A/N: I shall see how this is going... combine vacation and crappy internet- you get the picture, right?
“Cat, you got a bouquet of roses from someone.” Cat looked up from her project at her fashion design internship, looking up at the girl to which she was serving as an apprentice. In actuality, they were close in age, Viviana was fairly young in the fashion design industry at the age of twenty-four. “Roses you say?” Cat asked, having an innate feeling she knew who had been the 'culprit' in sending the roses. “Yes, and me thinks it could very well be your red hot lover.” Cat laughed, putting down the fabric she had been pinning a pattern onto before going to the main desk where sure enough, the flower had been delivered, one dozen red roses. Cat's blush gave way as they read who had sent the roses. Viv tossed her head back in laughter and clapped her hands. “I knew it! If they're not from Ryan Ross, then my name's not Viviana Candori.”
Cat looked up from the card, and gave her boss a sheepish smile. “Well, it's good to know your name,” she teased the Italian girl as she whistled casually, heading back to her seat to work. “No way, that look doesn't fool me. I endured eight years in the modeling world before this fashion design break, I know when a girl has something to hide. What does it say?” Catrianna smiled as she tossed the card over to Viv as she continued to work on cutting out the pattern. “He says he's looking forward towards tonight, whatever that means. All we're doing is working on your bridal fashion show.”
“All you're doing? You're kidding right?” Viviana smirked as she knew very well what had been going on here. In fact, Ryan had cornered her about two weeks ago, asking if he could use her bridal fashion show to his advantage. Viv, always a sappy romantic at heart, had agreed. “Your friends are still planning on the fashion show, right?” Cat nodded, knowing she meant Becca and Patrick, and Gabe and April, who had all four met the size requirements for Viv's fashion line. “Yeah, they're coming. Though, the rest of the gang might come along to watch. They're all sickly amused at the fact that Becca, April, and I are going to be clad in wedding apparel.”
Viviana laughed as she then took out the itinerary, handing it to Cat. “It's going to be routine. Each girl, that's three of you, are going to model one bridesmaid dress and and then one bridal gown. Each boy is going to model two tuxes, one for groomsmen and the other for groom. The way I've scheduled it, the last bride and groom couple is going to be you and Ryan.” Catrianna raised an eyebrow at this. “Is this your idea of saving the best for last, or are you up to something?” Viviana laughed as she looked up from her work of sorting out the dresses that would be used for this evening's show. “No, you two just make the cutest couple is all,” she added with a bit of a smirk before nodding at Cat. “Now, stay put, I have to confirm your measurements again to make sure you'll fit into this gown that I have in mind...”
Hours passed and soon, the fashion show was well underway. Now had been the time where the last bit of the fashion line would be shown. Backstage, Cat had been by hand, hemming the ends of her dress as she spoke with both Becca and April. “So, having fun you two?” she asked, finishing up the hemming prior to admiring her handiwork. April made a face. “Sure Cat, I am having a blast parading myself in a dress like those bimbos you see on the catwalk-” April had been cut off by Becca. “April! Come on, you can't tell me that the idea of a free designer gown is a sure win-win situation. Besides, the night's not over yet.” Cat rose an eyebrow, noticing that Becca, too, had been acting very odd lately. “What's that supposed to mean?” Becca shrugged nonchalantly. “Nothing at all, just this is a situation that we all could have a lot of fun with. “Riiiight,” Cat muttered right before she stepped onto the stage for the apparent final time that night.
Meanwhile, Ryan had been somewhat pacing backstage. Spencer had managed to creep back stage, and he and Pete had been throwing advice to him in attempts to lessen his nerves some. “Man, you're going to wear a hole into the floor if you keep going on like that.” Spence shook his head in emphasis as he said this. Ryan shrugged. “It's normal to be nervous about things like this,” he muttered, gulping in some air as he felt himself get hit by a wave of nausea. Pete clapped a had on his shoulder. “Come on, what's the worse that could happen?” Ryan gave the bassist an outraged look. “She could say no.” Peter Wentz shook his head. “It's not good to doubt that the girl loves you that much.”
Ryan shrugged. “Whatever,” he muttered as he stepped onto the stage, meeting Cat there at the other end. “Beautiful,” he mouthed at Cat, who blushed as she approached the entry of the runway. Just as they were on the runway, Ryan winked at Viv as they passed by her. What in god's name was that about? Cat raised an eyebrow at this notion, though remained silent. Viv merely waved her off as she continued to make her announcement of the final mini collection. “And here, in our evening in paradise collection, modeling this attire is Panic! At the Disco's Ryan Ross, and apprentice designer Catrianna Sinclair. As you can tell, the gown in itself is an original strapless design...” she continued to speak of the dress until suddenly, “Wait, what? It seems as our groom has a little something to say.”
As she had started to talk, Ryan had suddenly dropped to one knee, holding Cat's hand in his. With the other hand, he motioned that he was wanting to get hold of the microphone. Viv handed him the microphone, and he spoke. “Everyone! I should start by telling you all how much I love this girl over here. I've thought of many ways to do this to make it a time that she could remember and treasure for always, and I think that this might be the right moment.” As he said this, he fished into his pocket and pulled out the velvet box. He opened it, then showed it to Cat. Once Cat had caught a glimpse of a ring, hands flew over her mouth as she looked away. “Oh my God!” she exclaimed, nearly running off the stage in shock, though Becca had caught her by the arm and pushed her towards Ryan. “He's not done! Let the guy finish!”
