Chapter 13: Surprised Visitor
Ethan woke up to a rapid knocking on his bedroom door. He quickly got up from his bed and rushed to he door and opened it. He saw a scared Alex staring back at him.
"Alex? What's wrong?" He asked rubbing his eyes.
A little out of breath he looked at the front door and Ethan followed his gaze. He could hear a rapid knocking as well as muffled yelling.

"Stay here," he said and rushed past him and went to Andy's room. He didn't bother knocking. His adrenaline was kicking in. He rushed in and started to shake Andy awake.
"Andy!" He said and he turned on the lamp on the night stand and he went back to trying to wake her up.
"Andy!" He said shaking her shoulders. "Come on! Andy!" He said just as her eyes shot open and he felt her hand around his neck.
"Fuck!" He shouted, "I forgot! Andy it's me!" He said straining to catch his breath. He forgot about how Andy could get nightmares and shaking her awake was a bad idea because some times she feels as if she's still in them.
This happened a few times with him, but he knew just to keep talking to her in a calm voice. They had this conversation one night four years ago when he went to wake her up for their trip to Wisconsin.
"Andy, it's Ethan, calm down."
At this point Lynn woke up and saw what was in front of her and she tried to help him but he shook his head indicating to her to let him handle it. Alex rushed in a grabbed Lynn took her towards the hallway just as Brian and Angel were coming out of their room with confused tired looks.
They saw Alex and Lynn standing in the doorway of Andy's room. Brian walked up to them and saw the scene happening and his eyes went wide. He tried to rush in but Alex stopped him.
"Alex!" He said.
Alex just shook his head, "Stop! It looks like Ethan knows what he's doing."
With one hand on Andy's wrist and another on her cheek Ethan kept trying to talk in a calm voice. Angel took Lynn's arm but she shook her head as she stood and watch what was happening. She didn't know what to think at this point. She had so many questions going through her mind. But she would have to save them for another time. She continued to watch as Andy seemed to be coming out of her trance.
"That's it," Ethan said as he felt her hand loosen. He could feel her starting to relax and her hand slowly came off of his neck. He coughed and she shot up and started to apologize but he waved her off.
"Save it. There's someone banging on the door and yelling."
Andy nodded, "Fuck! I don't have my gun! Find something." She said and Ethan nodded as they started to look through the room.
Ethan went into one of the closets and pulled out two wooden baseball bats, "Andy!" He turned and said and tossed her a bat. She caught it and they both started to walk out of the room.
"Stay here," she said to the group as she and Ethan cautiously walked down the stairs. They didn't want to turn on the lights downstairs otherwise that would give them away. Andy could hear the knocking getting louder and the muffled yelling slowly started to become clearer.
"I know you're in there! Alex! Brian! Lynn! I don't care what time it is! Open up!" Andy and Ethan looked at each other and their grips on their bats tightened up.
Andy walked up to the door leaned against, "Who are you?!" she said through the door.
There was some rustling and then she heard, "Oh for fuck sake!"
"Who the fuck are you?!" Andy asked again. Just then Lynn came rushing down the stairs, rushed passed Ethan and then pushed Andy aside. She opened the door and there stood a woman in a thick wool coat with glasses, curly brown hair and her cheeks were red from the cold.
"About time! Shit!" She said as she walked in and took off her coat and tossed it to Ethan and she walked into the living room, "Some one please get the lights! It's too dark in here." Alex came down the stairs and he turned on the lights.
"I'll take a cup of coffee, two sweet and lows, and two hazelnut creams." She said as she took a seat on the couch and started to sort through her briefcase. She was wearing an all red woman's business suite and Andy took this moment to come up to her.
"I'm not giving you anything until you tell me who the fuck you are!" She said standing in front of her with the coffee table separating them. The stranger looked up at Andy and smiled. She then turned and saw Lynn standing by the staircase, "Erika was right, she does have some spunk in her."
Lynn nodded and started to walk over to Andy. Once she came up to her she whispered in her ear and Andy's expression didn't change. She continued to look at the woman in front of her and cleared her throat, "We don't have sweet and low or hazelnut creamer."
The woman looked at her and sighed, "Fine. I'll take whatever coffee you got. Once you get that done we'll start this meeting." Andy scoffed, shook her head and started to walk straight to the kitchen and started to bang some things around.
Ethan walked in after her. He put the bat down next to hers on the counter bar and sat down in one of the chairs. He wanted to ask who that person was, but he knew not to talk to her when she had her 'stone face' on.
"Fucking two in the morning and she decided to come now!" She mumbled under her breath. Ethan got up and walked over to the sliding doors and closed them. Before he did he saw Lynn, Alex, Brian, and Angel sitting around the living room talking to the woman. They had a good day yesterday and they just went to bed two hours ago.
"Who is that?" He asked coming back over to his chair.
Andy looked up and looked her best friend dead in the eye, "Melissa."

"Come on, come on, come on!" Andy said to the TV. Once they got back from the train station her dad called her. Telling her that she had to watch the replaying of game that their favorite college team was in. She forgot that her favorite team was in the playoffs and this game would decide if they were going to the National Championship.
When they got into the town house she wasted no time and ran up the stairs to her room and quickly changed making sure she didn't wear any black or red. She came down the stairs in a white t shirt and her bright orange basketball shorts and white ankle socks. She rushed to the coffee table and grabbed the remote for the TV.
