Winds of Destiny(Pt17)
Nick was leaning against the headboard, the thin sheet covering his body from the waist down, leaving his chest bare as he was reading one of the old manuscripts he had purchased in Nice, of Egyptian History. Turning the page the air changed in the room as Sav came in and stood in the door looking at him a moment before closing it.
“Did anyone ever tell you how silly you look wearing those glasses perched on the end of your nose?”
Nick looked up at him as he crossed the small cabin. “You have, on several occasions.”
“Why do you even wear them?” Sav kicked off his shoes and unbuttoned the denim shorts, letting them fall about his feet.
Nick lifted his head to stare down his nose through the glasses, taking in Sav’s toned legs and shapely butt just below the hem of his shirt. “Too better see you with.”
“This is not Little Red Riding Hood and that is not how it goes.”
“It brings everything about you into sharper focus.” Nick commented.
Sav rolled his eyes and went to the bathroom. “You have better than perfect eye sight and don’t need them.”
“You are not going to comment on my big teeth?”
“No, because I know how big they are.” Sav called from the bathroom.
“They are not that big.” He felt them with his fingers. Chuckling at Sav’s humph, he closed the book and put it aside, folding the glasses to place them into the soft leather case. Twining his fingers together in his lap, he waited for Sav to emerge from the bathroom.
Flipping the light off, Sav came back in and slipped beneath the sheet, tossing the second pillow to the floor. He flopped down on his side, facing away from Nick. Closing his eyes he felt Nick shift on the bed and the soft click as he turned off the small table light.
Drawing in a shallow breath, Sav opened his eyes again. “Why did you tell Joe we were here?”
Nick looked at him in surprise. “What gave you that idea?”
Sav quickly flipped over to stare over at him. “I know you better than you think. When he just showed up, I saw you, ‘I’m up to something’ look, gave you away.”
“I miss his company.”
Sav snorted. “Yeah right.”
“That’s part of the reason Richard. I asked him to come because of you. I only want to see you content and happy. Don’t tell me you are, because like you, I know you better than you think.”
Releasing a heavy sigh. “You know why I’m not either.”
“Yes I do, but I’m hoping this trip will help your relationship with Joe.”
“Oh, now that really doesn’t sound like you.”
“And before you ask...nothing is in this for me…. I’ll tell you the same thing I did Joe. To see the two men I love and adore back together.”
“How touching.” Sav grumbled.
“Give him another chance Rick.” Nick said as Sav rolled on top of him.
“OK fine, he’s here, but I want no part in entertaining him, you and Crystal can do that. I came on this trip to be with you.”
“To escape the torment at home you mean.”
Sav rose to his hands and knees over Nick, briefly holding his eyes before crawling to the edge of the bed, swinging his legs over. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Nick quickly sat up to pull him back down on the bed. “Alright, I will not bring it up again.” Moving Sav’s hair aside, he softly placed his lips against his skin, moving toward his neck. “I believe you had something else in mind.”
Sav cut his eyes toward him, then twisted around to push Nick to lye back on the bed. “And you want it too.”
Nick’s grin widen seconds before Sav came down on top of him, kissing him deeply.

Joe couldn’t help but listen to what Sav had told Nick as he lay on the make shift pile of sails until the mattress was delivered. His heart sank a notch hearing that Sav basically didn’t want anything to do with him. He didn’t out right say it, but Joe got that impression from what he did say.
‘Then why am I still here?’ Joe mused. ‘So you can watch me make an ass of myself Nick? Well, if that is what it takes then that is what I will do.’ “You will be back in my arms before this trip is over Rick. Come hell or high water…you will be.” Joe mumbled.
Hearing footsteps and voices above him, he knew that Travis and Chelsea were making last minute preparation before pulling out in a few hours. Crystal’s voice floated down to him as she was eager to help in any way she could, asking questions about the 60 foot yacht.
Tuning his hearing to Sav, Joe heard his deep moan, a sound that was all too familiar to him. His insides quivered, wakening a need that only he could take care of. Turning on his side, he pulled the pillow over his head in an attempt to block out the sounds. As luck would have it thinking and knowing what Sav was doing with Nick, his need and desire became painfully apparent.
Throwing the pillow away, Joe rolled over, staring at the dark bulkhead above him. His fingers absently started trailing lightly across the cool skin on his chest and down to his stomach. Before he realized what he was doing, his hand was rubbing the hard bulged in his shorts. Snatching his hands away, he flipped over to his stomach, burying his face in the sails and growled in frustration. Lying on his stomach just made it more difficult to ignore, feeling the weight of his body pressing him into the smooth sails.
Leaping to his feet, Joe threw the door open and left his make shift room. His steps faltered as he came upon the door to the master cabin, hearing Sav’s heavy breathing and deep groans within. Fighting the urge to go inside, Joe forced his legs to carry him to the galley. Once there he didn’t notice that Chelsea was sitting at the table going over charts and sipping coffee.
Grabbing a bottle, Joe gulped down the fresh red liquid, knowing that it wouldn’t still his racing heart and raging desire. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and turned around, finally noticing Chelsea.
