Oh God, Luca, Gerard thought as he watched the scene unfold before him through the tiny window in the hospital room door. Why?
She was with Frank, hugging him, kissing him, telling him that she loved him. Him, not Gerard. WHY? That wasn't right. She loved Frank? He turned away from the window and leaned against the wall, his head rolling back to rest against it. He closed his eyes, trying to make sense of what he had just seen. No, it can't be......he told her that he never wanted to see her again.....she wanted me so bad that night.....she can't go back to him!
He choked back tears. Oh, Luca.... Why was she doing this? Didn't she know that HE loved her? More than Frank could even comprehend. He knew that they were supposed to be together. He needed her. He couldn't live without her......she shouldn't be able to live without him! That's it, she's lying.....to Frank. She doesn't really love him. But then why is he in there with her?
His thoughts were dark and pressing on him, like a wet blanket, threatening to snuff him, steal his oxygen. He felt like he was choking and starved for air.....This wasn't right. He told her that he loved her.....HE LOVED HER! She had said that her and Frank were no more, and he'd won! Hadn't he won? She was supposed to be with him, not Frank!
He ran blindly down the hospital corridors looking for the exit. He had to get out of here.....
There! He ran through the doors, inhaling a deep breath of the fresh, cool, night air. He ran his fingers through his shoulder length black hair, breathing slowly, trying to calm his racing heart. His broken heart. Not again.....Beth....
The tears finally spilled, running down his face and onto the ground. No. NO. He wouldn't let this happen again. It was Frank's fault. He was always showing up at inopportune times, telling Luca that he loved her or some bullshit like that. And she always fell for it. He was always getting in the way......But if he were....out of the picture.....she would be with him or..or...no one...he'd make sure of that.....
