Winds of Destiny(Pt10)
Nursing a stiff bottle of blood wine, Sav was lounging on his balcony of the villa, over looking the pool. The unseasonably warm day gave way to a chill in the air as the sun dipped below the horizon. Fog was slowly rolling over the river behind the villa, blotting out the lights on the far bank. His eyes traveled to the warning sound of a ships horn on the water as it encountered that fog. It wouldn’t be long before the shipping lanes on the river would be shut down, to avoid floating vessels from colliding with each other.
Sighting heavily Sav tried to scrub the tiredness from his eyes. He knew it wouldn’t do any good, not even the strong liquor mixed in his drink could stomp out the tiredness, or chase away the sadness he felt. Once again the need to go home pulled strongly at his insides. ‘Go home, forget the last few years, forget all of it,’ screamed in his mind. ‘No, I can’t forget the painful losses. Will never forget Thomas or Tracey.’ Banish everything else...just go home.’
Leaning his head back, he let the sounds of the night invade his mind. The crickets chirping to find a mate, something scurried around on the garden, probably chasing the crickets, then light breeze ruffling the leaves, to the faint sounds of voices along the river bank. Peaceful, calming sounds helped him to relax his mind, to push away voices, images he didn’t want to see or hear. All to soon a familiar presents approached, standing in the shadows, only to move closer.
“Come with me.”
Without looking up at him, Sav replied, “Where?”
“We are going out for the evening.”
“I’m not in the mood to go out.”
“Indulge me Richard.”
“I can indulge you here.”
“We are going out.” Nick said more firmly.
Pulling in an annoyed breath, Sav shot from his seat. “Yes master.”
“Change first, something causal.” Nick called after him when he disappeared into their room.
“As you wish, master.”
Nick wasn’t going to let his mood spur him into anger or demanding stance that he always flew into when Sav was being difficult. Instead he would remain upbeat, keeping his responses neutral, not jabbed with sarcasm as he has done before. Following Sav inside, Nick waited for him in the sitting room. A short time later, he joined him, standing there waiting as Nick eyed him up and down.
“Approval.”
Nick barely smiled, “It will do.”
“Still not good enough for you.” Sav huffed as he breezed past him and out the door that Nick was holding open.
It was a relatively quiet ride as Nick drove them a short distance outside city. When Nick tried to engage him in conversation, Sav’s replies were short, curt, almost like he didn’t want to talk at all. But Nick kept trying until he pulled into the car park beside the building.
Sav leaned forward to read the brightly lit sign. ‘Monarch Club’ several animated colorful butterflies fluttered around the green neon letters.
“Is this a club for butterfly collectors?”
Nick chuckled beside him. “No, it is not.”
“Why are we here?” Sav leaned back and looked over at him.
“Indulgence.” Nick cheerfully replied and slapped Sav’s thigh a few times before getting out. “Come on.”
Sav watched him circle to the front of the car, stopping to wait on him. When Sav made no move to exit the car, Nick rolled his eyes and rounded the side to his door, yanking it open to gesture in a sweeping motion of his arm. “Come on.”
With a huff, Sav swung his tall frame out and stomped to the entrance, Nick following close behind him.
After paying the entrance fee, both men stood inside the crowded club, music blared from the many speakers inside the walls, flashing, spinning, strobe type multi-colored lights bounced around. Combined with the loud music, the lights were almost enough to give a normal person a headache, if they stay to long within the walls. As with most clubs, tables and booths were scattered around, the dance floor was slithering with moving bodies.
Nick leaned closer to Sav. “Find us a table, I’ll get drinks for us.”
Sav nodded his reply. Carefully making his way around the crowd, he could feel many eyes on him, a few he made eye contact with, clearly getting the signals those eyes relayed...to share a blood kiss. He stopped short as a soft hand landed on his arm, jerking his gaze to that hand, he look to the face it belong to. The petite blond haired woman smiled suggestively up at him. Gently pulling his arm free, he shook his head, declining her invitation. Returning to his search for a booth, he had to turn down several more invitations from other vampires, even a few mortals that approached him. His quest to find a seat ended when he circled around to the back wall of booths. Sliding into the seat to the darkest area, he waited for Nick.
Ten minutes later a smiling Nick scooted into the booth beside him. Placing the bottle of blood wine down and sliding Sav’s filled glass to him.
“Very busy in here.” Nick spoke loudly.
Sav only nodded his answer and sipped his drink, watching the people move around the club. Nick quickly refilled his glass when he finished the first round.
“Why are we here?” Sav finally leaned over to ask when yet another person stopped at their booth.
Turning to him Nick smiled. “To indulge ourselves in the local cuisine.”
