Chapter 11: The Second Party
"Just take it easy for the next few days. I wanna do a full work up on you after your wedding." Dr. Samson said looking at Andy as she was putting on her hoodie.
"You're coming right?" Andy asked with a smile standing up from the bed.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." The older lady said with a smile. She turned to the door and closed it. She sighed and stood at the edge of the bed.
"Andrea, you really need to be careful. You're about to start a family. I don't want you to do too much too soon." She said in a gentle tone.
Andy sighed and turned to face her doctor fully, "Everyone's sounding like a broken record telling me to be careful. Look, I know I've been doing a bit much."
"That's an understatement."
Andy tried not to roll her eyes, "But Doc, I'm trying to cherish this time while I can. I don't know what the next day will bring. One minute I'm awake and enjoying life, the next I could not be. If Daniel's passing taught me anything, it's that we all don't have much time. I want to be able to see and do everything I can while I still got time."
"I understand honey, but you also have to understand your family and friends care about you and don't want to lose you at a young age."
Andy sat down on the bed and shook her head. She rubbed her face in her hands and then looked back up at her doctor, "How bad is it? You wouldn't be saying that if it wasn't bad. Don't lie to me Doc. How bad?"
Dr. Samson sighed and grabbed the stool next to the bed. She pulled it towards her and sat across from her. She gave Andy the clipboard and started to explain everything to her.
Meanwhile in the waiting room everyone but Andy's parents were waiting for her. Justin and Michael were heading out so they could pack for their trip up North with Andy and the guys. Ethan gave them a list of what to pick up at the store and Lynn gave them a key to the rental house.
Andy's parents had to get back to their place to set up everything for the family gathering. After seeing Andy and talking to her for a bit they told her they had to get going. They also told her not to over do it again. She smiled and shook her head. She gave them each a hug and then her sister.
Wendy came up to Lynn and gave her a small smile, "Are you okay?"
Lynn nodded, "I am now. After her and I talked about everything. I was scared seeing her in yet another hospital bed. I couldn't help but think this was going to be our life. But you know your sister. Always good with the words." She let out a soft chuckle and Wendy nodded.
"If you don't mind me asking what did you two talk about?"
Lynn sat down in one of the chairs and so did Wendy. She let out a small breath and Wendy took her hand in hers.
"Well after I was done crying, she told me that everything was going to be okay. I told her for a moment I started to have second thoughts. But after talking to Alex earlier, I knew that I was in her life for a reason. We didn't meet by chance. This was fate. Fate has a funny way of things. But we all came together for a reason. I said fate. She said God. Then we both decided the two were working together." They both let out a small laugh.
"I gotta say though, you've been good for her. She's motivated now more than ever. Before she was just work, sleep, repeat. Now she's wanting to do all the things she's always talked about. Seeing the world, playing music, writing, being a photographer. She was stuck and then all of a sudden you come along and her dreams came true. All thanks to you."
Lynn shook her head, "I can't take all the credit. She's this amazing person. She just needed a little push."
"You did just that. She's more confident in herself and she's more sure of herself now more than ever." Wendy gave Lynn a hug and she whispered a small thank you.
"Guys," Angel said standing up seeing Andy slowly walk into the waiting room with Dr. Samson. She gave them all a small smile and Shey rushed up to Andy nearly knocking her over. Andy let out a small grunt and wrapped her arms around the woman she knew most of her life.
"Shey, hon, I love you too, but I need to breathe." Andy said.
Shey let go of her quickly, "I'm so sorry! I'm just glad you're okay."
"All of us are." Ethan said coming up to her and hugging her.
"You scared us again. You need to stop doing that. I want my best friend around for a long time." He whispered, then let her go.
"What triggered this?" He asked.
Andy looked at Dr. Samson and she nodded.
"I just wanna say I'm sorry for scaring everyone. Again. But um, what triggered this was seeing Jesse honestly."
"Wait, Jesse? As in your ex Jesse?" Shey asked.
Andy nodded, "Yeah, um, so I went into the room at the spa for the massage. I was laying down on the bed and she came in. I panicked and started to get dressed. She apologized and even offered to get someone else. She said that she wouldn't say anything to anyone. She mentioned what Nicole and Vicki did, even said it was horrible."
Lynn came up to her and took her hand in hers. Andy gave her a small smile and continued on, "I knew she meant well, but after what happened two years ago, it just felt like everything was coming back. Everything was hazy, but I kept seeing flashes of the newspaper articles. I couldn't hear anyone because all I kept hearing was news anchors saying my name and scandal in one sentence. I just panicked. I haven't seen Jesse since we broke up and just having her there just triggered everything."
"Did you two have a bad break up?" Brian asked.
"I let her down gently, and we stayed friends, but lost contact. We dated for about three months. She was a horrible kisser. After our first kiss, I took her home, then, I went home and I actually threw up." She explained.
"You did?!" Alex said in a shocked voice and she nodded.
Dr. Samson cleared her throat and everyone turned their attention to her.
"Okay, everyone, Andy has to take it easy for a little while. I know the wedding is coming up, but she does have to relax at some point."
"Like that's going to happen." Hayley said with a slight scoff.
Dr. Samson shot her a glare and she quickly gave an apology. After a beat, she continued, "I do have to do a full work up on her soon. The stress test was inconclusive. That doesn't necessarily mean bad news, but I do want to do another one. Her heart is delicate, I'm doing everything I can to find out what she has exactly. She can stay active but not as much as she used to.
She's going to be wearing a heart monitor. Her phone will send out an alarm if her heart rate goes up to a certain point. If that happens and she can't calm down. You all know what to do." She turned to look at Lynn and gave her a small smile.
"Now that you're her spouse I'm giving you my number. Wendy, and Ethan have it, as well as her parents. I understand you both will be living in Boston towards the end of this month."
Lynn nodded, "After her mom's birthday we're going to be settling in Boston. Hopefully to be fully settled by Thanksgiving."
Dr. Samson nodded and gave her a piece of paper with her number on it, "Just so happens a residency opened up, and I have applied for it. I've been Andy's doctor for a long time. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. Now, you all have a good time and I will see you all at the wedding."