With the TV remote in one hand and her phone in the other she called her dad and asked what network she should be watching it on. She found what she was looking for and the game was just beginning. She hung up the phone with her dad and she told him she would text him through out the game.
While she was rushing around everyone took off their coats and went into the kitchen. Where Ethan was getting bombarded with questions. He smiled and held up his hands.
"Okay, hold on, just give me a second." He looked turned his head and looked into the living room and watched Andy for a few moments.
"Andy's a huge college football fan. More so than the NFL. If there was a college football draft she would sign up. She's been a Georgia Bulldog fan all her life because of her dad. I guess this year they made it to the playoffs, and this game, she's watching right now will determine if they go to the National Championship. That's all she kept talking about since the season started. Was Georgia needs to do this and Georgia needs to do that to get to the Championship." He explained and then opened a drawer and started to pull out take out menus.
"If you really want a show tonight, watch Andy. She gets into it. Don't even get me started on the FIFA World Cup either. For the Men's World Cup she cheers for Brasil. For the Women's World Cup she cheers for U.S.A." He explained putting the menus in front of them.
"Why is that?" Angel asked.
Ethan looked up and gave her a half smile, "Well, she hates the U.S. men's team because she says they can't play, like, at all. Her words not mine. I gotta be honest though she's right about them. Plus the Women's World Cup is more exciting anyways. So what's for dinner?"
"OH COME ON REF THAT WAS CLEARLY IN BOUNDS!" They all heard from the living room. Lynn couldn't help but laugh as she saw Andy stand up and yell at the TV.
"What does Andy want?" She asked looking back at Ethan. He turned his head to the living room and then started to walk towards her. He stood behind the couch and waited a few minutes for a commercial to come on.
"Hey bro, we're about to order food, what do you want?" He asked.
She was looking through her phone and shrugged, "Anything is fine, can you just make sure for me, that it's not too greasy. The medicine isn't helping anymore for some reason. I'm not gonna eat until half time, probably. Damn I need snacks! Shit, do we have goldfish?!" She asked not even bothering to wait for his answer. She climbed off the couch and rushed into the kitchen and started to look into the cabinets.
"Babe, what are you doing?" Lynn asked with a small laugh.
"I need goldfish!" She said as she climbed the counter and found what she was looking for. "YES!" She climbed down and then went to the refrigerator and found a bottle of water. She quickly closed the door and rushed back to the living room and sat back down on the couch. Keeping her eyes glued on the TV she opened th bag of Goldfish and started to slowly eat them.
Back in the kitchen Ethan was shaking his head with a smile. The four looked at him and they all couldn't help but laugh. "What's up with the Goldfish snacks?" Alex asked looking through a menu.
"It's a thing she has. She believes in this game superstition thing. This past year, her team's won almost every game and every win she's had Goldfish and water. One of the times they lost she didn't have it and she was pissed. Also she's wearing what she wore every time they won. Guess she brought them in case. But the other time they didn't win her clothes were in the wash and she was even more pissed." He explained to them. Then he smiled and asked, "So have we decided?"
Andy was standing up and it was close to half time at this point in the game. She was pacing back and forth that she didn't even hear Ethan say the food had arrived. No one bothered leaving the kitchen because they were too afraid to see what Andy would do.
Every now and then they would hear Andy yell, cheer, or clap her hands at the TV. Ethan and Alex were sorting out the food and he leaned in, "Wanna see something funny?" Ethan whispered to Alex and he nodded.
"Hey Lynn, wanna bring this to Andy?" Ethan said giving her a small container of food, a fork, napkins, and another water bottle. Lynn smiled and took her small container as well. She wanted to join Andy anyway and watch her up close instead of from afar.
She walked into the living room and saw Andy pacing back and forth with her hands on her head. Lynn put both their containers on the coffee table. She looked up and saw Andy standing there with her arms crossed her eyes glued to the TV. She smiled and she decided to set up the coffee table.
"GO! GO! BABY! GO! YES! TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!! LET'S GO BABY! WOO!" Andy yelled and clapped at the same time causing Lynn to jump a little bit. Ethan, Alex, Brian, and Angel all looked into the living room from the kitchen and met Lynn's surprised eyes. Ethan couldn't help but laugh.
"Babe food's here." Lynn said sitting down on the couch getting settled.
Andy just nodded, "Uh huh, yeah I'll be right there." She said with her back to Lynn and waved her hand.
Lynn looked at the TV and saw the football game, "Who's winning?"
Andy turned her head slightly, "It's tied 38 to 38 right now. Still got the second half to go. We win this we go to the championship." She turned her head back to the TV and took a couple of steps back and was now standing by the coffee table.
"How much time is left?"
"A minute thirty. We just gotta keep up our running game and watch our passing game. Our defense FINALLY woke up. Now it's just our offense that needs to get it together."
Lynn smiled hearing Andy talk about the game. She wouldn't understand why a lot of people get into sports. But watching and listening to Andy, she just couldn't help but think how adorable it was.
The first half of the game ended and Andy looked down at her phone and called her dad. She started to walk back in forth in front of the TV and Lynn got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen.
"Having fun?" Ethan asked with a smirk.
Lynn returned the smirk and shook her head, "Sooooo she loves sports."
Ethan nodded, "Yup. Her dad taught her everything from baseball to football to soccer to rugby. She loves them. Oh and the Olympics too. So have fun." He said giving her a pat on the back.
