|| Bill’s POV ||
“BECAUSE HE’S MY BAND MATE AND DID SOMETHING FOR ME THAT I NEVER FUCKING EXPECTED FROM HIM! YOU CANNOT SERIOUSLY BE MAD ABOUT THIS!” Sonnie was yelling at the top of her lungs, Tom, Abbie, Kyle, and I had taken too hiding in the bus the second Matt had come up to her asking about kissing Tom’s cheek during the show. She wasn’t happy to say the least. It had started out calm enough; at least we couldn’t hear word per word of what she was saying. She’s lost it now.
“So uhm… let’s get out of the break room. Wanna go on the roof and break-dance?” Abbie said, breaking the awkward silence that had fallen between the four of us in the bus. It worked; every one of us started laughing. Abbie smiled, without the awkwardness it was easier to ignore the screaming coming from outside.
“That Dane Cook is a silly bitch,” Kyle said, making Abbie giggle and wrap her arms around him, I had to look away. I didn’t say anything though. She only lost her anger towards me today; the last thing I wanted was a never-ending silence between us again.
“UGH! YOU MOTHER FUCK ASSHOLE!” Sonnie’s voice rang through the bus again and I saw Tom visibly wince. Well, there went our happy moment… “NO! DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH ME, MATHEW!” Shit, she used his first name, this wasn’t good. “JUST GO, BLOW YOURSELF OR SOME SHIT. I’M DONE WITH IT!” Her words got louder and louder until she had walked into the bus and pointed at Kyle, “You! OUT! I WANNA GO! NOW!”
Kyle took no time at all before giving Abbie a quick kiss and sliding out of the bus before Sonnie could yell at him again. She sighed a little, falling against one of the couches next to Tom and practically laying on him. No one dared say a word, not even when the bus was moving twenty minutes later. “I dumped him.” Sonnie said, breaking the silence and curling up in the corner of the couch, “He liked it better when all of us were fighting. So I told him to fuck off. He said I was to fucking close to Tom, and said everything the fucking tabloids say about us is true. So I dumped him.”
“Good.” Abbie said, smiling at her friend and Sonnie smiled back, I wasn’t sure what to do right now. “I never did like that fuck face fucker.” She said, and Sonnie nodded in agreement. Wait, I thought Abbie liked him? Her and Matt never seemed to have any problems with each other.
“Ugh, I know. I don’t know why I dated him for so long, he wasn’t even that cute.” She said, waving her hand like he had never meant anything to her. Okay, now I was really, really confused. I’m not even gay and I know Matt was good-looking. But Abbie caught my eyes from her chair that was parallel to my own, raising her brows like she wanted me to say something. Ohh, I get it now. It was like ritual or something. You had to say bad things about someone they dumped.
“Yanno, Sonnie… He wasn’t even that good for you.” I said, not quite sure what to say. I’d never done anything like this before. Tom’s eyes widened at me like I was crazy. As far as he understood right now, we never say anything bad about their boyfriends. But this wasn’t her boyfriend, this was her ex. And you have to say everything bad about him.
Sonnie’s smile at me proved I was right at my assumption. “I know, right?” She asked, her smile widening as her hands moved to her hair and she started to take the braids out of her hair, “God, he wasn’t even good in bed.” I’d heard the screams… I knew she enjoyed it. Just as much as Abbie did with Kyle, but I wasn’t going to say anything about that.
“Yanno, Sonnie,” Tom said, finally catching on, “Even I could make you scream louder then he could.” He said, I knew that was risky to say, but Sonnie’s grin widened and her eyes glittered a little when she looked at Tom.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself Tomi-boy. He may not have been good, but who’s to say you are either. I swear to god, I’m lesbian now.” She said with a nod, nearly done taking out the braids already. It was like her fingers worked rapid fire, she finished the task within minutes. She’d done it so many times.
“Sonnie, you said that last time, when you broke up with Daniel. And when you broke up John. And don’t forget about Trevor. Oh that was a lovely one.” Abbie said, smirking at her friend and Sonnie giggled a little.
“Yes, well, I mean it this time.” Sonnie said with a nod, running her hands through her now braid-free hair. She grinned, getting up from the couch and walking over to Abbie, “I’ll prove it to you,” She said before she leaned over Abbie and pressed her lips hard against her best friends.
Tom and I were in shock, staring at the two of them. Abbie grabbed a fist full of the crimpy hair of her friend and took dominance over the kiss, pushing her tongue inside Sonnie’s mouth as Sonnie pulled closer to her. My twin and I couldn’t stop staring. After another moment or so, Abbie pulled Sonnie’s head away from her and shook her head, smiling a little and licking over her lips, “See Sonnie, if you haven’t tried to prove it to me that way a few times before, I might believe it.” She said, patting her friend’s cheek and Sonnie laughed out loud. That was a joke? No fucking way.
“She certainly had me convinced right there…” Tom mumbled, scratching the back of his neck and laughing a little nervously. “As a matter of fact, you both had me pretty convince that you guys could be lesbians together. Come to think of it, you should kiss her again. Just, Yanno, so I can see exactly what I missed about you to being straight.”
Sonnie laughed a little, leaning in and whispering something in her friend’s ear. Abbie grinned and giggled. They wouldn’t speak their language in front of us anymore; we were catching on rather quickly now. Abbie nodded, slipping out from the chair and stood next to Sonnie. I didn’t have time to even think about what they were talking about before Sonnie was in front of Tom, and Abbie was in front of me. “I think I have a better idea on how to prove to them we both really are straight, what do you think Abbie?” Sonnie asked.
Abbie leaned in a little closer to me and smirked, I couldn’t see what Sonnie was doing, but I bet anything it was something like Abbie was doing to me. “I think that’s a grand idea, Sonnie,” She said back, almost as if this were a play. “Would you like to explain it?” She asked and I gulped back a little.
“I think it better if we just show them, ease the tension a little.” She said, Sonnie’s voice was a purr. I didn’t have a chance to try and understand that either before Abbie leaned in closer to me and her arms were around my neck and her lips were pressed firmly against my own.
