Chapter 14: Double Date
"Andy, Brian's ready," Ethan said leaning against her bedroom door frame. He crossed his arms and shook his head while chuckling at Andy.
She was doing some push ups in a pair of skinny jeans and a tank top, "Okay five more," she said.
"Andy come on we're going to be late." Brian said walking up the open room and he saw Andy doing push ups. Part of him actually wanted to join her but then they would have kept their dates waiting.
She finished her push ups and walked over to her dresser and grabbed her deodorant. After she applied her deodorant she put on her short sleeve red button down shirt.
"What's with you and that shirt?" Ethan asked.
Andy smiled and shrugged, "I guess it shows off my arms a lot more than the others."
She grabbed her TRAPT hoodie and took one more look into the mirror and checked her hair to make sure the hair gel was holding it in place. She adjusted her belt on her jeans because for some reason the skinny jeans she was wearing seemed to have gotten too big.
She let out a breath and then walked back over to her dresser and put on some cologne. She heard a voice and gave Ethan a knowing smile and she just shook her head, "Hey guys what's up?" Alex said walking up to Brian and Ethan.
"Waiting on Andy so we can take our girls out. But she's taking FOREVER!"
"Hey! You be ready by SIX THIRTY," she looked at her watch, "It's six twenty!"
"Well yeah, we gotta stop at the florist remember?" Andy's eyes went wide and she started to pat her pockets to make sure she had her wallet, phone and keys. She looked at the night stand and found her keys, phone and wallet.
"Okay let's go, and you two," she said pointing to Ethan and Alex, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do," she gave them a wink then, she and Brian made their way downstairs. They called up to the two and told them to have a good night.
Ethan and Alex watched from the top of the stairs and shook their heads with smiles on their faces. "Food?" Ethan asked.
"Is that even a question?!" They both laughed and walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Tonight they were going to have another hang out out night like the one they had before. Only this time Ethan hoped he wouldn't fall asleep on the pull out couch again.
Yeah, sure, he may have a school boy crush on Alex but he also didn't want to freak him out. Tonight he hoped Alex would have just as much fun as they did the other night.

"They're on their way," Angel said walking into her bedroom and Lynn was pacing back and forth. She smiled looking at her best friend. She walked up to her and stopped her from pacing, "What's wrong?"
Lynn shook her head, "I don't know. I mean we've had two dates and this is the third one. They were kind of back to back in a sense. Plus all that stuff she said to Melissa earlier," she let out a sigh and sat down on the stool in front of Angel's vanity mirror and looked at herself.
She had a white blouse on and her hair was pulled back into a braid that Angel helped her with, and she had a touch of make up on. Just a little bit of lip gloss, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow and some foundation.
Angel smiled and put her hands on her shoulders, "Lynn, she really likes you and you really like her. Plus she's going on tour with you so you won't have to worry about her chasing after other girls. Not that she would anyway. Or girls chasing after her. Also if you haven't noticed when we're out and about her eyes never wonder."
Lynn smiled, "You're right. I don't know, I just feel like things are too good to be true right now. I have this feeling that something's going to happen and I don't know if it's bad or good."
"I got that feeling with Brian when we first started dating, but look at us now. We're going on eight years strong. I mean yeah a ring would be nice, but he's living out his dream and I'm so proud of him. If I can make it eight years with a musician then Andy can make eight years with you. Maybe even more."
Angel came around to Lynn's side and kneeled in front of her, "I know your last relationship was also your first and of course there's rumors of you and that one actress." Lynn let out a small laugh. "But I see this difference in you when Andy's around and what ever it is, I hope it sticks."
"Are you sure you can't come on tour with us this time?" Lynn asked wiping away an escaped tear and leaned in to give Angel a hug.
"Oh, hon, I wish, but I'll be there at your final show and I'll be with you both weekends of Coachella."
They heard a knocking at the door and they pulled away from each other. Angel grabbed a tissue and gave it Lynn, "Go ahead and touch up a bit, I'll grab it."
Lynn nodded and turned in her chair and looked into the mirror and sighed, "Calm down Lyndsey, it's just another date with an amazing girl." She used the tissue to dry her eyes and she started to touch up her make up.
"Lynn, come on!" She heard Angel call from the front door. She stood up and took one last look in the mirror and walked out of the bedroom. Trying to control the beating of her heart. When she turned the corner from the hallway a breath caught in her throat when she saw Andy standing there smiling and talking to Brian and Angel.
Angel gave Brian a kiss on the cheek for giving her a bouquet of her favorite flowers. She walked over to the kitchen and found a small vase to put them in. Andy's was back was turned when Brian tapped her on the shoulder. She looked at him and he just pointed at Lynn. Andy turned around and her heart skipped a beat. She looked at Lynn and smiled, she took a few steps up to her and gave her a small bouquet of white orchids.
Lynn smiled and took them from her and closed her eyes as she smelled them, "They're beautiful, thank you," she said giving Andy a kiss on her cheek.
"I wasn't sure what your favorite flower was, and I thought a rose was too cliche and all the other flowers just wouldn't do you justice. You look beautiful." She said fully taking in Lynn. She blushed and looked down at her simple white blouse, black dress pants and black shoes.
"You look amazing," she whispered to Andy.
Brian and Angel smiled at each other, "Oh the honeymoon phase. Think they'll ever get out of it?" Brian asked and Angel glared.
"What?!" She shook her head and grabbed her coat as well as Lynn's. She walked up to them and was about to give Lynn her coat when Andy took it from her.
"Here, I'll help you put it on." Angel took the orchids out of Lynn's hand and Andy helped her with her coat.
