"Mornin' Sunshine," Ashley teased when Kelly walked into the kitchen looking disheveled.
Kelly groaned in reply.
"Yea, that's usually what happens when you sleep with someone on a sofa," Ashley nodded. "You never really feel too good when you wake up."
"Yea, I guess not," she laughed softly.
"Cowgirl's still asleep?"
"Yea."
"And Kate?"
"Still out cold. I'd love to know when was the last time she got a full night's sleep."
"Jill means a lot to her."
"I know," she frowned.
"Don't worry," Ashley squeezed her shoulder. "You're doing everything you can to help her out."
"I hope so, I mean, she chose to stand by me instead of her best friend...how do you repay that?"
"You're doing great," Ashley assured.
Kelly looked over her shoulder at the sound of someone walking into the kitchen, "Hey you."
"Hey," Kate smiled tiredly.
"Slept good?" Kelly held an arm out.
Kate nodded, yawning as stepped in between her and Ashley.
"So..." Ashley smirked at her best friend. "Did I hear correctly last night?"
"I swear we kept our hands to ourselves," Kelly replied quickly.
Kate laughed.
Ashley rolled her eyes, "Thank God for that, but no, that's not what I meant."
"Then what did you mean?" Kelly asked.
"I believe I heard the 'l' word getting thrown around..."
Kate's jaw dropped as she looked at Kelly.
Kelly blushed as she smiled, "You know, you may have heard correctly."
"She told you she loved you?" Kate grinned.
"Actually, I said it first."
"You said it first?" Ashley asked in shock.
"Yes, I did."
"Wow, never saw that one coming."
"Hey, I'm full of surprises," Kelly shrugged, laughing.
Ashley shook her head, reaching out for her, "Come here."
Kelly hugged her tightly before she felt Kate pulling her into a hug as well.
"I'm so happy for you," Kate smiled, rubbing her back.
"Thanks," Kelly bit her lip as she pulled back.
"Are you nervous?" Ashley questioned.
"A little," she nodded. "Like a giddy nervous, you know?"
"Love can do that to you," Ashley smiled. "And I have to say, I know I give the girl a lot of shit, but y'all are so amazing together it's ridiculous, and I'm really happy for you both."
"See?" Carrie smirked from behind them. "I knew you loved me."
Ashley groaned.
"It's ok," Carrie wrapped an arm around her. "Don't try to fight it. I mean, Kelly's already fallen, so of course a lesser person would too."
"Kelly..." Ashley warned.
Kelly laughed, staying out of it.
"Love you too, Ash," Carrie kissed her cheek with a loud smack before quickly moving to Kelly's side, holding her hand.
Kelly put a protective arm around her as Ashley's eyes narrowed.
"She won't always be there to save you," Ashley warned.
"You're all talk," Carrie countered.
"I don't know what the hell I ever did to make you feel comfortable enough around me to come out of your shell, but I regret it everyday."
"Go ahead, talk tough, but I heard you. You said you're happy for the both of us."
"So?"
"They're always like this?" Kate whispered.
"All the time," Kelly nodded.
"So that means that you're happy that I've found someone that loves me and treats me well," Carrie pointed out. "You totally care about me."
"I care about her," she pointed to Kelly. "And for some unknown reason, maybe she was abducted by aliens or something, I don't know, but for some reason she cares about you, and as her best friend, I just want her to be happy."
"You're totally in denial. But that's ok, whenever you're ready to admit it, I'll still be here for you."
Ashley shook her head, chuckling, "Kelly..."
"Come on, Care," Kelly smiled, wrapping her other arm around her as well. "Why don't we leave Ashley alone so she can fix some breakfast. You don't want her poisoning you, now do you?"
"But this is fun," she pointed out.
"You know what else is fun?" Kelly raised an eyebrow as Carrie turned to her. "A nice hot shower...with me..."
Carrie's eyes lit up before she turned back to Ashley, "Sorry to love ya and leave ya, but duty calls, my friend...Kate," she nodded at the other girl.
"Carrie," Kate nodded back, laughing softly. "Congratulations, I heard the three little words were finally shared."
Carrie smiled broadly as Kelly squeezed her gently, "Yep, they were...thanks, girl."
"I'm really happy for you guys."
Carrie reached out, squeezing her arm, "Thanks, and while I'd love to sit and talk about this, and just soak in the amazingness of it, my girl needs me, so..."
