Chloe walked into the lobby of Bryar Enterprises and smiled as she spotted Brendon standing with Bill, talking adamantly. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, hugging him hard. “Hello, Mr. Urie, how are you today?”

Brendon smiled and turned around in Chloe’s arms, kissing her deeply. “I am doing well, Mrs. Urie. How’s Nia?”

Chloe pulled back and smiled. “That’s why I came down here. Have you seen Ray? I have a message to deliver to him.”

“What message would that be, CC?” Ray walked around the corner, looking worn out and tired. It had been two months since he had been face to face with Nia. After the fight and Alex’s death, with no body found, Nia had locked herself in the apartment she shared with Chloe and Brendon and refused to see Ray. She saw him two months later for Chloe and Brendon’s wedding, but had locked herself back up for another two months, still not wanting to see him.

Chloe had spoken with her at length and found that it was all for grief that she refused to see Ray. She had thought that by having Alex that she would forever have a piece of Frank. With Alex gone, she no longer had her first love, the man who gave her the son she adored so much.

This was why Chloe was glad to be standing here giving Ray this message. “I was told to tell you from Nia that she wishes …”

“To tell you that she’s four months pregnant.” Nia walked into the lobby, looking vibrant and happier than she had in months. She walked up to Ray and started to cry. “I’m sorry, Ray-Ray. I didn’t mean to shut you off, could you ever forgive me.”

Ray smiled, though he was crying as well. “Of course, Nia. I love you, why wouldn’t I forgive you?” He paused and looked at her. “Are you really pregnant?”

Nia moved a to the side and pulled her baggy shirt back over her stomach tight, showing a larger than normal stomach. “Oh yeah. Twins, from what Dr. Walsh just told me. Are you ready to be a daddy?”

Ray nodded, then got down onto his knees. “Only if you’re ready to marry me, Nia.” He pulled out a small sapphire ring the same shade as her eyes when she was angry. “Will you marry me?”

“Yes, Ray.”

“I guess that means I’m doing this now.” Bill smiled and reached over the counter of desk and pulled out a marriage license. “Do you Ray Toro take Virginia ero?”

“Yes.”

“Do you Nia Iero take Ray Toro?”

“I do.”

“Then kiss the bride and sign this paper and you’re hitched.” Bill handed them the paper and they signed it, kissing each other gently, as if afraid they were going to break each other.

Chloe smiled, wrapping an arm around Brendon’s waist. She ran her hand down her own stomach and wondered when the best time would be to tell Brendon her news. She shook her head and opened her mouth to speak when Bill gasped in shock and pointed behind her. “Chloe, look!”

Chloe frowned and turned around, grabbing Brendon to keep herself standing. She couldn’t believe it, as obviously neither could Nia and Ray. “Alex …”

She couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe, as he stood just inside the door of the office building. She found herself running to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him gently on the cheek. “I thought you were dead.”

She found his grip almost too tight, feeling the tears come from his eyes. “I was dead, Chloe. I couldn’t remember who I was, what I was. I’ve spent the last four months finding out who I was. I finally remembered you and came here as soon as I could.”

He lowered her to the ground and walked to his mother, hugging her as well. He pulled back and frowned, running a hand over her stomach. “Guess I actually get siblings now, huh? I’m glad I’m here to see this.”

Nia was speechless, tears of joy running down her face. Alex wiped the tears away and kissed him mother gently. “Say something, Mama.”

“I love you, Alex.”

Alex smiled and nodded. “I love you too, Mama.”

Alex turned to Brendon and smiled. “Did you do it, Brendon?”

Brendon smiled and held up his hand to show the wedding band there. “You’re about two months too late, my friend.” He smiled and hugged Alex. “It’s great to have you back.”

“It’s great to be back.” Alex turned to Ray and sighed. “Did you marry her? I mean, if you’re going to have a baby with her, I want you to be the step-dad first.”

“We just got finished with the ceremony, actually. It’s official.”

“Good.” He smiled and hugged Ray. “It’s great to have you in the family, Ray.” With that he turned to Bill, who was actually crying more than everyone else was. “Bill.”

Alex wrapped his arms around Bill and kissed him, long and hard, like he was trying to eat him. Bill returned the kiss and everything became clear to Chloe. Bill had once hinted that he had a boyfriend, but wouldn’t tell them who it was. This explained everything.

“Wonderful!” She couldn’t stop the word from coming out of her mouth. “Sorry, but this is great guys!”

“That it is, Chloe.” Brendon wrapped his arm around Chloe’s shoulders as Bill and Alex blushed a bright red. “I know you weren’t being faithful to me when we were together Alex, that’s why we weren’t together the last few months.”

“I’m sorry, Brendon.”

“Don’t be, Alex. I have my true love.” He kissed Chloe gently and shook his head. “We should go upstairs.”

“And get something to eat.” Chloe added as an after thought. “I’m starving.”

“You’re always starving lately, Chloe.”

“It’s your fault, Brendon Urie.” Chloe put her hands on her hips and looked at Brendon with an accusatory face.

“How is it my fault?”

“You’re the one who got me pregnant.”

Brendon’s jaw dropped and he looked at Nia who only smiled wide and nodded. “Pregnant? We’re going to have a baby?”

“Disappointed?”

“Hell, no! I’m gonna be a daddy!” Brendon spun Chloe around gently and kissed her. “Let’s go get my babies something to eat.”

Chloe smiled as Brendon led the group to the elevator. She couldn’t help but think that Rick, Naida, and Jon would love this news. They had left so quickly after the fight that she didn’t think she would ever hear from them again. She would just call the phone number Naida gave her and tell them that Alex was alive and well. Maybe they could get the gang back together one last time. Or maybe it was just wishful thinking and they were forever meant to remain apart.