Lynn just smiled, "I think it's cute. I like seeing some one passionate about something they love." She walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water and walked out of the kitchen.
When she was back in the living room she saw Andy sitting on the couch and eating her food. She sat down next to her and put a hand on her back and started to move it up and down. Andy turned her head and looked at her and smiled, "I'm sorry. I just really want us to go to the championship."
Lynn smiled, "You talk as if you're part of the team." Andy nodded and took a sip of her water.
Andy nodded, "The fans are just as part of the team as the players. We keep their spirits up even if the team loses. We're still there for the team no matter what. None of this bandwagon bullshit. If my teams don't make it to the Championships or Super Bowl, oh well. I'll cheer for a team, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be a fan of that team when the game is over."
Andy heard the music on the TV and turned her attention back to it. Lynn leaned in and kissed her cheek. She leaned back on the couch and started to watch the game with Andy.
About an hour later the four that were in the kitchen came running into the living room after hearing Andy scream. What they saw was Andy carrying Lynn over her shoulder around the living room cheering. "WE'RE GOING TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!" She yelled over and over again. They all laughed and she finally put Lynn down who was now a little dizzy.
Andy ran up to other four and gave them each a tight hug. After she hugged everyone she started to jump on the couch, run through the kitchen, run up the stairs and back down, then started to jump around the coffee table. When she was out of breath she put her hands on top of her head to calm herself down.
"You good?" Ethan asked with a smile.
Andy nodded, "What sucks is that the day of the Championship is the day before we leave for Georgia." She said trying to catch her breath. She sat down on the couch, leaned back and put her hands in her face and let out a big scream but it was muffled.
She took her hands away and sat up, "I think I'm gonna cry." She said feeling the tears in the back of her eyes. She got back up and started to pace back and forth again. Ethan came up to her and gave her a shot glass and one for him as well. They both cheersed and took the shot of whiskey.
After they watched her celebrate for another twenty minutes or so they all decided to go to bed. Andy made one more phone call to her dad and they started to make plans to watch the Championship game together. She fell into the bed with a big happy sigh and turned over to plug in her phone so it would charge. Lynn came walking in with a smile and crawled into bed next to her.
Andy felt the bed sink and turned and smiled at Lynn, "I'm sorry I got so excited. I just never thought I would be able to see this day." She said putting her arm around her and turning on the TV with the other hand.
Lynn smiled and kissed Andy's temple, "The more I learn about you the more I like. You're so different and I can't help but feel and think it's a good thing."
Andy looked at her and smiled, "How about another date tomorrow night? This time I want to do it proper."
Lynn nodded with a big smile, "Sounds like a plan." They gave each other a kiss good night and settled into bed. She let Lynn pick a movie and within minutes they were fast asleep.

"That's Melissa?!" Ethan asked getting up just as the coffee machine beeped. Andy nodded after putting the ingredients into the coffee mug.
"Dude I'm so not ready for this!"
Andy poured the coffee and finished it off, "Neither am I. Bro, this has got to be the most stressful vacation ever!" She said in a harsh whisper.
Ethan nodded, "I can't wait for our extended vacation though."
"By the way I got some news to tell them, you as well. Erika spilled the beans about something, gonna have them get ahold of Mark too. Assuming he doesn't know." She said and then picked up the coffee mug and started to walk towards the living room with a confused Ethan behind her.
Andy placed the coffee mug on the coffee table and took her previous spot across from it. She crossed her arms and waited for Melissa to speak. Ethan was standing behind the couch and Angel nudged her head to tell him to stand next to Andy. Without saying anything he nodded and stood next to her.
Melissa looked at the coffee that Andy just made and then looked up at her with a raised eyebrow. She looked back down and took it by the handle and took a sip. Her eyes widened slightly but not enough to give herself away. She took another sip and put the mug back on the table.
"You four," she said pointing at the trio and Angel, "I need to talk to these two alone." Without protesting they all hurried out of the living room and went into the kitchen, "Close the doors!" Angel heard as she was the last on in the kitchen and she closed the sliding doors.
Melissa looked up at the two best friends and Andy was glaring hard with her arms crossed and Ethan was looking at her with worry in his eyes. Melissa's intense brown eyes met Andy's just as intense eyes. Four faces were pressed against the glass of the sliding doors of the kitchen wanting to know what was going on.
Melissa and Andy stared each other down for another minute or two and Melissa finally spoke up, "I can't believe I had to cut my sabbatical short for this."
"Sorry to be an inconvenience," Andy said with an annoyed tone and Melissa shot her a look but Andy kept her gaze. Melissa was a little surprised. After her phone call to Erika and from what she told her about Andy she wasn't expecting this.
Melissa cleared her throat, "Well, I understand you two have been spending a LOT of time with PVRIS."
Andy just nodded, she was standing her ground. This woman came to her door and put everyone in a panic which she didn't like. Melissa could tell that Andy wasn't going to like her but she didn't care.
"From my understanding and from what Kara and Erika said you two have no intentions of using them to further whatever career you two will have in the future."
"This is true," Ethan said nodding his head. Melissa looked at some one the papers on the coffee table and she took a sip of her coffee and then stood up. She crossed her arms and started to fully take in Andy and Ethan. She noticed Andy's tattoos and her toned arms. If she didn't know any better she would assume that Andy was a guy and not a girl. She looked over at Ethan and took in his hazel green eyes and his short brown hair, along with his goatee. He wasn't as toned as Andy but did have some muscle.
