"American Airlines Flight 1897 to Phoenix Arizona is now ready for boarding."
"Mm...guys, that's us." I said, quickly swallowing the sip of coffee I had. Jonghyun, Jinki, and Taemin groaned. I walked over to where Key had passed out and shook him awake.
"Wake up Kibummie." I said speaking in Korean. Key groaned before he brought his head up off the table and forced himself to make eye contact with me, his eyes blood shot.
"Mmm...are we boarding?" Key asked groggily.
"Yep. Here," I said handing him the rest of my coffee. He gave me a strange look before taking the caffeinated beverage and downing the rest of it quickly. Grabbing their luggage for the five day trip the guys and I made our way down to the concourse and gate where our flight was taking off and boarded with other first class passengers. Our seats were naturally right next to each other right in front of the wing on the left side of the plane. Minho, Taemin, Key, and Jonghyun took up the middle seats while Jin and Melody were on the right side of the plane. Jinki offered me his window seat, which I gratefully accepted his offer before he grabbed my carryon and loaded it into overhead storage bin next to his before taking his seat next to me.
"Are you excited for the flight?"
"Yeah...hey, do you know where we're staying at?" I asked, as I grabbed my itinerary out of my purse.
"I think we're staying in a place with a T..." Jinki said, as he dug out his itinerary as well. "Tucson. We're staying in Tucson for our shoot."
"Oh. Okay. I take it that Jin and Melody have everything worked out?"
"Yeah, as far as I know..." Jinki trailed off, his eyes meeting mine. I suddenly felt my face warm up as I averted my eyes to my purse where I dug out my cell phone and set of Shure ear buds and plugged them into my phone before letting my phone rest on arm rest that separated Jinki's seat from mine. Buckling my seatbelt, I gazed out the window entering my own little world of thought while we patiently waited for the plane to load. A cart came by with pre-takeoff beverages and a small plate of mixed nuts. I chose a bottle of water with a cup of ice while Jinki chose a coffee. We began our pushback and our taxi down the runway.
I watched out the window as the plane began its slow taxi down the runway. Soon however the plane’s engine’s roared as the plane came to a halt, causing the whole plane to vibrate at the massive output of the turbine engines. The brakes were released and the plane began to pick up speed. The water in my cup threatened to spill over the sides causing me to put a hand on the plastic cup to steady it. The plane continued to accelerate until the speed generated enough lift to pull the rudders down and I could feel the power of the plane in my gut as the wheels no longer touched the ground and we were in a sharp incline to gain altitude and height.
As soon as we had enough altitude the pilot came on over the intercom at the same moment that the seatbelt sign was shut off.
“Welcome aboard again passengers, this is your captain speaking. It is now safe to get up out of your seats at this time, but keep in mind that we will probably hit some turbulence around half-way through our flight due to a low pressure system developing in the Midwest so please keep an eye out for the seatbelt signs located above your seat. Other than that, we should expect a pretty enjoyable flight today. We should make it to Phoenix just shy of five and half hours and our expected arrival time is 9:10am local time and the temperature by the time we land will be a steamy 103 degrees. An in flight meal will be served within the hour so please have your trays out and ready to go when you see your friendly flight attendants come around to take your order. We hope you have a wonderful flight and thank you again for flying American Airlines.”
With that announcement I immediately unbuckled the tight lap restraint and shot up out of my seat., my bladder feeling as if it was about to burst any second. Jinki moved his legs to allow me to get by as I made my way to the tiny bathroom at the front of our section.