Angel found another small vase and put some water in it and then the orchids. Brian was waiting by the door with her coat and he helped her put it on.
"Got everything?" She asked Lynn and she nodded. "Alright let's go," she said and they walked out of the apartment. Brian locked the door and the two couples walked down the hallway hand in hand ready for their double date.
********************************************************************************
Andy helped Lynn out of her coat just as Brian was doing with Angel. She pulled out the chair for her. Brian mirroring Andy's actions as the young blonde host was setting down the menus in front of them after they all got situated. Andy took off her hoodie and put it on the back of her chair she sat next to Lynn and smiled at the host. He said their server would be with them in a moment. They all thanked him and the four started to look through the menus.
"So Andy, the three of us kind of conspired against you earlier today," Brian said not taking his eyes off of the menu. She raised her eyes and looked at all three. They were really invested in the menu, she put hers down and really looked at them until one of the them looked at her. The three of them were looking at each other and not her. She sighed, shook her head, and went back to looking at the menu.
A few minutes later a young woman with short black hair came up to them and introduced herself and Andy's eyes went wide but kept her eyes on the menu. Then she heard, "Andy?" At this point she forced a smile and looked up and saw Vicki.
"Vicki? You work here too?" Vicki nodded and her smile went even bigger. Lynn looked at Andy and she couldn't help but feel a little jealous. She then looked at Angel and she shrugged with a confused look the same with Brian.
"Wow! Such a small world huh?" Vicki said touching Andy's shoulder and Andy tried not to grimace when she did. Andy took Lynn's hand in hers intertwining their fingers and Lynn's eyes went to their hands and she smiled. She could also feel how tightly Andy was holding onto hers that she brought her other hand and put it over their intertwined hands to let her know that she was there.
"I'm sorry, what can I get you to drink." Angel and Lynn went first, then Brian and Andy.
"Wouldn't picture you drinking coffee at seven at night." Vicki commented as she wrote down their drink orders.
"Yeah well, when you decide to cut out soda, and energy drinks you need to find a substitute." Andy commented looking back at the menu and not letting go of Lynn's hand. Vicki said she would be back with their drinks and to take their food order. They thanked her and she walked away.
Andy let out a sigh of relief and then looked at Lynn, "This is going to be interesting."
Lynn reached up and gently ran her fingers through Andy's hair and smiled, "Well Brian did say you are a colorful person." She smiled and leaned in and gave Lynn a small lingering kiss on her cheek.
"Okay, so Andy," Brian said with a big smile putting his arms on the table and Andy looked at him.
"Okay Brian," she said in the same excited tone.
They all laughed and Brian cleared his throat, "So the three of us know each other," he started to say and Andy already knew where this was going.
"So during this part of the date the three of us decided to ask you questions about you. Since you're driving we won't have you drink, but I did order an extra soda because if you don't answer you will have to take a sip."
Andy shook her head, "I don't know what's worse. The fact that I can't drink 'cause I'm driving, or that I haven't had soda in about three years and I'm not ready to relapse."
Angel smiled and took out her phone from her coat pocket and started to scroll through it, "So in my little notepad app, we all came up with these questions." Vicki came back with their drinks and then asked if they were ready to order. Again, Angel and Lynn took turns and then Brian and Andy took theirs.
Just then an older man came up to them and Lynn smiled really big as did Brian and Angel. The three stood up and gave him a hug and introduced Andy to him. He was the owner of the restaurant and the three know him through mostly Brian and Lynn's parents. Angel met him through Brian.
They chit chatted about the new tour and how long it's been since he saw them last. He said that he was sorry he couldn't make the Christmas party because he had to be out of state for family. They waved his apology off and said that they would catch him next year. He shook Andy's hand and said that it was nice to meet her. She said that it was nice to meet him as well. Then he gave the three of them a hug and told Vicki to take extra special care of the four of them. Vicki smiled and nodded saying that she would. He walked away and Vicki repeated back their orders and they nodded.
She said she would be back with their salads and bread for them. She gave Andy a wink which didn't go unnoticed by Lynn and Andy felt her hand tighten around hers. Andy turned to her and smiled. The look didn't go unnoticed by Vicki. She finally walked away and Angel returned to her phone.
"Alright so we each came up with at least four questions to ask you," Angel said picking up her phone and smiled. "So Brian's going to ask his questions, then me, then of course Lynn."
Andy nodded and smiled, "Bring it on."
"Yes!" Brian said and clapped his hands and Angel gave him her phone, "Okay, first question," he looked at the phone and found his question, "When did you know you were into girls?"
"Second grade," she said without hesitation.
Brian's eyes went wide and he put Angel's phone down and leaned on the table, "Explain."
Andy chuckled, "Well there were these two girls in my class that I thought were really cute and I wanted to be their, 'boyfriend.' So I started to hang around boys more in hoping to turn into a boy. But obliviously that didn't work."
Brian nodded, "That is very interesting. Alright, what is your ultimate dream honeymoon destination?"
Again without any hesitation she answered, "Fiji."
"Damn, you're flying through this. Okay, let me see what I have next." He looked at the Angel's phone and then looked at Andy with a smirk, "How many guys and girls have you had sex with?"
Andy shrugged, "Zero guys, and two girls," She took a sip of her coffee, "Come on Brian, these are too easy."
"Well shit, alright last question, how many girls have you dated? NOT including Lynn."
"Five," she answered and leaned back in her chair smiling at Brian, "Alright Angel, let's see what you got. I'm an open book at this point. Plus I really, really, really, don't want to drink that." She said pointing to the glass of dark soda. Vicki came back with their salads and bread for them. Without even thinking Lynn started to take off everything Andy didn't like on her salad and put it on hers.
