Update 3/3 this weekend. Next weekend should be the end, if I play my cards right. This is kind of bad... this chapter, I mean. You be the judge.
*~*~*~*~*
Alexis was first up the next morning. She quickly started to make breakfast and waited for someone to get up. When no one did, she figured the best one to wake up first was Tre. She wanted to tell him how much she had thought about him, how much she thought about coming back. How much she missed him. How much she, dare she think it, loved him.
And she truly, truly did. She loved him so much. He had saved her from certain death. Jake was awful, Tre picked her up.
She stood at his bunk, wondering how to wake him up. She breathed slowly, trying to calm herself down. How was he going to react? Was he going to freak out, for good reasons, like he had last night? Would he be mad at her? What if he was? What would she do?
Alexis sighed, walking back into the kitchen. She couldn’t do it. She wouldn’t. She would wait until he woke up.
When Mike was the first to rise, she got impatient and walked over to his bunk, walked back and sat down, blushing at Mike’s laughing at her. It’s a good thing Billie wasn’t out here… he’d probably call her a crazy teeny bopper, like he always did. But he was playing around. She hoped.
“Alexis, go on. He’ll be ecstatic to see you!” He said, ushering her into the bunk spot. She gritted her teeth, peeking in the bunk. She saw him sleeping peacefully, a smile on his lips.
‘Aww… he must be thinking of me…’ She thought, pulling the curtain back. She caught sight of a tangled mess of blonde curls lolled across his bare chest and then a make-up smeared face and a pale skinny crack body and gasped. “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!” She screamed, Tre sitting up immediately and hitting his head on the ceiling of the bunk. Alexis stepped back and fell into Billie’s bunk.
“Ally! I can explain!” He begged. The girl in the bunk just gaped at him.
“But Tre-baby!” She whined. He pushed her over to grab the blanket and cover himself up with it. Mike had come running and saw the scene and pushed Tre back in his bunk.
“ALLY! Wait!” He yelled, running after her. Her tears hadn’t come yet, but she couldn’t speak. The lump in her throat was so great she thought she was going to suffocate. “NO! Don’t leave me!”
Billie had appeared behind him, confusion written on his face until he saw Alexis standing next to Mike hyperventilating. He cringed and tried to walk back to his bunk, trying to go unnoticed. He didn’t.
“YOU!” She screamed, suddenly finding her voice and lunging for Billie. “YOU TALKED HIM INTO IT YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!” She screamed, hitting him into the wall and kicking his shins until he fell to the floor.
She turned to Tre, disgust written on her features. “We were in a trial separation, Tre. You said that’s how you lost Claudia. I’m starting to think that you were the one that caused it.” She said, pushing him into the wall. “I hope your breakfast burns.”
She exited the bus and ran across the parking lot to Starbucks, settling in with a triple thick cherry chocolate mocha latte to calm her nerves. Her tears hadn’t come, but by the time she was done with the drink, they started falling like Niagara falls. Soon her shirt was drenched halfway up. The waitress came by and tried to talk to her, but she would have none of that. To try and console her, they gave her another drink on the house. When another customer came by and sat across from her, offering a hand and an open ear, she spewed everything.
From her relationship with a rockstar, even though she was underage, to her pregnancy scare, and the separation, and him cheating. The other woman was one of the few kind ones that Alexis had come across.
“I’m very sorry, dear.” She said. When Alexis was leaving, she gave the woman a hug thanks. When she got out into the parking lot, Jake had come running towards her.
“Alex!” He said, coming to a stop before her. “Everyone’s been looking for you everywhere! I knew you would go to Starbucks so I told them you hated it!”
“Thank you so much, Jake.” She said, pulling him into a hug.
“So what happened?” He asked, steering her back inside Starbucks.
“Tre cheated on me.” She said simply.
“I’m sorry. About us, about everything.” He said, holding her hand. The woman from before was listening and smacked him upside the head.
“It’s not him, Naomi! This is my other ex, the one I told you about.” She smacked him again. “Okay, maybe he did deserve one of those.”
“Anyway, so you got drunk, had sex and thought you were pregnant by either him or me?” He asked, clearing it up. She nodded. “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay, it’s not your fault Jake. I’m kind of glad you cheated, it let me know the world isn’t so nice and frosting covered as I thought it was.” She said. He nodded.
“Well then… you’re welcome.” He said. She smiled. “There’s always an empty spot on the Thrasher’s bus if you need a place to sleep tonight, or until you decide to leave.”
“Thanks. I will take you up on that offer.” She said. Mike entered the store and went to the counter, getting a light coffee. When he turned around and saw Alexis, he sighed, a heavy weight lifting off of his chest.
“Alexis! Thank God!” He said, sitting next to her, kissing her hand. “I thought you were already gone!”
“I’m not going back with you Mike. I’m going with Jake.” She said, pulling out of his hands. He got his coffee and downed it within a couple minutes.
“I’m not expecting you to. I already knew you were here, so I was the one to check. Tre is distraught.”
“I don’t care.” She said, feeling her heart break a little more at the mention of his name. “He doesn’t know what pain in your heart feels like…”
“He says it was the biggest mistake of his life.” He said, not trying to convince her, merely informing her. “Now that I know for sure you’re leaving tour, here’s my number in case you need anything.” It was written on a Starbucks napkin in black lipstick, the only thing Alexis had with her that would write. “But I should get back. They’ll probably come looking for me. I’ll tell them I didn’t find you.”
“Thank you so much.” She said, giving him a kiss on his cheek. “I think we should go too.”
With that, they left and went back to the buses to spend the remainder of the day. Night approached and engulfed them once more and someone came knocking. It was Billie. “Alexis? TRE!” He yelled, sticking his head out of the door.
“Shit! Fuck Billie! I fucking hate you sometimes!” She said, scrambling around. Within a heartbeat, Tre appeared.
“A-Ally.” He stuttered, taking a step forward. She stepped back, not wanting him to touch her. She knew if he did, she couldn’t leave. Not now, not ever. “I’m so sorry… I-I don’t know what came over me.. I was lonely. I-I needed something!”
“Tre, no.” She said, grabbing her packed bags. He saw this and his eyes widened.
“No, no, no, no, no!” He stammered over and over.
“Tre, I can’t take this. I loved you.”
“I love you too!” He said, hoping it would make up for everything. They now had a full audience, even some people she didn’t know. She looked all around at them, and back down at Tre, who was on his knees. She shook her head, taking a step past him. He shook his head and got up off of his knees. “Ally, I love you, don’t leave me.”
She turned to pierce him with a dark glare, one she perfected a long time ago. With one last sentence said, she was leaving. “I’m leaving you tonight.”

I hated doing it, but it was just right.
:( I love you, Tre.
