Bob Bryar, Ray Toro, Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero, and Virginia Prince stood at the altar of the Old Catholic church in the center of the newly built Contract Valley. There was a large concrete memorial in front of them with the coffin of Persephone Bryar enclosed inside.
Gerard started to break down again, as he had done every day since the large fight nearly a year before. His guilt over the death of his sister was only justified in his own mind. Everyone else had forgiven him, as they had promised Persephone, but he knew that he was in fault for her death.
Bob wrapped his arm around Gerard as everyone moved to the pew for Mikey to go first. Frank sat with his arms around a pregnant, crying Nia and Ray was looking at the floor like he was about to burst into tears himself. They had had formal funeral where hundreds of people had shown up, but they had not been giving the opportunity to say what they wanted in front of others.
“There are so many people in life who complain and argue about their siblings. It’s understandable. Gerard and Persephone were both nerve racking, annoying, pains in my ass, but I loved them both. I always hoped that I would be the first to die, not wanting to see Persephone go before me. There was a point when I thought I had gone before her, but in the end, all I got was lycanthropy. Even that I am no longer cursed with, thanks to the wonderful Rick. Yet now I have a curse greater than anyone should endure. We all do. Grief is by far the worst disease anyone should have to face. Persephone, where ever you are, we love you and miss you dearly.”
He moved from in front of the memorial quickly, about to start crying again. He replaced Bob at Gerard’s side as Bob stood to talk.
“I guess it’s my go, huh? Um, what can I say? Persephone was the light of my life. From the moment I met her nearly twenty years ago, I’ve been the happiest any man could ever be. She was beautiful, smart, and talented. I was the luckiest man in the world. She was my other half, my better half. Functioning without her has been as hard as anything I’ve ever done. Her death was a tragic loss for us all. I …” He stopped, unable to continue. He placed his hand over her name on the monument, tears running down his eyes.
“Who died?”
Everyone looked toward the door of the church in shock at the voice that sounded from the doorway. Persephone stood framed in the doorway, hair pulled into a twist high atop her head with curls flowing down, and white dress looking spotless in the noonday sun, sandaled heals making her look tall and regal. She started to walk down he aisle toward them, noticing the shock on all their faces, though it was Gerard’s face she noticed first.
“Gee …” She walked over to him, barely noticing the way Mikey moved down the pew away from her. She wrapped her arms around her other brother, kissing him on the cheek gently. “It wasn’t your fault. I knew it was going to happen. I don’t blame you.”
“You’re dead, Persephone. How can you be here?”
Persephone pulled away from Gerard, who seemed to be doing a little better, and moved to face Bob. She shrugged and closed her eyes, rolling her neck as beautiful white wings unfurled from her back. She turned her green eyes back to Bob and smiled. “I was in heaven, but my heart wasn’t. I wasn’t happy. I was asked what could make me happy. My answer didn’t please them, so I was sent back. Like this.” She smiled as she spoke his words back to him.
“What did you tell them would make you happy?”
“Oh, there were several factors actually. I told them I wanted Gerard’s happiness. I could see him, every day, crying over what he thought he had done to me. I couldn’t let him blame himself.”
“They could have fixed that. That wouldn’t have made them send you back.”
“I also told that I wanted to be able to see Mikey and Gerard’s first children, since I could see that there are several young ladies after Gerard and one in particular who Mikey seems to be getting serious about.”
“Again, they wouldn’t send you back over something like that.”
Persephone smiled and gestured toward Frank and Nia. “Their baby needs a god mother, right?” She gestured to Ray, moving slightly closer to Bob. “And Ray is torn up about the whole death thing, partially blaming himself, though he has told no one.”
“Persephone …”
Bob moved toward her and she smirked at him. “Yes, Bob?”
“What did you say would make you happy? Really? It has to do with me, doesn’t it?”
She walked up to him and ran her hand up his chest. “There might have been a little something about you in there. It wasn’t anything big. I just went into some graphic details about a bed and ropes …”
Their lips met and her wings fluttered as his appeared behind him, wrapping around hers. “That sounds more like why they would kick you out.”
“There was a little something else.” Persephone kissed Bob again, wrapping her hands around his neck. “Something in life I wasn’t willing to give up.”
“And what’s that, Persephone?”
They exchanged another kiss and she pulled back, whispering against his lips. “I wasn’t willing to give up the other piece of you I was carrying with me when I was killed.”
“And what piece of me is that?”
He ran his hand gently along her jaw as she smiled up at him. “Our unborn child.”
THE END …. Or is it?

A/N: I'm thinking maybe a series. Possibly involving different bands in the future with their children. Otherwise, this is end. I hope you've all enjoyed it.