Ryan cracked a sheepish grin at Becca as he continued to speak. “Thanks Becca. So I was saying, I figure that this could be just the right way to go off and ask this. So, Catrianna Sinclair, will you marry me?” Cat was now rendered speechless to which April hissed. “Cat, speak!” Cat's hands flew over her mouth as her face tinged bright red by now. She nodded meekly. “Yes,” she whispered. Ryan looked up in surprise as he heard the answer. “Yes?” he asked, in a state of befuddlement. Cat nodded to which Ryan abruptly stood up and embraced Cat. “You've made me the happiest guy alive, you know that right?” Catrianna smiled, her face still furiously blushing by now. She watched as Ryan slipped the ring, her engagement ring, onto her finger. When he stepped aside, she squealed and jumped into his arms, causing him to drop the microphone.
Laughing, Viviana bent down, picking up the microphone. “It seems as if our groom has planned a surprise for us all. Congratulations to the happy couple. Now, moving on with the show...” She continued her commentary on the fashion line itself before the show was finally finished. There ended one hell of a night.
A few days later, Spencer had been sorting through the mail, looking through for bills. “Ry, why the hell would you be getting mail from a lawyer?” Ryan looked up from tuning his guitar. “A lawyer?” he asked, frowning in confusion. Spencer threw the letter onto his lap. Still frowning, Ryan opened the letter, face paling right before he dropped the letter. “Ry, what is it?” The guitarist shook his head in disbelief. “I'm getting sued. Actually the whole company is, me being the reason behind it.” Spencer reached for the letter, still very confused. “How the hell can you cause us to get sued?” He read the letter, and soon it all made sense. This was just the stunt that a jealous ex girlfriend would try to stir up once finding out about Ryan's and Cat's engagement.
Meanwhile, Cat had been thumbing through this QT magazine when she had been sitting in a doctor's lounge for a routine appointment. She had suddenly sat up, clearly shocked at what she had just seen:
Rebecca Wentz, younger sister of Fall Out Boy’s bassist Pete Wentz and girlfriend of the band’s lead singer/guitarist Patrick Stump, turns out to have not been quite as innocent as she would have led us to believe.
In an interview from QT Magazine, Amber Martley, former girlfriend of Ryan Ross from Panic! at the Disco, told interviewers that while on vacation, Wentz was not only verbally abusive, but she also tackled Martley and broke several bones causing her to undergo severe reconstructive surgery without being provoked. Also it seems that Wentz has similar tastes for the limelight as her brother. Not only is the youngest Wentz dating Stump, but she has also been seen out on the town in close cahoots with Spencer Smith, the drummer for Panic! at the Disco, and it was told that the two became quite close while Wentz joined the band out on tour a few years ago.
Miss Wentz has had her experiences with relationships in the past as well. Just before the tour where she and Smith became so close, Wentz’s long time boyfriend, Aiden Thadis, committed suicide after what was said to be a disastrous relationship including abuse, drug use, and rape. Not long after the suicide, Wentz was admitted to a hospital where it is said that she went through drug rehab and mental counseling. These problems seem to have not been completely taken care of, as just a few days ago Wentz was seen at the infamous Coco Cabana, which is currently being investigated for drug trafficking, along with furiously attacking several people at the latest Fall Out Boy music video shoot, which she is directing (no doubt because of her close relation to the band).
So we are curious to find out what the truth is about the rockers’ sweetheart who seems to have taken all of the members of the Fueled by Ramen / Decaydance family by storm.
Cat's face blanched as she read some detail on the rest.
...Catrianna has always been the melodramatic one for attention. The only reason she had been struck was that she chose to jump in the way of the car. No one would have gotten hurt if she hadn't done so. It is not an act of kindness that she refused to press charges. She was doing it to save herself. I am fully aware of Ryan and Catrianna's engagement. What I can hope is that Catrianna does not suffer from the heartbreak and anguish I suffered from when the tables had turned on me...
Cat immediately took out her cell, first calling Ryan. Within the first ring, Ryan picked up the phone. “Cat... That's not the end of it. You're in the lawsuit, as am I, and Becca... Basically the whole company is in this suit. The shit has really hit the fan.” Cat gulped as she quickly hung up with Ryan. She then called Becca, clearly noticing that she had been distraught. Of course she'd be distraught. Look at what the press had done to her. After a quick conversation, she had to depart due to the fact that it was about time for her appointment. Following the appointment, she called her father, the one person that she'd be able to talk to about a matter like this. Her father responded by catching a plane to the United States that very day. The very next day, the two had caught a plane to Chicago.
There, when Rebecca Wentz answered the door, Catrianna started to speak, gesturing towards her father. “Becca, this is my father, Jonathan Sinclair. He has heard a great amount of this little situation of ours. He has agreed to be our counsel free of charge.” Cat bit her lower lip as she stared at her father. As Becca stood in the doorway, Ryan and Pete rushed to the door, having been heavily-laden in paperwork. “Mr. Sinclair, what are you doing here?” Ryan spoke up, eyebrow raised in question at Cat's direction. The man responded as he cleaned off his glasses. “It appears as you all seem to be in a bit of a tangled mess. If you will allow it, I shall do my best to see that all is resolved...”