Andy smiled and looked at her, "What? You were gonna pick them off anyway."
"I knew I liked you for a reason." She said to Lynn and this time Vicki couldn't help but feel extremely jealous. She said she would be back with some refills and that their food should be up shortly. They thanked her as she walked away. Andy and Lynn let go of each other's hand so they could eat their salads and Angel looked at her phone and then back up at Andy.
"So, I'm hoping this is a thinker. Where do you see yourself in the next five years?"
"A published writer." Angel was just about to take a bite of her salad and looked at her with a stunned expression. Andy took a bite of her salad and smiled, "What? I think about stuff like that." Angel nodded and took her bite.
When she was ready she looked at her phone, "Ohh this is a good one. How long can you have sex?" This time Lynn looked at Angel and she just shrugged and smirked.
"Well the longest I ever done was at least eight hours. But that was like breaks in between. But if we're talking like long foreplay and then going right into it," she started to think.
"Hmm, I think it was six hours," she said and she heard at least two forks drop on the table. One of them was Lynn's and the other was Brian's. Andy turned her head to look at Lynn and noticed how red she was. She smiled and turned her attention back to Angel who was just looking at her with a shocked expression.
"Next question." Angel cleared her throat and Vicki came back and refilled their drinks. They thanked her and she hesitated to stay but decided to walk away.
"What do you look for in a girl?" Again Lynn looked at Angel with wide eyes and she just winked at her.
Andy smiled, "Well she has to be humble, has to have a sense of humor, likes to go on adventures, finds the good in people no matter how much of an asshole some one can be. Has a good heart, cares about her family and friends. Passionate about what she does, she has to be able to trust me, be able to open up when she wants to. I don't mind her having her guard up, and just letting me in every once in a while because I do the same thing. Finally, has to have an amazing personality and amazing eyes."
"Wow," Angel said looking at Andy with a smile, "Okay, final question from me. What's your dream wedding?"
Andy smiled, "Honestly, as long as my fiance understands that I will have one Maid of Honor, one Best Man, and two bridesmaids and two groomsmen. I'll be okay. Oh and some how have black, red, silver, and green included in the colors. I get control over the food, and she has control over everything else. From the venue, to the sitting charts, to having a band or a DJ. It's her wedding too and I want her to have her dream wedding as well."
"Brian I think I'm a lesbian now," Angel joked and Brian's eyes went wide. She smiled and kissed his cheek, "I love you, I was just kidding."
"Better be," he said with a smile. Vicki came back and took away their empty salad bowls.
"So Andy I talked to your sister the other day." She said and Andy's eyes went up to Vicki.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry about your cousin, if there's anything I can do, you have my number," again she touched Andy's shoulder. If she wasn't such a good person she would have moved out of the way.
"Thank you Vicki," she said with a weak smile and then turned her attention back to Lynn, "I think it's your turn."
"I'm sorry, but when Harry was over I couldn't help but wonder what tour you're going on." Vicki said trying to interrupt Andy's conversation with Lynn.
"Lynn and I are in a band called PVRIS spelled, with a V instead of an A." Brian said point at himself and then Lynn.
Vicki nodded, "Oh, okay I think I've heard of you guys. Are you the singer?" She asked.
Brian and he laughed, "Hell no! Lynn's the big voice." He said nodding over to her.
Vicki looked at her and gave her a fake smile, "I'm gonna have to check out your music some time."
Lynn smiled, "Thanks, Andy here is coming on tour with us to take some pictures and videos." Lynn said looking at Andy who looked back at her and kissed her cheek. Vicki looked down at the floor then back up and said she was going to check on their food and walked away.
"Of all the places," Andy said sitting up in her chair trying to get the creepy feeling out of her system.
"Forget about her, it's Lynn's turn to ask her questions." Angel said giving Lynn her phone. She took her phone and looked at her questions and then looked at Andy.
"What happened with you and Vicki?"
"Out of the gate huh?" She said chuckling and took a sip of her coffee.
"I've just been wondering about it since we saw her the other day and how uneasy you were around her." Andy nodded and put her arm on the back of Lynn's chair and looked at her and started to remember what happened.
"Well, I found out she was cheating on me. I was at a friend's house with her and two of my other friends were there at the time. I had to leave because I had work in the morning and she walked me to my car but she was really distant and didn't even bother with a good bye kiss or I love you. About two hours after I got home I get a phone call from one of my friends saying that she was all over this one guy that was over. Of course, I didn't want to believe it. I mean I was young. I was twenty I didn't know any better.
So after that night no one would give me straight answers. Except that one friend that called me. Well the weeks and months after that we kept fighting about the littlest things and then I finally blew up and called off everything. We didn't talk for a long time and then out of no where she came crawling back, and I fell for everything again. Then, one night I met some one new and I had one final hook up with Vicki and then the next day I called everything off again."
Vicki came back with their dinners and when everyone had their food she looked at Andy and smiled, "How long are you in town for?"
"Um, I leave on the third." She said not looking at Vicki who just nodded.
"Well if you wanna hang out let me know." Again she touched her shoulder and again Andy tried not to move away. She told them to enjoy their meal and she walked away.
"She needs to stop fucking touching me," she said under her breath. Lynn cleared her throat and looked at Angel's phone and smiled and shook her head.
"Okay, I can't believe I'm going to ask this, but where's the craziest place you ever had sex?" Andy nearly dropped her fork and her eyes went wide.