She gave Andy's arm a gentle squeeze and Andy thanked her one more time. She left the waiting room and everyone gathered around Lynn and Andy.
"Why did you pick her as your doctor?" Angel asked.
"I noticed my heart was skipping beats. So I went to our family doctor at the time. He just said it was due to my heart murmur, nothing to be worried about. I went to three different doctors all telling me the same thing." She said and slowly started to make her way to one of the chairs. Lynn and Ethan helped her until she settled into the chair.
"I almost gave up, and then I get this phone call from her office asking me to come in for a check up. I asked how did she know. Turned out one of the doctors I went to is a colleague of hers. They went to the same medical school. He passed my file to her. So I went and she did every test under the sun." She took in a deep breath and let it out.
"Turns out she loves a mystery. So she took my case. Top of her class and came highly recommended. Been working with her ever since. When I tore my ACL she helped me find an amazing surgeon. Turned out he was the orthopedic surgeon for the Detroit Lions."
"What?!" Addy said and Andy gave him a smile and nodded.
"So what's going on with your heart now?" Brian asked.
Andy sat back in her chair and let out a sigh, "What I can tell you is that it's not good. I'm still a little fuzzy on the details, but what I do have to do is change my diet just a little bit. Do light workouts, and learn to relax. She said the next few days may be crucial, since I'm still going to be reeling from the panic attack. So, guys, whatever you have planned for us, I gotta take it easy."
Ethan nodded and sat down next to her, "There are a couple of things that may get your adrenaline going, but hopefully not too much." He placed his hand on hers and kissed her forehead.
Justin and Micheal came back into the room and smiled at Andy.
"Glad to see you're okay buddy." Micheal said coming up to her. He helped her stand up and gave her a gentle hug.
"Likewise." Justin told her giving her a pat on her shoulder when she and Michael pulled away.
"So I guess it's time we part ways." Alex said coming up to them.
"What do you mean?" Andy asked.
Lynn put a hand on her shoulder and she turned to look at her, "Can you guys give us a minute?" she asked and everyone nodded. All the girls gave Andy a hug saying that they were happy she was okay. Wendy told Lynn she would meet her downstairs. Ethan smiled saying they would see her in a minute.
Once everyone was out of the room Andy looked at her again, "What's going on love?"
Lynn touched her cheek and smiled, "The guys are taking you away tonight. You'll be back late tomorrow night. I'm going to be spending time with the girls. The guys have a whole day planned with you. Things you're truly going to enjoy." She took a step closer to her.
"I'm not gonna lie, I am going to worry about you being gone. Like I did the past year, but I know you're going to be in good hands. You're going to be okay. I know you're scared. I know you're not tell us something. But, I also know you'll tell me when you're ready."
Andy sniffled, "I don't deserve you." She said softly letting a tear escape.
Lynn smiled through her soft tears, "I think I'm the one that doesn't deserve you."
Andy took Lynn's hand in hers and gently kissed the back of it. She pulled her close and held her tight. In all the darkness Andy was in, Lynn was her light leading her out. She never knew she could love someone so much. Lynn was truly an angel that was sent to her.
*******************************************************************************
"The boys and Andy are away, now us girls can finally play!" Angel said with a smile coming up to Lynn with a glass. She looked at her best friend with a look.
"Oh relax! It's orange juice that's all." She said and Lynn smiled taking the glass.
"Now that the fittings are done, we can FINALLY have girl talk." Lauren said sitting down on the couch.
"Okay, first order of business, I've been wondering is this," Angel said putting her glass down on the table.
"You asked Brian to get information from Ethan about Andy. Why is that?"
"Keep up appearances," Lynn said with a small shrug and a smirk.
"Even when I asked you if you heard from her, you did?!" Angel asked looking at her surprised. Lynn just gave her a wink.
"So you were in contact with my sister this WHOLE time?" Wendy asked and Lynn nodded.
"Man, you two are good!" Kim said shaking her head.
"Like we said, we had to keep our heads down because of Nicole and Vicki."
"Okay I can see where you're coming from on that front. But you two got married! Just when I thought I wouldn't see Lynn Gunn settle down." Lisa said with a wink.
"Alright, alright, I have to ask Lauren a question." Lynn said looking at her friend with smirking eyes. All attention went to Lauren. She looked up at everyone with a surprised look.
"Uh, what did I miss?"
"You missy have been holding out us about you and Justin." Lynn said sitting on the edge of her seat.
"Wait, you and Justin?! When did this happen?!" Lisa asked looking at her.
"Fine, fine, fine, okay, well I guess things started at Coachella. We were on the ferris wheel and I don't know, something sparked. I'm not sure what. I mean I've been with you guys since the beginning and I've had boyfriends here and there. But for some reason that day Justin and I just somehow clicked. I thought nothing of it and the tour ended but he and I kept in touch."
"Have you two been on a proper date yet?" Crystal asked and Lauren shook her head.
"Well he's moving to Boston right? Wouldn't that help a bit?" Wendy said.
"I guess so." Lauren said with uncertainty
"Okay, okay, okay, how about a group date then?" Lynn suggested.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, with Brian, Angel, Alex, Ethan, Kara, David, Andy, and myself. That way it won't be that awkward. We all know how they can be."
"Oh, bullshit! You and Andy didn't an awkward first date!" Kayla said and everyone looked at her.
"I'm sorry, didn't mean for it to come out rude. But Andy spilled the beans about your first official date. How you gave her a tattoo, you went to Martha's Vineyard, and had a great time." Kayla explained.
"Okay, okay, but at the same time we got over that awkward phase because we got to know each other for like I don't two months give or take." Lynn said.
"No, no, she was courting you. Normally it would take her longer, but she became more comfortable with you." Shey said with a smile.
"That would explain a lot." Lynn said slowly.
"What do you mean?" Katie asked.
"Well I guess it really started when we came to visit her and Ethan the first time before we went to Europe. The few days I spent with her, she just did little things. Like leaving notes for me. Or just sending me a small text. Stuff like that. Even after we officially got together, she still did those little things, and it hasn't stopped." Lynn finished with a smile.
