Carrie stirred as she heard her phone beep. She tried moving to reach it and realized Kelly had her arm wrapped tightly around her waist. She smiled as she became more aware of the feeling of her skin against Kelly’s.

“Mornin’,” Kelly drawled.

Carrie sighed as she wrapped her arms tighter around Kelly’s shoulders. “Hi.”

“What was that noise?” Kelly asked as she snuggled into Carrie.

“Oh, just my phone…”

Kelly’s eyes grew wide. “Shit, what time is it?”

Carrie looked at the clock on the nightstand. “It’s 9. Why? Somewhere you’d rather be?”

Kelly giggled. “No…definitely not,” she answered as she ran her finger in patters over Carrie’s chest.

“Good,” the blonde eyed Kelly carefully, enjoying the moment.

Suddenly, Kelly moved to sit up.

“Whoa. Where are ya going,” Carrie asked startled and already missing the contact.

“Bathroom,” Kelly replied as she looked around the floor for her shirt.

Carrie snickered as she saw her. “Seriously?”

“What?”

“Are you seriously gonna put on your shirt?”

Kelly looked at the shirt in her hands and blushed. “Um…maybe?”

The blonde found it adorable. “Don’t be silly,” she smiled as she pulled back the covers and revealed her body to a surprised Kelly.

“Boy, you sure are comfortable with being naked,” she accentuated the word.

“Well, not usually,” Carrie confessed. “But I am with you. And really, after last night…” she smirked. “It’s kinda silly for me to cover up. Don’t you think?”

Kelly relaxed and dropped the shirt. “Yeah,” she smiled as she remembered the events of the previous night.

“Good,” Carrie smiled. “Now, why don’t you go do whatever you need to while I check my messages?”

“Kay,” Kelly began walking away.

Carrie whistled. “I like this view!”

Kelly giggled as she closed the bathroom door.

The blonde got up and got her phone from her purse that she’d left on the couch. She saw she had a text from Matt.

“Plans were confirmed. You are good to go today.”

She smiled as she replied. “Thanks. Enjoy a day off. Go see Sydney. I’ll call you if I need you.”

The bathroom door opened and Kelly walked towards her. “So, what are your plans for today,” she asked wrapping her arms around the blonde from behind.

Carrie became extremely aware of a naked Kelly pressed against her. “Um, I’ve got a surprise for you,” she managed to answer.

“Oh?” Kelly whispered in her ear. “Really?”

Carrie swallowed hard. “Yup.”

The Texan pulled back.”Yay! So what is it?”

Carrie turned around. “Oh, I’m not telling you yet, but I think you’ll like it. In the meantime, I’m gonna hop in the shower. Wanna join me?”

Kelly arched an eyebrow. “Seriously?’

The blonde laughed. “Yes, but no funny business. We have to get going for your surprise…”

“Well, that’s a shame,” Kelly smiled mischievously. “I could make it worth your while…”

“Oh, I know…and trust me, I’m well aware that you still owe me,” she playfully ran her hand down Kelly’s side. “Let’s go,” she reached for the Texan’s hand as she walked them to the shower.

“So,…I need to check with Jason before I go,” Kelly mentioned as she toweled off.

“Sure thing, “ Carrie answered stepping out of the shower. “I believe everything’s taken care of, though.”

“Huh?”

“Oh, as part of your surprise I coordinated with Jason so you’re completely free today.”

“Oh, really?’ Kelly answered surprised.

“Yeah. I hope that’s ok,” she added, her tone sounding serious.

“No, yeah. That’s fine. I just don’t know what you’ve got planned or what you told Jay.”

Carrie laughed. “Well, I’m not going to tell you the surprise…yet. But I told Jason that we wanted a day to ourselves ‘cause we were going to work on a song.”

“Clever,” Kelly reached for Carrie and pulled her in for a kiss. “I like it.”

“Nuh uh,” Carrie shook her head as she felt Kelly’s hands roaming all over her body.

Kelly pouted. “Are you gonna turn me down?”