She looked at Lynn and Andy couldn't help but turn red, "Um, well, it was," she cleared her throat, "Broad daylight and it was in a mall/movie theatre parking lot. In my car."
She was just about to take a bite of her dinner when her phone started to ring. She took it out from her pocket, "I'm sorry, it's my doctor, excuse me," she said and got up and answered her phone. She walked out of the restaurant and she didn't notice that the table she was sitting at was by the window in front of the restaurant and Brian couldn't help but watch her body language.
"Wait, what does that mean?" She asked into her phone.
"I'm not sure, but when you come back I need to do a full work up on you. I can't believe I just noticed this, I'm sorry Andrea, I should have caught this sooner. I thought everything was okay, but I just want to make sure. I'm going to prescribe something to you. Send me the closest pharmacy to you and you'll have it by tomorrow afternoon." Her doctor explained.
"Okay, um I fly in on the third around four. Can I come in after work on the fourth? I should be getting off around three."
"That's no problem I'll pencil you in then."
"Thanks doc, I'll see you in a few days. Happy New Year."
"Happy New Year Andrea. Like I said I'm sure it's nothing but I just want to make sure."
Andy just nodded "Thanks doc, bye." She let out a sigh when she got off of her phone and then looked up at the sky.
She touched her cross, "If you hear this, just please, if anything were to happen, can you make sure, my family is okay, make sure my friends keep going with their lives, and also make sure Lynn is taken care of." She closed her eyes and then put her cross up to her lips. She looked down at her phone and quickly looked up a pharmacy. Once she found one she quickly sent the link in text message to her doctor.
She put her phone back into her pocket and walked back into the restaurant and came up to the table, "I'm sorry, she just wanted to let me know that she sending me some more meds."
Lynn put a hand on her cheek and Andy looked at her, "Everything okay?" Andy wanted to tell her but she didn't want her to worry about her.
She just nodded and kissed the heel of her hand. "You have two more questions." She said smiling and finally able to take a bite of her dinner.
Lynn chuckled and looked at Angel's phone, "Alright let's see here. What makes you believe in God?"
"Now, that is a GREAT question!" Andy said wiping her mouth with her napkin.
"That is a great question," Brian said nodding his head.
"I guess growing up my parents went to church every Sunday and while they were in Mass, my sister and I would be in Sunday school. Growing up Catholic a lot was drilled into my head about God and how he answers prayers and that he's done all these amazing things. Then, when I was about fifteen a friend of mine brought me to a Christian youth group and it opened my eyes a little more. We went to this retreat for the a weekend and I was blown away by the music and the teachings and it was just an eye opener. I cried during one of the services. I just felt it.
We went again the next year and that's when I decided to change my religion from Catholic to Christian. I got baptized two weeks later. Ever since then I just know that He watches out for me. I know there's a lot of bad shit in the world, but I know He hears us, and I know He's there. He's stopped me from ending my life a few times."
"This just got deep," Brian said sitting back in his chair.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go that deep."
Lynn put her hand on Andy's back and shook her head, "No, it's okay. I asked the question and I wasn't expecting it either."
"Besides, we love getting to know you. You're so genuine and humble learning about you has been a highlight these past couple of weeks." Angel said reaching over and took Andy's hand.
"I have one more question and I think it'll brighten up the mood," Lynn smiled and kissed Andy's cheek. Angel winked at Andy and took her hand away from hers and looked at Brian who just took her hand and kissed the back of it.
"Okay final question," Lynn said looking at Angel's phone.
"What you want to name your first child?"
"Boy or girl?"
"Both."
"For a girl Crystal Aurilea after both my grandmothers and for a boy Zane Jesus, after my grandfathers. The middle name for Zane would sound like 'Jessie' spelled like Jesus as in Jesus Christ."
Vicki came back and asked if they wanted any dessert. They all looked at each other and shook their heads. She asked if they were all separate and Andy said everything on one check. She nodded and said she would be right back.
"Those were great questions. Y'all really thought them through." She said smiling reach for her wallet.
"Thought it would make it more interesting putting you in the hot seat for a while." Brian told her checking his watch making sure they had enough time to get to the symphony.
"So what's after dinner?" Angel asked the two of them.
Brian and Andy looked at each other and smiled, "Well this morning at breakfast we decided to take you two to the Boston Symphony." Brian told them and Angel smiled and leaned in and gave Brian a kiss on his lips.
"I take it, she loves the symphony?" Andy asked Lynn taking her hand in hers.
Lynn shook her head, "No, Brian's been promising her that he would take her but never got around to it."
"Have you ever been?"
Lynn shook her head, "Never had the time. But I'm glad my first time is with you," she leaned in and gave her a small kiss on the lips just as Vicki came up to them. She looked down when she saw Lynn and Andy kissing. She didn't say a word and just put the small booklet down and walked away.
Both couples pulled away from each other with smiles, then Andy reached for the booklet and took it. Lynn was going through her coat and she pulled out her wallet but Andy was too fast for her and put her card in the slot and closed it.
"Gotta be faster than that Gunn," she joked and Lynn shook her head.
"Okay but I get the next one."
Andy smiled, "Of course you will."
"So I just checked and we're actually three blocks from the venue. It's not too bad out, do you three wanna walk?" Brian asked them and they all nodded. Vicki came back and picked up the booklet and said she would be right back.
"What's after the symphony?" Lynn asked.
"I guess we'll play it by ear at that point. Depending on the time I wouldn't mind seeing Boston during the night time." Andy said and they all agreed.
It didn't take long for Vicki to come back and set the small booklet on the table, "Harry took care of all your meals and drinks."
"Oh wow, tell him thank you for us." Angel said with a smile.