"She's an old romantic. She has to be sure. She considered herself as the female version of Mr. Darcy for a while." Wendy said with a small laugh.
"I wanna hear all about this." Angel said with a smile.
********************************************************************************
"Thank you Mr. Davis. My dad and I will be here same date as usual." She said with a smile shaking the older man's hand.
"I told you for years to call me Harry. I've known you since you were a child." He said with a smile.
"I know, but I'm just used to calling you that. Dad was very strict when we came here for the first time." She said with a smile.
"I'm looking forward to your wedding. Opal and I are going to be there the day before. Thank you for thinking of us." He said and they started to slowly walk out of the woods.
Andy smiled, "You and your family have been part of my life since I could remember. Opening your home to us every time we come up to hunt. I was about what five or six when I first met you?"
He nodded with a smile, "You were knee high, and wide eyed dressed in your hunting gear. Your dad said your mom wasn't too keen on you hunting at such a young age."
She nodded, "Yes sir, she yelled at him when I told her that he let me shoot his gun." She chuckled and he put his arm around her shoulders.
"Megan, Ross, and Chelsea were always excited when you two came up. They also can't wait for the wedding. I remember you four running around here playing, having fun, throwing snowballs at each other, and building snowmen. Ross even said he was going to marry you one day." He said with a chuckle.
Andy let out a soft laugh as they came up to a cabin, "Did he really?"
Harry nodded, "He was so disappointed when you came out. I think he locked himself in his room for days listening to break up songs. He was so determined to be with you, he wouldn't give up. Even said he would try to change your mind. Hopefully this wedding would show him that you're officially off the market."
Andy shook her head just as the door to the cabin opened. Ethan walked out with a smile and Andy turned back to Harry, "Well, I hope so too. Thank you again Mr. Davis. I promise we won't get too loud out here."
"Be as loud as you want. You have a right to celebrate. You know where to find us if you all need anything."
The two hugged and he left Andy with her friends. She watched as he got into his pick up truck and waved at him as he drove off. She sat on the steps and Ethan sat down next to her. He put his arm around her and she let out a happy sigh.
"I love this place. It's so peaceful and quiet. I feel like I could live here." She said resting her head on her best friend's shoulder. He pulled her close and nodded.
"So this is where you go every time you go hunting. I can see why. You needed an escape." The door to the cabin opened again and the rest of the guys came out. They joined the two on the steps and smiled.
"You know how everyone keeps telling me to relax?" She asked raising her head up from her best friend's shoulder and everyone nodded.
"This place is where I come to relax. Something about hunting, just being in the woods, being here. I don't know it's a sense of calm. I'm such a gung ho person when it comes to things. I'm always on the go. But when dad and I come up here, things just slow down." She turned to the others and saw them all smiling at her.
"It's like time stands still here, and I'm so glad you guys are here with me. I'm glad I'm able to share this part of my life with all of you. Also, Clint, I'm extremely happy you're able to be here. I know today you normally spend it with your son."
Clint smile and put a hand on her shoulder, "I wouldn't miss this for the world. Kristen understands. She knows how important this is to you. Thank you for including me in your wedding. William was a little upset, but I promised to make it up to him."
She touched his hand and smiled. She looked at all the guys that she held dear, "This is so much better than what the girls did to me."
They all laughed and nodded.
"All right, now down to the real question. What did your doctor say about drinking?" David asked.
"Well she didn't say I couldn't." Andy said with a smirk.
"In that case." Michael stood up and rushed back into the cabin. A few moments went by and he came out carrying a few bottles of beer. He passed them out and looked at Andy, "I know you don't drink beer so we got you the hard cider you like."
"You guys are the best. Thank you." She took the bottle from him and Ethan stood up and faced all of them. After they all popped open their bottles.
"I know, I'm supposed to give my speech at the wedding. But I just want to say a little something for my best friend." He cleared his throat.
"Andy, we all are here because of you. Not just because you're getting married. Okay well, you're already married. But we're all glad to be part of one of the biggest day of your life. We all love and care about you. You brought us together and we've all become so close in a short amount of time. We became your family. You are always bringing people together and creating long lasting friendships. We can't wait to see what the future has for you and we can't wait to be a part of it. To Andy."
"To Andy!" The guys replied and Andy smiled as they touched their bottles.
"I can't believe you guys got me drinking at ten in the morning."
"Oh, please, Angel said they started when they went to their dress fitting which was at eight this morning." Brian said waving her off.
They all laughed and Andy shook her head, "So what's the rest of the day like?"
"Let's just say, you're going to have an amazing day." Alex said smiling.
*****************************************************************************
"You have GOT to be kidding me! Look at her! She's in an actual dress!" Lisa said looking at a picture of Andy when she was sixteen.
"I can't believe she was hiding this from us! Wendy, this is amazing!" Kim said grabbing the picture from Lisa.
"And here she was being miserable with her makeover!" Lauren said with a laugh.
"How have I not seen these?! Your dad even pulled out all the pictures of you two growing up!" Lynn said looking at Wendy.
Wendy shrugged, "I guess she must have hid them or something. I'm surprised she didn't hide the ones of us in the tub. Apparently these are more embarrassing than those. I hide those and she hides these." She took a sip of her drink and sat back on the couch.
"She looks so beautiful! We HAVE to talk to her about wearing some sort of make up at the wedding!" Angel said.
"When she used to be a Drag King she would use foundation, eyeliner, and mascara to make her face pop a bit." Shey said nonchalantly. The conversation stopped and they all looked at her as she was taking a bite of one of the snacks on the table. She looked up at everyone and looked around, "What?"
"So you mean to tell me she USED to wear makeup?!" Katie asked moving a bit closer to Shey.
"Yeah, what? She didn't tell you? Wendy knew! She used to help her pick foundation out!" She said pointing at Wendy.
