This is a work of fiction. I do not know Eminem (Marshall Mathers). I do not make any money from the writing of this story.

Ok guys I just noticed how many hits this story has. Can I say wow! Lol. I’m so happy you all keep coming back to it! Thanks so much! I’ve decided to do something special for all of us because of your continuing support. So my proposition is if this story can get to 30 reviews on here, with hopefully some new ppl commenting too, then I’ll write a bonus chapter including something of the next 11 reviewer’s choices…(that means the next 11 ppl who review after the 19th review)… I love to see what you guys like or hate about a story because it lets me know what I can do to make it better. Can we tell I’m looking for some more feedback here? Lol. But really thanks again y’all. Everyone that has been reviewing both on here and to my e-mail…you guys mean the world to me and are the reason this fic wasn’t scrapped a long time ago…
**CHAPTER 15**
The group had fun at the beach for a few more hours, Brian had finally gotten over whatever had been holding him back and joined them in the water for awhile before they retreated back to the sand for a rest. Ally played with the girls, making sand castles and collecting shells along the waters edge while Marshall and Brian listened to music back on the blanket.
“So you listen to a lot of music huh?” Marshall asked as he flipped through Brian’s cd collection.
“Yea. I don’t like one kind better than another ‘cause every type has its good and bad ya know?”
“I get that. You got anything you listen to more though?”
“Well, I usually listen to the new stuff I get a lot. So I can memorize the cd and all. Then when there is nothing else to listen to, because no one is putting anything out, I’ll go back and listen to whatever I’m in the mood for. But I usually get into rap and rock the most.”
“Both got good ass beats.”
“Yea. Sometimes I get instrumentals, like the ones that the DJ’s put out and just throw those on.”
“Yea?” Marshall asked, looking up from the collection.
“Yea. It’s cool to just listen to the music and have the words in your head ya know?”
“You rhyme?”
“No. I can’t write…” Brian laughed.
“But you like music…and you don’t need an actual song on it to get into it. That’s cool man. You should think about producing or something.”
Brian nodded and smiled slightly. “I want to. I know that whatever I do when I get older, it’s gonna have something to do with music.”
“That’s cool. If you want it enough, you’ll do it. You seem like the type to know what he wants and goes after it.”
“Yea. If I had the chance I would.” Brian mumbled and switched the song.
Marshall watched him out of the corner of his eye. This kid was smart and he obviously loved music. He knew what he wanted, which was rare in 15 year olds. All he needed was someone to believe in him. Pay attention to him and actually care about what he had to say.
“So I gotta go do some work at the studio tomorrow, you think you would wanna come?” Marshall asked, watching him closely.
Brian’s head snapped up and he stared at Marshall for a moment. “You want me to go to your studio with you?”
“Well it aint my studio…more like Dre’s but yea, why not? You can see some of how we lay a track and shit. I don’t know if we’re recording or anything yet, but maybe if I can get some shit written while you’re there…”
“Dre? He’s gonna be there?”
“Yea, homie. He’s gonna be working my ass tomorrow since I haven’t really been doing too much since I been out here. You’re gonna be my ticket home early too.” Marshall grinned.
“I don’t know if I should go. You probably got a lot of work and I would just mess you up and Dr. Dre is gonna be there and…”
“Chill man…I wouldn’ta asked if I thought you was gonna mess me up or something. How else are you gonna know if it’s what you want to do. You gotta mess around with it before you devote your life to it right?”
“I guess…” Brian frowned.
“Aight, so you’re gonna go then right?”
“Um…yea?” Brian said confusedly.
Brian couldn’t believe this was happening. Eminem wanted him to go to the studio with him! Was this actually happening? And as if Eminem wasn’t big enough. Dr. Dre was gonna be there too. Brian was worried he would embarrass himself. Now that he was getting to know Eminem, he wasn’t so star struck. But then again he wasn’t acting like Eminem either. He wasn’t rapping or putting on a show, he was just out with his daughter and…a friend. Brian actually understood now that Eminem and Marshall Mathers were two different people. Eminem was public, he was the superstar the people wanted to see. Marshall was just that…Marshall. He was the man that made up Eminem, but Eminem wasn’t who he was and he wasn’t just Eminem. Brian almost snorted thinking about how people wouldn’t believe Marshall Mathers was normal. It was actually kind of nice to meet someone who was so famous and rich and yet normal and down to earth.
