When Night Falls(Pt14)mild m/m
Kyle’s plane was already 45 minutes late, when Nick snatched up the phone, quickly placing a call to to find out where they were. Kyle told him they were circling the airport for at least another hour. He heard Nick growl softly over the line.
“Get that plane on the ground now. Tell Dan to make up something, electrical, mechanical…I don’t care what it takes. I’ll fly up there and take you all off one by one if I have too, but get that plane on the ground.”
“Alright….alright, I’ll tell him.” Kyle replied, heading for the cockpit to rely the message to Dan. Another ten minutes went by before Kyle spoke into the phone. “We’ll be landing shortly. Dan is going to make the plane wobble a bit to make it look like he really is having trouble.”
“Good. We’ll see you soon.” Nick ended the call. He wouldn’t relax until he saw the plane in the hanger and Kyle walking off.
Scott was standing at one of the small windows in the private hanger. “Some of the things Joe said…” he started, glancing at Nick as he joined him. “…got me to thinking. This man knew that Sav was throwing a fit about getting in that car. He knew we were going to leave.”
”What are you suggesting?”
“He can see the house. He’s watching every move we make, maybe right under our nose.”
“I don’t see how that is possible.” Nick snorted. “It’s completely surround by guards, constantly walking around, checking everything.”
“That maybe Nick, but he still knows what is going on. He moves around on the grounds so he’s not seen."
”Are you thinking it could be one of the guards?”
”No,” Scott looked out the window again. “I know most of them and the ones I don’t, you do. So I trust them. Maybe he is in one of the neighboring houses.”
“I knew there was a reason I liked you.” Nick hurried to the phone in the office and placed a call to Andre. Gave him instructions to have several men check out the homes within a one mile radius of Joe’s.
“That’s taken care of.” Nick told him as he re-joined Scott at the window. But it wasn’t long before he turned from the window to start pacing.
Scott looked at him strangely. “Your really scared this time aren’t you?”
Nick stopped in his tracks and spun around. “Don’t be absur…”
“I’ve known you a better part of 500 years Nick…you don’t pace unless you are.”
”Well…maybe I am.”
”Maybe.” Scott shot back.
“OK...yes I am. The mighty Nicholas de Brabant is terrified of losing the only family he has known for 900 years. Something that started out as an obsession for one man, has turned into something far better. All of them have managed to burn themselves deep into my soul. Now there is a madman out there threatening to take all of that away from me. I cannot...will not let that happen. How can I fight someone that has the upper hand, knows our eve…?”
Scott stalked right up to him in the middle of his triad and smacked him smartly across the face. Nick turned startled eyes back at him.
“Yes…there…you are back in focus now.”
“I should kill you for that.” Nick growled.
“Yeah, but I know that you won’t. Besides, Amber will have your head. Now get a grip. The plane is rolling in.” No sooner than Scott said that, the large doors began to open. They moved out of the way as the plane was rolled inside.
Nick flew up to the door, opening it before the stairs were even in place. A bit of relief washed over him, seeing that everyone was alright. He rushed everyone around, helping them gather belongs together, then flew out of the plane to help with the baggage.
Tracy pulled Scott aside, “What’s gotten into him? I’ve never seen Nick this…”
”Scared…terrified is a better word.”
“Wow.” Tracy glanced back at Nick. “Never thought he would be...Is it that bad?”
Scott slung a bag over his shoulder. ”I’ve known Nick a lot years Tracy. I’ve never seen him like this, not even when Sav became ill.”
“Does he or anyone have any idea who it could be?”
”No. It would seem who ever it is, has something against Joe, but after what happened with de Brabant Castle…I don’t know.”
“Where is Tiny?” Nick’s voice bounced around the plane.
Kyle looked up at him. “He didn’t call you?”
“If he did, I wouldn’t be asking where he was now would I.”
“He took an earlier flight. Told me he had something to take care of and that he would see us at the funeral tomorrow night.”
“That big oaf.” Nick huffed. “He was supposed to be on this plane for your protection. I’ll deal with him later.” He glanced around at them. “Is everyone ready to leave? Good, let’s go. I’ve been away far too long already.”
**
Thirty-five minutes later, the black limousine wound its way down the road toward Joe’s house. Scott kept glancing at Nick, as he talked with Kyle about the press conference he had done the day before.
“Nick is there something wrong with your seat?” Scott finally asked him.
“No, why do you ask?”
“You’re moving around like the seat is hot or something.”
“No it’s …um…Sav and Joe, they are um…I can feel them.” Nick finished quickly.
“Ah…” Scott smiled at Tracy and Lily.
“Are they OK?” Kyle asked worriedly.
“No, no they’re hot…” Nick blurted. “…fine!” he frowned, then stared out the window.
Scott tried to hide his knowing smile, then noticed the clueless looked on Kyle’s face. “They’re making up for the last few months…in bed. Besides…” with a shrug of his shoulder. “Nick would have all ready flew out the door if he felt them to be in danger.”
“oooh.” Kyle blushed and he too looked out the window.
“So your welcoming from them will be delayed for a while.” Scott put in.
“That’s alright, I understand.”
“Sex would be the last thing on my mind at a time like this.” Lily commented. “We are burying Thomas tomorrow. How can they do that?”
“It’s called living.” Beth started. “We can’t stop living because one of our family members have passed away. They would want us to go on.”
“Wise words Mrs. Manning.” Nick looked at her. “What Sav and Joe are doing is living, forgetting everything around them, if only for a moment. Even in light of Thomas death, they crave that closeness.”
“I can understand the point you’re trying to making Nick, but I don’t think I could do it.”
