Bam opened his eyes at the sound of something moving and the smell of something cooking, coming from nearby him.
He opened his eyes, squeezing them shut again when sunlight burned into them and made his head spin. He tried to lift his arm to rub his eyes, but he couldn’t seem to lift it. It seemed very heavy, and when he tried harder, a burning pain sliced through his body.
“Ow, goddamnit!”
“Oh Bammie, hold on…I’m coming.” A voice behind him soothed him, and he finally opened his eyes properly to take in the scenario he was in.
Sand, sun, palm trees, the boat. Yeah he was still on the island.
He looked down, noticing his arms were wrapped in black fabric, and feeling more pain as he tried to move to examine them closer. Finally the events of the previous day came back to him…..at night. He tried to suppress his blush as Ville came in sight.
“I’ll lift you up, hold on.” He simply said, standing next to the boat, and approaching him from the back, lifting him a bit so he could sit up against the side of the boat.
“Thanks, my arms hurt like hell.” Bam sighed as Ville took a seat beside him, cocking an eyebrow.
“Yeah, maybe because you carved them open.” He mumbled without looking at Bam, his voice on the edge of anger and disappointment, but when he looked up, a smile was back on his sweet face.
“So, did you sleep well?”
Such an innocent question, until he remembered why it really wasn’t.
Of course Bam hadn’t…..he had been keeping him awake.
He felt his cheeks burn, and noticed Bam’s were too, but he obviously tried to ignore the issue and nodded his sleepy head.
“Great, thanks.”
Bam felt Ville’s eyes on him, but he didn’t say anything. What was Ville expecting from him now? Or what was he expecting of Ville?God, this sure didn’t make things easier.
“What smells so good?” Bam asked, his nose suddenly filled with the sweet smell of something cooking as a gust of wind flew by.
“Oh yeah, I ehmm…..”
Ville didn’t finish his sentence, but simply pointed to his left, where a fire was burning. Above the fire was a stick, held up by other sticks, and on the stick…
“Is that a bird?”
“Well…..yeah. Or at least it was.”
Bam looked up at Ville with wide eyes when he realized what was going on here. Ville had killed a bird, stripped it from it’s feathers and made a fire just so he could eat. That coming from Ville was truly something else, since Ville hated to kill animals so intensely, it the was the first time he had actually succeeded at doing so.
But Bam needed strength, and the meat was going to help regain it. So he had
faced his fears.
Bam noticed for the first time that Ville was slightly shaking, and his bottom lip was between his teeth, chewing nervously. He was still in complete shock and totally disgusted with what he had just done.
“You did this for me?”
“Of course I did.”
Ville’s voice was small, and shook as he spoke. Not sure how Bam was going to react. The fact that he knew Bam understood how hard this had been for him, didn’t make it easier.
He was still feeling nauseous from what he had just done. Grab the bird, snap the neck, remove the feathers.
So simple…..so simple it had been. And so traumatising at the same time.
Bam felt a smile creep up his face, touched by what Ville had done for him. He wished he could use his arms properly, but he was only able to lift them a little as the sleep finally seeped from them.
“That is the sweetest thing any one's ever done for me. Thank you.”
The pain in his arms, and the weak spot Ville created in his heart by his gesture made Bam’s eyes water, making Ville shift uncomfortably.
“Well then you don’t have many people in your life who treat you right.” He replied, feeling that Bam wanted to touch him, but ignoring the silent request of the boy next to him, who started to look smaller and smaller every second he denied him his touch.
Ville didn’t know why he reacted this coldly. Or in fact…he did.
The moment he had woken up this morning, he had found Bam in his arms, asleep. And for some reason it had made him feel so truly at peace. He had wanted to take care of his wounded Bam, so he had carefully slid from under him in search of food. And when he had stood there on the side of the lake, staring into the water with a smile on his face, a horrible
feeling had overtook him.
He had cheated.
He had been unfaithful to his fiancé. And he didn’t even care. It didn’t even bother him. That was awful. All he could think about, all he wanted to think about was Bam. And that was fucking wrong.
He tried to keep Jonna in mind, when he went back to their camp, watching Bam sleep on the boat. He tried to remember what she looked like, and how her voice sounded, but all he could do was kiss Bam’s temple as he slept, and make the fire with some dry wood.
And now, Bam was looking at him with such fear that he couldn’t bear looking at him.
They ate in silence, Ville feeling confused, Bam being scared, and wondering if Ville was struggling with what he suspected he was struggling with.
“You’re thinking about her, aren’t you?”
Bam read his mind, Ville was almost positive he had, and he finally looked up and into his eyes again, surprised.
“No, I’m not. That’s the problem.”
He sighed sadly, but it was still able to make Bam grin for a second, hating himself for liking Ville saying that so much.
“Ville, I don’t want to make you feel like this, but I think….” As Bam spoke, he realized saying what he wanted to say could be a little harsh for Ville to hear. He didn’t want to upset him.