"Go ahead," she laughed.
"Your girl, huh?" Kelly playfully tugged Carrie out of the kitchen.
"Yea, I know you get all hot and bothered when I call you that," Carrie teased.
"Ok, that's it, I hereby ban all talk of sex in the kitchen," Ashley announced. "It's just not right with food around."
Kelly paused as she was about to pull Carrie out the door, "So no talking about sex in the kitchen...that doesn't mean we can't actually have sex in the kitchen, right?"
Ashley groaned.
"She said it, not me," Carrie raised her hands in surrender.
"Come on, you," Kelly giggled, dragging her out the room. "As far as I know, it hasn't been banned from the shower, yet."
"Well, then we better hurry before it does," Carrie nodded.
"I swear..." Ashley mumbled under her breath as the door closed behind them.
"You know you do love her," Kate giggled.
"It's kinda hard not to when you see your best friend that happy," Ashley nodded. "And she can kinda be funny...sometimes..."
"Don't worry," Kate patted her back. "Your secret's safe with me."
Ashley rolled her eyes at the soft sound of giggling coming from the other end of the house, "I just wish they weren't so damn horny all the time."
Kate laughed, taking a grape from the bowl of fruit Ashley had pulled out.

Kelly pouted, watching as Carrie slipped on her shoes.
Carrie smiled, reaching out and pulling her onto her feet, "I'm gonna be back in a few days."
"I know, I just..."
"I'm gonna miss you too," she leaned forward, kissing her softly.
Kelly stepped closer, deepening the kiss.
Carrie wrapped her arms around her, holding her close.
Kelly smiled, kissing the tip of her nose, "Have a safe flight, ok?"
"Ok," she nodded.
"Two fairs, then you're coming back?"
"Two fairs, and I'm coming back," she assured. "Will you be back?"
"Yea, I'm going to New York tomorrow to film a couple performances for a few tv shows, then I'm coming right back."
"People are going crazy over this thing with Alex's mom," Carrie frowned. "We've kinda been living in a little bubble for the past few days."
"We're gonna be fine," Kelly replied, rubbing Carrie's back.
"I know, we're gonna be fine," she smiled. "I was worried about you."
"I'm gonna be fine. I'm not doing any interviews. I'm not answering any questions. Flying there tonight, performing tomorrow morning, flying back tomorrow night."
"So just a quickie..."
"Just a quickie," Kelly giggled, kissing her. "Call me when you get there?"
"Of course," she nodded. "So what are you plans for the rest of the weekend after you get back?"
"I'm gonna try to get into a studio--I have a few more songs I want to record, and I'm probably gonna take Jay and go down to the hospital and visit over there. The kids seem to really like them."
"They view him as an equal," Carrie teased.
Kelly laughed, "Yea..I may see if Kate wants to come. She's good with little kids."
"Good idea."
"I'm also gonna meet with the hospital and with my lawyer and just see how everything's going."
"Call me after and fill me in?"
"Absolutely."
"Ok," Carrie kissed her once more. She grinned as Kelly playfully tugged on her bottom lip. "So...just a quickie?"
"Just a quickie," Kelly nodded, licking her lips as Carrie pushed her back on the bed.

"Hey," Ashley looked up when Kelly walked into the house.
"Hey," Kelly replied softly, walking over to the sofa where she sat.
"She caught her flight?" Ashley asked, wrapping an arm around her as Kelly rested her head on her shoulder.
"Yea..."
"It's just a few days, and you're going to be busy too...she'll be back before you know it."
"I know. I'm just spoiled to being around her all the time. We've been really lucky with our schedules."
"You have," Ashley agreed. "But she's gonna have fun hanging out with her band and performing again, and so will you because while you love each other, y'all are both independent, successful people that don't depend on others for their happiness...which is great thing."
"I know," she sighed. "But before I become independent and successful again, can I get at least fifteen minutes of pouting time?"
"I think that's perfectly acceptable," Ashley nodded, wrapping her arm tighter around her.
"Good, because I really miss her."
"I know," Ashley smiled.
"This love thing sucks sometimes."
"It does, but if I know you two, y'all had some really great sex right before she left for the airport, so it's not like it sucks that bad."
Kelly giggled, "Yea."
Ashley laughed, shaking her head, "I swear..."
