Jo walked back through Paul and Jemma's front door to be greeted by Paul.

"Hey dirty stop out, how did the date go?"

Jo smiled. "Yeah was good thanks, where's Jem?"

Paul smirked as he put the kettle on.

"Ah she's gone into town to finalize some details for our next gig on friday night."

Jo nodded and rolled her eyes thoughtfully as Paul handed her a cup of tea.

"Any songs in mind?"

Paul nodded.

"Yeah, we're planning an Evanescene tribute. How are you with singing in the style of Amy Lee?"

"Ah she'll be fine."

Jo and Paul spun round as AJ entered the kitchen and made himself a coffee.

"So how was your date?"

Jo smiled.

"We're meeting up tomorrow night."

AJ smiled and patted her on the back.

"Glad you're moving on from you know who, he aint worth your tears honey."

Jo smiled sadly, as long since buried memories began to resurface.

David was sat on the sofa reviewing the new draft for the next season of Doctor Who in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

He was normally able to fully concentrate on his task but for some reason today he was distracted.

He kept thinking about Jo, they'd only been apart for a couple of hours but he was already desperate to see her again.

The sudden sound of his mobile ringing snapped him from his thoughts, he smirked as he saw the caller ID.

"If you want to give me the third degree don't even think about asking me anything you might get a coffee poured over your head for!"

John laughed on the other end. "So you remembered I'm coming over to go through my lines with you then?"

"Of course." Smirked David, leaning back and putting his free hand behind his head.

"Good." Came the reply. "See you in an hour."

"Bye."

David put his phone back on the table and got up off the sofa, he had time for a shower and a shave before John arrived.

Jo sat in AJ''s recording studio looking through her collection of Evanescence CD's with Paul and AJ to see which songs they were going to play

that night.

"How about this one?" She asked handing AJ the playlist. "There's a really good guitar and drum solo I think we could pull off with a bit of practice."

AJ looked and raised his eyebrows. "You done it before?"

Jo shurgged. "I'm a fast learner and we do have plenty of rehersal time to practice."

AJ looked at Paul. "What do you reckon?"

Paul nodded. "We can give it a try, Jo's right there is plenty of time to reherse and get it right."

AJ smiled and handed the playlist back to Jo, "Give it a shot then."

Jo smiled confidently. "I'll go get my guitar."

John soon arrived at David's appartment.

David fortunately had managed to get showered and dressed before John arrived this time.

"It's open." He shouted as he heard John knocking.

John came in with his script under his arm.

"Afternoon lover boy!"

David poked his head round the kitchen door and raised an eyebrow.

John sank back slightly. "Did it not go well?"

David smiled. "Oh it went well."

John smiled back. "Nice one, I'm pleased for you."

"Seeing her again tomorrow night." Said David as he came through to the living room with two coffees.

John raised his eyebrows. "Wow you're keen. She must be something special."

David shrugged. "She's playing at The Hangar next week, Evanescence tribute."

"Oh I see, so not another date then?"

"Yeah of course, but they need to plan their schedule so I said I would see her tomorrow so she had today to help her friends out."

John rolled his eyes thoughtfully.

"Well just be careful, I don't want to see you hurt again."

David looked at him, grateful for his friends concern.

"I won't I know what I'm doing. Jo's been hurt badly in the past, she wouldn't do anything to hurt me."

"I just don't want her doing what Sophia did to you and choosing a career over you."

David looked at him for a moment.

"She hasn't even managed to find work here yet, she's still getting settled."

John's brow furrowed. "Doesn't the band get paid for the gigs they do?"

"Yeah of course but it's only a few gigs here and there at the minute."

"What was her last job?"

"Artist for a pet portrait company in London."

John scratched his head thoughtfully. "I may have an idea."

Jo tuned up her guitar and began to practice the guitar solo for "Whisper"

Paul and AJ watched with baited breath, it was a complicated tune and the first time Jo had attempted it.

"Come on Jo." Muttered AJ undr his breath.

"Damnit!" Snapped Jo angrilly as she messed up the final few chords.

"It's okay," Reasoned AJ. "Just try again."

"I nearly had it!" She snapped again.

"Jo you can't be perfect at everything first time, stop getting angry with yourself. You always expect too much of yourself."

Jo sighed and put her guitar down.

"Sorry, I can't help it."

"Nobod's perfect." Smiled Paul. "Come on we'll put the CD on and let you listen to it a few more times, see if it helps."

Jo smiled and followed them back into the house.

"Hey guys!" Smiled Jemma as she walked through the back door.

"Hey babe." Smiled Paul kissing her.

"All the details are finalized, how's practice going?"

Jo looked downhearted. "Not too good. I'm struggling with the guitar solo for "Whisper" I keep messing up the last three chords."

Jemma frowned. "It's ok we have six days left to get it right, don't take it so hard."

AJ smiled. "See told you bags of time. Now lets go find that CD."

Jo nodded and followed him out of the kitchen.