“You think….what?” The way Ville spoke the words made Bam wish he'd never brought this up. This territory was way too sensitive.
“Ville I…..we’re not getting off this island anytime soon. I don’t know if you’ll ever..”
“DON’T. Don’t say that. Don’t ever fucking say that.” Ville spat, looking at him with eyes blazing with anger. Spending forever on this island wasn’t something he wanted to think about. Never returning to his normal life seemed like his worst nightmare.
Or so it should.
Bam was silent, looking at Ville with a blank expression on his face. He thought he was the messed up one, but Ville seemed to be even worse in some departments.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought it up.”
Finally, Ville couldn’t suppress his urges anymore. Bam was so open, and sweet. So vulnerable. And here he was snapping at him for not wanting face the truth. Or was it that he didn’t want to face his feelings about it?
He wrapped his arms around him and pressed his cheek to the side of Bam’s face. Hugging the boy close, and feeling Bam’s heavy arms slowly wrapping around his shoulders.
“I’m sorry Bammie. I’m just so confused.” He whispered, making Bam smile by using the endearing nickname. “I should think about her, and you know….stay faithful. I should care more.”
‘But I can’t, because I’m falling for you.’
That last sentence, that he couldn’t bring himself to say out loud, echoed against the walls of his skull. That was just it, wasn’t it? He was falling for Bam. That was why….that was why everything, basically. God how he hated this.
No see, that would have been easy. The thing was, he really didn’t hate this. God, things were never simple, were they?
“It’s ok. I understand.” Bam replied sweetly, pulling back so he could look into Ville’s emerald eyes.
Their eyes connected for a moment, before Ville slowly moved closer, capturing Bam’s lips gently with his own. Bam immediately moaned in response, craving for this since the moment he had woken up that morning.
It was so slow, almost painful, as their lips met over and over again, innocently kissing each others pain away. Slowly opening up, Ville gently rimmed his tongue round Bam’s pouting bottom lip, who responded by deepening the kiss and opening his mouth so Ville could softly stroke his tongue with his own.
It was so sweet and slow, making their cheeks flush and heads spin. Until Bam couldn’t take it anymore, wanting more of Ville’s touch and taste. But just as he wanted to deepen the kiss further, and make it more passionate, Ville pulled away with a smile.
“Come on Bammie, we need to go find some more food for today, and wood for the fire. Keep an eye out for boats, the usual.” He smiled innocently, making Bam eye him in disbelief.
“We’ll take it slow Bammie, you're still hurt and I want you to heal first. And come on, you said it yourself, we have all the time in the world here.”
Ville explained with a wink, making Bam shake his head. Ville was right. He was still very weak, nor could he move his arms properly. He would have to rest a lot and concentrate on healing. Not that that wasn’t making him clench his teeth all day long, having Ville so close,
but not being able to touch him. That was pure torture.
But he just settled with gentle kisses and sweet words to sooth him for now. And as time went by, as Bam’s arms began to heal more, their bond grew stronger. They became truly comfortable in each others presence. During these days, while they waited to be with each other again, they were given the opportunity to get used to the idea, and time to think about their feelings. Time to talk and really get to know each other.
And the closer they become, the smaller became the way back, until it was gone. No matter what happened now….things would never be the same. A week later, Bam woke up next to Ville, feeling better than the day before, as he did everyday, and spooned his body against Ville’s, who was still sleeping, placing his chin in the crook of Ville’s neck and making the
older boy sigh.
“You’re awake?” Bam asked against the skin, feeling Ville’s slow breathing becoming more less steady and his shoulders shift.
“I am now…..Jesus what time is it.” Ville groaned, sitting up when he noticed the sun sitting low in the sky. Beneath him was no rubber, but warm white sand, and the memories of that day came back to him.
“Early evening, I’m guessing.” Bam responded, clinging to Ville’s body to keep him from standing up. He remembered them taking a rest after fishing, climbing trees and chopping
wood that day, and they laid down together on the beach, making out and falling asleep together.
Damn, there was no way he could sleep now this evening.
Bam finally let go of Ville, giving up on sleeping some more, sat up with a defeated groan, watching the slow sunset in silence.
“Hey Ville, If you had to go to a deserted island and you could only bring one thing. What would you bring?” He joked, quoting one of the many cliché questions from cheap magazine quizzes. Funny how you always have an answer, knowing that that would never happen to you anyway.
Never say never, so it seemed.
Ville laughed warmly, smiling at Bam and nudging him with his elbow.
“That’s a stupid question. Don’t people get that when you're stranded on a
deserted island, you don’t have time to bring anything.”
“Come on, answer the question.” Bam whined like a teenage girl while trying to remove the sand stuck on his leg.
“Well, don’t I get a multiple choice?”
Bam sighed, thinking of answers for Ville, who laughed seeing Bam taking this so seriously.
“Ok, I got answers. A: a cellphone…..”
“What sort of stupid answer is that? The line would be dead.”
“B: a can of beans.” Bam interrupted him, pretending he couldn’t hear his bitching.