"Tell me, what started this whole thing with them?" She asked walking up to Andy.
She kept her composure and without thinking she started to talk, "Started in Charlotte at the Meet and Greet. Won the raffle. They came to see us before Europe. Came to see us after Europe. Traveled with us to here. Spent Christmas together. About to spend New Years Eve together. Long story short."
Melissa nodded, "Thank you for saving the other details."
"Pleasure."
"I want us to be friends. I do, but in order for that to happen you need to start showing me some respect." She warned.
Andy scoffed, "Seriously?! You want respect?! Showing up at our door at two in the fucking morning and banging on it scaring everyone to death, and having me waking up to me choking my best friend and you want to us to show you respect?! I don't fucking think so! You couldn't have waited until later this fucking morning to call one of them and asked us to meet you at Kara's office. But no you decided to be a maniac and almost give Alex a heart attack. Then, having my best friend panic and shaking me awake to me choking him! Then, everyone scared because there's banging on the door as they're watching me choke him!
I don't fucking think so. I don't give a fuck if you're the big, big, boss. You scared my friends and the girl I care about! What she saw tonight she can't unsee. None of them can! So thanks Melissa you might have just ruined a chance she and I may have. If that was your end game then I hope you're fucking happy!"
"Andy," Ethan said putting a hand on her arm and she roughly shook it off.
"No, I'm not done! I don't give a shit if she doesn't like me after this. This entire vacation I've been meeting with their PR team and worrying about everything when all I wanted to do was relax and spend time with my new friends. Get to know the girl that makes my heart pound so loud that I hope she doesn't hear it. The girl who let me believe that there is magic in getting to know someone all over again. The girl who I can't stop thinking about. The girl who when I'm with I don't want to be any where else. The girl who is still by my side even though I have all these flaws. The girl who is amazingly talented and who is humble. The girl who when I look into her eyes I get so lost that sometimes I forget what she says because I'm so captivated by her.
The girl that helped me feel something again. The girl who for some reason I see a future with. The girl who I want nothing more than for her to reach her dreams and touch those souls that come see her and her best friends night after night. The girl whose words are captured and held in everyone's heart. The girl who I can see myself falling for. The girl who in a short amount of time put my broken heart back together. "
Andy finally stopped trying to catch her breath and looked at a stunned Melissa, "So if you're intentions were here to come and put a stop to that, then well, I guess you won. Because what she saw tonight and what I did I'm sure she doesn't want to see again. Good job Melissa," she said clapping her hands, "You did your job. Also I will not give my home address to you either."
"It was nice to finally meet you. Don't let the door hit you on your way out." Andy shook her head and walked passed a stunned Ethan. What the three didn't know was when Andy was going on her rant Angel opened the sliding doors to the kitchen and they heard every word Andy said to Melissa.
Melissa stood just as stunned. She turned around and saw the four of them standing there with the same expressions on their faces. She pointed at the four of them and used her index finger indicating for them to come towards her. Ethan rushed passed them and ran up the stairs to check on Andy. When he reached her room she was putting on different clothes. He thought she was dressing for the cold until she pulled out a pair of black shorts. They were her running shorts. He knew she needed to cool off, but he also knew she needed to be careful out there.
"Are you going to be warm enough?" He asked as she put on a white t shirt. She didn't say anything when she started to put on her socks and then grabbed her running shoes. She knew these would come in handy at some point. She grabbed her phone and then her ear buds. She plugged them in and put her earbuds in her ears. She grabbed her keys and took off the town house key off the ring and then grabbed her wallet. She put the key in her wallet and then put the wallet into her pocket.
When she was done gathering her things she hit play on her playlist on her phone and she brushed passed Ethan, "Don't wait up." She said and made a beeline for the door.
The five of them heard the door slam. Lynn rushed over to the door, when she opened it she saw Andy running down the sidewalk. She called after her but Andy didn't look back.
She went back inside and saw Ethan standing at the top of the stairs, "Let her be Lynn. She needs to calm down. She's upset about what you saw earlier. Also for Melissa being here." He said coming down the stairs. Lynn nodded and she saw the bruising on his neck from where Andy choked him earlier.
The two went back into the living room and sat down. Melissa cleared her throat and took a sip of her coffee. When she put the mug back down she smiled.
"What?" Brian asked.
Melissa just shrugged, "Well, she passed the test."
Lynn's eyes went wide, "What the fuck do you mean?!"

Kara came rushing up to the steps of her office building and saw a cold Andy sitting on them. When she got closer she saw what Andy was wearing and she could feel her heart break. Andy was shivering in the cold and the fresh snowfall.
Without a word she put her arms around Andy and helped her stand up, "I'm s-s-s-s-oo-oo-rr-rr-rryyy, I-I-I- didn't kno-kno-know wh-who else to call." Andy said through her chattering teeth. Kara nodded her head as she helped up the rest of the steps and opened the door to the building.
"No, it's okay, come on let's get you warm." She said, and she helped her inside. Taking it slow they went up the stairs and made it to Kara's office which luckily had a fire place.
She left Andy by the door so she could get a chair by the fireplace and start the fire. It didn't take long for her to do. When she got Andy to the chair by the fire she left the office and came back with a couple of blankets and some dry clothes.
