Part Thirteen – Freedom
Kyo took a long moment to wait before he did indeed, open his eyes as the Djinn suggested he do. The pixie took inhaled a deep breath, and as he did so - he felt something begin to wrap around his waistline, the weight and texture of the mystery feeling light and familiar. The sensation of his skirt was back upon his person! That alone made him wish to open his eyes, to look, but something in the back of his mind told him it would be best not to peer out yet. He could still feel his back against Miyavi’s chest, after all. The Djinn’s arm was still wrapped around Kyo, the length of the appendage resting on the blonde’s bare chest, his hand gripping his shoulder gently – massaging. Kyo could still feel the beauty’s breaths in his point tipped ear. The pixie felt the other brush his long, elegant fingers across the collar that had been affixed to his throat, and as those digits caressed it, the thing seemed to vanish – the gentle weight of it evaporating at the touch of the Djinn. As that happened, Kyo felt the weight of his dagger in its sheath upon his thigh. But he did not feel the one thing that he wanted most removed leave him. He licked his lips lightly, and he let one hand stray down below his waist. He skimmed his fingers beneath the much missed side hem of his slit sided skirt, feeling over his own flesh gently before he let the digits wonder forth, towards his inner thigh. He bit his bottom lip in worry as he neared the place where the heated seal had been placed.
“What’s the matter, Prince of Dragons?” Miyavi’s hot whisper in his ear made him turn his cheek closer to the feel of breath over his flesh. He couldn’t help but be aroused by the Djinn, there was simply something strange about being in his embrace. There was also something horrible to it as well, something his mind was trying to uncover – and yet, he could not think of a single reason to be afraid. After all, wasn’t the other helping him become free?
“Nothing.” Kyo let the word escape from his lips in a single breathless sound, his fingers stopping almost atop of the mark. A second past of fear, and then hope shown in his heart brightly, urging his fingers forward a little more. Smooth, flawless skin greeted his touch; until . . . His fingers stopped once more, and a little, sorrowful whine left his slightly parted lips. “No!” He gasped. He could just feel the edges of it. The mark was still there! A soft growl left his lips, and he pulled away from Miyavi’s arms in a strong, angry rush. “Djinn, you’ve betrayed me!” He turned around and opened his eyes – but he was no longer in the dark room that housed Kaoru and the Djinn. That Djinn was also no longer there with him. However, there was that signature, haunting little giggle sounding out around Kyo that made the pixie’s blood run like ice through his veins. It echoed eerily through the trees surrounding him, and it whispered across his bare skin like a snake that was brushing its coils about its prey in a tease before it squeezed it to death. Kyo hissed a clicking growl once again, baring his teeth as he turned full circle. He was in mid air, and he’d not even noticed until that second.
He was his miniature size – his wings fluttering quickly to keep him hovering far over the leaf strewn forest floor. After he let out his angry noise, the trilling click of annoyance kept sounding from him as he peered around at the formation and types of trees which surrounded him. Kyo was trying to figure out where exactly the Djinn’s magic had dumped him. It did not take him long to let his mind sort out his whereabouts, and when it did so – his eyes widened and he silenced himself quickly. He flew lower, as the area of forest was familiar to him in a very frightful fashion. This part of forest was not a welcoming place to be in, for one such as himself. No pixie ever purposely flew into this patch of woodlands, unless of course they had a horrible death wish. Kyo darted quickly towards a batch of underbrush growing nearby. There was a briar bush in it, and he knew that he was small enough not be snagged by the thorns. What lived in this neck of the woods would not dare reach appendage into a briar bush after something so small as he was, or so he’d like to think. He entered the bush and let his feet land upon a smooth area of branch, his delicate wings folding softly against his back. He crouched down, the palm of his hand going to a nearby thorn to support himself, the smooth curve of dangerous plant life not harming him since he did not dare touch the hooked tip. His shoulders were tense and he looked around inside the wrap of branches around him, his heart sitting in his throat. Kyo swallowed down the worry knot that had formed there, and he leaned forward to scent the outer world through the opening he’d passed into the bush through. He hoped that the strong stench of what hunted this part of forest did not reach him when he checked for it in the safety of the bush. If it did not, he could pop out of the briars and make a made dash for the direction of home and hope that nothing saw him. But he was not so lucky as he hoped. Right as he filled his nostrils with air, a foul smell greeted his search and he cringed, turning his face from the putrid stench. Goblins were closing in on his location, and they were closing fast. Had they smelled him, or had Miyavi somehow alerted them to his presence? Either way . . . the Djinn had delivered Kyo into the hands of a wild hunt that would most likely result in his death if he could not escape somehow.
