When Bam woke the next morning, Ville wasn't in the room and it suprised him just how much that hurt that he woke up alone. He got up and pulled on his boxers but before he could finish getting dressed, the door to their room opened and Ville walked in, glancing at him with a frown when he saw that he was half dressed.
"You're leaving again?" He asked, his jaw clenching in frustration.
"No, of course not. I woke up and you'd gone so I was coming to look for you. I kinda thought that you might have left me this time."
The last part was said with such a quiet, insecure voice that it broke Ville's unbeating heart. Moving across the room with inhuman speed, he pulled Bam into a possesive embrace.
"I don't know why you're so insecure, you don't need to be."
"I'm not insecure." Bam insisted. Ville just looked disbelievingly at him and Bam let out a sigh, resting his head on Ville's shoulder. "I'm only insecure about my relationships, not about myself or my abilities."
"Why would you worry about your relationships?"
"Oh come on Ville." Bam sighed, pushing him away and sitting down on the edge of the bed. "I know what I'm like and I know how people see me. I'm the annoying skater kid with ADD, the dumbass who's always getting into trouble and doing stupid stunts that end with me getting hurt. People get sick of that. My last two relationships ended because I was too immature for them- and they were sixteen year old girls."
Kicking off his shoes, Ville pulled a chair over to the bed and sat down on it, facing Bam. "Then they weren't right for you sweetheart. It doesn't mean there's something wrong with you."
"Are you even listening to what I'm saying? I was too immature for a sixteen year old girl. You're sixty four, there's a 48 year age gap between us and you've seen so much more in your life, you're so much more mature and I'm just a dumb kid."
"Bammie, technically I'm 19 so I'm not that much older than you and secondly, you're only 16, you're not supposed to be mature yet. I like your personality, ADD and stupid stunts included so will you please stop thinking that I'm gonna give up on you."
Bam looked up at him with big, lost eyes. "I'm just sick of not being good enough."
Leaning over, Ville placed his hands on Bam's hips and urged him forward until he'd slid off the bed and onto his lap. "You're good enough for me darling."
He placed a soft kiss on Bam's lips and held him tight. He couldn't believe that such a confident looking, smart, funny guy could be so insecure deep down. He made a promise to try and protect Bam from anyone who tried to take away any more of his confidence. They sat that way for a few minutes before Bam pulled away.
"I have to take a shower man, I'm still gross and sticky from last night." He got up from Ville's lap and held out his hand. "Come with me?" He asked shyly.
"Of course darling." Ville smiled. "You get started, I'm dying for a cigarette."
"Ok, don't be long."
Ville watched until Bam was behind the closed bathroom door before lighting up a cigarette and studiously ignoring the 'no smoking' sign that was on the table next to him. He'd only taken three drgas though, when Bam's cell phone started to ring. He debated calling Bam back out but the sound of the shower already running made up his mind. Reaching into Bam's jacket pocket, he pulled out the phone and connected the call.
"Bam honey, it's mom. Don't hang up on me, I just want to know that you're safe." Ape's voice filtered down the line.
"This is Ville, not Bam." He replied reluctantly. Immediately Aprils tone turned icy cold.
"Where is my son and what have you done to him?" She spat venomously.
"Bam's fine, he's in the shower so if we can make this quick, I'm supposed to be joining him."
"I told you to stay away from him." She shrieked angrily.
"Yeah I know but did you ask Bam what he wanted? He didn't tell you where he was going to be last night because he knew you'd freak out if you knew he was going to be with me."
"Of course we'd be upset, you've been taking advantage of our son, and it was under our own roof."
"I NEVER took advantage of him." Ville said firmly, trying to control his anger. "Your son isn't an underage child like you seem to think he is and whether you want to believe it or not, I love him and I'd do anything for him. He loves me too and the more you try to keep us apart, the further away you're gonna push him."
He hung up the phone without giving her a chance to reply and, finishing his cigarette, he entered the bathroom to join his boyfriend. He stood and admired Bam's toned, unblemished body as he undressed, staring shamelessly as the hot water ran down his chest leaving droplets clinging to him.
