Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not know the members of S.K.I.N or Dir en Grey. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
AN: I'm sorry it took so long to put this chapter out. Really it was done awhile ago but I wanted to put a lemon in it. However I really havent' been inthe mood to write a good lemon. If I wrote one it would be cheap and I don't like cheap lemons. Anyways if anyone out there reads this and has an idea for a good lemon. Write it out and send it to kimi_gurl69@yahoo.ca I'll give you full credit for it.

Small Favors
A few days later...
Angel ran her hands through her short black hair, she then huffed back onto the bed. She was so BOARD! She was lying on a large and soft bed in the dark. She smirked, this man needed to get some light into his life.
“It’s a little dark don’t you think?”
Her head turned as she spotted the man coming from the dim lit bathroom. “You seem a little depressed” he said.
She sat up and gave a sexy smile “Would you like to come cheer me up?”
He smirked and he walked over to the bed and leaned down to kiss her. She surprised him by grabbing him and pulling him roughly to her. She pulled the man onto her body and wrapped her arms around him. “Take me” she whispered in her ear.
He turned his mouth to her and entrapped her mouth. She had no time for foreplay.

Meanwhile...
She was preparing a cup of tea for him. It would help settle his stomach and warm him. Though he was drenched with sweat, he was still freezing. She knew he shouldn’t be in the room with the other members, however...they seemed so worried about him.
She smiled at the thought, they were so thoughtful. They brought him magazines and movies, and music for him to entertain himself when I wouldn’t be there. But at the same time, those magazines’ brought by Die and Toshiya may have not been the best idea right now. He wouldn’t in remission for awhile. They should’ve waited, however she knew they would feel bad if they didn’t bring anything over for him when they came to visit.
She stirred the tea leaves lightly when suddenly she heard a retching sound. Her body went into ‘nurse’ mode. She put down the teaspoon, then ran passed the hallway to the bathroom, she opened the sink cabinet and grabbed a large basin. She then ran towards and down the hall.
Running into the room, she saw Kyo leaned over the bed and the retching sound repeating, she grabbed a stool and slammed the basin on it, she then quickly brushed passed the horrified band members and pulled Kyo up. His hand lifted to push her away however he was quite weak, weak enough for her to ignore, she moved his hand then reached down and lifted his neck, she propped the stool beside his bed then instructed him “Puke into this” the basin would be able to hold a lot.
Kyo reached over and placed both of his hands on either side of the basin before emptying the contents of his stomach into the pot.
She turned and saw that Die and Shinya looked like they were going to follow the singer’s example, and Toshiya and Kaoru were staring in wonder “Come on” she lifted her hands “let’s go, no need to make yourselves sick as well.”
She ushered them out of the room.
She lay tea cups in front of the five men before her, “You were smart Inoue-san” she smiled as she poured them tea “Not to go into that room.”
Inoue nodded “I figured that when he started to puke.”
“Is he going to be okay?” Shinya asked with concern “He seems to be getting worse.”
“That is a good thing Shinya-kun” she replied “You always get worse before you get better. He’s really burning up lately, I suspect his fever to break tonight. No need to worry. He will be fine.”
She finished pouring them tea before laying out honey “Drink up” she said “It’s a special blend to settle your stomachs and protect you from the virus.”
“We owe you alot Kaiora-chan” Kaoru bowed “You’ve taken care of Kyo-san with such care and without asking for anything in return...”
“No need to give me such praise” she replied with a blush “I am greatful to help. You have always been kind to me, I am thankful to have such good friends. I know he worries Yoshiki as well.”
The others nodded, she then rose “I think I’ll clean the mess. Excuse me.”
She then turned to gather her cleaning supplies.
The five men watched her go, “I think we should take our leave” Die said.
“I’ll stay” Kaoru replied “it will be awhile before she’s able to clean the mess he made. It would only be proper to offer my assistance.”
Toshiya nodded “I’ll stay too, just incase she needs some extra help; and Yoshiki-san said he was going to come by later.”
The other’s nodded “That may be for the best” Shinya said “However I wanted to continue recording. I’m feeling a little anxious.”
Die nodded “I need a drink, and this tea isn’t really cutting it.”
Inoue smiled.

