My Babies Daddy

As soon as they had finished taking the photos, everyone, including the photographers went inside. A three course meal was served. They had to be careful with what they served, mainly because both Nikki and Vanessa were pregnant.

Some of the fancy dishes that are usually served at weddings were swimming in alcohol. Obviously this was a bad choice and a sure recipe for disaster, as far as both Nikki and Vanessa were concerned.

The first course was a Carrot & Coriander soup, which the children could eat without complaining how icky it was. The second

course was a Poached Chicken Supreme in a lemon and Asparagus Sauce. And the final course was Profiteroles and Chocolate Sauce.

It was simple, but there was something there that everyone was sure to like. For example the soup for the children, and the desert, and then there was the chicken for the adults.

As soon as everyone had finished eating, it was time for the speeches. Elijah was going to make one and Amanda was as well.

Elijah went first, smirking at Zac as he stood up. Zac suddenly had a bad feeling. He muttered as much to Nikki, who had to stifle her own smirk.

Elijah cleared his throat and began. “I’ve know both Zac and Nikki since filming the first Hairspray movie over just a year and a half ago. I remember seeing Zac, and thinking whoa what a pretty boy, I wonder if there is actual talent there, and not just a pretty face.”

He went on; when he saw Zac was smirking at him. “Then I heard him sing, and saw him act and dance, and had to sadly admit, no matter how much it pained me to do so at the time, he was a sight more then a pretty face.”

He added after a brief pause “I’ll admit it, at first I just thought he was going to be one of those actors with no brains, and have only his looks going for him. I’m glad and proud to say he proved me wrong.”

Zac suddenly remarked blandly “I’ve spent most of the time I’ve known you proving that to you, Kelley.” This earn a few chuckles,

Elijah included, at the tone of voice Zac had used. Elijah continued smirking at Zac. “Oh, don’t you let that bland tone of his fool you, he enjoyed proving me wrong, don’t make any mistake about that.” Zac let out a chuckle and nodded in agreement.

Elijah went on “I knew the pretty boy was head of heels for Nikki, probably about three months into rehearsal before actual filming began. It was amusing to watch him get all jealous when she’d talk to me, or Spaeth and Holbrook. Christ or any other male for that matter.”

He smirked at the mock glower Zac sent his way; everyone chuckled when they saw the playful glower Zac was shooting his best friend and man. Nikki was eyeing Zac teasingly, and smirked, as he flushed and avoided her teasing and knowing gaze.

Elijah continued, clearly enjoying making Zac squirm in front of his wife. “God, do I love to watch him squirm, especially in front of his wife.” This caused more chuckles and Zac to burry his face in his hands. He was shaking his head. He added, as Zac lifted his face from his hands “Wow, doesn’t he blush prettily.”

Everyone laughed out loud at this, as Zac looked ready to wring Elijah’s neck, and Elijah knew this. He continued “And finally I’m proud to admit to the fact he is one of my best and closest friends. The fact he chose me to be his best man, only makes it more of an honour to be his friend.”

He concluded “Now I’d like to raise a toast to Zac and Nikki, may your marriage be long, happy and interesting one, as we can’t have Zac getting bored now, can we. As a dull Zac, makes a very dull pretty boy indeed.”

Everyone laughed at this, Zac included, having finally raised his face from his hands. Elijah finally raised his champagne glass and said “To Zac and Nikki.” Everyone raised their glasses and echoed his words “To Zac and Nikki.”

Zac and Nikki smirked when Elijah mocked bowed to them, causing even more chuckles among the guests and family and friends.

Next Amanda took her turn, after Elijah had retaken his seat. Amanda gave Elijah a mock stern look, before commenting jokingly “Anyone would think he’s jealous of Zac’s charming looks, seeing as he insists on referring to him as a pretty boy.”

Everyone chuckled at this, and laughed when Elijah commented in return. “I’m most certainly not jealous of a guy who looks like he could be only thirteen years old when he first wakes up with bed hair, sticking up in all directions. I’m happy with my own manly looks thank you very much.”

