Fools Rush In
The wedding and reception had gone smoothly without any incident. Nikki had been on edge the whole time, but had tried to hide this fact so as not to alert the other guests to what was going on.
After the reception Nikki had been forced by her mother to reveal how she was pregnant and who the father was, to her dad. To say Carl Blonsky had been livid would have been a serious understatement of the century.
It took over a week for him to completely calm down, but when he had, he took his daughter into his arms and let her sob. Karen had forgiven her a couple of days after the wedding, as had Gail.
Nikki had made a deal with her parents, who had reluctantly agreed. The agreement was that she would wait three more months until Zac had finished promoting HSM. Then she would tell him about her pregnancy. This was after her parents forced her to, claiming he had the right to know he was going to be a father.
By the time Nikki would tell him, she would be five and a half months pregnant. She had no choice but to tell him. Stacy who had been shocked at the news, had threatened to tell Corbin. And Nikki knew Corbin would have no such qualms about telling Zac anything, if it benefited Zac.
Katie had in fact told Lucas, who had called Nikki. He had told her over the phone-

Nikki had been horrified when Lucas had called her. She figured he would have rung Katie, and not her. she had told him as much. Lucas had stopped her dead in her tracks when he had told her.
“You need to tell him, Nikki. Yes and before you ask, Katie did tell me, and it was a good job she did as well. She said she had a feeling you weren’t very inclined to inform Zac of his impending fatherhood.”
Nikki had explained “At first I wasn’t going to, but my parents have persuaded me to tell him after promoting for HSM is over and done with.” She added “Plus I don’t wanna trap him, Lucas. I don’t want him to have to stay with me, thinking he has to out of some pathetic obligation.”
She added “He’s only eighteen. His career is only starting to take off. This is his big chance to make something of himself in the industry. I don’t want to destroy that for him.”
Lucas had replied “Trust me when I say I know Zac well enough to know he won’t leave you to bring up this baby on your own. He’ll stick by you. After all he’s just as much to blame for this situation as you are. He was there along with you, and didn’t use any protection. So he has equal blame here. And I know Zac will take responsibility for you and your baby.”
Nikki had replied “Babies, Lucas. Not baby, babies. I discovered I’m having twins. I’m three months long right now, and will be five and a half by the time promoting HSM is over. I’ll tell him then.”
Lucas let out a weary sigh, and commented “Shit, twins. Damn I Always thought Zac was an overachiever. Like geez, the guy had a 4.4 GPA average. He’s one seriously smart guy. So if his career ever dried up, he’d be able to go to college or University no problem.”
End Flash Back
So that was how her conversation had gone with Lucas. Corbin had even found out. She had told him, figuring she could trust him. Corbin had been just as stunned as Lucas had been. But promised he’d wait for Nikki to tell Zac when promotion had finished.
But he had warned her, that if she didn’t come clean and tell Zac then. Then he would tell Zac whether she liked it or not.