Jo pulled out her cell phone as it began to ring. She looked at the name on the display and gave a hard sigh. She clicked it open and lifted the mic to her lips “Ophelia” she said “I’ve already told you what’s going to happen...”
“Bring...her...home...now” came Ophelia’s venom dripping voice.
“I really dont’ see why this should concern you” Jo continued on “You and Kaiora have never gotten along. Even when you first met her she saw you for the evil, conniving bitch you really are and you’ve never rested since then.”
“You have no right to take her from us” Ophelia told her “I’m her MOTHER.”
“No, you’re a whore who married her father after he won the lottery. But how sad that Darrel is leaving everything to her” Jo sneered into the phone “Only in the event of Kaiora’s death or is proven to be incapable of caring for herself will you ever see any of that money. Which is precisely why you want her home. You know how horrible Corrin’s death was to her and there is no way in HELL I as her best friend am going to allow you to sink your claws into her.”
The breathing on the other line paused for a moment, before she spoke slowly “Best friend?” she asked “Tell me Jo...would a best friend keep anything like Coledale from Kaiora?”
Jo’s breath caught in her throat. “Would a best friend be so conniving to seduce the one single most important person to Kaiora and stay with him for six months without telling her about that either?”
The blood drained from Jo’s face as Ophelia’s words sunk in “H-how...how did you...”
Ophelia’s next words were calm, and whispered “I know your secrets Jo” she said “I know about everything...and if you don’t bring her back now. I will tell her, and you may be her best friend. But there is no way she would ever be yours.”
The door creaked open lightly as Sugizo emerged from the bathroom in a haze of mist. His only piece of clothing was a blue towel. However the half naked man still dripping wet was not enough to pull her from her stupper. Her bottom lip trembled in fright as she tried frantically to come up with some kind of excuse, or come back, even to speak at all.
However the click on the other line would not allow her the pleasure. “Jo are you okay?”
Her watery eyes turned up to Sugizo as she dropped her cell phone. “I have to tell you something” she whispered.

Meanwhile...
Through the pain and the daze of lights and mist swirling around his head he heard small noises, squishing and swashing. He looked over into the basin and thanked God for small miracles. Even though he was in such a state, at least he couldn’t smell the no doubt sour, rotten smell of the vomit in the bowl.
Suddenly it moved. “Try not to retch for a moment” he heard her voice “I’m going to empty this.”
Her voice was always low and light, almost like a wind. Her voice floated through his ears without bringing about the pulsating and pounding of the headache he’d had all week.
He felt himself being sucked into the darkness, it pulled and prodded at him like a demon’s talons. It’s great fangs bit into his throat with every breath he took, fire ran through his lungs like a great snake. Claws ran up down either side of his arms, wounding but not bleeding, they felt like jelly. His legs had long ago stopped giving any feeling, they were a cold numb. Like he were lying in an ice pond.
He didn’t want the ice on his legs, he wanted it on his head. Where it felt as it someone was trying to break through his skull with a nail and hammer, bang! Bang! Bang! It pounded against him.
Until he felt that beautiful cool feeling, like someone had spilt ice on a fire. His eye lids felt as if there were 10 pound weights on them, but he lifted them enough to see her sitting there, she’d changed her clothes since last he’d opened them. She had a cloth in one hand, and he felt the wonderful dryness of it running down his face, along his neck, and on his chest. She then noticed his eyes “You’ve been asleep for awhile. Feel any better?”
he shook his head, she gave him a pitiful look “I’m sorry” she whispered “I have some vapour rub for you though, it should help you breath easier.”
She then began to lather the ointment on his chest. His nose which had up till that point had been plugged suddenly opened and he began to feel breath flow through it.
“Remember the basin is beside your bed” she whispered to him, “Try to get some more sleep, it’s important.”
She then walked out of the room, and his 10 pound lids closes into a dreamless world.
She slid the door closed before turning and walking into the living room, she smiled at the three sitting there “You really don’t have to stay” she glanced at the clock “It’ s 3 in the morning. I’m sure you all have things to do tomorrow.”
“With Kyo out of commission we really can’t do anything” Kaoru laughed “We’ll stay till he feels better.”
Yoshiki smiled up at her “I came here for you, so I don’t have much to do anyway. Sugizo kicked me out of the studio.”
“And you let him?”
“Like I said, I came for you.”
She let out a small laugh, then sat on the couch “I’m quite tired actually” she admitted “It’s been awhile since I’ve taken care of a man like this. Usually around winter time is when the men get sick from being outside too much. Anyway, I haven’t really tended to anyone in awhile.”
The moments that followed were awkward. “Perhaps there is something we can do for Kaiora-chan when Kyo is feeling better” Toshiya said lightly “I know you said we don’t have to, however most likely Kyo-san will be very adamant about it.”
She waved her hand “No need” she said “Really, this is really helping dispite what you may think. It’s been so long since I’ve felt this normal...even if it is caring for the lead singer of an underground phenomenon like Dir en Grey.”
Yoshiki smiled softly at her while Toshiya and Kaoru grinned. “So I’m really excited to get this tour started” she smiled “I’m thinking about starting my own blog with Jo’s.”
Yoshiki beamed “I think that would be good” he smiled “You did send your original work to us.”
Toshiya smiled “I think Jo’s been doing a pretty good job” he said “But I do know fans like to have as much information as possible.”
“In any case” she suddenly yawned “I think he’ll be out till tomorrow...I want to get some more sleep.”
She then stood up and Yoshiki, Toshiya and Kaoru followed suit. “Oyasumi Nasai” she said.
The two men bowed and watched as the two made their way to the stairs.

