Lessons(Pt2)
Joe grumbled the entire way to the club about he smelled like fish, or the salt in the water was irritating his skin and his clothes were sticky and sticking to him. He ran his fingers through his hair and groaned about how it felt.
“You look fine to me.” Sav commented and reached over to trace his jaw with his fingers. “Feel fine too.”
Joe slapped his hand away. “Shit like that is what landed me in the water in the first place. Did you listen when I asked you to shut up….No!…..next time I’ll tape your mouth shut.”
“You don’t need to use tape.” Sav chuckled. “I know a better way of covering my mouth.”
“I don’t even want to kno…..” Joe didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence. Sav shot his hand up around the back of Joe’s neck and pulled him forward, plunging his tongue in his mouth. A soft moan slipped from Sav’s throat as their tongues danced together.
“Taste good too.” Sav whispered against his lips when he pulled back.
Joe shoved him away. “Is there any part of the day you don’t think about sex?”
“With you?….uumm…..no.” Sav replied and went for Joe’s lips again.
Moving backward to fast Joe banged is head on the side door glass. “Ow….damnit Sav!” Joe yelled. “What the hell has gotten into you?”
“You.” And he dove for his mouth and grabbed Joe’s crotch.
Pushing him away yet again, Joe glared at him and yelled. “You want to fuck in this breadbox of a car?”
“Ok.” Sav said quickly and scramble over the console and straddled Joe lap. Sav had to lean forward because of the low roof of the car. Before Joe could protest the seat fell backward startling him.
“Hey!” Joe yelped and seconds later Sav pinched his nipple. “Ow! Your getting to rough and it’s starting to pi….” Sav’s fingers over his lips, cut him off.
“Sshh….be quite Joe.” Sav kissed him softly and moved across his firm jaw and down his neck. Joe felt his fangs prick at his skin and Sav eased them in.
“Shhit…..” Joe hissed before his fangs erupted in his mouth. Joe quickly moved Sav’s hair away from his neck, tilting his head slightly he returned the blood kiss. Pulling away from each other, Joe captured his mouth in a passionate kiss.
Sav sat up and looked down at Joe. “We’ll have to continue this later in a bed.”
“And I’m sure you won’t forget either.”
“Nope.” Sav smiled. “Now pull yourself together and lets go get a drink.”
“It’s your fault I’m like this.”
”Then I guess we’re both at fault, you do the same to me.”
“You’re always like that Sav. I think sex is more on your mind than blood.”
“If you want, we can always stay in the car instead of that bed.” Sav told him and ran his fingers lightly down Joe’s chest.
”No, the bed would be better.”
“Humm could prove to be interesting in here, find new position.”
Joe rolled his eyes and reached for the handle. He swung the door open and shoved Sav out. He didn’t have time to catch himself before he hit the ground on his stomach.
“Oh….sorry didn’t mean to shove you so hard.” Joe said leaning out.
Sav turned over. “You can join me down here, may get asphalt burn, but it’s not as cramped as the car.”
Joe glared at him and got out of the car, heading for the door. Sav jumped to his feet, slammed the door of the car and followed Joe inside. They stood on the stoop overlooking the enormous room.
The club was crowded with mortals and vampires. The music was booming from the sound system. The patrons talking loudly to each other to be heard. The dance floor was a sea of sweaty bodies. Multi-colored lights flashed around the room, several billiard tables were off to one side and along one wall were video game machines. Tables were scattered about, and booths lined the other walls. Along the far back wall was the massive bar. Hundreds of bottles of liquor lined the mirrored wall, racks of all kinds of different shaped glasses hung from the ceiling. Joe noticed how the bartenders were hustling to fill drink orders.
Joe leaned back slightly to yell at Sav. “From the looks of it, we’ll never get a drink.”
“You find us a booth and I’ll get the drinks.” Sav yelled back.
“Ha, you’ll never find me.”
“Sure I will.” Sav laughed at him.
Descending the stairs they separated at the bottom. Joe headed off to find a table and found an empty booth instead, not to far from the bar. Scanning the crowd he watched Sav ease his way to the bar. Joe noticed several people approach Sav and talk to him.
“Savage.” Sav turned to the man behind the bar that yelled his name.
“Moe, good to see you again.”
“It’s good to be seen. Where have you been hiding?”
”At my house.” Sav yelled back.
“I heard it was washed away in the storm.”
”It was.” Sav told him. “We’re at my other house on the outskirts of the city.”
“We, as in the brute?”
”You mean Nick, yeah he’s there and so is Joe.”
“Joe is here with you?” Moe said with surprise, craning his neck to find him. “You finally did it?”
”Yes.”
Moe gave him a bright smile. “About time. I think this calls for a celebration.” Moe put together two large drinks and sat them before Sav. “This is my new drink, The Corkscrew, guaranteed to get you wasted on the first one.”