Wendy held up her hands in defense, "Whoa, okay it was only twice. She had NO idea what she was doing and she asked me to come along and pick out something for her skin tone. Okay, well also for her eyeliner, and mascara. She used blush too. I would put on her makeup, our friend Anne would put on her 'face.' Then, I would strap her down. She would get dressed, then perform. It was like that for about four years."
"Just like Angel said, we HAVE to get her to wear make up at the wedding!" Brittany said with a smile.
There was a knock at the door and everyone but Lynn looked confused. She got up and went to the door. She smiled seeing the three women. She invited them in and everyone got up with small squeals seeing Erika, Melissa, and Kara. They all gave each other hugs and finally settled down in the living room.
"I thought you guys weren't coming in for a few more days." Hayley said.
"Well, Lynn called and said she wanted us to be here for her bachelorette party and we couldn't pass it up." Kara explained thanking Angel for giving her a glass.
"Where's Serenity? I thought she was with you." Lynn said sitting down next to Melissa.
"She's stuck in Roswell. Something happened with the location. The permit is being delayed and she's trying to get it rushed. But they're taking their time." Erika explained rolling her eyes.
"Seattle was easy. In and out. But for some reason Roswell is just being difficult. But she said she's determined to make the wedding." Kara told them.
"Okay, ladies! I need Lynn, Wendy, Shey, Kayla, and Brittany to sit in these chairs." Angel said standing behind five chairs she somehow set up without them knowing.
The five women looked confused and they each took a seat.
"Katie and Crystal I'm sorry for not including you, but Andy mentioned that you all didn't know about each other until she was about twenty one." Angel said giving them a soft smile.
The sisters shook their heads and waved her off.
"No, it's okay! We get it. It's a long story and I'm actually excited for this!" Crystal said with a smile as Katie nodded.
"What's going on?" Lynn asked and Lisa stood up with some note cards. Lauren was giving the five a pen, and a pad of paper.
"We're going to see who knows Andy more. Who ever wins will get the grand prize!" Kim said with a smile.
"Oh, this is going to be so much fun!" Kara said sitting on the edge of her seat.
"We'll start easy. Andy has four favorite colors what are they?" Lisa asked. The four wrote down their answers. Shey was the first to finish and she smirked. They waited for the other four to finish.
"Show your answers."
They turned their pad around and they looked at each others.
"Shey, Wendy, and Lynn got it! Andy's favorite colors are black, red, emerald and silver."
"Damn it! I could have sworn she loved purple!" Kayla said.
"No, that was Nicole." Shey pointed out.
"Darn! I was so close! I thought of the Green Arrow, and Green Lantern. Thinking green was her favorite." Brittany said shaking her head.
"Next question, in order, list Andy's top five favorite bands." Lisa said smiling at them. Lynn couldn't help but shake her head.
"How did you come up with these questions?" Hayley asked.
"I called Andy and just started asking her random questions the other day. She knew something was up, but I told her I just needed some ideas for my maid of honor speech." Angel said sipping her drink and smirked.
The five were done and Lisa told them to show their answers.
"Wendy, and Kayla for the win! Starting from number five; Breaking Benjamin, four, Paramore, three, SafetySuit, two, PVRIS, one, TRAPT."
"Shit! I got SafetySuit and Breaking Benjamin mixed up. Damn!" Lynn said shaking her head.
"Fuck me! I so thought she was into Issues." Brittany said.
"She is, don't get me wrong. But she just only started listening to them a few years ago." Wendy said.
"I wonder how the guys are doing with her." Kara said.
"Oh, I'm sure she's having a ball! Much more fun than she had with us!" Crystal said with a laugh and they all nodded.
"Alright, here's a hard one. What song does Andy listen to when she has a rough day?"
"That is a hard one." Kayla said trying to think. Wendy and Shey quickly wrote down their answers and they both finished at the same time.
After a few minutes they all had their answers. They turned around the pads and Lisa shook her head.
"Lynn, and Wendy got it! It was a trick question. She listens to three songs. Three, 'Anybody' by Jesse McCartney. Two, 'Jasey Rae' acoustic version by All Time Low. One, 'These Walls' by TRAPT."
"I need to get on the board here." Brittany said and they all laughed.
"Crap! I thought it was 'Right Back In The Water.'" Shey said.
"A few more questions and then the grand prize!" Lauren said with a smile. She was recording the whole thing and she couldn't wait to put everything together for the wedding.
****************************************************************************
"Let's hope your alarm doesn't go off." Ethan said smiling as Andy was putting on her helmet.
"How did you know I always wanted to do this?" She asked as the guys were putting on her harness.
"You remember sitting at Mary's a while back?" He asked and she nodded.
"Well you mentioned you wanted to go zip lining and I promised I would take you. Here's me keeping my promise." He said gently squeezing her shoulder.
"Michael and David are on the other side waiting. We're right behind you." He gave her a soft smile and the guy said she was ready to go.
She thanked him and stood at the edge of the platform. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath. She pushed herself off the platform and felt the rush of the wind on her face. She opened her eyes and smiled. She threw her arms out and let the force of gravity pull her.
Everything she was stressing out about was forgotten. Everything she was worried about was forgotten. Everything she was feeling down about was forgotten. Just being able to feel free and having the rush was just relaxing. She looked around seeing the colors of autumn along the trees. Feeling the brisk air signifying the change of the seasons. She leaned back slightly looking up at the light blue sky with wisp of clouds.
The sun's rays shining on her giving her warmth of the day. Oh how she didn't want this rope to end. Just being carefree like this. She wished she could feel like this every day.
She felt herself slightly slowing down and she looked at the platform at the end to a smiling David and Michael. A young woman smiled catching her and once she was fully on the platform she started to help her out of the harness.
"Some rush right?!" Michael asked giving her a smile.
"Oh, man! Incredible! I wanna do it again!" She said flushed from the wind. She took off her helmet and gave it to the young woman. She thanked her looked at her two friends.
"Who's left?" She asked.
"I think just Alex and Ethan. Everyone else is down below waiting on us." David said.
"I'll stay up here and wait for them." Andy said.
"I will too. They should be coming shortly." Michael said and David nodded.
"Sweet. We'll see you guys down there." David smiled and he made his way down the small ladder.