Amanda let out a little giggle before continuing. “Anyway, Elijah has covered Zac, now its my turn to cover the lovely Nikki.” Nikki grinned at her friend, who returned it with a grin of her own.

“I remember when I first met Nikki. She was the sweetest, and most out going person I had ever had the pleasure of meeting. It was her first movie, and I honestly expected her to be all shy, but she wasn’t, she acted so professionally.”

She went on after a brief pause. “Her smile and light and bubbly personality is enough to brighten up anyone’s day, even on them most trying of days. She has a heart of pure gold.”

She went on after another brief pause. “I remember how she helped me, and I helped her in return. You see, whilst on the set of Hairspray, both she and I found we were falling in love with two certain males, I with Elijah and Nikki with Zac.”

She added “It was difficult, because I honestly never thought Elijah could ever be interested in me. It hurt a lot and I found it almost impossible to do certain scenes with Elijah that required me to get close to him. I would turn into a blushing, stuttering and stumbling mess. Nikki encouraged me to just be myself and tell him how I truly felt.”

She went on “But I never realised Nikki was having a worse time of it then I was. I remember watching her whole sunny personality briefly crumble, when one time Zac was on his cell, to Vanessa, his girlfriend back then. I remember the conversation had been obviously a personal one, and Zac had not known either I or Nikki had over heard him.”

She continued after a brief pause. “Anyway, Nikki became discouraged, she figured she never stood a chance, and compared herself to Vanessa. She would be often reduced to tears, she managed to hide it from the others, but I always saw.”

She continued “But I saw what Nikki couldn’t. I saw the looks Zac would shoot her way when he didn’t think anyone was looking. I saw the longing, and the envious looks whenever Nikki would talk or laugh with Elijah or the other male cast members like Phillip and Curtis.”

She smiled “I also saw, like everyone else most likely did, the casual touches they would exchange. The glances they exchanged and the lack of regard for each others personal space.”

She concluded “I’m proud to say she is my best friend and like a sister to me. It is even more of an honour that she chose me as her maid of honour, which is why I stand here now, and can honestly say, she has found her mister right, and go as far as to say her soul mate.”

She finally concluded “I hope their love continues to grow and become that much deeper. I know they’ll last, they far too stubborn and in love for it to not. So I would like to raise a toast to my best friend and sister.”

She raised her glass and said “To Nikki and Zac.” Everyone raised their glasses and echoed her “To Nikki and Zac.” Nikki had

tears in her eyes, while Zac was eyeing his wife in wonder. He and she would have to have a talk later on. He hadn’t even begun to imagine how long she must have felt like he would never return her feelings.

Twenty minutes later it was time for Zac and Nikki to share their first dance as a married couple. Nikki loved the song ‘Have you ever really loved a woman, by Bryan Adams’ Zac wasn’t exactly a fan of the song, but he didn’t dislike it. But knowing how much Nikki liked it easily persuaded him to allow it to be their wedding song.

Zac took Nikki by the hand and lead her to the large area that had been cleared specially for dancing. Zac and Nikki had hired a group that consisted of six people. Two lead singers, who were male and female, the female could play the violin.

And another woman, who can play the piano and the violin, also there were two men who could play the guitar, an electric base and a guitar mainly used for Spanish music, and finally another woman who could play the violin and guitar.

Nikki smiled slightly, as the first cords of the song started to play. They moved across the floor, gracefully. Nikki was surprisingly graceful for being five months pregnant, everyone seem to note. The man sang, as the others played the required instruments. He had a lovely voice, it was a rich tenor.

Zac and Nikki continued to dance. Zac leaned down and whispered “Why did you never say anything, why did you suffer in silence? You should have told me how you’d felt sooner. I and Vanessa could have broken up sooner. She could have been with Phillip and I could have been with you that much sooner.”

He added “Why did it take one night and you getting pregnant for us to finally get to where we are now?” Nikki sighed and leaned

closer against him as they continued to dance. She told him. “I didn’t want to be the one responsible for breaking you and Vanessa up. Plus there was the matter of me not knowing that you felt the same. I don’t honestly think I would have been able to of endured any kind of rejection, at least of all from you.”

