how long it took me to decorate my house after I first bought it.” Carrie chuckled as Kelly laughed and agreed. It was so nice to have a chance to hang out with Kelly, who got her and was more her age.
Kelly had seen Carrie check the time, and that made her realize that she didn’t know when the other girl had to go back to the studio. “Hey, if you need to go, I understand. I knew that we wouldn’t be able to hang out for long when I said I’d meet you.” Kelly didn’t think that they had talked for very long, but Carrie had already been on break when the blonde had called her.
Carrie placed her water on the table and straightened up in her chair. “No, I’m fine. I still have like ten minutes before I have to. The studio is close by, so it’s no big deal. Honestly, I’d like to spend some more time with you. The song we’re working on is…” Carrie paused as she thought of the right words to describe the song. “It’s not sad exactly, it’s just about something that is kinda personal, so I’m happy to not think about it for a while, if that makes sense?”
Kelly was confused about the song because of Carrie’s vague explanation. She also thought it sucked that she couldn't even make fun of Carrie's bad description since she wouldn't want anyone to make fun of her songs. “Yeah. Anything that you helped with is going to be either really fun, or really hit home with you, so I’m sure whatever it’s about, it’s going to be great.” Kelly wasn’t even sure what she had been trying to say, so she didn’t bother to try again.
“Do you want to come back to the studio with me so you can hear it?” The thought hadn’t occurred to Carrie when she had first called Kelly, but it would be nice to have the other girl in the studio. “You just have to promise not to laugh if you think it’s really corny. If you don’t have other stuff that you have to do, of course.” Carrie bit her lip and waited for Kelly to say yes or no. She knew she shouldn’t be nervous, but it was one thing if Kelly said encouraging things because they were friends. It would be a completely different matter to hear whatever Kelly would say after actually hearing the material since she considered Kelly better at song writing than her.
Kelly was surprised by the invite, though she wanted to immediately say yes. The only thing that stopped her from speaking right away was her own lack of understanding about the premise of the song. She liked to have her songs finished before she let people who weren’t involved with the process hear anything. She didn't want to be stuck with nothing to say if she still didn't know what the song was about when Carrie asked her opinion. “Uh, if you don’t mind me being there, then yeah. I’m kinda curious about what the song is about.” Kelly knew she could ask Carrie to explain more about the song. She should probably say no just because it would drive her crazy if she didn’t get to hear the whole song or the completed version.
Carrie hopped up out of her seat and grabbed her water bottle as she grinned. She really hadn’t thought that Kelly would want to spend a day off in the studio, so she was excited. She wouldn’t even care if Kelly said the song sounded like it was written by a fifth grader. “You don’t have to stay for long if you don’t want. And Matt’s there, so if you need anything, tell him or me.” Carrie waited somewhat impatiently while Kelly laughed and stood up to join her. “You can leave whenever you want, even if I’m recording. I won’t be mad.”
Kelly chuckled as Carrie led her out of the coffee shop. She wanted to make a joke, but Carrie was still talking about how it would be fine if she just left or completely trashed the song. She didn’t understand how Carrie could be so eager to let her listen to unfinished material, but it wasn’t like it was the first thing that had confused her about the blonde.
****
Carrie lightly smirked as she pretended to concentrate on the road. Kelly had been asking her where they were going ever since they had left the other girl’s house. She wanted to see how long Kelly could hold out or how long it took Kelly to guess their destination. So far, Kelly had made it ten minutes without correctly guessing or threatening her.
Kelly sighed and crossed her arms over her chest when Carrie remained silent. She had tried to guess where Carrie was taking her, but she was failing big time. When Kelly noticed that they were getting closer to the city, she turned in her seat and looked at Carrie. “Are we going to a bar? You know you could have just told me that ten minutes ago and we could have talked about something instead of you trying not to snicker while I get frustrated with guessing.”
Carrie cleared her throat in an attempt to keep from snickering, and then she glanced at Kelly. “We’re not going to a bar. I learned my lesson the last time you wanted to drink.” Carrie struggled with her composure as Kelly pouted. Carrie really thought Kelly would have figured it out by now, but she decided not to keep Kelly in suspense any longer. Besides, they were going to be at their destination really soon. “I’m taking you to a hockey game.”
Kelly blinked a few times as she repeated the words to herself to make sure she had heard right, and then she looked at Carrie to see if it was another joke. “We’re not going to a hockey game are we? You’re telling me that the one night you decide to go out, and you’re taking me to a hockey game?” Kelly shut her mouth when Carrie grinned and nodded. She would have continued to try to get Carrie to tell her the truth, but somehow she didn’t think that Carrie was lying.
Carrie didn’t know what to make of Kelly’s silence; it kind of unsettled her. “I just wanted to do something nice for you, as a thank you for coming to the studio the other day. I’m sure you would have been better off at home, but it was really nice of you to listen to the song and tell me what you thought about it.” Carrie glanced at Kelly again, although she laughed when she saw that Kelly was looking around the car. “I wondered how long it would take you to do that. I thought the minute you saw the jackets you’d realize where we are going.”