"You guys are the best. I can't believe I didn't know about this place. I come up here a lot and this is the first time I heard about it." Andy said running her fingers through her silver dyed hair.
"Alex found it actually. Ethan knew you and your dad come up here around this time and suggested it. I think this was put in about a year ago." Michael explained and the young woman nodded.
"It was. I guess the town wanted to bring in some more money, but still remain in tact. So just by doing this brought some business the past year." She told them checking the rope.
Andy nodded, "Makes sense. I'm actually glad they didn't decide to put in those chain grocery stores and fast food places. I love places like this. Small towns. Just something about them puts me at ease."
"Second thoughts about living in a city?" Michael asked.
Andy shook her head, "Not really. Cities do have their advantages, but they're noisy, too many people, traffic, and don't get me started on the Holidays."
Michael chuckled, "Maybe you and Lynn should rethink Boston."
"I lived in cities all my life. The only time I ever feel at peace is when I'm in places like this. On our six month get away, we visited a few places, but once we hit the smaller towns, I was at ease. I don't know. Maybe one day we'll be able to live in a small town."
"Why not now? I mean if you think about it, you two would be coming back from the chaos of tour and would just want some peace for a while."
"True, but we both decided on Boston as a good starting point for now. We'll go from there. We have all our lives to figure it out."
The young woman's walkie went off. The voice said the next person was on their way. She replied back saying she was ready.
"What's next after this?" Andy asked Michael.
He just smiled, "Let's just say, you're going to be letting out a lot of stress for a couple of hours."
"Seriously?! Dude! Please, please, please tell me I get to shoot an AK-47!"
He just smiled and turned his eyes to the zip line waiting for either Ethan, or Alex.
"Oh come on! You know I don't do well with surprises!"
"Yet you surprised everyone last week about your marriage." He pointed out.
"Touche. Okay, I'll give you that. So anything on the Hayley front?" She said nudging his shoulder. She noticed his cheeks turned slightly red.
"Don't hold out. Come on bro! She didn't mention anything yesterday. It's been a week. What's been up dude?"
"Just taking it slow ya know. Getting to know her outside of Paramore and just being able to get to talk to her. She's a very driven person. Speaking of Paramore, Zac and Taylor are going to be here tonight. They got caught up. Wanted wanted to get souvenirs for their families."
"Sweet. I'm so glad y'all are getting along. I was worried for a bit. Two of my worlds were gonna collide and I didn't know how it was going to go."
"Like Ethan said earlier, you have a way of bringing people together. It's like you have this balance about you or something. Maybe that's why a lot of us go to you for advice."
Andy shrugged, "I am a Libra. My sign is that scale. Plus, I need some sort of structure in my life."
"Don't I know it. When you finish your prep, or when you close the line, you are always doing things at a certain time." He chuckled, "I remember you running around like a maniac one night because you were like a minute behind on something."
"What can I say, I like to get things done at a certain time." Andy smiled watching Ethan come down the zip line.
"I sure hope Lynn knows what she's in for." He gave her a pat on her shoulder as Ethan came to a stop.
"Woo! That was awesome!"
The friends laughed and once Alex was able to cross, Ethan said it was time to go to the gun range. Andy was so excited she started to rush off. Clint yelled after her about her heart monitor.
"Way to ruin my fun dick!" She yelled at him as she stopped in her tracks.
"We just don't want you to pass out on us is all. I think Lynn would have our heads if you end up in the hospital again." Brian said smiling coming up to her.
"Come on guys, we got a ways to go." Ethan said and he took the lead.
"This is DEFINITELY better than yesterday!" Andy said with a smile. Michael and David came up to her and put an arm around her. This was day was going to be a day she wouldn't forget.

"You have GOT to be kidding me!" Lynn said with a laugh as she sat blind folded and tied to a chair.
"You won the game, you get the grand prize!" Angel said with a smirk. The doorbell rang and they all looked at each other.
"I wonder who that could be." Wendy said with a smirk and went to the door.
She came back to the others with a police officer, "Um guys. This officer says we got a noise complaint." She said trying not to smirk.
The police officer looked around at everyone, "Ladies. Your neighbors say that you all have been a little too loud for their liking. I may have to take you in."
He sauntered throughout the room and finally stopping in front of Lynn. He turned back to the women and smiled, "But I think I'll let this slide for now."
Angel turned on the stereo and the music started to play. She went up to Lynn and took off her blind fold. When her eyes adjusted she saw the guy's butt in her face as he started to seductively dance in front of her.
"OH MY GOD!" She said with a laugh. She struggled against her bounds trying to get free.
"Pay back's a bitch!" Angel yelled over the cheers and the music.
The man turned around and started to slowly unbutton his shirt. Lynn shook her head as she watched him strip. She couldn't believe this was happening. She loved her friends, but this was a little too much for her liking. Everyone was cheering around her as the man kept stripping and dancing along with the music.
He came up really close to Lynn and started to slowly untie the bounds on her ankles. Once they were undone he placed his hands gently on her knees and spread her legs. She threw her head back laughing in embarrassment as he slowly made his way up to her neck.
He made his way back down and stood up and started to undo his pants. The cheers grew louder as he slowly started to pull down his pants. Lynn's face was so red at this point she could feel the heat on her cheeks.
He was fully out of his pants and now all he had on was his thong like underwear, his socks, and shoes. He smiled at Lynn and continued to dance around her.
"Please tell me you're getting this!" Shey said to Lisa and she nodded.
"You bet your ass I am!" Lisa said with a big smile recording the whole thing on her cell phone.
"Andy better not see this!" Lynn shouted and everyone just laughed.
"Oh this is such gold!" Lauren said with a smile.
"Andy's calling!" Wendy said laughing. She left the room and answered her phone.
"HEY!" She nearly yelled into the phone.
"Whoa! Calm down, everything okay?"
"Yeah, sorry, just having fun. How about you? everything okay?"
"Yeah, we're leaving the gun range. Just doing my check in with you like we talked about. Everything's okay. Heart alarm didn't go off, and we're on the way to the bar."
