“Are you sure you wanna do this?” Mark looked at Jonathan in total disbelief.
“I’m positive.” Jonathan looked at Mark, seemingly calm but inside he was shit scared. He’d just blurted out something that he had been thinking about for a very long time. Never in a million years had he thought that he’d actually have the courage to say it out loud. Let alone, say it out loud to Mark and then make him an offer.
Jonathan had just offered Mark, to produce and direct the documentary that Nigel wanted to make initially. He knew that Gary and Mark were up for it, Howard too, Jason maybe if he knew Nigel had nothing to do with it, and Robbie…Jonathan was just sure that once the ball was rolling, Robbie just had to be a part of it. Jonathan had also placed the idea of Take That doing more than just a documentary.
“If all goes well, there may be some more fun for you guys waiting for you.”
“What kinda fun?”
Jonathan opened his laptop, “D’you see this?” He pointed at his screen, an Internet page popped up with endless messages.
“What’s that?” Mark asked.
“This, my friend, is a Take That fansite.”
Mark looked at the page where he saw countless of topics concerning him and his former band mates were apparently being discussed.
“I opened an account there, just to read and see some things, you will not believe what you read there.” Jonathan smiled and his eyes twinkled like a little boy in the candy store.
“You seem more excited about my former career then the one I have now?” Mark mockingly said.
“You know I believe in you more than your own mother. But I’ve always believed in the Take That projects too. Except, none of them work since none of those other guys have what you had.”
“What’s that?”
“Talent, and good management.”
Mark belted out his famous laugh, “We never had proper management.”
“Yes, you did. Nigel was a damn good manager, to the band. Not to the members of the band though.”
Mark had to agree with Jonathan, if anything, Nigel had gotten them to soaring heights.
“Mark,” Jonathan was having that serious look again, “I am offering you good management. To the band and its members.”
Mark looked at him with his mouth open, ready to roar with laughter. But he never laughed, because all of a sudden he knew how important this moment was. If he waved this away, this might never happen again. He looked at a message on the Internet page:
“Take That, Never Forgotten!”
“They are still out there aren’t they?” He asked Jonathan.
“The Take That fans are waiting mate,” Jonathan patted him on the shoulder.
“I’ll get Gary on the phone.”

One Month Later
“There you are,” with a big smile on her face, Charlotte turned over the key to her house to her landlord. She was so happy she hardly believed her luck. The key to her new house was burning in her pocket and she couldn’t wait to get her stuff sorted. Things had gone so fast, after their first night together, Charlotte had hardly left Jason’s house. She gone home more to collect stuff rather than live in it. For Jason it had been a welcome change to have someone in his house with him. Living together with anyone else had never seemed very appealing to him, but with Charlotte it was so natural. They were very at ease with each others company, silences were never uncomfortable and they both had missed the physical contact a lot, it was nice and also flattering to feel you are loved.
Now, all of her stuff was packed and stowed in a gigantic truck, and on its way over to Jason’s house. Jason had suggested her living with him about a week ago, he just didn’t want to be without her ever again. His mum had asked him if it wasn’t a bit too soon, but quickly changed her mind and locked her new daughter-in-law in her heart as soon as she’d met her. She couldn’t have been more proud when she saw her son, for whom she’d been worrying a lot over the past few years, so happy with his girlfriend.
Charlotte turned the key of what was now her new house and giggled a little as she did a small happy dance in the hallway.
Entering the living room, she saw the huge bouquet of roses on the table with a little note.
Dear Charlie,
This is the best decision of our lives, thank you for holding out with me.
Today is the first day of the rest of our lives!
Love, J.
She sighed and lightly pressed the note to her chest as if it was Jason himself. She wished he was here now so she could live this moment with him but of course, today was an important day to Jason too.

“Gentlemen,” Mark held out his glass, “let’s give a toast to our new manager.”
Jonathan beamed as they all clinked the champagne. Inside his bag he had five documents that he had fought for, for so long. Four of them were signed. He was now officially the new manager of Take That.
They mutually agreed, that this wasn’t going to be news they were bringing out just yet. They didn’t even know if it was necessary to have a new manager. The reason for why they were all together again, was the documentary. Robbie had decided not to resign for Take That but was still thinking about doing the documentary. After he’d heard that Nigel wasn’t going to do it, or at least, the lads weren’t making it with Nigel but with Jonathan he still was hesitant. Jonathan had hoped all obstacles would’ve been out of the way had Nigel been out of the picture but for Robbie it wasn’t so.
All the other lads had decided to do the documentary and Jonathan was going forward, be it four Take That members or five.

“Have you made up your mind?” Julia asked Rob as he was lingering over at the fax machine.
“Yeah, I think so.” Rob was holding the paper with his answer written in clear handwriting in the middle of the page.
“Then fax it,” Julia said. Trying to withhold her curiosity as to what his answer would be.
Silence was all she received from the other end of the room.
She heard him walk to the kitchen and grab a can of coke he returned to the couch with her and sat down.
“Whatever you do, I agree.” She said looking at him from the corner of her eyes.
He grinned.
“Nigel will be pissed off to the max.” he said.

The fax machine rattled in the back of the room and all of a sudden the drunken glee was silenced. Jonathan nearly jumped at it to get the fax that was coming in.
When the paper finally fell in the tray, he picked it up with care, as if scared to break it.
Will do the docu, Rob.
That was all that was written on the paper, but it was enough.