Relieving myself, I made my way back to my seat with Jinki handing me a piece of paper. I glanced down at it and found that it was an updated itinerary for the next five days. It turns out Jonghyun was right. We had more free time to ourselves than we normally did. Sure, we still had to get up at crazy hours, but today looked like, for the most part, an easy day of traveling and relaxing before starting our shoot tomorrow.
I so couldn’t wait to get to the hotel room and throw a few drinks back by the pool…speaking of which, I needed to know where we were staying. I glanced at the updated itinerary to see the hotel was not actually a hotel but a ranch. White Stallion Ranch…supposedly within thirty miles of our shooting location which was an abandoned missile facility.
“What are you getting to eat?” Jinki asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. I glanced at him as he thumbed through his in-flight menu provided by the aircraft. “I was thinking an omelet or something.” I grabbed my menu that was tucked in a cubby next to my seat and glanced through it, nothing in particular was jumping out at me though. I settled for a parfait knowing I would need something in me other than a small quiche, coffee and water.
“I think I’m going for the parfait.” I said shutting the menu over going over the other choices.
"That’s it?” Jinki asked, looking at me kind of shocked. Our eyes met and I nodded, setting the menu on my lap and leaning back in my seat.
“Yeah, I’m not terribly hungry. I can always grab something later. I also had a quiche in the flight lounge too along with two coffees. ”
“That’s true. I can’t eat that early in the morning.” Jinki trailed off before sticking his ear buds in and listening to whatever song was playing through them and I did the same.
After eating my parfait I took a short little nap before I was nudged awake by Jinki again. This time they were offering a soft pretzel with cheese and fruit or chocolate cake. I took the pretzel option with a coke and enjoyed it. We began our decent a little over an hour later. After being jostled around by a bit of turbulence.

We landed safely in Phoenix. We waited patiently for our turn to unload the plane when we had safely docked and the gate connected with the plane. Getting off the plane, we followed Jin and Melody each of us sporting sunglasses to avoid the flashes from the fans cameras. We made it through the airport without going through baggage claim since all of us were able to pack all of our things in one or two carry-ons.
The moment I reached outdoors however, I felt like I was walking into a dry oven. I licked my lips in response to feeling the dry air hit them and I wondered how people could live here. We made it into a large van that was awaiting for us. We waved a departing goodbye to the fans as we loaded the van with the driver grabbing our bags one by one and putting them into the back of the van.
Minho managed to nab the seat next to me with Jonghyun sitting next to him. Jinki, Key and Taemin nabbed the back seat behind us while Melody and Jin sat in front of us. Minho and I looked at each other.
"You look beautiful." Minho complimented under his breath, giving my bare knee a squeeze. I flashed a smile at him.
"Thank you." I responded patting Minho's leg back in response. Just then Key let out a heavy sigh.
"Ugh it's so hot out there...I feel like my face is melting. Jongie, is my make-up melting?" Key said in his native tongue, tapping Jonghyun to get his attention.
"Key-hyung, why are you complaining so much? Can you shut up?" Taemin spat, glaring at Key.
"Taemin...be nice. He's your hyung. Treat him appropriately."
"Jinki-hyung he's driving me nuts..."
"Kibummie, your make-up looks fine. Taemin, Jinki-hyung's right, treat Key right."
"Whatever." Taemin huffed as he put his headphones on and turned on what sounded like rock music. I already knew that it was going to be a long ride to the ranch we were staying at so I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as we departed the airport.