Vicki again gave a fake smile and then looked at Andy, "It was good seeing you. Don't be a stranger." She went to touch Andy's shoulder but she leaned closer to Lynn.
"Yeah you too," she said. Vicki nodded and told them to have a good night. Andy took her card from the booklet and put it back in her wallet. Then she took out some cash and put it on the table.
"We may have gotten free meals but I think she might not get a tip for it." She said looking at the confused looks that were looking at her.
"You're too nice," Angel said as they all started to get up.
"Some times I'm too nice for my own good." Andy said helping Lynn with her coat. When they were ready to go Andy took Lynn's hand and they started to walk out of the restaurant. They were met by Harry who gave them all a hug this time. They thanked him for their dinner and he said that Andy was welcome any time and that it was good to see them.
Andy held the door open for them and she walked behind them. When they were all outside Brian pointed them in the direction of the venue and they started to walk in that direction. Brian and Angel hand in hand with Lynn and Andy behind them with an arm around each other.
Even though Andy ran into Vicki again it wasn't stopping her from having an amazing time with the three people around her. She kissed Lynn's temple as they walked. Brian was pointing out a few things and talking about how he would come up here as kid. Same with Angel. They talked about how they met and how they kept their relationship strong for eight years.
"Oh my God Lynn! Come here!" Angel said and took Lynn's hand and rushed her to one of the store windows.
"Oh Lord, she sees the rings." Brian said as he watched them rush off.
Andy smiled, "If you don't mind me asking, why haven't you popped the question yet?"
Brian shrugged, "To be honest I'm not sure. I think it's because we're finally hitting it big and I don't want her to think it's getting to my head. I mean, I know I want to spend the rest of my life with her. But we've been so busy with touring, recording, doing press days, interviews, and music festivals. I just never really planned out a nice proposal." Andy nodded and they slowly started to walk towards them.
"Let me ask you a question." Brian said stopping just a few feet away from the girls. "How did you last eight hours? I mean, how is that even possible. I want to spice up things with Angel but I keep running out of ideas." Andy couldn't help but laugh.
"I gotta be honest, I never thought I was going to last eight hours that night. But we took breaks in between. It was also nine years ago. But, you just gotta ease into it. Tease a lot, foreplay is a must, also," she leaned in closer to him, "When I go down on a girl, I use the 'alphabet technique' with my tongue, then I spell out her full name, then I go into numbers."
"Holy shit that works?!" His eyes went wide.
Andy shrugged, "Well the two girls I've been with never complained. But I got some good reactions out of it. Try it out, also, this is gonna sound really, really, really, weird but those fifty shade books does some wonders too."
Brian put a hand on her shoulder and laughed, "I'll keep that in mind." They walked up to the girls. They were talking about the rings that were in the window of the closed jewelry store.
Andy turned around so that the girls couldn't hear what she was going to say to Brian, "When you pick a day to do it let me know. I'm good at planning stuff like this. Trust me, I'm a hopeless romantic."
Brian looked at her and smiled, "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you."
Andy turned back around and gave him a pat on the back, "Anytime."
The two were finally done looking at the rings and smiled walking up to them, "Ready?" Andy asked and Lynn nodded.
Brian gave Angel a small kiss on the lips and then they started to walk with Lynn and Andy behind them.
*********************************************************************************
"Thank you," Andy said with a smile and brought two small cups over to the table and gave a cup to Lynn.
"That was amazing! Thank you honey!" Angel said to Brian going through her phone and looking at the pictures she took.
"I don't think there was a dry eye in the house during the last piece," Andy said taking a sip of her hot chocolate.
After the symphony Angel wanted to show Andy one of her favorite spots, because she mentioned hot chocolate. They walked back to the Jeep and Angel directed Andy were to go. About fifteen minutes later Andy parked in the parking lot and they all got out. But Andy rushed over to Lynn's side and opened the door for her. Angel asked Brian why he never did that and he told her that he didn't know that he was supposed to. Andy and Lynn couldn't help but laugh.
They found a table and Andy asked if they wanted anything and everyone said hot chocolate. Andy laughed and went up to the vendor to order. She gave Angel and Brian theirs first then went back and got the other two. Now here they were talking about the symphony. They also had some more questions for Andy.
"Andy, I've been wondering something," Brian said putting his hand under his chin as his elbow rested on the table. Andy looked at him mirroring his posture.
"You seem to be this humble, nice, genuine, person, but you've had all these bad things happen to you. How do you stay positive all the time?"
Andy didn't have to think about that question. She put her hand down and looked at him, "Honestly it's my Faith. I also try to see the bright side of things. I learn from every mistake and I build from it. Sure, I think about what I could have done different but by the time I do it's too late because it's already happened. I've been suffering from depression since I was fourteen, but I don't let it stop me. It got really bad when I tore my ACL, but I pulled through. It's mind over matter really."
"Wow," Angel said in a whisper. "Seriously, where have you been?!"
They laughed and she shrugged, "About four or five states away." She joked and they all laughed again.
"Okay here's another question," Angel said and Andy nodded, "I notice you vape. When did you quit smoking?"
"This past August. Funny thing I bought a pack of cigarettes first THEN I bought the vape."
"How long were you smoking?" Lynn asked.
"On and off since I was fourteen."
"What?!"
"Holy shit!"
"Fuck!"
The three of them said all at once and Andy laughed, "Well okay I was in Okinawa when I started then we moved back to the States and I didn't pick one up again until I was eighteen. Then, I stopped for six months, picked back up. Stopped when I was in Michigan for about eight months and I was twenty three at the time. Then slowly started to just stop. When I hurt my knee I completely stopped. Had my surgeries then picked it back up again. It just got to the point where I didn't like the taste anymore."