He quietly entered the shower cubicle without Bam noticing, and wrapped his arms around the tanned torso elicting a squeak of suprise from his lover. He chuckled against Bam's neck causing a shiver to run through the boys body.
"I've been thinking." Ville said conversationally, running his fingertips gently over Bam's chest and sides. "All this beautiful, untouched skin of yours needs a marking of some sort. I think you need a tatoo."
"I'd love one but I'm too young." Bam said wistfully.
"The person who did all mine is a friend and he doesn't care how old you are. If you want one we can go and see him."
Bam turned round in Ville's arms to look at him in excitement. "Seriously?! you'll take me to get a tattoo?!" Suddenly, he seemed to think of something. " Uh, how much is it gonna cost because I need to start saving up some money for it, it's not like I can ask my parents for it."
"My treat darling. He owes me a favour so he'll drop the price a little and the rest I'll pay for." He stopped the protests that he knew were coming by sealing their lips together in a passionate kiss. "No arguments." He added when they finally broke apart.
"No arguments." Bam agreed breathlessly. Keeping Bam pulled close to him with one arm, Ville snaked the other down between their bodies and wrapped his hand around Bam's growing erection. Starting to stroke him almost lazily, Ville continued their conversation as if nothing was happening.
"So, do you have any idea of what you're gonna get?"
"I uh..i thought about...oh god." Bam yelped out as Ville twisted his hand in a very delightful way.
"I know it's your choice sweetheart but I'm not sure I like that idea, vampires and religious figures don't really mix well."
"Very funny." Bam panted as Ville sped up the pumping motion on his aching cock. "How am I supposed to...fuck, so good...to think when you keep....ahhh, more Ville, please....when you keep doing things like this to me?"
One of Bam's hands clung on to Ville desperately and the other moved down in an attempt to give Ville some of the pleasure he was recieving, but his hand was moved away and placed with the other around his neck.
"I don't need you to touch me, I just enjoy giving you pleasure and seeing how beautiful you are when you cum."
Bam did cum then, the passion behind those words and the feeling of Ville's cool hand against his fevered flesh pushing him over the edge. His nails dug into Ville's back as he screamed out his release and he felt his legs beginning to give out but Ville held him up, cradling him against his body and letting him come down from his high. They stood that way until Bam could stand on his own again and then they washed under the quickly cooling water, never moving more than two steps away from each other.
"So, what tattoo do you want to get?" Ville asked again.
"Well, I was kinda thinking about maybe getting one of yours if you didn't mind, so we could have matching ones." Bam thought about what he'd said for a moment. "That sounded really lame." He added.
"It didn't sound lame darling, I like the idea. Which one were you thinking of?"
"Well, I kinda like this one." Bam said lowering his hand to trace over a beautiful design on Ville's pelvic bone made up of a heart mixed with a pentagram and intricate vines coming from it.
"That one it is then. We'll go and see him tomorrow."
Beaming, Bam threw his arms around Ville and kissed him happily. "Thank you so much, I can't wait. I know it's gonna hurt but it'll be so worth it!"
Ville grinned at Bam's infectious excitement. "No problem darling, now let's get out of here because it's getting cold."
Once they were out and dressed again, Ville decided that maybe it would be best to tell Bam about the conversation he'd had with Ape.
"Sweetheart, I need to tell you something." He started gently, unsure of how Bam was going to react. "Your phone rang while I was having a cigarette and I answered it for you."
Bam sighed heavily, already able to tell that it wasn't going to be a friendly conversation that had been had. "Who was it and please tell me that you didn't threaten them."
"It was your mum, and no, I didn't threaten her. I wanted to though."
"Fuck. What happened then?" Bam asked, sitting down on a chair wearily.
Ville relayed the conversation rather nervously. He was finally getting somewhere with his human and he didn't want to ruin it.
"You lied though." Bam said after a few moments. "You did take advantage of me, more than once."
"Yeah well, I couldn't exactly tell your mum that, she hates me as it is."
