Chapter 16 Well today is the day that I head back home. I packed everything up, including some stuff from the hotel that they gave us. I wasn't sure what was going to happen when I stepped out of the hotel. I decided I was going to wear a pair of jeans, T-shirt and light sweater I had bought. I also got some clip on sunglasses to shield my eyes from the sun. I guess I looked decent enough. While I was at the hotel I did get a few beauty treatments, because I was really tan from being on the island and I'm scared of skin cancer. I thought it was going to be a peaceful exit. I was wrong. As soon as I stepped out of the hotel all I could see of flashes going off, people sticking microphones in my face and asking me tons of questions. I noticed a bunch of guys around me Right way.
The car that came to get me was a nice car and I was put in the back with my luggage and I was clutching my carryon bag to my chest and I couldn't breath. It was awful, but I was glad to get into the car and once we drove off I was able to relax. I didn't say anything as I was being driven to the bus station. I didn't even notice who was in the front passenger seat until he turned around. It was Christian. He smiled at me. "I thought you could use a ride to the bus station." I reached up and he took my hand gently. "Thanks." I didn't know what else to say. Christian turned back around when he let go of my hand and I looked out the window and watched as things went by in the window. Christian was fiddling with the radio station when a song came on and it made me smile. It was "Bittersweet Symphony." I don't know if Christian knew that it was a song that reminded me of him. "So Morgan, do you have any plans when you get back home?" Christian asked as he turned around to look at me. "I'm probably going to write a book, since I doubt I'll be working ever again." I smile at Christian. "Well if you do write that book, you promise to give me an autographed copy?" I nod my head. "Of course Christian, you'll get the first copy, but aren't you worried that it might be about our time on the island?" I leaned over to tell him. Christian shakes his head. "No, but I have a feeling that the book will be based on our life there." I nod my head. "Well that's an idea." I lean back and then look out the window. "If I did it like a diary, it would only be my side of the story, but if I did it with you Christian we could do it so everyone understands what we went through to survive there." I look at Christian and notice he's nodding. "You mean you want to get my side of the story too?" I nod my head. "Of course Christian, but are you sure you want to put yourself out there like that?" I ask as I lean in to whisper. "Well I would like everyone to know how I felt about it and my feelings of being there and trying to survive and etc." I smile. "You know what Christian you should take a tape recorder and talk in it all the way to the beginning of how you felt, but whatever you do, don't say anything negative that will make you sound conceited and etc." Christian smiled. "I'm just going to tell my side of the story and when you have my side and your side then we can write it into a book and people can see what it was like for us." I smiled again. "Yeah." After that, the only thing you could hear was the radio playing. Which was ok for me, because I had a lot to write about. First thing I do when I get back home is buy a nice top of the line laptop and start writing. About an hour later I'm standing at the bus station with Christian. He leans in to kiss me and we hug, then he whispers so nobody can hear. "I love you and no good-byes". I nod my head and Christian and I pose for pictures with each other, I had purchased one of those throwaways and so did Christian, so we just took some pictures and then I walked onto the bus with my carryon and one piece of luggage that wasn't very big. All my important stuff is in the carryon; the luggage is just clothes and other things I got from the hotel. I wasn't going to take a chance of anybody getting his or her hands on anything from my carryon. I didn't even mention the pictures we took when we were at the hotel. I can't wait to get them developed. Most of them are pictures of me at the hotel. A few are of Christian and I out on the balcony of the hotel. I have a feeling that nothing is going to be different when I get back home, except where I'm going to be living and etc. As the bus leaves I wave at Christian and then once he's gone. I pull out my journal and write down what just happened. I had slipped the disposable camera down all the way to bottom for save keeping. I have a feeling this trip is going to be a long one and I will probably get zero amount of sleep, because I would be too worried about someone going into my carryon. I was told it would take a few days to get there. Later that night the bus stopped so we could get something to eat. I bought a few books to read and ate some fast food. Once we got back on I went to the bathroom and then settled into my seat. Of course I never left my carryon bag on the bus both times we stopped. I had a feeling that once I got home I would be sleeping for a few days. Occasionally I would look around at the people on the bus, but other than that not much was going to happen. If anybody knew who I was they didn't come up and talk to me. Once I got into the book it was hard to put down, since it was the latest Harry Potter book that had come out the year that I was gone. I never missed reading a Harry Potter book and this was the last one in the series. So I knew that time would go fast if I read. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