She gave the clothes to Andy and she looked at Kara who just smiled, "They belonged to an ex boyfriend, but they're warm. Come on I'll help you change." She helped her get up and started to help Andy out of her cold wet clothes. Normally Andy would be self conscious about this but she was too cold to care about something like that.
"Okay your sports bra, and boxer briefs seem to be okay," Kara said and put Andy's wet t shirt, shorts, socks, and shoes by the fire so they could dry off. She started to help her in the sweater, pajama pants and fresh socks. She helped Andy sit down and then put the two blankets on her. One around the top part of her body and the other around her waist and legs.
"There's a kitchen downstairs, I'll get us some coffee to help you warm up. Where's your phone?"
"In my shorts along with my wallet." Andy said pulling the blanket tight around her. Kara nodded and picked up her shorts to get her wallet and phone out. She put her wallet onto of the fireplace mantle and then took out her phone and did the same. She put her shorts back where they were before and took Andy's phone to look at it.
"Looks like they were trying to get ahold of you." She looked at Andy and she was leaned back in the chair just staring into the fire.
"Do you want me to call them to let them know you're okay?" Andy didn't say anything she just kept staring into the fire. Kara took that as a no and put Andy's phone back on the mantle.
She walked to her side and put a hand on her shoulder, "I'll be back and if you're ready to talk we can. If not I'll still be here ready to talk." All Andy did was nod.
Kara walked to the doorway and looked back at Andy, whatever happened tonight was something that really upset her. She hoped that it didn't have to do with the trio. She walked out of her office and down the stairs towards the kitchen. She turned on the lights and started to make her way around the room. This was not how she pictured starting her morning.
When she woke up to her phone going off she gave a groggy greeting. When she didn't hear anything but sniffles and panting. She looked at her phone and saw Andy's name. She threw the covers off of her and swung her legs off of her bed.
She told Andy to meet her at her office building and that she would be there in ten minutes. Now here she was getting her warm and making her coffee. Something must have happened for Andy to come to her. The coffee machine beeped and Kara poured the hot liquid into two coffee mugs and put in some sugar and creamer. After she stirred up the coffee, she took the two mugs and walked back up the stairs to join Andy.
She entered her office and heard Andy's phone ringing. She walked up to Andy and gave her the cup of coffee which she gave her small smile and said thank you when she took it. Kara pulled up the other chair and sat down. When Andy's phone stopped ringing she looked over at Andy.
"Wanna talk about it?" She asked and Andy took a sip of her coffee.
She looked down at the cup and then at Kara, "I met Melissa tonight." She said in a small voice. Kara's eyes went wide and she moved the chair closer to Andy's.
"Oh, my God! What happened?"
Andy took another sip of her coffee and then cleared her throat and started from the beginning of what happened just a couple of hours earlier. Kara was on the edge of her seat listening to every word.

"Okay thanks Kara, we're on our way," Ethan said into his cell phone coming out of the kitchen.
"Andy's at Kara's office. She said that Andy called her about an hour ago and she found her on the steps practically frozen. She's been keeping Andy warm."
"Come on!" Lynn said as she was putting on her coat. Melissa left about forty five minutes ago but not without explaining why she did what she did.

"Lynn, honey, I had to make sure what she feels for you is real."
"So you coming here unannounced and scaring us half to death is your idea of a test?!" Lynn asked. She was pacing back and forth.
"Lynn, she's a fan of yours. I had to make sure that she wasn't just in it for the fame. If you only heard what she said about you. It was so heart warming."
"Oh, I heard every word. Trust me. But the way you got it out of her was just horrible Melissa! You couldn't have waited until later today or something?! Now she's out there and she's not answering her phone and it's freezing outside!"
"It's my job to protect you three as well as those that come close to you. Like Angel, she's with Brian and I have to protect her too from those people that want to give you a bad name. I just had to make sure her feelings were real. I had to see it for myself. One way for me to do that was to see how she would react to my showing up here out of no where."
Brian shook his head, "Why couldn't you just do what you did with Angel and Alexa? Just ask them a bunch of questions. What makes them different from Andy and Ethan?"
Melissa stood up and looked at the five in the living room, "Well, Brian you and Angel have been together before you three formed PVRIS. Alexa was a musician already so I knew the drill. But with Andy, like I said she's a fan of your band and I just had to make sure that she wasn't going to use you. Same with Ethan. Even though I haven't really gotten to know Ethan I know he has good intentions with you three. Now, I'm sorry for the way this happened. But I'm glad it did. So now we can move forward. I'll check up on you again before your tour starts."
She started to pack up her briefcase, and then closed it. "By the way tell Andy she makes one HELL of cup of coffee. I need to know what she does." She said with a smile and then looked at Ethan, "Coat." Without a word Ethan rushed to the front and grabbed Melissa's coat and helped in it.
"By the way, Andy has some news for you three as well. Once you get ahold of her ask about April. Ciao, I'm have a plane to catch back to Italy. Gonna finish my sabbatical and hopefully Mike will FINALLY come around when I come back. " With that she was out the door.
"Find Andy!" Lynn said and everyone got their cell phones from their pockets and either started to text Andy or call her.

"They're on their way," Kara said walking back over to Andy and sat down in her chair. Andy just nodded and looked into the fire. After another cup of coffee she was warm enough to at least take off the the first blanket.
"So you really said that to Melissa?" Kara asked with an amused looked.