There were cheers coming from the other room and Wendy had to close the door.
"Seriously what are y'all doing?" Andy asked.
"Never mind that. Okay sounds like you're doing good. Nothing too major happening. Did you take your medicine?"
"No, we ended up drinking sooner than I thought so no I didn't. But the guys have been awesome making sure I'm okay. Is Lynn around? Can I talk to her?"
Wendy tried not to laugh, "She's kind of tied up at the moment. I actually gotta get going. But we'll see you later tonight. Love you bye." She hung up before Andy could say bye. She rushed back into the room and laughed.
The man untied Lynn's hands and started to run her hands down his body. She laughed at Lynn's scared expression and grabbed her glass off the table.
"How long do we have him for?" Wendy asked Angel and she checked her watch.
"Til about seven. It's only five, so we have a while. TO LYNN AND ANDY!" She yelled and the women repeated her last few words. They raised their glasses and started to dance to the music.
"I NEVER wanted my wife so much right now!" Lynn yelled over the music. The man smiled at her as the song ended. He took her hand and kissed the back of it. He gave her a wink and stood up straight. A new song started and he looked at all the women.
"Okay, who's next?" He asked with a smile. Lynn got out of the chair faster than anyone has ever seen and Angel was quick to take her spot.
"Me, me, me, me, me!" She said taking a big sip of her drink and waited for him to start dancing.
"You're a married woman! What are you doing?!" Brittany said with a laugh.
"Oh shush! I can still have my fun! Brian knows about this!" She said and the man smiled at her as he started to dance to the music.
Wendy pulled Lynn to the kitchen and laughed, "I'm sorry, it was Angel's idea. She just wanted you to have some fun. I think this is her way of payback for her party."
Lynn waved her off, "It's okay. I figured she would do something like this. But I was NOT expecting a guy."
Wendy smiled and started to pour herself a drink, "It sucks you can't drink with us. I understand why. How did your and my parents take the news?"
She leaned against the counter and crossed her arms, "Well at first they were shocked, because they didn't think we were going to do it this soon. To be honest, we weren't planning on doing it this soon, but it just happened. Took us a good four months to finally come to a decision. Andy was really particular about everything." Lynn gave out a small chuckle.
"Yeah, she's like that. She likes structure. She has to have a routine every day. Like her morning routine. Wake up, push ups,-"
"Brush teeth, coffee, get on with the day." They both finished and laughed. Wendy stood next to her and put her arm her sister-in law and smiled.
"I sure hope you know what you signed up for. The sports, the structure, the in and out of hospitals."
Lynn nodded, "Oh I know. When the Winter Olympics were going on, she was constantly on her phone or laptop trying to watch live feeds. Never knew she was into cross country skiing until then. Or curling for that matter. She tried to explain it to me, but I never got it. As for the structure, I DEFINITELY know! Even on tour, Sundays she would kick us out of the tour bus, so she could clean. Mentally prepared myself for the hospitals. So I know what I signed up for." She smiled and Wendy gave her a gentle squeeze.
"Good! Cause she's a handful most times. She does like to have fun. Just remind her sometimes life is about fun, not all seriousness."
Lynn nodded, "I will. Sometimes she has fun too. I told you about that Nerf gun war we had right?"
"UH NO!" Wendy said taking a step back looking at her.
"Well then, let me tell you what happened that night." Lynn smiled at her.
*****************************************************************************
"You know I normally suck at pool." Andy said smiling as she straightened up from the pool table. She sank the eight ball in and won the game.
"What changed? I'm normally kicking your ass right about now!" Clint said shaking his head. He grabbed the triangle rack and started to rack up the balls again.
Andy shrugged, "Not sure. I guess being on tour I had to find some way to occupy myself. Sometimes we would have extended stays and I got cabin fever so I would go to the local bar and just play. Guess I've gotten better without knowing it." She smiled walking back over to the table.
After the gun range, which Andy didn't want to leave. They went to a bar just down the road from the range. Zac, and Taylor meet up with them and they all gathered around the pool table with their drinks. They took turns playing one another, and so far Andy was the one to beat.
"So what can you guys tell me about Lynn that I should know about. Let me rephrase, what I might not already know. " She said with a smile looking at David, Justin, Brian, and Alex.
"Well, she's a perfectionist when it comes to creating songs. She wants them to sound just right. When she was editing 'Anyone Else,' she would find the smallest thing. Even we wouldn't catch it." Brian said taking a sip of his beer.
"She's kinda like you when it comes to writing. Always has a notebook and pen. She just goes. Sometimes even on her hand when she can't find a piece of paper to write on." David mentioned.
"She loves the paranormal, just like you. She's into things like that. Like when we were recording our second album, it was in a haunted church. She set up some stuff and would leave. She came back the next day and things would be out of place." Alex said with a smile.
"She tends to get lost in herself. Like when she stresses out. But she'll always come back. Just gotta let her be for a little while and then she'll talk to you. Don't ever ask her what's wrong when she's silent, she'll get even more pissed off. Just let her cool off and then she come and talk to you." Justin said giving Andy's shoulder a gentle squeeze.
"You and her have a lot in common. More so than you both think." Alex said.
"You think so?" Andy nodded and the four of them nodded.
"Yeah, you two shut down, get lost in your own little worlds, but at the same time you both have big hearts. You both care about your family and friends. You both love what you do and you're both positive no matter how bad things get." Brian said.
Andy smiled she was just about to say something when someone called her name. She turned around and saw two women around her age followed by a man looking at little glum. She smiled recognizing them.
"Dad said you would be here. I mean why wouldn't you be?" The blonde woman said, as the other woman gave Andy a hug.
"Yeah, well. Only bar in town. Plus I'm away from dad, figured I could tell him where I am just in case." Andy said looking at the sandy blonde man.
"Hey, Ross, long time no see." She said with a smile. He just gave her a weak one and gave her a quick hug.
"Oh, lighten up Ross. This is a happy day!" Chelsea said punching her brother in the arm.
"Yeah, Ross. Andy's getting married! What's everyone drinking? We'll get the next round." Megan said hooking her arm through her brother's.