Sav rolled his eyes and leaned back to which Nick slide closer, placing his hand on Sav’s thigh. “Anyone here spark your interest?”
Sav could only stare at him.
Leaning close to his ear, Nick used a seductive tone to tell him. “I want to watch you take as many as you want, to do whatever you want to them.” Pulling back, he caught Sav’s steady gaze.
Moments later, Sav just scooted away from him again. Resigning himself to lean back to just watch the crowd and sip his drink.
Nick pulled in a deep breath, slowly blowing it, his foot tapped to the upbeat music, watching the bodies on the dance floor. He didn’t know how long they had been sitting there, very little conversation passed between them. Nick would glance at Sav on occasion to see the board expression or staring off at nothing. No interest what so ever to dip into all the luring blood walking around. Even the invitation to dance went ignored.
Sav slid back in the booth, popping the cork on the third bottle of good blood wine, he filled both of their glass. Getting comfortable again to slowly sip the liquid or letting his gaze travel around the room. Nick thought he would be lose enough to partake in the buffet laid before him….needless to say...he didn’t show any interest.
Sav was propped on the table when Nick leaned over again. “What about that one? She smells good, even from here.”
Sav looked to where Nick had indicated, eyeing the slim brunette, her large breast bouncing to the beat of music, hips gyrating around seductively. She looked in their direction to catch his eye, her hands roamed over her body, then through her hair, eyes never leaving his.
Sav rolled his eyes away, slamming his hand down on the table, startling Nick who questionably looked at him. Scooting and bouncing from the seat, Sav stalk over to her, leaned in close to whisper in her ear. She pulled back to smile up at him.
Nick sat back to watch him dance with the attractive woman, bodies grinding against each other, at one point her hands landed on Sav’s hips, digging her fingers in to pull him closer. Dipping his head down, his lips and tongue traveled down her neck, moments later his lips landed on hers.
Nick shifted in his seat, feeling the desire trickle through their bond. He even noticed Sav had relaxed more once he gave in to what his body was fighting over. He noticed another woman approach them, her hand touching the first woman’s shoulder, they smiled at each other in recognition.
Four songs in when a slow musical piece started, Sav pulled both women closer, deeply kissing one, then moving to the other. Hands roamed over withering bodies as one woman tilted her head back giving Sav access to her throat. From his vantage point in the booth, it was unclear to Nick if he was taking her blood, the answer came when Sav moved to her mouth, then gave the same attention to the other woman.
The song ended and the trio made their to the table, smiles of hello to Nick as the women sat down, both of them scooting closer to him. Sav grabbed his drink, draining the red liquid, returning the glass to the table.
He smiled at the women until his gaze fell on Nick. “They will do whatever you ask, have fun with them. I’m going back to the villa.” With that, Sav spun on his feet, quickly leaving before Nick could stop him.
Nick could only stare at the empty space where he was standing mere seconds before, until the woman one the right of him slid her hand over his groin, the soft whisper of her voice in his ear. He finally turned his attention to them, shutting out any attempt connect with Sav. He would indulge himself alone with them tonight.
Mean-while, Sav made his way down a few blocks from the club, looking at the numbers on the house, he glanced up and down the street before bounding up the steps to knock on the door.
When it swung open, Sav was greeted by the scantly clad woman he had briefly spoken to in the club out of Nick’s sight. He had caught her eye several times through out the night as she traversed around the dance floor. It wasn’t until he offered to get the third bottle of blood wine when he had the chance to speak with her. With anther glance out into the night, Sav crossed the threshold of her home, the door closing softly behind him.

Shortly before sunrise, Sav landed softly in the shadows of the rented villa. He listened to the sounds around him, noting Crystal’s steady heartbeat while she slept in her room. Smiling to himself knowing she had a great time earlier with Rachel at a party with people closer to their own age. He didn’t feel or get a sense for Nick close by, that was still miles away...hopefully enjoying himself with women from the club. Making his way around the pool house, then the pool, he quietly slipped into their room, stripping off his clothes, tossing them in hamper for the house keeper to wash later that day. Padding barefoot over the cool tiled floor he flipped the water on for the shower. Although he had taken a shower before leaving the other house after indulging in soft womanly curves, he wanted to wash the smell of her shampoo and soap off. No need to give Nick a reason to be angry with him after the night with him at the club and his attempts to ‘watch him’.
Flinging the water from his hair, he stepped out of the shower to dry off. Quickly brushing his teeth of the last taste of her, Sav flipped the light off, going the short distance the bed he slid under the blankets.
He was just drifting off to sleep when the slight deep of the mattress woke him, the arm that slid over his waist and the body that molded to his back. Soft lips danced across his shoulder, Nick settled behind him.