“Why in the world….”
“Stupid quizzes always have stupid answers. C: a dog.”
“I’m allergic..”
“You could eat him.”
“Bam, god that is disgusting and very disturbing.”
Ville made a face, making Bam laugh. It was so easy getting him all shocked and grossed out.
He sighed deeply, pretending he found Ville a very difficult candidate.
“Fine, D: Something else. Line of dots.”
Ville smiled, flipping himself onto his stomach and swinging his legs in the air.
“Well, that’s easy then. D.”
“You’ll have to fill in what you would bring on the dot line.” Bam reminded him with a serious nod.
“Ok…I would bring….” Ville pretended to think really hard while leaning closer to Bam’s face. Scratching his head and chewing on his bottom lip. Pretending to take this very serious.
“You.” He whispered, so close to Bam now that his lips grazed his cheek, making Bam giggle.
“Me?” He squealed, making Ville heart jump. Bam could go from age thirty to eight in two seconds. From smart and responsible to careless and innocent. Something he had never seen before.
“Of course, I brought you with me before I left, didn’t I? What more proof do you want.” Ville simply grinned, kissing Bam on the lips before the boy sat up, grabbing Ville’s hand.
“I'd bring you too, it wouldn’t be the same without you.” He teased, squeezing Ville’s hand and forced him to stand up along with him.
“Come on. Let’s go for a swim. The salt is good for my wounds.” He pushed, knowing Ville didn’t like to swim, but not feeling like going alone once again.
Ville agreed, but blushed when Bam started taking off his t-shirt and jeans, standing in only his boxers now. He stripped off his own pants, standing only in his swimming trunks now as Bam eyed him with an approving smile.
“Who ever is last in is…stuck on a deserted island.” Ville yelled, running towards the water, which was warm from the burning sun shining on it all day long. It was very nice, since it was still cooling his warm body, being a few degrees colder than the hot sand.
“Who ever's in first is….also stuck on a deserted island.” Bam yelled after him while taking a sprint. First taking the fabric around his arms off, so his wounds could get into the water and heal.
The both stayed close to the coast, so they could still stand. Ville having the water reaching up to his chest, Bam having it reaching his shoulders.
“You want to…..you want to go skinny dipping?” Bam teased after a little while, seeing Ville blush and not being able to stop himself from teasing him. It would be the first sexual anything in a week, and he was on the verge of explosion. He was feeing so much better, and he believed he was ready for….the next step.
“Come on Ville, nothing I haven’t seen before.” He teased, making Ville smile a little shy before reaching under water, and pulling down his trunks, holding them up in the air to show Bam the dripping piece of clothing.
Bam grinned and did the same, showing Ville the black boxer he had been wearing and bringing his arms up. Ville noticed for the first time how good his arms already looked. The
tissue was already healing and the wound was no longer open. The water really did make a difference he realized. Bam moved so much easier than days before, and he seemed almost obvious to the cuts in his arms now, letting Ville know they didn't hurt him anymore.
“You're doing better aren’t you Bam.” He smiled. It was an innocent statement, even though there was something not so innocent on his mind.
Apparently, not on Bam’s mind either, since his eyes darkened and he turned to Ville as he spoke.
“Yes.” He stated, before closing the gap between them and almost attacking Ville’s mouth like a hungry lion. Ville stepped back two steps, wobbling on his legs from the weight of
Bam throwing himself at him.
Hugging his arms around the boy and groaning when his repressed desire made itself present. God he had longed for this for so long now. He was scared yes, but he did want Bam.They kissed passionately while Bam’s hand sneaked under water, grabbing Ville's erection and making Finn gasp into the kiss.
His hands roamed over Bam’s shoulders and back, cupping his ass to bring him closer, and
rubbing both their erections together.
Bam’s head rolled back from the wonderful friction, and moaned when Ville attacked his neck by kissing it and sucking on the soft skin gently, scraping it with blunt teeth.
“God Ville.”
“Bammie…Oh.”
Bam panted hard when Ville wrapped his hand around both their cocks, and pumped them both slowly but hard, making Bam weak with desire. It felt so good, but Bam had to stop him. He wanted something else. He knew he would have to push Ville to get what he wanted, even though the Finn would want it to. He just had to have him.
“Ville, no. I want you, please.”
“You have me Bammie.” Ville panted, but secretly he knew just what Bam wanted from him. And he let Bam lead him back to the beach.
“Let’s get to the boat.” Bam moaned, grabbing his boxers and Ville trunks out of the water and wrapped his arm around Ville, kissing him and walking backwards.
They never disconnected as the stumbled back, almost tripping, laughing and kissing. Until they reach the boat.
“I’m scared Bammie.” Ville confessed between the kisses, as he laid Bam down on his back and climbed on top of his body, letting his hands run free.
“So am I….but I want you so bad.”
Ville broke away for a second, looking into Bam’s blue eyes. His expression unreadable.
“Ville, you sure you want to do this?”