The three of them shook their heads and smiled, "You're a very interesting person Andrea." Brian said and put his arm around Angel.
"I gotta say this has been the best double date ever!" Angel said and the others couldn't help but agree.
"Hold on," Lynn said and they looked at her, "You were in Michigan?"
Andy nodded, "Yeah, I was up there for almost three years I think. I barely remember it though."
"Why?"
"Well I went back to Virginia and three days before I was supposed to go back to Michigan my friends and I went to a club that had a foam party. Well, my sister's best friend Kat pushed me and I sailed across the floor, my arms were swinging trying to get my balance and then I fell and hit my head. The next morning I thought it was 2010 but it was 2013. I lost all memory of Michigan. I'm still getting flashes of memories from there."
"What were you doing in Michigan?" Angel asked.
Andy sighed, "Again, I was young and naive, I moved up there with an ex girlfriend in hopes of getting back together."
"Well lucky for us you didn't," Brian said and laughed.
Andy nodded, "I still thank Kat every day for making me forget her."
"Was that ex girlfriend that bad?" Lynn asked.
Andy nodded, "Oh, yeah, let's just say that I had ONE relationship and she had seventeen in a year in a half."
"How is that even possible?!" Brian asked and with a shocked expression, same with Angel and Lynn.
And shook her head, "No idea, but she hated the fact that I had a girlfriend and that I worked so much when she made me have three jobs."
They shook their heads, "Damn Andy! Seriously! I said before and I'll say it again! You have a colorful life." Brian told her and she shook her head after taking a sip of her hot chocolate.
"Oh come on, what about you? You two along with Alex get to live out your dream and create music and touch lives with your words. You get to travel the world."
"True, but remember what Ethan said? It's not all glamorous," Lynn started to say, "We're away from our families, sometimes we go days without sleep, we fight with each other sometimes, and we are put under pressure to keep releasing music even when it's not ready.
We love our fans, we do, and we love how we can inspire them every day and we get to have that connection with them, but at the end of the day all we want is to be in our own beds. Get hugs from our parents, siblings, and friends. Also trying to avoid the reporters and having to not have rumors start."
"Like you and that actress." Brian said and Andy raised her eyebrow. When Lynn looked at her she couldn't help but think how hot Andy looked when she raised her left eyebrow in confusion.
"What actress?"
"You know that one from the that vampire movie," Brian started to say.
"Which one? There's a lot Brian," Andy said turning her attention to him.
"The one where they fucking sparkle!"
"Oh God! I hate those movies. The books were just as dumb as well!" Andy said shaking her head.
"Who makes a vampire sparkle?! I mean come on! The only vampires that count are from the Anne Rice novels, Buffy, and Angel! Now THOSE are vampires." Andy finished her hot chocolate and the other three were still nursing theirs.
"Okay wait and the ones that are part of the Shadow World."
"Nerd," Lynn said kissing Andy's cheek.
"Baby, you don't know the half of it!" Andy said with a wink.
"Lynn said you wanted to have at least ten tattoos before you turn thirty." Angel said.
Andy nodded, "Yup, I have nine now, I think I'll get the tenth one when I get back to Virginia."
"Do you know what you're going to get?" Brian asked.
Andy just smirked, "It's a surprise. I've been wanting this one for about three years. It's gonna go on my left bicep."
"How's your latest one treating you?" Angel asked and winked at Lynn.
Andy smiled, "Good. It's in the itching stage now and when I cross my arms I forget it's there. I love getting ink therapy. It's the best therapy out there."
"I couldn't agree more," Lynn said hooking her arm through Andy's and moving closer to her. Andy kissed the top of her head and smiled.
"Alright this round's on me," Brian said getting up and taking away their empty cups and throwing them away in a near by trash can.
"So what's the plan for the tomorrow? I know you wanna get the camp set up soon. Since New Years Eve is a couple of days away." Angel said looking at Andy.
"Why are you looking at me? I don't know where this place is." Lynn laughed and looked at Angel.
"I guess we can take them there at some point and they can scout it out and see where the best place to put the tents."
"What time should we all meet up?"
Andy and Lynn looked at each other and shrugged, "How about around two. I'm sure we all could use a bit of a sleep in."
"I gotta be honest with you, the longest I slept in was the day after Christmas, and well today, but that doesn't count because we were interrupted at two this morning. Oh hey by the way do you two know this number?" She took out her cell phone from her pocket and found the number and showed it to the two of them. Brian was making his second trip back and sat down.
"What are we looking at?" He asked.
Andy showed him the number.
"Who is that?"
Andy shook her head, "No idea, but they've called me like six times and I never answered. They sent me a text too, but I can't open it for some reason. Like it's blocked or something."
"Well it's definitely a Boston area code. But it's not a number I know." Angel said.
"Same, I have no idea." Lynn said looking up from her phone trying to see if the number popped up on her contacts.
Brian shook his head, "Yeah, no idea."
Andy shrugged, "Well, I always said that if it's important they would leave a voicemail, but they haven't."
"Speaking of phone numbers, Lynn did that one number ever text you again?" Brian asked and Lynn shook her head.
"No, I actually have no idea, I know Kara said to change my number. But I went to the store and they blocked the number for me. I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing my number and texting everyone that I got a new one."
"Makes sense," Brian said and took a sip of his hot chocolate.
"Okay, Andy, I need to put you on the spot again," Brian looked at Andy and smirked. She shook her head chuckled.
"What's your favorite song of ours?" He asked.