“Do’ye smell tha?” A hissed voice asked from outside the briars. Kyo went still, crouching lower still. The stink of wild goblins was thick in the air, and he could feel his bile rising in his throat from the stench of them. There were two outside of his briar bush; he could see them both. They were each short and rounded, with the green bodies that reminded him of a hybrid of toads and wild boars, nasty olive colored splotches across their leathery, bare skin. They both had long, shaggy black hair that looked to be dripping with grease, the fringe across their foreheads all but plastered to their skin. Their heads were narrow near the top – and each had one eye socket filled with thousands of tiny eyes – all of them looking around in all directions, and none of them corresponding with another in search of the area surrounding them. Their jaws were wide, with loose jowls that seemed to be gathered in folds over their necks. Kyo moved himself further into the bush, being careful of the thorns around him as he went – hoping not to shake the branches and stir the goblins’ interest further. The one that had not spoken opened its mouth – showing off that the jowls stretched out to let his jaw unhinge like a snake – creating a cavern for an orifice. That cavern was filled with three rows of sharp, nasty teeth on both the top and bottom. After it closed its mouth, it took in a breath through its nose curiously. It then looked at its twin and nodded. “Pixie flesh.” The first one grunted.
“Aye. Young’en, too . . .” He scented the air once again through a rounded, flat snot – and a nasty grin covered its face. “S’a breeder, I smell another l’over it. But s’womb near not full formed, not quite yet.” The second spoke. “It’ll be ikkle. Able to flit’bout.” He nodded his grotesque head – the thousand of tiny eyes then zeroed in on the briar bush before them. He nudged his twin with his elbow and pointed to the briars. “S’in there, da stupid thing.”
“Wait!” The first growled, and he scented the air himself, breathing it in hard through a long, pointed nose– the main difference between himself and his brother. “D’ye scent the one l’over it?” He gripped his twin’s little stumpy arm tightly with his long, skinny fingers. “That’s Sidhe there, t’is . . . We should get the Master.”
“But if’n we goesn’ fetch him, the ikkle one’ll flit off! Then what’ll we bring Hakuei backta?” The second smacked the first upside his head after he shrugged his arm free of the hand upon it. “Think, ya stupid oaf!”
At about this time, Kyo had unsheathed his blade and was getting ready to flit out of the bush and try to make a break for it, his dagger drawn in case he needed to slash at the two nitwits outside of the bush. His free hand had its claws bared as well; the natural weapons ready and sharp in case they too needed to be plied. He was creeping towards the back of the bush easily, hoping the two would distract one another long enough for him to get away without being noticed until he was a good distance away from the two. However, as soon as he got to the very back of the bush, he’d noticed the two had grown very quiet. He bit his lip and peeked out. Nothing. Had they indeed gone for their Master? Not likely. They probably had seen the bush swaying with his movements, and had decided to stay where he could not see them, and pounce him once he was clear of the branches. Well, he wasn’t going to fall for that! He backed into the brush once more, lowering himself again into a crouch – his blade held in preparation for any attack which may come. He snarled low, knowing they knew exactly where he was – his sound a high trilling to their ears. And then he felt the hand clutch around his ankle, and he turned his face over his shoulder to see one of the nasty creatures as small as he was, gripping onto a thorn with its other hand, kneeled on the same branch he was.
“Boo.” It smiled at him, spreading its mouth to show the full array of its front row of teeth. Kyo screamed and turned fully in its grip, his wings fluttering madly as he growled and lashed out at the smiling grotesque creature. His blade caught the goblin’s left jowl – thick, putrid smelling blood which was as black as night spurted from the deep wound. It burned the branches it hit, and Kyo had to dodge the splatters so it would not burn him as he let out a trilling shriek of momentary victory.
During the cutting, the creature had screamed and released Kyo, and the pixie darted from the bush as fast as lighting after giving his cry of joy at harming the goblin – but only to run into a collection of bars before him, full force. He crashed roughly and fell to the floor of the tiny cage in a heap of limbs and wing, one of the delicate structures breaking when he landed on it. He let out a scream of pain, and folded both the gauze-textured things, going onto his hands and knees immediately. A deep, chuckling laugh greeted his ears as he slowly recovered, panting from pain and breathlessness.
“The two of you idiots have done very well.” The new voice spoke, making Kyo stop and go very still as he tried to recover. “This one is indeed been mated by a Sidhe. I can smell it all over him. I was wondering why that stink was filling my forest. And now, I know.” The voice was like a purr, deep and soft and rumbling. Kyo kept his eyes lowered, not wanting to look up to see what was peering at him through the wooden bars. It sounded strikingly familiar, but in a way that he did not like. The voice sounded like Kaoru’s, but not so perfectly it was an exact match. It sounded older, and strangely somehow more refined and so very much the more cruel. What had Miyavi gotten him into?

A/N - First and foremost, I am SO sorry that took so long for me to post, and was so short! The next few chapters will be pretty important, and from what my muses are telling me, really violent. They will contain bloodshed, rape and most likely at least two character deaths. They will take me a while to complete, due to the fact of the content, and the fact that writing this takes a lot of energy for some odd reason. I hope everyone can wait patiently, and I'm sorry if the story isn't turning out as well as everyone thought it would. I really am not good at writing stuff like this, but its begging to be released. So, if everything doesn't run smoothly, I apologize now. ::nods:: Hope everyone keeps reading though -.-;