"Oh, let me introduce you to everyone." Andy said. The guys came over and they all greeted each other. Ethan and Andy gave each other a look when Ross mentioned how good Andy looks. After everyone was introduced the three went to the bar to get another round.
"What's his problem?" Michael asked coming up to her, "I'm getting a weird vibe."
Andy turned to her friends and motioned for them to come close to her. She turned back to the back just to make sure they wouldn't hear her.
"His dad is Mr. Davis. Turns out he had a HUGE crush on me growing up. Mr. Davis even said that Ross wanted to marry me one day. He's upset that I'm a lesbian and that I'm getting married. Well he doesn't know I'm already married. So-"
"You're what?!"
They all heard and turned to see a shocked expression on Ross's face. He slammed the glasses he was carrying down on a table spilling some of the liquid and stormed out. Megan and Chelsea looked at each other and rolled their eyes. They came up to the table and started to pass out the drinks.
"I'm sorry Andy. I guess he's still not over the fact that you found someone." Megan said with a sigh.
Andy shrugged, "It's all good. I mean, I always thought of him as a brother anyway. Nothing more, nothing less. I honestly never knew he saw me that way. But thinking back on it, I remember mentioning a boyfriend and he wouldn't talk to me."
"Wait a second, you had boyfriends?" Zac asked and Andy laughed with a nod.
"Well it was high school. So yeah, but I never had sex with a guy."
"You know when you came out, he swore up and down that you just haven't met the right guy, and that he was the right guy for you all along." Chelsea said rolling her eyes.
"Of course he would say something like that. I've heard that line since I was nineteen. Didn't believe he would be one of those guys."
"You're up Andy." Clint said walking up to them. Andy smiled and went to the pool table.
"Should we be worried about your brother? I mean, after what happened to Andy a couple of years ago, we're hoping to avoid anything like that." Alex said.
Megan waved him off, "He's harmless. But, honestly I would keep a close eye on him at the wedding. You would think after all these years he would give up, but he hasn't. Chelsea and I will keep an eye on him, but just in case can you guys help out?"
"Oh for sure. Maybe we can talk to Mark about security or something." Justin mentioned.
"Possible. We have Trey, he's a big guy, so is Cody. So maybe those two can help out." Brandon said and everyone nodded.
"Do you know if he's going to the press? Because if this gets out, well it's gonna be a frieze." Brian said.
"Let me go see if he's out there. I kinda want to hear about this. We had no idea she was already married. But give me a few minutes." Chelsea said as she walked out of the bar.
"Last thing we need is for this wedding to get ruined for them. After Nicole and Vicki, they don't need anymore of it." Brian told them and they all nodded.
"I read about it. I was so mad about what they did, I tried contacting Andy but couldn't get a hold of her. Until a few articles came out about her being in Ireland for a vacation. I guess that's where she found out about it." Megan told them.
"Oh that was a fun vacation alright. That's when we found out about everything. DURING our vacation." Ethan said.
"You know it's finally nice to meet you Ethan. Andy talked about you a lot. Said you keep her grounded." She said smiling at Ethan.
"What can I say, she kept me in line. But she talked about you three all time when she would come back from her hunting trips. I'm glad I finally got to meet you all." He smiled and raised his glass, "To Andy and Lynn."
"To Andy and Lynn." Everyone repeated just as Chelsea was dragging in a hurt looking Ross. Before they reached the table Andy saw Chelsea talking intensely to him.
Megan followed her gaze and then turned back to Andy, "We always wondered why he never had any girlfriends, or even hookups. He talked about you all the time. Even had his life planned out with you."
Andy turned to her friend with wide eyes, "Seriously?! Your dad did say he took really hard."
Chelsea and Ross finally joined them and Ross came up to Andy. She knew he was putting on a fake smile.
"I'm sorry for the way I acted. It just took me by surprise is all. I'm happy for you. I can't wait til the wedding."
Andy nodded and held out her hand for him to shake, "Thank you Ross. I'm glad I get to share my special day with your family."
He nodded and shook her hand. Andy would have hugged him but after what his sisters told her, she was skeptical. They let go of each other's hand and went back over to the group.
"Looks like I beat Clint. Again. Who's next?" She said with a smile looking at her friends. Two of her worlds came together and she couldn't be happier.
********************************************************************************
"Thank you so much! We had a blast!" Erika said escorting the man to the door. He smiled and looked at her.
"You ladies were a delight. I don't think I ever had so much fun during a job. Thank you for everything." He smiled at her and took out a pen and a piece of paper.
"But, I never got to give you a dance. If you're ever in need of one let me know. Or if you just wanna get some dinner. Here's my number." He said with a wink giving her a piece of paper. She blushed taking it and thanked him one more time. He gave her a smile and a wink as he left and she closed the door.
"That didn't just happen." She said to herself as she walked back into the living room where the women were talking about the dancer. Angel's knowing eyes looked at her and smirked.
"What's up with you? You seem to be in a daze."
"Um, he just gave me his number." Erika said and everyone started to talk at once.
"Are you serious?!"
"Get it girl!"
"No way!"
"He didn't even give you a dance!"
"Are you going to call him?!"
"You better tie him down!"
"Okay! Okay! I get it. Just wow! Didn't think I still got it!" Erika said looking around. Melissa came up to her and took her hand leading her over to the couch.
"Are you kidding me?! Erika you're beautiful! I bet most women would want killer blue eyes like yours!"
"Not to mention your career." Kara said a little slurred.
"You're one of those women that can have it all. A good career, a good man, and a family some day. Don't let anything stop you." Lisa said.
"Melissa how do you do it? With Myke I mean." Erica asked her friend.
"To be honest Andy kind of helped me on that front. Myke and I have been married going on fifteen years. But I kept putting my work first. I thought we were going to get divorced. When I met Andy and Ethan for the first time, it was bad. We don't have kids. I want kids, but I kept telling him I wasn't ready. I never knew I was using that as an excuse." She let out a small sigh and then continued.