“What are you guys up to?” Ally asked as she and the girls walked back up to them.
“Looks like Brian is gonna come to the studio with me tomorrow.”
“Really?” Ally asked surprised.
“Yea, turns out he wants to be a producer so I’ma help him out and let him see what it’s all about.”
“Wow, that’s…really cool.” Ally said as she sat down next to Marshall.
Brian smiled slightly, but looked uncomfortable at all the attention being on him.
“Well, I’m sure you guys will have fun.” Ally said with a smile.
“What are we gonna do then Ally?” Hailie asked as she plopped down next to her and Tiffany down by Ally’s feet.
“Well, we can figure something out if your dad doesn’t have plans for you.”
“Nah, you guys can do something.”
“Cool!” Hailie smiled happily.
“Can I come?” Tiffany asked, sitting up on her knees, before settling on her heels.
“Of course you can, Tiff. We wouldn’t leave you out.” Ally smiled.
“Ok!” Tiffany laughed, happy she was being invited after all.
“Yea, We’ll have lots of fun Tiffy poo!” Hailie giggled as she crawled down to her new friend.
“Tiffy poo? Hai, she’s only a year younger than you. Don’t treat her like a baby.” Marshall groaned.
His daughter had an unusual habit of giving people nicknames all the time. Some were cute enough but most of the time they were just…not. Like when she had turned four and was just starting to really talk, she had walked up to Bizarre who had been over visiting, gave him a hug and called him her teddy bear. Now at six she varied between calling him her teddy and uncle bear. And that wasn’t even to mention when she didn’t like someone, what she came up with. When he and Kim were going through the divorce she had to see a lot of lawyers and counselors and the one court appointed shrink had really gotten on her nerves. His name was Parker Flishman and as Hailie had put it…he stunk, and quite literally at that. Hailie had taken to calling him Fishman, which the poor man thought was an honest mistake. At the time it wasn’t nearly as funny because Marshall really wanted to impress the court and having a smart mouthed daughter was sure to look bad for him. But in the end it had all worked out and it was something the pair would laugh about whenever they thought of it.
“She likes it Dad!” Hailie said, breaking into his thoughts.
“Well I don’t, so quit it.”
“But…”
“Ok guys…how about we start wrapping this up so we can head to the movies?” Ally quickly said, hoping to stop the on coming argument.
“Yea, that sounds good to me.” Marshall said, jumping up so they could start to clean up.
It didn’t take long for everyone to get everything together and cleaned up so they could make their way back to the limo and then to the movies. The kids piled all the blankets and beach toys they had in the limo’s trunk and quickly jumped into the limo. By the time they got to the now vacant theater, except of course for the few staff members who were scattered around, stomachs were growling and the two young girls were whining they were hungry.
“Ok Ok…just chill out.” Marshall said as they walked up to the snack area. “Now what do you guys want?”
“Candy!”
“Popcorn!”
“Ice Cream!”
“Nachos!” The girls yelled together.
“Um how about no...” Marshall deadpanned as he rolled his eyes.
“Dad…”Hailie whined and Tiffany chiming in a soft “Marshall…”
“Hailie…Tiffany…don’t whine at me…” Marshall rhymed in the same tone they had used.
“How about we get some hotdogs and popcorn?” Ally chirped, hoping to solve the problem.
“But we want nachos too!”
“But if you eat a lot now, you won’t be hungry for dinner, which isn’t that far away.” Ally pointed out.
“But then what’s for dinner?” Hailie asked smartly.
“You’ll find out at dinner.” Marshall snapped, before turning back to the girl waiting patiently behind the counter. “Two large combos with cokes and two small cokes and…hey whatcha want Brian?”
“Oh um…a medium popcorn and coke is good.”
“Ok…what he said and then we need…” Marshall turned to Ally and Brian...“How many dogs you guys want?”
They both asked for one each and Marshall nodded before looking back at the girl. “And then five hotdogs.” He said before sliding his credit card over to her.
After they retrieved their order and added all the butter they could to their buckets, the group then made their way into the assigned theater and took a seat, all of them settling back to watch the show.