“Perhaps if you came over here and let me fuck you, you would forget.”
Heads whipped around to stare shockingly at Nick. Lily’s mouth hung open, then clamped shut.
“I think you are way out of line with that comment Nick.”
“My apologies Lily, that remark was uncalled for.” he tried to hide the embarrassment that touched his voice. “It…slipped out. Most of the time, I lock myself in my room when they are... together...again my sincere apologies.”
“Maybe you should block them out for the time being.” Scott suggested.
“It’s far too late for that.” Nick mumbled, shifting in his seat.
“Just don’t do anything like….jack off Nick. That would be…gross.” Lily wrinkled her nose. Tracy clasped her hand, squeezing gently.
“Could we please talk about something else?” Beth nearly yelled.
“Good idea.” Kyle returned. He heard a soft snicker from Scott and glanced at him, then pushed his own back down his throat.
Arriving at the house, everyone grabbed bags from the trunk and went inside. Nick rushed forward to the living room door, sliding it open, only to be met with deep moans, heavy breathing and the soft slap of skin on skin, assaulting his heightened senses even more. His eyes gravitated to the couch; two sweat drench forms came into sharp focus. Joe hovered over Sav, hips gently rocked in a smooth rhythm.
Nick felt his insides tighten as he watched them a moment longer. Fighting the urge to strip his clothes off and join them, he quickly slid the doors closed and spun around. “They are…busy…excuse me.” He quickly strolled from the foyer, threw the front door opened and left.
“Nick looks a little flustered.” Kyle said.
“Turned on.” Scott smirked.
“Can you feel them too?” Kyle asked him.
“No. We’ve never shared blood and I’m totally attracted to women for my pleasure.” Scott glanced toward the stairs. “One is waiting for me now. I will see all of you tomorrow evening. Goodnight.”
“Well we’re off to try and get a little rest.” Tracy picked up her suitcase and waited for Lily to do the same. “Goodnight.”
“Would you like some help with your luggage?”
“Thanks Kyle, but we can manage.” Lily smiled at him, following Tracy to the studio.
“OK.” Kyle grabbed their two bags. “Are you comfortable sleeping in the same bed with Evelyn? We can always go to a hotel.”
“Joe needs a bigger house for when everyone is here. But no, it’ll be fine.”
”He has lived here for a very long time Beth.”
“You just stay on your side of the bed.” Beth told him. “Better yet, I’ll sleep in the middle.”
“Don’t worry sweetheart. I have eyes only for you.” Kyle laughed softly as they made their way down the hall toward Joe’s room.

“uunnn…” a deep groan rumbled in his chest, cool flesh wrapped around his fangs, hard tugs on the blood that was offered. Sav rode out the intense orgasm that swept through him. Releasing the hold on Joe’s throat, he dropped his bead back on the couch cushion. His body continued to jerk, as Joe sough out his mouth, plunging his tongue inside to tangle with his.
Sav twined his fingers into Joe’s hair, pulling him deeper into the searing kiss, running his tongue across his extended fangs. Tingles of anticipation hummed through him waiting for Joe to take him. Bodies continued to move in rhythmic motion, dim light danced on glistening skin. Joe came down on his mouth again, dueling briefly with Sav’s tongue before making his way his throat. Slow hard thrust of his hips to drive his pulsing member deeper, rushing forward to his release.
Sav tilted his head slightly, given Joe the room his needed, felt his fangs cut into his skin, the pressure of his hard pulls on his blood, matching the grinding of his pelvis. Stroking the slickness of Joe’s back with his hand, Sav moaned softly, then ran his tongue along his shoulder.
Joe released him and ran his tongue over the holes, licking to the droplets of blood away until it stopped. Easing his weight down on top of him, Joe rested his head in the crock of his neck, sucking in ragged breaths, to help calm his trembling body.
Sav relaxed beneath him, drawing in a deep breath, he blew it out slowly. He felt the goose bumps pop up on Joe’s skin. “Are you cold?”
“No.” Came his muffled reply. Joe raised his head and stared down into his gold-blue eyes. Running his fingers through Sav’s sweat dampened hair. He leaned down and softly kissed him. “Your touch always does that to me.”
Sav smiled and closed his eyes, still running his hands to every place he could reach.
“We should take a shower.” Joe said and tried to get up. Sav wrapped his arms around his waist.
“You wore me out and I’m too tired, we can do it later today.”
“We’re drenched in sweat and…” Joe stopped when Sav wiggled, reaching for his robe on the floor. Pushing Joe up a little he wiped both of their chest’s and stomach’s with it, then dropped it back to the floor.
“There, that’s good enough for me. Now...” Sav scooted over just a bit, so that Joe could squeeze between him and the back of the couch. “…get comfortable…be mindfully of my leg.”
Joe laid his head on Sav’s chest, draping his arm over his stomach. Wiggling a little more, he trapped one leg with his. Accidentally hitting the wound Sav’s other leg.
“ooww…Joe, I told you to be…”
“Sorry.” Joe twisted his head and kissed his chest, lightly running his hand along the other side. Finally getting comfortable, he closed his eyes, then it struck him as to where they were. “Somebody is going to walk in here in the morning and see us.”
“So.”
“We’re naked Rick.”
”So.”
“We don’t have anything to cover up with.”
”So.”
”Is that all your going to say?”
“It’s nothing they haven’t seen before.” Sav settled deeper into the couch, tightening his arms around Joe’s shoulder. “Go to sleep.”
Joe lay awake for some time, listening to Sav’s slow steady breathing, the gentle rise and fall of his chest. Dread crept into the pit of his stomach of the following night, and fear of the coming days.