"Well, when I met Andy in Georgia after the whole Robin thing. She gave advice about how to reconnect with him. Get to know him again. Get to know his hobbies. Spend time with him. Send him little text messages letting him know I'm thinking about him. Stand up for him. Show him off at parties and events. I went back home that night, cooked him dinner. We talked and I slowly started to be part of his life again. We're actually trying for a baby now." She said with a smile.
"What?! Calling dibs on Godmother!" Kara said, raising her hand. Everyone laughed.
"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Kim asked.
Melissa shrugged, "As long as he or she is healthy and happy that's all I care about. I'm scared don't get me wrong. I don't know how to take care of a kid, but everyone said it will come naturally."
"This little baby is gonna be spoiled to hell. I mean look who's going to be around him or her." Lauren said smiling using her hand to show her everyone.
Melissa laughed and then turned back to Erika and took her and in hers, "Just go with the flow. If you two click, then you click. If not, then there's a guy out there just waiting for you."
"Thank you. Thank you all of you. I gotta say though, we all are here together because of Lynn and Andy. Lynn brought us Andy and Ethan. Andy and Ethan brought us to everyone. I can't believe how close we all became the last year." Erika said smiling.
"I think part of Andy being gone helped with that. We were all there for each other, I guess to fill that void we all felt." Kara said with a smile and everyone nodded her head.
"She has this way of bringing people together. She's even friends with people who don't like each other. But she's careful not to bring up their names when she hangs out with them." Shey said and Wendy nodded.
"She doesn't like half of my friends. Every time we would go out I would mention who would be at the bar or club or wherever we were. She would go, but stay clear of anyone she didn't like." Wendy explained.
"It's hard to believe Andy doesn't like anyone. She seems so likable. Good hearted too. But she does have her bad side. Which I've seen." Brittany said.
"Oh the first time she met me she got really protective about her privacy." Kara chimed in.
"Or how about that night I surprised you all in Boston. I swear I saw flames coming through her head." Melissa said with a small laugh.
"Okay in our defense though, you showed up at two in the morning." Lynn pointed out.
"Hey! In MY defense, I was worried about you all! I didn't know who they were. I didn't know if they were going to use you!"
"I give you that!" Lynn said and everyone laughed. Just then the door opened and everyone looked confused.
"I'm sorry Mr. Davis but your son is uninvited. After what he did tonight, I'm sorry I can't have it at my wedding. Everyone else is invited of course, just not Ross." Andy said speaking into her phone and made a beeline to kitchen.
"I'm gonna beat the SHIT out of him AGAIN the next time I fucking see him! Fucking prick!" Ethan said nearly yelling as he rushed behind Andy.
"Yeah, Andy said to call you. How soon can you get here?" Alex was talking on his phone.
"I'm gonna break his fucking JAW next time! Fucking asshole!" Brandon said roughly taking off his jacket as he rushed in.
"What's going on?" Crystal asked.
"I don't know. I thought they weren't supposed to be here for another couple of hours." Hayley said.
"If he EVEN THINKS about touching her again I swear to God I will RIP HIM TO SHREDS!" Michael shouted going to the kitchen.
"Did he NOT hear what Andy was telling him! It's guys like him that give us a FUCKING BAD NAME!" Clint yelled following them.
"He was so out of line! You would think he would have gotten over her by now! Drinking is NOT a fucking excuse! I don't fucking care! You don't touch ANY woman like that!" Brian said coming in after.
"Did you see the way Andy handled him though?! Remind me not to piss her off!" Zac said rushing in.
"I know! He had like a good fifty pounds on her and she just lifted him like he was nothing!" Taylor said after Zac.
"I swear to all that is Holy I will hurt him even worse than he already is! I can't believe the bastard called for his friends to back him!" Justin yelled walking in.
"At least the bar isn't pressing charges against us. The fucker started it in the first place! Couldn't take fucking no for an answer!" David said slamming the door and rushed to the kitchen all the guys were.
"What the fuck?!" Angel said. The women looked at each other and then they heard the backdoor slammed. They all stood up and rushed to the kitchen. They were all looking out the windows trying to hear what the guys and Andy were saying. Lynn reached over and opened the windows. Now they could hear them.
"Andy what he did was NOT okay. You have to realize that." Ethan said as Andy was pacing back and forth.
"We gave the cops our statement, and the bar isn't pressing charges. The owner saw the whole thing. Even when she told him and his friends to leave they wouldn't." Clint said.
"You took those hits like a champ though." Taylor said with a chuckle and they glared at him.
"What?! It's true."
"Okay, but how the fuck am I gonna explain our faces to Lynn?! The wedding is in a few days and we're all going to look like this!" Andy said pointing to her face.
Back in the house the doorbell rang and Katie rushed to it. She opened the door and there stood Dr. Samson with her medical bag.
"Hi, um, I'm sorry, we're having a little crisis right now." Katie said and Dr. Samson smiled.
"I know, I'm Andrea's doctor. Alex called asking me to come and make a house call. He didn't explain why. Just told me to come to this address."
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry. Come in. They all gathered in the backyard. Come in! I'm Katie Andy's cousin." She said opening the door a little wider.
"Thank you. Nice to meet you Katie. I remember Andrea telling me about you and your family. She was so excited. I'm so sorry about your brother." Dr. Samson said stepping into the house and Katie closed the door behind them.
"Thank you for your kind words. I'll take you to the back. Us girls are gathered around trying to figure out what happened. They all just kind of rushed in cussing up a storm." Katie said as Dr. Samson followed her.
Once they got to the kitchen Katie explained everything and Dr. Samson went to the backyard. After a few minutes of her being out there, they watched as they all started to follow her in.
"Go to the living room! Go!" Angel said and they all rushed to the living room. When they all were there they heard the backdoor open and muffled talking. They heard the scrapping of the chairs and more muffled talking.
"Okay, let's give it a few more minutes and then go in." Shey said.
"Fuck that!" Wendy said as she got up and went to the kitchen. It wasn't long until they heard, "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOUR FACES?!" Wendy yelled.
The women looked at each other and rushed into the kitchen. When they saw the guys and Andy, they couldn't believe it.