“No, definitely not. I’m just really excited for the surprise. And I promise, there will be time for this later…”

“Good,” Kelly caressed the small of Carrie’s back.

Carrie instinctively leaned into the touch. She placed her hands on Kelly’s hips and pulled her towards her. “Ah. Screw it. My surprise can wait five minutes,” she smiled as she took

Kelly’s lips in her own.

“Yay,” Kelly giggled between kisses. “But can we make it ten?”

Twenty minutes later, the girls were finally about to get dressed.

“I need to go to my room and get some clothes,” Kelly sat on the couch putting on her shoes. “I’ll be right back.”

“Ok.”

Kelly walked out of the room and to her suite. She opened her door to find Jason waiting for her.

“Hey, “ she greeted him as she dropped her key on the nightstand.

“Hey. You alright,” he asked a tad concerned.

“Yep,” she smiled.

“So, where were you?” He noticed she seemed…different.

“I spent the night with Carrie,” she tried hard to sound casual.

“Oh. Weird,” he frowned. “I thought you’d come to your room.”

“Well, yeah,” she turned to her bag to avoid looking at him as she lied to cover up the
truth. “But I guess Carrie thought I might get sick and she didn’t want me to be alone in case
she had to take care of me.”

“Hm,” Jason sounded unconvinced. “Well, I’m your brother and I can take care of you if you get sick.”

“Yeah, I know,” she faced him and smiled. “She’s a great friend, Jay. You just gotta get to know her.”

“Yeah…I’m sure she is,” he smirked.

Kelly noticed it. “Meaning?”

“I don’t know,” he ran his hand through his hair. “It just feels different. I mean, like you feel different whenever you’re around her or something.”

Kelly sighed, getting ready to say it. “Well, yeah. I do.”

Jason’s eyes widened and she couldn’t read his expression. “Go on,” he encouraged her.

“Jay, I don’t know how to explain it. I really don’t know what’s happened or what’s going on with me, but she is everything I never knew I always wanted.”

“What,” he asked surprised.

“Yeah. Carrie and I…well, we’re….” She sighed. “Honestly, I don’t know what we are exactly, but I do know that I think I have feelings for her.”

“Kel…Are you telling me you’re gay?”

Kelly giggled nervously. “I, uh, no.”

Jason shook his head. “Wait. Didn’t you just say you have feelings for her?”

“Well, yes. I do. Trust me, we’re figuring this out ourselves as we go along, Jay. But yes, I do like her. Are you ok, ” she asked as his face turned serious.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what to say,” he answered honestly.

“That’s ok,” she smiled reassuringly. “I mean, it’s a lot to take in. Trust me. It hasn’t been easy to realize that you’re falling for one of your friends…”

“I wish you’d talked to me,” he offered a smile.

“I know. I wanted to talk to you about it, but I just didn’t know how to bring it up, especially since I’m still dealing with it all myself.”

“Well,” he offered her a hug. “I’m your brother, and I’m here for ya. Ok?”

“Ok,” she sniffed against his shoulder. “Love you.”

“Love you too, sis.” He ruffled her hair. “Now go get change and get back to Carrie. She’s got something planned for y’all.”

“Wait,” Kelly frowned. “You know what the surprise is?”

He smiled broadly. “Well, Matt and I were comparing notes and he mentioned that Carrie wanted to get y’all a place to hang out and work on a song or something. I just can’t tell you what the actual surprise is.”

“You suck!”

“Hey….I’m your understanding brother, who is making secret plans with your girlfriend,” he teased.

“Uh, yeah.” Kelly stood there thinking to herself at hearing Carrie being described as her girlfriend. Were they? She’d have to ask her. Her smile grew big, making Jason laugh.

“Hey, Kel,” he laughed. “Go get ready.”

“Right,” she gave him another hug. “Are we ok,” she asked apprehensively.

“Yeah. I mean, it’s gonna take some adjusting. But you are my baby sister and I love you.”

Kelly breathed a sigh of relief. “Thanks, Jay..for everything.”