“I don’t want to get drunk Moe. Would miss out on to much later.”
“Just drink half of it then.” Moe told him. “I’ll be by your table later to meet this Joe that has had you tied in knots for years. And bring you the house special.”
“Sounds good, but no touching, he’s mine.” Sav winked at him.
“Now I wouldn’t do that Sav.” Moe’s booming laughter split the air. Sav grabbed the drinks and went off to find Joe.
Back at the booth Joe watched the milling people. Nick slide into the seat in front of him.
“Happening place isn’t it?” he said loudly.
“I’m surprised to see you here Nick. But yeah it is.”
“Oh, I’ve been here a few times. When I was looking for Sav months ago.”
“Don’t remind me of that time.”
“Sorry didn’t mean to bring up bad memories.” Nick reached across the table and placed his finger on Joe’s chin to turned his head to the side. “Looks like someone was hungry.”
“He has them too.” Joe told him.
“The two of you have grown closer since he came back.”
Joe didn’t like the look in Nick’s eyes.
“Fear not Joseph. I gave my word that I wouldn’t interfere, too much anyway.”
“Having a problem here Joe?”
Joe snapped his head in the direction of the deep voice. The large muscled man was propped at the end of the table leaning over.
“And who might you be?” Nick asked smugly.
“That’s none of your concern.” He told Nick.
“I do believe it does.” Nick started. “When it comes to this one.”
The man shifted positions and leaned closer to Nick. “I know who you are Nick and what you’ve done to a very good friend of mine.”
”Is that so.” Nick smirked. “Don’t trifle in my business young one.”
“Don’t make me trifle in your business old man.”
Joe had to jump in before this got any more heated than it already was. “Actually, there is no problem. Nick and I are just having a polite conversations.”
The man held Nick’s steady glare a moment longer then turned to Joe. “I’ll respect that. If you should need any assistance, I won’t be very far.” He straightened, glancing one last time at Nick, he blended back into the crowd.
Nick chuckled and turned to Joe. “Do you know who that was?”
”No…no I’ve never met him.”
“Perhaps we’ll ask Sav when he returns to the table. I didn’t like his idol threats.”
“Don’t go and do anything foolish Nick.”
“Me do something foolish.” Nick exclaimed.
“Yes foolish, like kill him.”
Nick came closer to Joe over the table. “Only you can call me foolish and get away with it.”
“No I’m not. I know a few others that probably could.”
“Ah….yes your right.” Nick’s mood quickly went from one extreme to another.
Joe saw Sav talking to the man that was just at the table. Exchanging a few more words between them, Sav made his way to them. He sat their drinks on the table and scooted in beside Joe.
“Who was that?” Joe asked.
“His name is Scott.”
“Are you sleeping with him too?” Joe couldn’t help but ask.
“No…..we’re just good friends.” Sav replied. “And Nick you leave him alone. Don’t talk to him, threaten him or anything, you got that.”
“Clearly.” Nick told him. “You seemed to have forgotten a drink for me.”
“Go get your own. You can’t miss the bar.”
“Very well, I shall return momentarily.” Nick stood and made his way to the bar.
Once he was gone, Joe leaned closer to him. “You told Scott about him didn’t to you? And about me.”
“Yes.”
“How much did you tell him? That we were sleeping together, that you tricked me into becoming what you are and then left.”
“Don’t do this Joe.”
“Do what, what am I doing, telling the truth?”
“You’re always going to throw that back in my face.”
“That you were a cold sonofabitch and left after you got what you wanted.”
“That is not why. How many more times do I have to say that before you’ll believe it?”
Joe shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know.”
“Then stop bringing it up.” Sav shot back. “You sure do know how to ruin the mood.”
“Me! Oh no don’t blame this on me. I didn’t do anything but ask a question.”
”And make a comment that I sleep with everybody I meet.”
”No, that was a question.”
“Whatever, lets just try to enjoy the rest of the night before we have to take refuge at the house for the day.”
”And do what, finish what you kept starting all night?”
Sav looked at him. “Now look who has mood swings.”
”I learned it from you.”
“We could always leave now.”
”No, I haven’t finished my drink.”
Nick rejoined them a few minutes later. He could feel the tension between them, when earlier in the evening it was filled with playfulness and sexual innuendoes. Nick thought that it was amusing to watch them when they were like that. Sav was always intent on what he wanted and Joe still unsure of himself in that regard. Nick has learned a lot from the two men that sat before him. One rarely takes anything too seriously, but at face value and too always have fun.
His eyes fell on Sav and noticed that he was intently staring at someone at the bar. Nick followed his gaze and saw the woman he was looking at. He knew that look and it’s intentions. He smiled to himself and leaned back in the booth to wait for Sav to make his move on the woman. Sav had his lesson plans worked out, Nick noted and this is another one that Joe was about to learn.