Kelly hadn’t really thought to look in the backseats for coats; she had thought they were going to Carrie’s since the other girl didn’t really go out after recording. “And I didn’t think that you were kidnapping me, so we’re even.” Kelly bit her lip so that she didn’t laugh. She didn’t want Carrie to know that she was fine with going to the hockey game, even more so because of Carrie’s reasoning. However, Carrie had let her suffer for ten minutes.
Carrie chuckled, but kept her attention on the road since there was a lot of traffic now that they’d entered downtown Nashville. “It’s not kidnapping if you willingly get in the car.” When Kelly didn’t make a quip back at her, Carrie briefly wondered if maybe she had really upset Kelly by not telling the other girl where they were going. “I thought you’d like a surprise, and I made sure that it was a live game. Damn, I knew I should have asked-”
“Whoa, now.” Kelly uncrossed her arms and reached out to put a hand on Carrie’s arm. “Don’t get upset. I’m just teasing you. As long as none of the players come through the glass and land on me, I’m cool with a hockey game.” Kelly didn’t want to upset Carrie, no matter how much she wanted to get back at the blonde. She looked out her window when Carrie smiled at her reassurance. “You so better have brought some warm coats though, that’s all I’m saying.”
Carrie let herself grin again now that she knew Kelly wasn’t upset with her. “Afraid of the cold, Kel? The jackets I brought are plenty warm, though you don’t have to worry about that or any of the players crashing through the glass. I got us a box.” She had thought about asking Matt and his girlfriend, but she thought it would be weird considering everything that had gone on recently. She had bought the box with the intention of inviting Taylor and Kellie, there was no way the four of them would have been all right on their own in the stands, but the girls had been busy.
Kelly raised her eyebrow at the mention of them having the whole box to themselves, it was pointless though since Carrie couldn’t see her expression through the reflection of her window. “Now who is the one who is afraid? I can’t believe you got us a box. That’s something Jason would do.” Kelly had to laugh because Carrie was either really paranoid or did not want to be around other people. She smiled when she saw the center where the hockey games were played.
“Whatever, Kel.” Carrie carefully drove them through the traffic towards the parking garage, although she nearly hit the brakes when Kelly took off the seatbelt and leaned over to get to the backseat. “What are you doing? You know I didn’t really kidnap you! Get back in your-" Carrie briefly turned her head to see what the hell Kelly was doing, but she went back to paying attention to her driving when she heard a horn behind her shrill loudly.
Kelly laughed and let herself bounce down into her seat once she had the coats in her hands. “Chill. I was getting our coats.” She set the one she had seen Carrie in more often on the seat between them, and then she shrugged into the other coat. “I figured if you were crazy enough to buy a box, that we’re gonna be running to the center, so we need our jackets. I don’t want to leave them here and freeze my ass off at the game.” Kelly wished that she weren’t speaking from experience, but Jason had rushed her out of so many places that she left things behind a lot.
“Yeah, well,” Carrie really didn’t know what to say to Kelly. It had just all looked weird because she hadn’t know what Kelly was planning, and she really hadn’t wanted to cause some kind of accident and have to deal with other people. Not to mention what would have happened if someone told the press. “I’m not gonna make you run, though maybe I should now for scaring the crap out of me. I might take my jacket back too.” When Kelly hit her arm, Carrie snickered; her calm returning as more time passed since Kelly’s excited maneuver to grab their jackets.
Kelly laughed incredulously at Carrie’s claim. “Please, you think you can get this coat off me? I can so take you.” She laughed harder when Carrie scoffed at her statement. She wanted to pull some small kind of prank, but she didn’t want to scare Carrie again and get them in trouble. “You’re not saying anything because you know I’m right.”
Carrie chuckled as she finally got to turn into the parking garage. “Whatever, Kelly. I’m not fighting you for the jacket. You still have the other one I gave you.” Carrie shook her head as Kelly continued to bounce in the seat excitedly, it was too funny how amped Kelly was now that they were close to parking. She almost couldn’t believe that Kelly had managed to fake being upset at first.
Kelly chose to ignore the reference to their non-date date. She was too happy to be going out, even if Carrie was as protective as Jason. The blonde still knew how to have fun. “Change the subject all you want, I still totally would have kicked your ass.” Kelly giggled when Carrie let go of the steering wheel with one hand, probably to hit her, but immediately grab the wheel again because of a turn.
Carrie randomly thought that she was going to bring Jason a case of beer or some tickets to some sporting event he liked, because if Kelly was like this with her, then she was probably worse with Jason. “Think what you want, but you try to steal my nachos, and you’ll find out just how wrong you are, Clarkson.” Carrie laughed when Kelly’s bouncing immediately stopped and the other girl pouted and stared at her. “Get that look off your face, I’ll share.”