Andy smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I mean I was pissed off. She scared my friends and plus Lynn saw something I did that I'm sure is a deal breaker for us now." Andy sighed and put her face in her hands.
Kara put a hand on Andy's shoulder, "I need to show you something," she said and stood up. She walked over to her desk and started to shuffle her papers around until she found what she was looking for. She had two pieces of paper and walked over to her chair and sat down.
"I wrote this down when Alexa and Lynn started dating." She gave Andy the piece of paper and read her the words, "Not going to last!"
Andy looked up at her with a confused look, " How did you know?"
Kara shook her head, "I had a feeling and the way Lynn would look at Alexa isn't the way she looks at you."
Andy still having her confused look Kara went on to explain more, "Okay, when I first saw them together yes they were happy, but something was missing. Not only in Lynn but also Alexa. Something just seemed off. Now what Alexa did was wrong yes, but I'm glad she let Lynn go. Otherwise she would not have found you.
That day you came into my office I saw the look in Lynn's eyes. She wasn't smiling but her eyes were. When she was standing behind you I thought I had to put on sunglasses she was glowing so much. I wrote these four words down when I mentioned Alexa and she put her hand on your shoulder. Without you not even looking you took her hand in yours. This is what I wrote."
She gave Andy the second paper with her handwriting on it and Andy read the words, "Forever, NO MATTER WHAT!"
Andy looked up at Kara, "How?"
Kara smiled and shrugged, "I just got a good feeling about you. I don't know what it is, but I know Lynn is in good hands. Also I stalked your social media profiles before you came to the meeting." She said with a small laugh.
Andy smiled and looked down at the words Kara wrote on that day, "Can I keep this?" She asked and Kara nodded. Andy thanked her and folded up the piece of paper and stood up. She took the few steps to the fire place mantle and picked up her wallet. Kara watched as Andy put the folded piece of paper in her wallet and she went back to her seat.
"Thank you," Andy said as she sat down. "I wasn't really expecting you to pick up when I called."
Kara shook her head and waved her hand, "I may be on their PR team, but I am also a friend. Besides no one EVER calls at almost three in the morning if it wasn't urgent."
"Thank God!" The two woman heard and before they could turn their heads Andy had arms wrapped around so tight she could barley breathe. She saw the dyed blonde hair and just smiled. But before she could wrap her arms around Lynn she stood up and slapped Andy.
Andy stunned but nodded her head, "I deserve that," she said softly and Lynn put a hand over her mouth and tears started to form in her eyes.
She just realized what she had done. She got down on her knees in front of Andy, "Just please don't leave me like that again." She said holding back her sobs.
Andy looked at her and nodded, "I promise. I'm so sorry." She said touching Lynn's cheek. Lynn wrapped her arms around Andy and she did the same.
Kara stood up and ushered the others out of the room. Once they were in the hallway Kara closed the door to her office and looked at the four standing in front of her.
"Andy called me, and she just finished explaining everything. Now, can you four explain to me your side of the story?"
Back in the office the Lynn was letting out a soft sob and Andy just held her in her arms. She knew leaving the way she did was wrong but she just had to get away from Melissa. After what happened and she just had to get as far away as possible.
Lynn climbed into Andy's lap and she couldn't help but smile, "What are you doing?" Andy asked in a soft voice. Lynn buried her face in Andy's neck and she could feel warmth of Lynn's breath against her neck.
"I just want to be close to you right now." Lynn said in a muffled whisper. "Did you really mean all those things you said back at the town house?"
Andy's eyes went wide in surprise and she pulled her away to look at Lynn and she lifted her head and looked back at Andy, "What?"
"You, you, you, heard what I said?" She asked.
Lynn nodded and touched her cheek, "Every word. Did you really mean everything?"
All Andy could do was nod her head looking into those hazel eyes trying not to get lost like she had every time before.
Lynn started to tear up again and Andy used her thumb to wipe away the escaped tears. "I meant every word." She whispered and Lynn leaned in just as their lips were about to met the office door burst open.
Alex rushed up to them, "Andy! Melissa said we needed to ask you about April."
"Fuck Alex! Way to ruin the moment!" Lynn said wiping her eyes and scrambled to get off of Andy's lap.
Andy let out a frustrated sigh and stood up. "Before I tell you, I think one of you needs to call Mark. He needs to be here for this."

Mark showed up to Kara's office within thirty minutes and he was out of breath, "What's wrong?" Was the first thing he said when he rushed into the office.
Kara walked up to him, "Calm down. Andy has something to tell us."
Andy looked up and saw everyone staring at her. She stood in front of the fire and looked at everyone. She wanted to smile but she had to keep her face calm.
"Back in New York when I was alone with Erika she kinda let something slip." She started to say. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and opened her eyes, "Ethan remember how we always talked about going to Coachella?"
Ethan's eyes widened, "Wait, are we going?!"
Andy nodded, "We're going alright and they," she said pointing at Brian, Alex and Lynn, "Are going to be performing both weekends."
"Are you serious?!"
"WHAT?!"
"Hold on a minute!"
The trio said all at once and Andy couldn't help but laugh, "It's true. Erika has passes for Ethan and me for both weekends she's going to send to us once we get to Georgia. Also Lynn already knows this, but the restaurant is being delayed and my Uncle doesn't have an exact date yet. So he gave me a choice."
Everyone looked at her waiting for her to finish, "Either start at his main restaurant and learn from him slowly." She paused and she took another deep breath.