“Sugizo wait!”
He ignored her calls as he lengthened his stride. He pulled his keys from his pocket as his car came into view. Suddenly he felt a hand on his arm, she amazed him by swinging him around “Will you listen to me!” she demanded.
His eyes had never been so cold as when he glared down at her “What is it?”
She took a step back “You can’t tell her.”
“I’m not going to tell her” Sugizo said,
She seemed surprised “You’re not?” she asked.
“I’m going to tell Yoshiki.”
Her face paled “W-what! You-you c-can’t tell Yoshiki!” she exclaimed.
“Yoshiki is one of my best friends and he NEEDS to hear this” Sugizo’s arms folded “Why didn’t you tell us about this when we first when on tour.”
Her eyes dodged from side to side as she tried to come up with an excuse “it wasn’t relevant” she replied to him.
“Relevant!” Sugizo yelled.
His shout caused her to jump back, she’d never dreamed she’d see Sugizo so angry. He however did not seem to take in her reaction in. “She wasn’t asleep for three months!” he continued “She was gone for a YEAR! How is that NOT RELEVENT!”
He reached out and grabbed her by the shoulders “Don’t you understand what you’ve done! How could you let this happen! Are you so cold that you don’t care for anyone but yourself!”
She jerked herself away from him “How could you say that!” she demanded “I’ve been trying to save my best friend from...”
“Kaiora was NOT your best friend!” Sugizo said “Kaiora may not be your friend at all! Kaiora is your RESPONSIBILITY! The guilt you feel over Coledale and Corrin are the only things that drive you to care for her anymore. You’re not here to help heal Kaiora Josephine! You’re here to wash your hands clean and that’s all!”
The sting of his words and the truth inside of them caused her eyes to water and her heart to break again. “Yoshiki needs to be told of this,” he said “he’s falling in love with her, and the needs to know that she may never be able to give those feelings back.”
Sugizo turned once again and continued to his car.
For the life of her she couldn’t hold herself up anymore, she slid to the pavement as his words replayed in her head. She wanted to deny it but found that almost impossible. The truth of the matter is that she and Kaiora had drifted apart long ago.
They were best friends once. When they were children. When they were children the did everything together, (with Corrin in tow of course). However, as they grew older as children do, they grew apart.
It was only after Coledale that Jo attempted to regain Kaiora’s friendship. She knew she owed Kaiora much more than she could ever give, and so when Corrin died the year before, and Kaiora went into the hospital. Jo saw the opportunity to clean her hands of anything and everything that may have happened in the past. Perhaps if she was able to cure Kaiora, if she was able to pull the lost soul from the brink of madness...perhaps then...perhaps then she would be free of the guilt holding her down like chains.
Not only that...but the secret that she kept from Kaiora as well...the secret.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Dont’ be foolish Jo” Corrin smiled “Kaiora’s not that bad. She’s my best friend, not my mother you know. She’ll be fine with it...you should really give her a chance. I dont’ know why you two don’t like each other anymore.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Her tears and sobs were echoing through the parking lot, and as cold as he wanted to be. As angry as he wanted to be with her...he felt his heart pulling at him.
Damn her.
He sighed as he slammed the door a little harder than necessary, he then walked over to the sobbing figure on the ground and stood beside her “I’ll give you something” he said softly “I’ll give you a gift in honour of what we once had...what we could’ve had. But know this Jo, once this night is over...I don’t want to see you in anything other than business. Got it?”
She nodded, as she tried to settle her sobbing. “I’m going to give you time” he said “I want the entire story. Not your edited version, and don’t think I’m to delicate to hear any gory details. Once you tell me everything I’m going to give you till the end of this leg of tour to tell Yoshiki everything you tell me. If not, then I will.”
She nodded once again, he then reached down and picked her up “Do the others know about this?” he asked.
“They know about Coledale” she whispered “But not about Corrin.”
“And is Annette or Angel close to thier aunt?”
“I...I dont’ know.”
Sugizo began to lead her back to the apartment "We'll have to hope not."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
AN: I didn't really intend for any of this to happen with Jo and Sugizo. But that's kind of the way things played out. In any case I thought this wasa cute chapter for Kyo and Kaiora.
Things will get intense from here on out.
