This is a work of fiction. I do not know the celebrity I am writing about. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
12.Don't let me get me.
The whole week I was waiting it seemed like everything I did, I did with shaking hands. It had been months since i`d seen Ryan or even talked to him, and I had practicly pushed him out of every thought, but in a rush, everything came back and by the day I was standing outside the airport holding a sign, every bone in my body felt numb.
He had no idea it would be me, no one did, not even Brendon, and I expect he'd forgotten every single emotion we'd shared, since his new girlfriend had arrived. Or, fiance, from what I hear now.
"Brendon!" I yelled, as they all walked out of the airport.
"Missa?" He hugged me. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, You know i`m Pete's PA,so he sent me to pick you guys up, come on."
Ryan was the last to exit the building, and he was the only one not to say a word to me. His eyes avoided mine everytime I glance in his direction. This would be akward.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay, you guys will be staying here." I said, pointing upstairs.
Brendon and Spencer ran upstairs, and from the noises I heard I could tell they were fighting over a room. I laughed, just like old time. Then I looked at Ryan, hanging back in the corner.
Well, almost.
"When is Pete going to get here?" Brendon asked, sitting down across from me.
"Tomorrow, exactly like I said in the car."
"Do you live here?"
"Yeah."
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Sort of." I paused. "Why do you want to know, Brendon?"
"Because your my sister and it gives me all types of nosiness."
"No it doesn't."
I stared around me for a moment, looking at how much everyone had changed, then walked upstairs into my bedroom. I lay back on my bed, closing my eyes for a moment, until I heard a cough from the doorway.
Ryan.
"Can I help you?" I asked, sitting up.
"Uh...There aren't any other rooms." He said, his voice shaking and barely above a whisper.
He kept staring at his shoes and looking at me only for a second.
This is not the same Ryan Ross I knew.
"Oh, I forgot about that, you can share with me if you like."
I walked over to the bed on the other side of the room, pushing magazines and clothes off of it for room. He nodded and sat his bags down on the end, then sat down and stared at the wall.
"So..How have you been?" He asked in the same tone.
"I've been great, it's so much better than Vegas, but I kind of get homesick alot. How about you?"
"Oh, wonderful, just writing songs and spending as much time with Michelle as I can."
With every word his voice got lower, until he was whispering.
"Michelle?"
"My fiance, Brendon might have told you about her."
"Oh, he mentioned a girl. I suppose you two are very happy, i`m glad."
"So, you mentioned it earlier, you have a boyfriend?"
"No, not really, I just wanted Brendon off of my back. I don't want one, i've learned they're not worth the trouble."
"Oh."
He glanced at me and made an odd face, then stood up and walked out of the room leaving me alone. Something about Ryan was different. He was quieter and seemed alot more shy. Maybe after he's been here a while, he`ll loosen up, although Chicago has nothing on Vegas.
I walked out of my room, staring down the stairs into the kitchen and watching everyone.
This would be interesting, painfully interesting...