"Do you regret doing that to me?" Bam asked softly.
Ville considered telling him what he wanted to hear but decided that, while the truth might hurt to start with, it would be better off in the long run. "No. I'd do it again if I had to."
Blue eyes filled with shock and fear stared at him, almost pleading with him to be joking. "You don't mean that." Bam stated, his voice insecure.
"Yes I do. I'm a vampire sweetheart, I don't have a concience like humans do and I don't feel guilt for any of the things I've done.I never hurt you though, any of those times. If I had then I think I may have felt a little guilt, only you could have that affect on me though, I don't care enough about anyone else to feel shame about killing them."
"Do you enjoy killing people?" Bam asked weakly. His emotions were all over the place and he wasn't sure if he was going to cry or laugh hysterically. He'd been stalked by a vampire who finally got him to start falling for him, and now that same vampire was telling him that he would willingly rape him again if he needed to.
"No, I don't enjoy it, I've always been different to other vampires like that. I kill only when I need to eat, not for fun. It's kind of similar to how I was with you. I never wanted a mate until I saw you because I watched others of my kind terrify the human they chose, raping and torturing them until they were too broken and scared to refuse; until they just gave up on life because they knew there was no other way out. I could never have done that to you."
Bam was speechless. There was nothing he could say that could even describe all his feelings at that moment. Deciding to stop thinking so hard about it all, he moved away from Ville to the other side of the bed and laid down. He laughed inwardly at Ville's expression of annoyance before leaning over and taking his hand, pulling him onto the bed next to him. Ville immediately wrapped his arms around him and he burrowed even further into the embrace before asking his next question.
"So, are there lots of vampires in WestChester?"
"It's kind of complicated, vampires are a dying breed. There used to be thousands of us but then a group of wanna be heroes found out what we are and they made it their mission in life to destroy us. They used old magicks to protect themselves so we can't kill them but they can kill us, we're down to about a hundred vampires now so we all stick together and move around to try and stop them finding us."
"So you're in hiding? Why don't you all just make more vampires? Not that I think killing people is a good idea, cause it's not." Bam added quickly.
"Because the more people we kill, the quicker they find us." Ville replied sadly. "Soon the whole lot of us will be wiped out."
They were both silent for a while as Ville thought about the loss of his kind and Bam tried to work out how to comfort him when it didn't seem such a bad thing in his mind. Bam was so lost in his thoughts that he nearly screamed in shock when a pillow hit him in the face. He glared up at Ville's amused face.
"What did you do that for?"
"We need to get going, they're gonna kick us out of the room soon."
"But it's daylight, how are you gonna manage going outside?" Bam asked, worried
"It's ok, I convinced the receptionist to bring my car up to the entrance."
"You have a car? I didn't even know you had a drivers license."
"I don't and I haven't." Ville replied with a smirk. "Now lets get going before someone reports their car stolen."
"VILLE." Bam exclaimed, shocked. "You can't just steal a car, especially if you don't know how to drive, the police will get our fingerprints."
"You're right, I don't want you getting into trouble, you wouldn't last five minutes in prison. Ok, I'll take the car and you walk. I'll meet you in the cemetary you used to walk through outside the first crypt by the east side gate."
"But what happens if someone does report the car and the police get your fingerprints?"
"Then they'll have the fingerprints of someone who died in the fifties, not much they can do with those." Ville grinned, kissing Bam's forehead affectionately. "Now you go ahead, I wanna go to the cigarette machine before I leave.
Bam quickly left the motel and headed down the road, fighting the urge to start laughing insanely, his life was so fucked up. He was dating a 64 year old dead guy, who kills people, beat the hell out of his friend and had just stolen a car. And, to top it all off, he was on his way to his boyfriends house which just so happened to be a crypt in the middle of the biggest cemetary in WestChester.
"Even Jerry Springer wouldn't believe this shit." He muttered to himself. But even though he bitched about all the weird aspects of his relationship, he had to admit that, now he'd admitted his feelings for the vampire, Ville made him happier than anyone else ever had.