-12:47pm-

After we stopped at a McDonalds drive-thru for lunch we arrived at the ranch.
"All right, Crystal and Melody, here is your room." Jin said, handing us both keys. "Follow that man there, he'll show you where to go."
"Thanks Jin." Melody said as we followed a man who was going to be giving us a tour of the ranch. The man was tall and lanky with what looked to be a dark farmers tan. He was pretty easy on the eyes.
"Hey Everyone! My name is Steven and I'll be showing you around today."
We all followed Steven around and found out the place had horse-back riding, hiking, a heated pool and hot tub, and for the more adventurous...like Taemin, rock climbing and a mechanical bull you could test your luck on. After the tour we were shown to our rooms. Melody and I had a Deluxe Double Suite. It was a two room suite that had two twin beds in the bedroom, a bathroom with two sinks and a whirlpool tub, a living room with a fire place and flat screen TV and patio doors that opened up to a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance and a dining area where we could eat, or use as a desk.
"Oh my God, this place is nice. I can't wait to go horseback riding...did you see those horses?" Melody asked, looking at me as she claimed the twin bed on the right. I nodded, and wheeled my bag to the bed on the left and put my bag on the bed, unzipping it and flipping it open.
"Yeah," I said, grabbing some clothes out and putting them on the bed. "but I probably won't go riding today. I gotta get some much needed relaxation in before our shoot tomorrow."
"Oh right, you're doing choreography tomorrow. you'll need it."
"No kidding right?" I said putting all the clothes I had unpacked into my own separate dresser. "So where are the guys staying at? I might catch up with them and see what they're up to."
"The Hacienda I guess. It's that huge house we saw toward the end of the property."
"Oh nice. Well, I'm gonna change into my bathing suit. The pool looked tempting when we walked by it earlier."
"Sounds good, I'm going to see if I can go horseback riding. I'll see you for supper around five okay?" I nodded as Melody left the suite leaving me to change into my bathing suit.

I texted Minho who said he was going with the rest of the guys on a hike as soon as they settled in. It looked like I had the afternoon to myself, not that I minded. I sat out in the sun, drinking a variety of beverages. I had a couple of mimosas, and a rum and coke before switching to ice water. I swam in the pool to cool off, but after a couple of hours of that, I was getting pretty tired so I went back to the suite.

After showering and refreshing myself from my swim I took a brief nap and woke up to someone knocking on my door. I got up groggy from my nap and answered the door. Standing there was Minho drenched in sweat. His eyes met mine and I opened the door wider as he leaned against the door frame.
"Jagiya, are you coming for dinner?" Minho quizzed. I shrugged.
"Yeah, how was your hike with the guys?" I asked, turning around to grab Minho a bottle of water I had sitting in the fridge when I heard his footsteps shuffle up behind me and he wrapped his arms around my waist his lips grazing my neck in light kisses. "Hey Crystal! I see Minho found you." Jonghyun said, being the first to spot us walking in.

"Hey Crystal!" Taemin greeted, and he was followed by Jinki and Key.
"Hey Taeminnie, Jinki and Key. Have you guys seen Melody anywhere?" I asked,
"Yeah, she's around, I think she headed off to the bar for a drink or something." Jonghyun said, as he glanced at me before resuming his conversation with Key.
"You guys want to join us? They're bringing out the food here in a minute. Come sit with us." Jinki said, as he and Jonghyun scooted over to allow Minho and I to sit next to them. I saw Key had a cold bottle of water and I realized I was pretty parched. It was still hot out, probably still over a hundred degrees out, the heat was dry however.
"Key where'd you get the water?"
"There's a cooler right there with drinks in it. Help yourself." Key said, pointing toward a large blue and white cooler that sat at the end of what I believed would be the table the food was about to be laid out. I looked at Minho and wrapped my arm around his shoulders to help stabilize myself as I got up. "Anyone want anything?" A variety of responses came and I walked over the cooler and opened it up to see a variety of beverages from beer to soda, tea to water. I grabbed a couple of sodas, a couple of waters, and a couple of ice teas and set them on the table before grabbing a water for myself.
"All right, who's hungry? Today we got some Devil's Fire BBQ Ribs and Southern Style Fried Chicken, sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fire grilled asparagus, broccoli salad, potato salad, baked beans and lettuce salad. For dessert we have peach cobbler ala mode and chocolate cake."
"Wow! That looks amazing." I said, as I watched the staff set up the food. Jinki was eying the chicken. I laughed to myself. When the food was all set up we were allowed to help ourselves. I opted to have the ribs, a scoop of potatoes, a cob of corn, some asparagus, a bit of broccoli salad and lettuce salad. I also grabbed a beer to enjoy with my dinner. Jin and Melody joined us a bit later, and we ate and enjoyed each other's company.
The guys wanted to chill by the pool after dinner and wanted me to join them, but I thought better of it and figured it would be a great time to reconnect with my daughter and see how my family was doing. So after dinner the guys headed back to get their swim trunks on while I headed back to my room and Skype with my daughter and family for a good couple of hours. I missed my daughter terribly. I knew that I would see them all again in a couple months time, but it seemed eons away as far as I was concerned. I wanted nothing more than the cuddle my little girl in my arms. It hurt.
Melody came back to the room shortly after I had closed up the skype conversation with my family. I had fresh tears in my eyes which I quickly wiped away as soon as I saw Melody enter.
"Hey..." Melody quickly noticed my expression. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I just really miss my daughter."
"Hey, it's all right. You're a mother. I've got two little ones of my own, and I commend you for what you're doing. I can't imagine leaving them for months at a time to pursue my dreams." Melody said, sitting down on her bed which was across from mine. "It's hard, I know, you'll see them again. Your daughter starts school this year right? She'll be six soon right?"
"Yeah, she's already lost her first tooth. I feel like I'm missing out on so much, I'll be missing her first day of school..."
"You'll see them during the holidays though."

