**Chapter 13**

The Limo pulled up in front of the Westing home and Ally looked at Marshall.

“Can you just give me a minute to get them together?”

“No problem. Me and Hai will just chill in here.”

“Thanks…I’ll be right back.” She smiled brightly at him as the door opened from the outside.

Ally thanked the driver before rushing into the house in front of her.

“Tiffy…Brian?”

“Ally!” A little voice screamed, before it was followed by the sounds of two sets of feet running across the hardwood floors.

Ally turned toward the kitchen and was quickly greeted by Tiffany running towards her, followed closely behind by her brother.

“Hey Tif!”

Tiffany threw herself into Ally’s arms before talking a mile a minute.

“Ally, I didn’t know where anyone was…I don’t like it when I can’t find anyone! Mommy didn’t even call and Brian was still sleeping and you weren’t…”

“Hey calm down girlie. It’s ok now. Your mom and I just had a misunderstanding about who would be watching you today, but I’ve got it covered now right?”

Tiffany smiled and nodded before hugging her tightly again.

Ally never really thought about how much these kids actually depended on her before. To see how worked up they were about being left alone with out her really touched her heart. She’d been with them for a few years now and she knew she’d gotten attached to them, but before this she had always thought she was just another babysitter to them. She knew they liked her because they were never rude to her like they were with some of the others who helped around the house on occasion but it felt good to know that she meant so much to them.

“Did you guys eat?” Ally asked Brian, who was standing just behind them.

“Yea…I made cereal.”

“Ok cool. So how about you guys go up and get your swim suits and we’ll go to the beach today?”

“Yay!” Tiffany screamed before running towards the stairs.

Ally laughed, she knew it wouldn’t be a problem with Tiffany. She loved the beach. Now she just had to convince Brian.

“ You’re gonna come to right?”

“I wanted to go back to sleep Ally.” Brain huffed.

“I know, but I promise we’ll have a lot of fun. Trust me, you want to go with us.”

Brian sighed and rolled his eyes. “Fine, just let me get my shorts and my CD player for the ride.

“Ok. Just hurry up. And help your sister while I leave a note for your mom.”

“Yea.” Brian muttered before walking away.

By the time Ally was done writing the note for Mrs. Westing, the children were already downstairs and waiting by the front door.

“Ally what happened to your car?” Tiffany asked.

“What do you mean?”

“It got bigger?” Tiffany asked, pointing outside.

“Oh! No sweetie, that’s a different car. My friend is here with me and that’s what he drives in.”

Brian looked outside and frowned. “A limo?”
“Yea, don’t worry about it guys. It’s really cool in there!” Ally grinned as she locked up and led the kids out.

Ally led them over to the back of the limo and opened the door, letting Tiffany slid in first and then Brian.

Both of the children weren’t used to meeting new people so by the time Ally squeezed in, they still hadn’t even so much as looked around the car yet.

“Tiffy sweetie, why don’t you go sit by my friend Hailie over there. I think there is another set of head phones if you want to listen to some music.”

Tiffany’s head shot up and she looked over at the other girl sitting on the other side of the car. She quickly crawled over and kneeled in front of her.

“Hi!” She chirped.

“Hi!” Hailie smiled.

Ally smiled and looked at Brian who was looking in his bookbag for another CD. He obviously hadn’t looked around either. She smiled again and looked over at Marshall who was sitting opposite the girls.

“You just gonna sit over there now?” Ally asked.

“I was just waiting for the whole gang to get in here.” Marshall said, as she moved to sit next to him.

The limo started and a second later they were once again on the road, this time making their way towards the beach. At that point Brian must have found what he was looking for because he looked up as he dragged it out of his bag and then stopped dead.

“What the…you’re…but…shit…”

“Brian!” Ally yelled as Marshall laughed.

Brian looked over at Ally. “You…you know Eminem?!”

“No, I know Marshall.”

Brain snorted and shook his head as he stared at his idol.

Marshall smiled down at Ally as she said that. It was amazing how this woman made him feel. Never before had a woman made such a simple statement like that and had it made him smile like he was now. Marshall didn’t think he’d ever felt his stomach flutter like that unless it was right before a show.

“Hey man, whatcha listening to?” Marshall asked as he slung an arm over Ally’s shoulders.

Brian stared at him for a minute before croaking, “You.”

Marshall laughed again and nodded. “You got a marker?”

Brian dug around in his bag for a minute before pulling out a black sharpie.

“Cool, lemme get your CD.”

Brian’s eyes widened as he realized what was happening and opened his CD player to pass it over.

Marshall took the player and marker and looked down at the CD before him. He quickly scribbled a simple “Slim Shady” on the side before closing it and passing it back.

“That the only one you got?”

“No! I got them all! Even Infinite…well…I got a copy of it ‘cause I couldn’t find an original to buy.” Brian ended sheepishly.

Marshall grinned, “It’s cool. Wasn’t a lot of them anyway. So you like the new one or what?”

“It’s great! I listen to it all the time.”

Marshall genuinely smiled at the young boy sitting on the other side of the limo. “Thanks man. Next time I see you, get your other CDs and shit and I’ll sign it all for ya.”

“Really? Cool! Thanks!” Brian said before looking down at the signed CD. He’d have to buy another copy of everything he got signed so he could put them away.

Marshall just nodded and looked down at Ally, who was smiling widely at him.

“Thanks.” She whispered as Brian switched his CD for another one, so as not to mess it up.

Marshall just grinned a little and rubbed the side of her neck with his thumb.