"OR?!" Alex almost shouted, and Andy couldn't help but laugh.
"OR, Ethan and I take an extended vacation after we move to Georgia." She looked at Lynn who smiled and turned to Mark.
"Remember when we came back and you asked me to ask Andy if I could bring her on tour?" She asked and Mark nodded.
"Well I wanted to see if that offer was still up for grabs for the both of them. I'm sure we could find something for them to do. I wanted to bring it up to you two as well." She said turning to Alex and Brian.
"Would it be okay if they came on tour with us?" Lynn asked her best friends. The two got close and to the others it looked like they were having a deep conversation, but the two of them were just pretending to have one.
"OF COURSE! We could use some fresh blood on the road!" Brian said throwing up his arms.
"I could use some new topics of conversations with some one new!" Alex said with a wink and smile at Ethan.
Now everyone turned to Mark who was just smiling and shaking his head, "I'll make the arrangements. But it's almost seven and I haven't had breakfast yet. I'm sure there's something open. I'll go and grab some breakfast and call Liz to get the girls ready and come here. This is exciting news! I can't wait for this tour!" He said with a smile and walked out of the office in hunt of some breakfast.
Lynn walked up to Andy and put her arms around her waist, "So this means I'll be with you on your birthday." Andy said kissing Lynn's forehead. She closed her eyes feeling Andy's warm lips against her skin.
But then she pulled back, "Wait, how do you know when my birthday is?!"
Andy smiled and shook her head and then pointed at herself, "A fan remember. We do our research." Lynn playfully hit her on the chest and all Andy did was laugh.
She pulled her close again, "I'm sorry for leaving the way I did. Part of it was because of Melissa the other part was you seeing what I did to Ethan." She said tucking a strand of hair behind Lynn's ear.
"I guess this would be a good time to tell you that I get nightmares and night terrors. So when some one shakes me awake like he did, it triggers it. Then, I kind of get stuck in this trance and I try to fight off who ever it is. It's a reaction. I've been going to therapy for it for years. I thought it would scare you away." She looked down avoiding Lynn's eyes but then Lynn put her finger under Andy's chin and raised her head, but Andy still wasn't looking at her.
"Hey, look at me," she said and Andy's eyes finally met hers, "If you think what happened earlier was going to scare me away, then you are sorely mistaken Andrea. It'll take a LOT more than that to scare me away from you. We have all the time in the world to learn about each other's flaws. We're not perfect in any way but for some reason we're going to be perfect together."
Andy smiled, "Now look who knows what to say."
"Shut up and kiss me." They smiled as they leaned in for a kiss and their lips met still smiling. Alex shook his head looking at the two by the fire place. He couldn't help but think that this was a picture perfect moment. He took out his phone from his pocket and snapped a quick picture. Ethan was doing the same thing and they both looked at each other and chuckled.
"Well looks like you're going on tour with us," Alex said putting a hand on Ethan's shoulder.
He nodded, "Yeah, I'm ready. If you need some one to tune anything let me know. I used to do it for my dad's band back in Wisconsin."
"Do you play anything?" Brian asked as he came up to them.
Ethan shook his head, "No, that's all Andy. But my dad taught me how to tune a few instruments here and there. I help out Andy with her guitars and drums back at Mary's."
"What about Andy? What can we have her do?" Alex asked looking back at her and Lynn they were in a deep conversation. But they were smiling and quietly laughing. Alex smiled looking at his best friend. His heart swelled up because he was glad to see a real smile on her face for the first time in a long time.
"She's good with setting up mics and equipment. She's also really awesome with a camera and she can do videos and everything." Ethan said looking in the same direction as Alex. He too was happy to see his best friend actually smile a real smile.
Andy and Lynn must have felt eyes on them because they both looked up and saw everyone looking at them. Andy took Lynn's hand in hers and they walked up to everyone.
"So Brian, Angel, Lynn and I have something to ask you both." Andy said and she looked at Lynn who just smiled and nodded.
Angel came up to Brian and smiled, "What's up?"
"Well, I want to take Lynn out on another date, but we were wondering if you two would like to double with us."
Angel smiled and took Brian's hand and he smiled and looked at his girlfriend and nodded, "That would be great! When?"
"How about tonight?" Andy asked, "I mean I'm sure after breakfast we all could use some rest, but tonight around say, around seven?" Andy asked.
"Sounds good I could get ready at your place.  Angel and Lynn could get ready at ours." Brian said and the three nodded.
"What did you have in mind?" Angel asked.
"Well that I will talk to Brian about," Andy said stepping away from Lynn and stood next to Brian putting her arm around his shoulders. Angel let go of Brian's hand and stood next to Lynn.
"Oookkaayy?" Angel said in an unsure voice.
Kara came up to them and touched Andy's arm, "Sorry guys but I just need to borrow Andy for a moment." Andy followed Kara to the hallway and watched as Kara closed the door.
"What's up?" Andy asked and Kara just smiled and showed her something on her phone. It was a picture of her and Lynn by the fire place in an embrace.
"It's getting attention and I just got a text from both Erika and Melissa. Erika said that you want to ask Lynn to be your girlfriend."
Andy nodded, "Yeah, on New Years Eve."
"Well I can tell you that even if Melissa didn't approve of you I'm sure you were going to ask anyway."
