It had been a month since the press had found out, and Zac and Nikki had been forced to confirm that Nikki was indeed pregnant. That they were a couple, and that Zac and Vanessa were no longer an item, and hadn’t officially been together in over a year.

Vanessa in the end admitted that she was dating someone else as well; not only that, that she was pregnant. Vanessa had figured she’d come clean, and have everyone know on her terms, and not in the fashion that the press had discovered Zac and Nikki.

She hadn’t wanted to, but she had realised sooner or later she would start to show. She after all was a thin and petite girl. This meant the press and others were bound to notice the change in her body mass and shape. That was the problem when you were usually so thin, and were naturally petite, pregnancy tended to show on you more, and earlier then it would necessarily on a none petite person.

The nation had been shocked, and Zanessa fans were devastated, while Zikki fans were rejoicing. Zac and Vanessa had attended television interviews with both Nikki and Phillip.

Vanessa had firmly told everyone, Zanessa fans especially that they weren’t to start verbally attacking Nikki, as she wasn’t, nor had she ever been a relationship wrecker. She confirmed that she loved Zac, but hadn’t ever been in love with him or felt any romantic feelings for him.

She also admitted to cheating on Zac, for over a year before they called it a day, and decided to remain just friends. She admitted she was a lot happier and was in love with Phillip, and was looking forward to becoming a mother, regardless of how young she was.

Zac had also admitted that he had cheated on Vanessa once, and only once with Nikki, which was when Nikki had ended up pregnant. He assured the Zanessa fans that he did love Vanessa, but he wasn’t in love with her, and did not hold the romantic feelings for her that all of the fans seemed to think he had. He assured them that Vanessa would always remain a dear friend to him no matter what.

He also revealed he was very much in love with Nikki. That he was happy and content, and looking forward to becoming a father, even if the notion it self was very daunting to say the least.

And finally Nikki had confirmed that she was very much in love with and happy with Zac. She also revealed there was no, nor had there ever been any ill will between her and Vanessa, and that they were very good friends, who shared something in common with each other.

She confirmed she was four months pregnant with twins. And that she was both nervous and excited about becoming a mother even if she was eighteen, almost nineteen. She also told the fans, the teenage girls especially, that being pregnant was not easy, and she did not recommend it so early, and advised them to wait until they were much older.

Nikki and Vanessa had been shocked, as well as terribly amused when fans started sending cuddly toys and baby clothes. They even giggled together over some of the suggestions from the fans, for baby names.

John and Christopher had rang Nikki, and both had been shocked when they had read the paper and caught at least one of the interviews. Even Adam had called and was stunned to discover Nikki was pregnant with Zac’s twins.

Brittany had squealed in delight, and had congratulated her and Zac. The HSM cast had been more then a little stunned as well. The bosses had Disney had not been pleased about Vanessa’s pregnancy. They claimed it was hardly setting a good example for the very young viewers.

In the end it was decided that Vanessa would film the biggest part of her scenes whilst she was still not showing, and would wear clothing that were still fashionable, but would hide the baby bump, when she really started to show.

And as soon as she had the baby, then she would film the rest of her scenes. And to grantee that both Zac and Vanessa would be on board, they agreed to allow Nikki and Phillip to stay in Zac and Vanessa’s trailers during filming. Filming would start in two weeks.

Zac and Nikki were sitting in his apartment and were watching a movie. Zac kept fidgeting, and couldn’t get comfortable, he was on edge with nerves, and Nikki knew this and could sense it.

She asked “Zac what is it, your moving around like you’ve got ants in your pants. Something is obviously bothering you, so spit it out already.” Zac sighed, he was really, really nervous. What if she said no, or claimed it was too soon?

Zac had something he needed to ask Nikki. He decided to get it over and done with, if she accepted then wonderful. But if she denied him, then he would lick his wounds the best he could without making her feel guilty.

Zac got up and walked over to his coat pocket, and returned with a little velvet scarlet box. Nikki felt her eyes widen at the sight of the box. She had a feeling she knew what was in that box, and felt a nervous thrill go through her.

Zac instead of retaking his seat next to her, instead got down on one knee in front of her, and took a deep breath before he said. “I realise this maybe too soon to ask, but I’m going to ask anyway. Will you marry me?”

He added before she could answer, as she gasped and placed a hand over her mouth in shock. “Look doll face, I realise this seems far too soon, but I love you, and want to make you my wife. Plus I wouldn’t feel right with our children being born out of wedding lock. Some of my family members are not pleased with the fact they were even conceived out of wed lock, namely my grandparents on my mother’s side of the family.”

Nikki nodded and replied “Neither was mine either. My grandparents on my father’s side of the family a pure Catholics; they gave me one hell of a lecture on how I’d sinned, by getting myself pregnant before marriage.”

She added placing a hand on Zac’s cheek. “And to answer your question, yes I’ll marry you, Zac.” Zac beamed at her and leaned forward and captured her lips with his own, in a gentle, loving and passionate kiss.

When he pulled away he opened the little box, to reveal a solid white gold band, with a medium sized white princess, square cut diamond, mounted in the centre. Nikki beamed and said “It’s gorgeous, and I’m glad you’ve remembered how I dislike diamonds or other gems that are too large and over bearing.”

Zac carefully removed the ring from the box, before taking her left hand, and slid the band over her left ring finger. It was a prefect fit, and looked stunning on her. Zac was pleased that it fit, and that it looked so incredible on her.

He placed a kiss on her palm, before letting her hand go, and stood up and retook his seat next to her on the love seat. Nikki lifted her hand and examined her knew possession. She marvelled at its beauty, she already loved it.

The next day Nikki met both Vanessa and Amanda in the same restaurant that she and Zac had gone to near to his apartment. The girls ordered a round of drinks before ordering their choice of food.

Nikki chose her usual ice tea with ice and a slice of lemon. Vanessa chose a cranberry juice with ice, while Amanda had pure orange juice with ice. As soon as their drinks were delivered to their table, they ordered their food. Nikki chose her usual jacket potato with cream cheese and coslaw, and a side order of salad. Vanessa had a turkey salad, while Amanda had a ham salad.

It hadn’t taken long for them to notice the new sparkler on Nikki left hand. Vanessa and Amanda had squealed in delight. Nikki revealed Zac had proposed to her the night before, at his flat, during a movie they had been watching. She told them how he had gotten down and one knee and asked her.

Vanessa and Amanda had been beaming in delight when Nikki told them how Zac had proposed. Both girls had gushed and congratulated her. Vanessa and Amanda had teased her and called her the future Mrs. Efron. Nikki confirmed she had already decided she would be keeping her maid name, but would be adding Zac’s last name onto the end.

Vanessa asked what order she was going to have it in, Blonsky-Efron or Efron-Blonsky. Nikki confirmed she had decided she preferred Blonsky-Efron, and that Zac agreed with her choice.

Both girls had marvelled at the beauty of the ring. Vanessa joked about how it was at least a relief to see Zac did actually have good taste. She revealed some guys really had to tackiest of taste.

Amanda confirmed that she was right. That one of her ex- boyfriends had bought her an emerald ring in the shape of a cluster, with rubies surrounding it, mounted on a band of gold. This had both Nikki and Vanessa laughing, as well as cringing at the very thought of it.

Naturally it was safe to say she never wore the abomination, and a couple of weeks later found a reasonable excuse to break up with him. Nikki and Vanessa couldn’t blame her, they realised they would have most likely gone and done the same.