She was looking at him, until Joe dropped his gaze to the floor, hiding the vampire within him. Placing the cork back in the bottle, he started back to his room.
"Joe..”
“What?” He snapped.
“..in the future, could you wear your robe when coming out here?”
“Why?”
Chelsea’s eyes darted downward, then Joe looked down to see his snug fitting shorts bulging in the front.
“Tell them not to be so loud when they fuck each other and I won’t get a full blown, painful hard on.” Joe smarted, then spun on his heel.
Chelsea was stunned by his sarcastic words, but knew whom he was talking about. During the course of 3 days, Nick had filled them in on his relationship with Sav, very little was mentioned about Joe, until he joined them all for a drink earlier. Chelsea had sensed tension in the air the moment he sat down beside Crystal, in the dim light of the dock lights, she noticed Sav’s smile drop as he looked at his glass. She glanced at Joe and he was staring intently at Sav, the look on his face was of sorrow, pain and longing. Chelsea was astonished at how easy his facial expressions were to read and could only wonder at what caused them to be so prominent.
Rising from the booth, Chelsea cleared her dirty dishes, placing them in the small sink to clean later. Glancing down the narrow hall at the closed door to the sail room, she considered going down there and knocking on the door to ask Joe if he wanted to talk.
“No, I better not, maybe another time.” She told herself, knowing that the sun was up and that he would be trying to sleep. Chelsea bounded up the stairs to find the mattress for Joe was being brought on board.
Travis thanked the delivery men and grabbed one side. “Help me get this to Joe’s room. I think he will be much more comfortable.”
“I don’t think now is a good time Travis.”
“Is he asleep?”
“No….he is, just acting strange…I don’t know…I don’t know him well enough to know what he is.”
“But I do know you.” Travis leaned over to kiss her. “You will make it your mission to get to know him and his strange behavior.”
“I know he doesn’t like to wear his robe.” Chelsea told him, taking the other side of the mattress and guided it through the door.
“He wasn’t nude or anything was he?”
“No he wasn’t and it depends on what you mean by anything, but I can guess and yes he was.”
“I guess morning erection affect vampires too.” Travis chuckled.
“That’s not how he put it.”
“What did he say?”
“Tell them not to be so loud when they fuck each other and I won’t get a full blown, painful hard on.” Chelsea repeated. “He wasn’t very nice about the way he said that either.”
Travis tripped going down the stairs, almost landing on his butt. He had the same reaction she did…stunned. “I think that was a very inappropriate thing to say to you. I’ll have a word with him about it after we get this mattress taken care of.”
“He may have fallen asleep already.” Chelsea commented as they dragged the mattress down the passageway and stopping at the door.
“uunn…,” the deep growl rumbled around the flesh of his arm, fangs buried deep, long hard pulls on the blood that would release the pleasure he felt in his mind. Dropping his arm to his side, his body jerked as he slowly pulled his hand up, gently squeezing his cock.
“Mind fucks aren’t so bad.” Joe mumbled on an exhale of breath. “Even when done on purpose, to get a message across.” A smile played on his lips, feeling Sav still bouncing around in his mind. His eyes flew open when someone knocked on the door.
“Mr. Elliott, its Travis.”
Joe scrambled from the floor, looking around for something to wipe his chest and hand off with, settling on his t-shirt.
“Mr. Elliott, are you awake?” Travis knocked again.
“um…j..just a minute…” Joe called back, snatching up his robe. Tying the belt securely around his waist, he pulled his fingers through his damp hair and opened the door.
“We’re sorry for disturbing you.” Chelsea told him.
“No..it..it’s alright, I wasn’t asleep.” Joe replied, noticing the mattress between them. “Oh good, it came. I couldn’t get comfortable on the sails, too hard I guess.” He opened the door wider, then took the end from Chelsea.
“Did you cut your lip, your bleeding?” Chelsea asked.
“uh…” Joe quickly wiped it away, smiling sheepishly. “…its nothing.”
“Mr. Elliott, is it too warm in here for you?” Travis asked as they went about moving the sails.
“um..no, we don’t feel the temperature difference. Why?”
“You look a little flushed and your hair is…”
“Why all the questions?”
“I want to make sure that all my guests aboard are comfortable with their accommodations.”
Joe smoothed the crease and laid the sail on top of the pile. “I’m perfectly fine in here. My…um…appearance has nothing to do with that. It was…I uh…had too..um…”
Travis smiled and glanced at Chelsea. “No need to explain Mr. Elliott, I understand all to well what you mean. Now, I believe all we need is linens and another pillow.”
Once Chelsea was out of hear shot, Travis turned his attention back to the man before him."Mr. Elliott, in the future, be mindful of how you speak to my wife."
"Duely noted. I must apologize to her about that. It was not my intention to offend her."
Travis chuckled. "It takes alot more then your words to offend her."
Joe hesitantly returned his smile. He relaxed, realizing that Travis was going to be easy to get along with on this long trip, as was Chelsea. A place for them on his list of mortal friends to keep in touch with in years to come. “Joe.”
“Joe it is then.”
