The day after Kelly’s last tour date.

Kelly and Carrie haven’t spoken to each since that awful day. Kelly called her once a day, but Carrie never answered. She finally gave up closer to the end of the tour. Kelly had a hard time through out the rest of her tour. She cried every night. In Irvine she couldn’t take it anymore and wrote a cry to God. *I have to see her.* Carrie tried to forget about Kelly, but she cried every night as well. She wrote songs that she kept hidden, but they expressed how she felt.*Why can’t I just forget about you. Why’d you have to break my heart*

“Hi I need a ticket to Nashville as soon as possible.”

“There’s a flight leaving in about 20 minutes,” the teller told her.

“I’ll take it!” Kelly made her way to the gate and boarded the plane. *I’m going to make this right* Her flight landed and she made sure that she had a car in Nashville. She found her car and was off to see Carrie. She pulled up a drive and came to a small country home. She walked up to the door and knocked. Carrie opened the door and her smiled faded when she saw who was there.

“I know you probably don’t want to see me, but I can’t stand it anymore and I needed to see you.”

“You can come in,” Carrie moving to the side to let Kelly in. Carrie took in Kelly appearance, her once toned body looked thin. Her shoulders hung in defeat and no longer did Kelly stand in confidence. “You can come more in, you can sit down.” Kelly took a seat on the chair, while Carrie sat on the couch. The TV was on but Carrie didn’t turn it off but just down a little bit to where they could still hear it.

“I know there’s nothing I can say to explain what I did. I was so stupid and I just wasn’t thinking. I just missed you so much and I hadn’t seen you in two months and he was the first one to give me attention and I went with it. I know that that isn’t a good excuse. Actually there is no excuse for what I did and I guess I just wanted to tell you that I’m sorry and that I still love you.”

“I just don’t get how you could do that to me. I thought you loved me.”

“I do I just I don’t know.”

“Kelly you don’t even know. I mean I you crushed me, you hurt me more than I have ever been hurt before. You were the first person I think I gave my heart and soul to.”

“I know and I’m upset with myself. I don’t know why I did it. I didn’t want him back. I know you don’t want to hear this, but he kissed me. I tried to push him away but he held on. Then all of the sudden his lips turned to yours. I swear I was hallucinating cause I honestly believed it was you. But still it doesn’t excuse what I did. I love you and I was just hoping that maybe we could start over?” And in other entertainment news Country Superstar Carrie Underwood has a new reason to cheer and that’s for her boyfriend Tony Romo the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Carrie heard that and turned off the TV. Kelly hung her head defeated. She stood up, “Never mind. I should go.”

“Kelly you don’t have to leave.”

“I’m sorry again,” Kelly said walking to the door. “I still do love you. I hope he makes you happy.” Kelly gave her a sad smile.

“Kelly I don’t want you…” before she could finish Kelly walked out of the door closing it behind her, “to leave.” Carrie put her head in her hands and started crying. *I shouldn’t have assumed she would be single* Kelly thought walking to her car wiping the tears away. She started the car when she saw the door open and Carrie come out, walking toward her car. Kelly shut of the car and got out.

“I don’t think I could ever forgive what you did, but Kelly I don’t want you out of my life. I don’t think I could handle it.”

“I think you are doing ok,” Kelly said looking at her feet.

“Ok you messed up Kelly not me!”

“I know! But I have tried for a month to talk to you!”

“I didn’t want to talk to you!”

“I got that!” Kelly yelled running her hand through her hair. “Look I should just go. It’s probably better that way. You’re better off without me.”

Kelly started to get back in her car when Carrie grabbed her wrist, “Wait.” Kelly turned back to face Carrie. “Like I said before I don’t want you out of my life Kel. I want you in it. I can’t trust you right now but we can work on it. And I just want to be friends eventually. I‘m gonna need some time though”

“I don’t think I can be friends with you right now anyway. I’ll always want you Care.”

“Sometimes you can’t always have what you want,” Carrie whispered. A couple of tears began to fall from Kelly’s bloodshot eyes.

“I know,” she replied softly.

“So what do you think? Friends eventually?”

“Yeah. I should go though.”

“Where are you gonna go?”

“Back to L.A. or home I don’t know.”

“Ok, Have a safe trip.” Kelly nodded and got back into her car. Closing the door and starting it. Carrie smiled sadly as a couple tears fell and watched as Kelly backed out of the driveway. Carrie walked back into her house and heard her phone ringing. She wiped her tears away.

“Hey babe.”

“Hey hun.”

“What are you up to?”

“Nothing just got done with practice and I wanted to call you. Are you ok?”

“Yeah why?”

“I don’t know you sound like you’ve been crying.”

“I was um just watching a Lifetime movie you know how those you.”

“Ok just checking. Ok well I have to get cleaned up so I will call you later.”

“Ok babe.”

“I miss you.”

“You too.” Carrie hung up her phone and sighed *It would have been so much easier if she hadn’t come here. I hope we can make this friendship work. I know we can. I can’t trust but why do I want to so badly? I know why cause I still love her stupid question. By this time when I was with Kelly I was already in love with and with Tony I feel something but nothing as strong as what I felt for Kelly. Maybe me and Tony will just have to work a little bit harder yeah that’s it! I can fall in love with him just slower*