Zac replied gently “You would have honestly been doing me and Vanessa a favour if you had. We were completely miserable just

going though the motions, and putting on an act for the rest of the world to see, showing them what they expected to see.”

Nikki replied “I hadn’t been aware that you two were having problems until that night you up and told me. And we both know what happened after that. My stomach is currently a reality of what happened.”

The man continued to sing, and Zac and Nikki continued to dance gracefully together, as if they’d been doing for years, and were

meant to be dancing like that. They looked so natural and right, as they danced together.
A few people cheered and wolf whistle, as Zac leaned down and gently captured Nikki’s mouth with his own. Nikki wrapped her

arms around his neck, as they swayed to the music. After a few moments they pulled away, and continued dancing, looking

lovingly into each others eyes. The loved practically flowed off of them. It was a stunning sight to behold.

Karen and Carl Blonsky exchanged knowing smiles with Starla and David Efron. They could see how deeply in love with each

other their children were. Karen and Starla beamed, and Carl and David grinned widely, when Zac leaned down and kissed Nikki. They could see the loving tenderness in that kiss even from where they were sitting, watching.

Amanda and Elijah grinned at each other, as Elijah wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, before kissing her

gently. They then turned to watch their best friends continued to dance together, with a grace as if they were one whole person entirely.

Vanessa and Phillip also exchanged a kiss, before looking at Zac and Nikki in awe. The love was practically shinning out of them.

Vanessa practically melted when she saw how tender and loving the kiss between Zac and Nikki had been.

The rest of the Hairspray cast and the HSM cast, watched as the newly weds danced around the floor. John and Christopher exchanged knowing looks, and smiled when Zac kissed Nikki.

James Marsden was sitting, smiling along with Michelle and Queen Latifah. James marvelled at the stunning sight the paired made,

they truly were made for each other. Michelle and Queen Latifah couldn’t help the smiles that graced their faces when they saw the loving kiss Zac and Nikki shared.

Finally the song ended, and the group started to play another. Zac and Nikki left the dance floor, and other people started to get up and dance, to the song that was now being played. It was ‘Have you ever, By Westlife’

Finally it was time for Zac to toss the garter and Nikki to toss her bouquet. Zac kneeled down on one knee in front of Nikki, who sat

down on a chair. Zac lifted the hem of Nikki’s gown, and smirked up at Nikki, as his hand disappeared completely underneath the layers of silk and lace.

Nikki hardly stifled a giggle; Zac teasingly smoothed his hand up her tight, caressing the soft flesh there and the lace of her white stockings. After a moment he removed the garter and held it up.

The guys cheered, as all of the young and unmarried men got up and gathered in a group, as Zac turned his back to them, before

throwing the garter over his shoulder. He turned when their came cheers and clapping from the guys. Zac smirked when he saw it was Elijah who had caught the garter.

Next it was Nikki’s turn to throw the bouquet. All of the free girls and women gather in a group. Nikki then turned her back to them,

before throwing the bouquet up in the air over her shoulder. She had to use quite some force and jump up slightly, because of how short she was. Zac knew this and chuckled.

Nikki turned when there came several squeals and giggles from the females. She beamed when she saw a blushing Amanda

holding the bouquet. Nikki clapped, and said “I guess this means you two are the next to get married.”

Everyone cheered as Amanda went and sat on the chair Nikki had been on, and lifted the hem of her dress, as Elijah got down on

one knee and slowly rolled the garter up her leg, until he reached her mid tight.

He then stood, and they shared a dance together, just to the two of them. The group played the song ‘It takes two, which Zac had

sung in the movie. Zac and everyone else chuckled at this, while Amanda and Elijah laughed and shook their heads, as they danced.

The reception continued on until early in the evening before everyone, either left for their cars, or went up to their rooms they had

paid to stay the night in. Above half of the guests had opted to do this. Meaning the mansion was packed.
