Christa Théret is a French actress who Captain discovered in a movie she did called “Renoir.” It was a “based on a true story” film about Andrée Heuschling, who modeled for famed painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir near the end of his life. Renoir painted quite a number of nudes in his career, so of course Christa had a lot of nude scenes in the movie.
Christa and Rose Bertram have a bunch of conversations in French. Rose is from Belgium, a country where French is one of the official languages. However, French is a language that Captain doesn’t speak, at least not as fluently as he speaks English or Spanish. The difference between Spanish and French is that Spanish is a mostly phonetic language, whereas French has silent letters like a shark has teeth. He knows a few French words, and Rose has been kind enough to give him a few lessons, but he still has a ways to go.
That being said, he can pick up context if he pays close enough attention. Captain was once sitting in the dining hall two tables over from Rose, Chanel, and Christa. Everytime Chanel got up for whatever reason, Rose and Christa would talk in French. Chanel wanted to get an omelet, but there were a lot of women already in line, so she decided to wait it out. When the line was finally short enough, Chanel got in line. Christa asked Rose a question that Captain couldn’t quite understand, then Rose listed the names of some vegetables and Captain figured that Christa was asking what Rose liked in an omelet.
Rachel was also in the cafeteria, and upon getting some fruit salad joined Captain at his table. It was the day after the event and, as promised, he was spending at least part of his day with Rachel. He already had food in his residence; he was just keeping Rachel company while she was having her meal. Besides, he can’t think about food when he’s too distracted by the abs of the fitness enthusiast sitting next to him.
“How did you sleep?” he asked.
“Pretty good, thank you,” answered Rachel before drinking from her cup of water.
Captain placed his hand next to her thigh, but didn’t touch it without first asking “May I?” Rachel removed the cup from her lips, quickly glanced down at his hand, nodded, and replied “Yeah, go ahead.”
Although he is first and foremost an ass guy, Captain always appreciates a nice set of legs. He gently rubbed Rachel’s thigh as they talked, summoning all of the willpower necessary to concentrate. Rachel is very much a stunner. Captain took a peek at her breasts. She had implants when she was 18, but barely anyone would be able to tell without already knowing that. Even then, whoever did the implants was clearly good at their job.
“What have you been working on lately?” she asked right before biting into a strawberry.
“Oh, you know,” Captain shrugged and paused to give Rachel time to chew. “Boring stuff.”
Rachel chuckled, swallowed her food, and remarked “Sounds like what Madalina does.”
“Yeah, well, it wouldn’t be fair to her if I didn’t help her with any of the boring stuff.”
“Speaking of you doing stuff,” she said, looking at Captain slyly, “what should we do first when we get back upstairs?”
Captain gave Rachel’s thigh a tight squeeze and lowered his voice, “I’m a flexible guy. Take your pick and I’ll play along.”
Rachel offered him some of her fruit salad. He took a grape and a piece of pineapple before they left for her room.