She took in a deep breath and let it out, "Wow, well I know all the words to every single one of your songs, so that's a start." They laughed and Andy started to really think.
"Hmm, well I have three from your White Noise album, and those are, 'Fire,' 'Holy,' and 'Mirrors.' From your second album, I'm not going to lie, 'Nola 1' is definitely my favorite. 'Winter,' 'What's Wrong,' and 'Walk Alone' are my other favorites. Also I just found out that y'all had earlier stuff but I didn't realize it was you. Because Lynn's voice sounded so young."
They laughed and Lynn blushed, "What songs?" Angel asked.
Andy took a sip of her hot chocolate and shrugged, "I think it was before you changed the A to a V. When Ethan and I would deep clean our apartment on our day off we always put on a PVRIS mix and these songs kept popping up. We thought it was someone else but there was that hint of familiarness to them. Then, Christmas night before I went to sleep, I was looking for meditation video to fall asleep to and 'Demon Limbs' popped up and it said it was by 'Paris.'
I just thought it was another band, but then I watched a live version and sure enough there all three of you were. Just jamming out and going hard, and I couldn't believe it."
"Man, we were so young," Brian said with a sigh and smiled.
"I love your music now don't get me wrong. You still have that edge in your music. It shows especially in 'Fire,' 'My House,' and 'No Mercy.' I also read some where that you changed your sound because a producer or some one said that you can make rock music with out making rock music or something like that." Andy told them and both Brian and Lynn nodded.
"Pretty much, plus when we went into the studio to record White Noise everything just seemed to change. But it was the type of music we wanted to make. It's not like we wanted to be different or anything. Everything just seemed to happen subconsciously and we went with it. We were skeptical at first. But then everyone really took to the White Noise and the rest is history." Brian explained.
"I do have a question about 'Nola 1," Andy said looking between Brian and Lynn. They both nodded and waited.
"Okay, so I gotta say when I first heard it I was like, this is different it's a nice beat to dance to and then the lyrics kick in and I was taken by surprise. Because the lyrics are kind of dark and the melody is so upbeat. How did that come about?"
"To be honest, it just flowed right for us. That song is definitely one of the songs I poured almost everything into, and I just wrote what I felt at the time. When we came up with the sound it just sounded right." Lynn explained and Brian nodded in agreement.
"I think that's why it's my favorite, because you hear it and you're like, alright let's dance," Andy said moving her shoulders a bit thinking about the song and everyone chuckled.
"Then the words kick and you just stop and you start to really listen and you're like, holy shit! Wow! That was my reaction to it. Because I was NOT expecting those words to come out.I feel like this was just me on a date with the three of you," she said and they laughed.
"It does seem that way. But I did have a good time." Angel said and Brian smiled looking at her.
He noticed she was shivering slightly, "Let's get going, it's getting cold." Everyone nodded and they stood up. Andy gathered their empty cups and tossed them in a near by trash can and put her arm around Lynn.
"How are you still warm in that hoodie? I just have my coat and I'm freezing!" Lynn asked and Brian turned around.
"Oh, wait, remember when Ethan said she would always say it's because her parents? I wanna hear this response!"
Andy laughed, "I consider myself hot blooded because my mom is Filipina and my dad is from the South. So I don't get that cold easily. Expect when I'm over at their house. I swear it's like Antarctica every time I'm over."
They got to the Jeep and Andy opened the door for Lynn. She touched her cheek and go into the passenger side. Brian watched Andy and Lynn and he couldn't help but smile. He started to think that maybe he should start learning to be a little bit more romantic with Angel. Just maybe he might start tonight.
Once everyone was settled inside in the car Andy took Lynn's hand in hers and started to drive away. Brian was giving her directions towards his and Angel's apartment. Andy assumed that she was going to drop off Lynn at her parents place, but Lynn told her that she lived four blocks away from Angel and Brian.
Wanting to keep her eyes on the road Andy's eyes went wide and Lynn saw her expression and laughed, "I'm sorry I never told you. I just got caught up in everything."
"Do you live with anyone?" Andy asked as she turned down the street.
Lynn shook her head, "I used to live with Alex but he moved out to his own place. Which is actually just two floors above me. I'm rarely home anyway. I tend to travel on our down time and I would go to either L.A. or New York for about a week or so."
Andy pulled up to the apartment complex and parked. She got out of the Jeep as did Lynn and they gave Brian and Angel a hug. Angel told Lynn that she would drop off her flowers tomorrow morning. Lynn thanked her and they all said good night. Again Andy opened the door for Lynn and she smiled getting into the Jeep.
When Andy was in the driver seat she checked to make sure Brian and Angel made into the building safely. She watched them walk inside and the disappear around the corner.
She smiled and looked at Lynn, "Where to?" She asked and Lynn took her hand in hers and started to give her directions towards her apartment.
*******************************************************************************
"There's one," Lynn said pointing to a visitor spot in the parking garage of her apartment complex. Andy parked the Jeep and turned it off. Without saying a word she got out of the Jeep and walked over to passenger side to open the door for Lynn.
"Seriously, I will never get used to that." She said with a smile as she got out and Andy closed the door behind her and locked the Jeep.
"You better, I plan to do it every time." Andy said taking her hand and kissing the back of it. Lynn blushed and started to lead Andy the way to the elevators. Lynn pressed the up button and they waited for an elevator. They both fell into this comfortable nervous silence. Both hearts were pounding and both minds were racing. Both were hoping that the other didn't feel how sweaty their palms became.
An elevator opened and Lynn went in first still leading Andy. She pressed her floor number and smiled looking at Andy who smiled back.