"That's months from now though Mel."
"It'll be worth it though. I hear SM will foot the airfare for everyone and their families this year. I may not agree with most of SM business practices, but even they know how important family is." Melody said, as she flopped on her bed next to mine. "Speaking of which, you and Minho getting pretty serious? Does he look at Jasmine as his own?" I blushed as our rendezvous from earlier popped up in my mind.
"Yeah, he loves Jasmine..."
"Good. Any plans on tying the knot in the future?"
"Maybe...but not in the near future or anything like that. We both have careers to think about right now." I said, getting up after glancing at the clock and seeing that it was going on ten o'clock. I grabbed a pair of pajamas out of my dresser. I changed in the bathroom. Melody had done the same while I was in the bathroom.
"Can I ask a favor of you?"
"Sure." I said, as I pulled back the blankets on my bed.
"Can you put a towel or something on the door if you and Minho decide to do the deed? I walked in on you two earlier, and it was awkward to explain to Jin why I couldn't go into our suite..."
"Oh my God...you didn't rat us out did you?" I asked, my face felt like fire and my heart leapt into my throat.
"Oh God no. I told him you were sleeping and I didn't want to bother you...then he asked where Minho was..."
"Shit, I'm sorry Melody." I apologized, hiding my face behind my hands.
"It's all right, Jin really doesn't need to know you and Minho's business. I would be careful if I were you though. A towel will tell me to steer clear. I told him Minho was probably exploring the ranch before I asked if he wanted a drink. Jin's creepy as fuck though Crys. Be careful if you're ever alone with him. He won't try nothing with me because I'm black, but I see how he looks at you. It's nothing good..." Melody trailed off before exhaling. "Have the other guys tried anything with you? They seem very flirty with you lately."
"When are they not trying anything with me? Seriously...we're bumping and grinding during dance practices, singing about fucking each other while bumping and grinding..."
"I see your point, but seriously, you can tell me, it'll stay between us. I promise. I'm kind of curious myself...Jonghyun is damn fine."
"Melody, you're a married woman and I'm in a committed relationship, if something did happen with me and any one of the other guyshypothetically speaking, I wouldn't kiss and tell, that's not who I am." I said, casting a glance her way.
"You haven't been curious? Just a little to see what the other guys are like?" Melody said, meeting my glance with one of her own.
I was blatantly lying my ass off. I couldn't expose the guys though for fear that Melody could go off and let it slip because at the end of the day she had a job to do. That was keep my image on track.
"My lips are sealed."
"So you have."
"Possibly, possibly not..."
"Who."
"Minho and Minho only."
"I don't believe you."
"Believe what you want. I'm not saying anything else. Goodnight."
"Ugh, I can't believe you don't trust me." I put my phone's music player on and slipped the ear buds in before shutting my lamp off and getting cozy under the covers. "Crystal! Come on tell me..."
I ignored her pleas until I passed out to the soothing bass lines and synths of the Zero 7 song playing in my ears.