After a great night filled with alcohol and snacks, the lads finally said goodbye to each other. For now. They all knew that a new chapter had started in the history of Take That and they felt like little kids anticipating Christmas. The evening had started a little strange, Mark was trying so hard to make everybody feel at ease that it freaked Howard out. Gary didn’t talk much at the beginning, the row he had had with Dawn just before he left for the party hadn’t left him in a great mood.
Dawn had not gotten involved with her husband’s ideas until that night. She just had to make sure he wouldn’t make the same mistakes again. When she’d met Gary he was young, naive and ambitious. When Take That split and Gary got dumped by his label, she was left with a man whose spirit had been taken away. She’d always admired him for his ambition, his boundless creativity and incredible talent. It had broken her heart to see Gary loose his faith in himself, he lost his confidence and thought he lost his talent. His weight problems were just a way of his body telling the outside world that enough was enough. She’d tried not to meddle with his depressions, after all, she wasn’t the one feeling so sad. She loved her husband, had great kids, they were all healthy, lived in a great house…she simply didn’t understand what made him so depressed. Until the day she and Gary’s mum where out shopping. Dawn had picked up Emily from her pram to cuddle her and realised how happy she was to be able to stay at home with the kids all day and take care of them. It was like the perfect job; being a mummy.
And that realisation had hit her straight in the face, it wás the perfect job for her. Like writing songs and making music was the perfect job for Gary. As she imagined her perfect job being taken from her, tears sprung in her eyes. Gary had lost his perfect job, and that was why he was so depressed. She finally understood him.
Thankfully, things did get better in the end and when Gary too realised that he had to do something and lost all that weight. Music and song writing came gradually back into his life and he seemed genuinely happier.
Dawn was afraid, wouldn’t this reunion thing drag his name down again? What if this whole thing turned out to be a flop, who would be picking up the pieces, again? She just never wanted to see him so depressed again.
So, she told him that.
Gary never heard her worry. He just heard that she didn’t feel the same about Take That as he did and that hurt him.
Half an hour in the meeting, Howard had cornered Mark who was running around getting everybody drinks, laughing hysterically, talking loud and being everywhere at the same time.
“Mate,” he said, lowering his head to look the much smaller Mark in his eyes. “Chill out, mate! Jeez, you’re giving me the jitters.”
Mark’s unwashable smile seemed to melt of his face.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, avoiding Howard’s harsh look.
“No..no..,” Howard sighed, “I am sorry, I mean..I am nervous too, you just make things a tad worse man!”
All of a sudden Mark remembered how hard the break up had been on Howard and how difficult it had been for him seeing Julia again the last time they met.
“No worries mate,” he said, patting Howard on the back and handing him another beer, “It’ll all be fine.”
Howard knew what he meant and hugged him.
They both felt better after that.
Jason still had doubts. There had been times when he had actually been ashamed for being “Jason Orange from Take That”, and especially because that’s how everybody saw him. He had wanted to do something by himself. Something that only he could do. He just never found what that was supposed to be. He had loved being on stage during Take That, he had loved the performances, the dancing, the music, even the singing, when Nigel wasn’t around though. He had also loved the anonymity, being able to cross the street again without people watching him in awe, asking for autographs, pictures or worse.
He had said yes to the documentary because he hated the thought of Take That being together again and not being a part of it himself. He was scared to death though.

Charlotte was already in bed when he came home. As silent as he possibly could, Jason crept up the stairs and undressed in the dark quickly as not to wake her up. He pulled open the sheets and slid in bed, his cold legs immediately finding Charlotte’s warm body. She groaned a bit and when her hands started searching for his arms, he knew she’d woken up.
“Go back to sleep love,” he whispered, placing a kiss somewhere in her hair.
“How was your night?” she still asked.
“Weird,” he replied, pulling her close. Shaking the troubles from his mind he was surprised to feel his body immediate response to hers.
“Well, well..” Charlotte giggled, turning around so she could face him, even in the dark she could perfectly see the blue of his eyes and her mouth found his, “Is this your welcoming gift to me?” she sighed through their kisses.
Jason smiled as he wrapped his arms tighter around her body, at least here was a decision he wasn’t in doubt of.

Mark opened the front door to his house and welcomed the silence. Howard had been right, he had been far too nervous that night and behaved like a high school girl now he was rewarded with a splitting head ache as a finale. He chucked his keys on the table and immediately marched off to the bathroom. Quickly undressing, the warm shower already filled the bathroom with steam. Mark got under the shower and felt his head ache subdue, he smiled when he saw the bottle of fruity shampoo that Emma had left there. When girls started leaving stuff in your bathroom, you knew things were going the right way.

Howard nearly broke his neck over the Miami Barbie House that Grace obviously had been playing with in his bedroom. He cursed under his breath but couldn’t help but smile as he saw her small body asleep in his own bed. Ever since he and her mother had broken up, Grace wanted to sleep in his bed again. He knew he shouldn’t let her but he was too in love with this sight to take her to her own bed. As he rested his head on the pillow, the fast but rhythmic breathing of Grace made him doze off quickly.

Gary sat in the kitchen and drank his tea slowly. He’d made himself a cup of tea, pretending he couldn’t go to sleep just yet but really postponing seeing Dawn again. He was reflecting the events of that night, sipping the hot tea through his lips.
“Hey you,” her voice nearly made him spill all the boiling hot tea over himself.
“Jeez, you scared me,”
“Bad conscience?” Dawn raised her eyebrow, half mockingly but most definitely not apologizing.
Gary saw the redness in her eyes and he felt like a right twat immediately.
“I’m sorry hun,” he said softly, “I knew you meant well…”
Dawn took his hands in hers. “Do you get where I’m coming from? I cannot afford to watch you slip into depression again, you have two children to look after.”
“And you,” he said. Dawn smiled.
“I love you,” Dawn replied.
“I love you too,” Gary hugged her and felt her silent tears wet his shoulder.