Both were just as nervous and they didn't know why. They've been alone with each other countless times before, but this time was different for some reason. For Lynn, this elevator ride seemed to last longer than usual. They heard the small ding and both let out a small breath of relief.
Still leading Andy, Lynn turned down the hallway and they walked hand in hand towards her apartment.
"How long have you been here?" Andy finally asked looking around at the tan walls.
"About four years now. Part of me wanted to move to Brooklyn because I fell in love with the city, but my heart has always been here." Andy nodded and they stopped in front of Lynn's apartment door.
"I had a really good time tonight," Andy said taking a small step towards her.
Lynn nodded looking up at her and put her arms around her neck, "Me too. Getting to know you has been an interesting journey."
Andy nodded and wrapped her arms around her waist, "Has it now?" She asked smiling leaning in and all Lynn could do was nod as her lips met Andy's.
As always it started soft and slow. Before they both knew it the kiss intensified. Andy pulled Lynn closer to her wanting to feel her against her. It wasn't long before Lynn felt Andy's tongue gently against her lips. Without even thinking Lynn let her in. The moment their tongues touched Andy pushed Lynn against her door and picked her up making her wrap her legs around her waist.
Andy pulled away and started to kiss along Lynn's jawline and her neck. Lynn let out a soft moan. The two forgot where they were in the moment and Lynn opened her eyes.
"Andy," she said softly and she pulled away. Both were trying to catch their breath.
"We should get inside." Andy just nodded and let Lynn down. She turned around and took her keys out of her coat pocket and opened her apartment door. She held it open for Andy and once they were inside, after the door closed Lynn rushed to lock it.
She didn't bother turning on the lights and just took Andy's hand and hurriedly led her to her bedroom. Once the door was closed Lynn rushed up to Andy and their lips met again. Andy took off Lynn's coat and she took off Andy's hoodie. Both were tossed blindly to the floor. Andy wasted no time and picked up Lynn. Their lips never breaking as she gently laid her down. Lynn was making quick work of Andy's button down shirt.
Andy sat up and took her off her shirt and tossed it blindly to the floor. She slowly leaned down and looked at Lynn. She touched her cheek and gently kissed her lips. With one hand holding herself up her other hand was unbuttoning her blouse. They both sat up their lips never breaking as Lynn took off her blouse and tossed it to the floor.
She pulled away from Andy and her hands were at the bottom of her tank top and she pulled it over Andy's head. With another article of clothing gone Lynn took her hand and started to slowly touch Andy's skin.
Both felt a small jolt of electricity just like the one they felt on the bus in October. Andy closed her eyes as she felt Lynn's soft hands on her skin. She rested her forehead against hers trying to catch her breath. As much as she wanted to go further something was stopping her. Lynn was also feeling the same way.
"Can you turn on the light?" Andy asked softly and Lynn nodded. She reached over and turned on her lamp on her night stand then looked up at Andy. She got off her good knee and sat down on the bed.
"As much as I want this to keep going, something's stopping me," She confessed looking down at her hands.
Lynn let out a small sigh of relief and took Andy's face in her hands and smiled, "I was thinking the same thing."
Andy gave her a small smile and took her hands in hers, "I mean it's not that I don't want to. I just feel like I want our first time to be special and not rushed."
Lynn nodded and kissed Andy's forehead, "You're too sweet to me."
Andy kissed Lynn's hands and looked up at her, "You're special to me and I just want to make sure this would be worth it."
"I'm not going to lie to you, I was scared when we started to take things off," Lynn said with a small chuckle and Andy smiled.
"I've only ever slept with two girls in my life, and I haven't really had anything since Nicole. I'm a bit rusty on a lot of things." Andy confessed and Lynn moved to straddle Andy's lap.
"I'm sure our first time is going to be magical. You've made me feel safe, wanted, and as if I was the only woman in the world to get your attention. I couldn't ask for anything better." She pulled Andy in close and kissed the top of her head. Andy sighed and wrapped her arms around Lynn's waist. Their soft skins making contact made them both sigh and they stayed like that for a few more moments. Just enjoying each other's touch.
Lynn gently pulled away and started to giggle. Andy gave her a confused smile.
"I just realized we still have our shoes on, and we're still on my bed." Andy's eyes went wide and gently moved Lynn off of her lap. She quickly swung her legs over the edge of the bed and took off her shoes. Lynn was doing the same thing.
When they both had their shoes off the turned to each other and just started to laugh. Lynn stood up and walked over to her dresser and pulled out some clothes.
"So earlier today Angel and I went out to the store and I subconsciously bought these." She turned around and gave Andy a pair of black and red checkered pajama pants and a black tank top.
Andy smiled and stood up, "Why Lynn Gunn were you trying to get me into your bed?"
She asked jokingly and took the articles of clothing and kissed her forehead, "Thank you."
Lynn blushed, "Well I've spent a lot of time in yours, I think it's mine turn now."
Andy nodded, "I'll give you that." They both started to get ready to go to bed when Andy's phone started to ring. The two women looked at each other wondering who would be calling this late. Andy looked at her phone and it was the number. She showed Lynn who took a few steps to stand by her. Andy just let it go and they waited a few minutes to see if this number would leave a voicemail, they didn't. They just shrugged and just as Andy was about to put her phone down on the night stand her phone started to ring again.
This time it was her sister, "Why is she calling this late?" She asked looking at Lynn and answered her phone.
"What's up Wendy?" She asked with a smile.
"Andrea! I need to not be mad at me for the next ten minutes." She heard her little sister say in a rushed tone.
"What did you do?"