Again Andy nodded, "Yeah, I feel like it's time. We've been getting to know each other and having an amazing time together. I figured she's ready and I'm ready to take it to the next level." Kara smiled and nodded.
"I can tell you that the text Melissa sent me is pretty much her blessing for you to take it to the next level with Lynn. She was a little surprised about your outburst, but she trusts you and she wasn't expecting you to say all those things about Lynn. She said she's never heard anyone talk about someone like that before. She's been at this a long time and you left an impression on her. You may not like her now, but she does have a soft spot for romance." Kara smiled and really looked at Andy this time.
"What ever you two have it's something that everyone looks for, and the fact that you two just happened to find it out of nowhere is amazing. I just want you to remember to not let anyone get to you about this. You may get a lot of negative comments here and there but just remember who you are and remember where you came from. That's what I tell these guys all the time and they've been humble about everything since the beginning. I know you two have a future and I can't wait to see what you two create down the road."
Andy smiled and took a step towards Kara and gave her a hug, "Thank you," she whispered and a stunned Kara smiled and returned the hug.
When they stepped away a little voice was heard down the hall, "MISS KARA!" A little girl about six with red hair came running up to her and Kara bent down to pick her up.
"Hey there Miss Emma." She said with a smile. Another girl with red hair about ten came rushing up to them as well, "Miss Kara!" she said as she rushed to hug Kara.
Mark walked up to them with a toddler with red hair as well, who was in his arms still a little sleepy.
"Liz is downstairs setting everything up in the kitchen. These two couldn't wait to see you." He said to Kara.
She smiled, "I always love seeing Miss Emma and Miss Lily!" She said taking Lily's hand and still had Emma in her arms, "We'll meet you downstairs." She said to Andy and she smiled and nodded then looked at Mark.
"Let's go eat!" He said and he walked into the office to let everyone know that breakfast was ready downstairs.
Andy could hear Alex say, "FINALLY! I'm starving!" Of course he was the first one out of the office and almost ran towards the stairs. Andy shook her head and she watched as everyone left the room and when Lynn came out she smiled and put her arm around her shoulders.
Lynn put her arm around Andy's waist and they both followed everyone down the stairs. Mark stared after the couple and smiled. He was so happy to see Lynn happy again. Only this time he could tell she was truly happy. Even Alex was happier this time and he didn't know the reason why at the moment. But as long as his second favorite trio was happy then he was happy. His first trio was of course his daughters.
He was the last to leave the hallway and he could hear laughter and chattering from the kitchen. For the first time in a long time he was actually looking forward to a tour. He couldn't wait to see what Ethan and Andy would bring. New Years was just around the corner and then he would have to get back to work to get things ready. But for now he would enjoy the rest of the time he had with his family.

"Okay, I'm going to bed!" Ethan said once he and Andy walked into the town home.
During their breakfast everyone started to talk about the tour and what Andy and Ethan could do to help out. They also talked about Coachella, and how excited they were to be playing both weekends. Everyone was just enjoying each other's company. Brian and Andy were discreetly texting each other about the double date they were going to have tonight.
They decided to go dinner first, and then go to see the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony Orchestra. Andy looked up the times and they made a deal that Andy would buy dinner and Brian would get the tickets.
After the symphony they would see where the night would take them. They could take in the sights and just enjoy their time together. Tomorrow they would go check out the spot for their camp out for New Years Eve.
But right now everyone could use some rest. Andy let out a yawn and she didn't realize how tired she was. When they left Kara's office she told Andy that she would take care of her t shirt, shorts, shoes and socks. She was able to find an extra pair of shoes since Andy's was still wet from the snow. Of course they were from an ex boyfriend of Kara's and they were a size too big. But they kept Andy's feet dry.
Lynn called David and asked if he could pick the four of them up and Kara offered to take Ethan and Andy back to their town home. Everyone said their byes and thanked Mark and Liz for breakfast. Lynn and Andy said a quick good bye this time. Only because Andy saw Lynn yawn at least seven times and she wanted her to get some rest.
Once everyone said their byes and when David pulled up they all went their separate ways. Andy stripped off the borrowed clothes and decided to take a quick shower before she fully got ready to get some sleep.
Her phone when off and she smiled thinking it was Lynn, but it was a number that she didn't know. She looked confused but she just ignored it and got ready to take a shower. She left her phone on the nightstand and she went to the bathroom.
After her quick shower and feeling much better she walked into her room and found another pair of sweat pants she brought. Part of her was a little disappointed that Lynn wasn't sleeping next to her because she got used to her being by her side. But the other part of her was happy because that meant she could sleep shirtless and that's how she preferred to sleep.
She checked her phone and smiled when she read a text from Lynn saying what she was just thinking. About sleeping next to each other. Andy sent her a quick text saying the same thing and that she couldn't wait for tonight. She told Lynn to get some sleep and that she would see each other in a few hours.
Andy got settled into bed and hit play on a meditation she found and she was just about to drift off when her phone started to ring. Letting out a frustrated sigh she picked up her phone to look at it and it was a number she didn't know. She hit ignore and put her phone back on the night stand and let the mediation play.
She finally drifted off to sleep with a small smile on her face. She hoped that she would dream of Lynn while she slept. This morning started out really tense, but then it turned around. Now, she couldn't wait to have another date with the girl she never thought in her wildest dreams she would have a date with. 2018 was going to be here in a few days and it was looking bigger and better.
