“Woocy! Woocy! Where are you?” The little white haired girl with the pale blue eyes ran through the halls of Bryar Enterprises looking for Lucy. “Aunt Woocy!”
She popped her head into one of the offices and squealed, running and jumping into the lap of Rick Smith. “Grandpa! I missed you. Did you have a fun twip to Fwance?”
Rick smiled and hugged his granddaughter tight to him. “Yes, Jamey, I had a wonderful time in France. Did I hear you calling for Lucy?”
“Yes, sir. I had something to show her.”
“I think she’s in the kitchen. If you hurry, you can catch her.”
“Thanks, Gwandpa.” She kissed him on the cheek and jetted back out into the hall. She ran past a smiling Bill, waving at him and telling him that she’d come back and see him, before running into the kitchen to find Lucy and Josh talking. “Aunt Woocy, I has been wooking evewywhere for you. I have something to show you.”
“Ok, angel, what do you have to show me?”
“Tell Uncle Josh he can’t laugh?” She looked so serious as she looked at Josh, that Lucy smiled and turned to Josh.
“You can’t laugh, Josh.”
“Cross my heart, I won’t.” Josh crossed his heart and Jamey’s face lightened up.
She smiled and held her hand up, water coming from her hand in a swirling pattern. It swirled about a foot above her hand when she blew gently, causing the water to melt as it had swirled, leaving a beautiful ice sculpture in her hand. “See! I did it!”
“Good job, baby doll!” Lucy took the ice sculpture and smiled at the stunned Josh. “What’s the matter, Josh? Haven’t you ever seen a three year old perform an act of magic beyond her years?”
“That was brilliant, Jamey.”
“Thank you, Uncle Josh.”
“Jamey Alexandra Davis, I thought I told you to stay with your uncle Alex today.” Naida walked into the room and scooped the three year up, kissing her gently. “Did you show your aunt Lucy your trick?”
“Yes, ma’am. Uncle Josh got this funny look on his face. I don’t think he really liked it.”
“No, no, Jamey, I was honestly impressed. I wish I could do something that amazing.” Josh smiled as he kissed the little girl on the head. “I have to get back to work. Come by later and show me the trick again though, okay?”
“Otay.” Jamey looked pleased as a clam as Josh left the room, leaving the three girls together.
Naida turned to Lucy and smiled. “Have you told him yet?”
“I think I’ll wait. With Spencer and Hayley having their baby so soon after they got married and Zac’s news about dating that werecat named, um, Britney, I think, I think it best to tell him I’m pregnant. I mean, I don’t want to get married.” Lucy looked down at her feet and sighed. “How would I tell him anyway? ‘Oh, yeah, by the way, Josh, you’ll be able to play with you own kid like you play with Jamey in about seven months’. I don’t think that’s happening.”
“So you’re pregnant, huh? You could have told me like that. It would have worked better than walking in on you talking about it with Naida.” Josh walked into the room with a large smile on his face at the shocked expression on Lucy’s face. “I forgot my sandwich. And I don’t care if you don’t want to get married, my name will still be on that baby’s birth certificate.”
“Really? You don’t mind?” Lucy sounded shocked at the thought that he was ok with all this.
“I’ve spent the last three years watching Jamey grow up and have loved every minute of it. I would very much love to do that with my own child.” Josh smiled and kissed Lucy. “It’s alright, really. Now, we both have to get back to work before Bill comes back and finds us with our little distraction.” He pointed to Jamey who puffed her chest up.
“Hey! I am not a distraction! You just used me as an excuse.”
“Smart little girl.” Jeremy came around the corner and smiled, taking his daughter from Naida. “Sorry, hun, but you have to come with Daddy for a while because Mommy has that big abolishing a town today.”
Naida groaned and nodded. “The destruction of Contract Valley for a memorial park for all those that died in the battles sounded great when I didn’t have to be the one doing it.”
She kissed Jeremy and then walked down the hall with Lucy, heading in the same direction. This had been the normal routine for them for the last three years and would probably continue for as long as they lived. At least they didn’t have to worry about any more ghoulies coming from Contract Valley.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
With the destruction of Hell, there was no need to the little town there any longer. Every time it was rebuilt, something destroyed it, so everyone had decided a memorial park would be the best bet for everything.
There were no threats for the Earth now, so Naida fulfilled the job the High Chosen had set down for her without her even knowing it. She would live forever as ruler of the mermaids, Jeremy always at her side, Jamey always a loyal child.
Lucy and Josh would have a son named Martin who would go on to be one of the greatest scientists of his time, finding a cure for all the ailments that continued to plague society in his days.
Chloe, Brendon, Ray, and Nia would live together until their dying day. They would watch as Artie fell in love with Ryan and as Frankie and Martin, though younger, fell in love. They would gain a deeper family relationship from this as grandchildren were born to all of them.
Hayley and Spencer had a little girl shortly after they married who would one day become the first astronaut to be able to want on Mercury and handle the heat. She would eventually become known in the books as the ‘Greatest Influence on Modern Space Suits’ due to her formula for dragon scale like suits.
Brianna and Andy were married and had a few children, all of whom became great in some field or another, though they were exceptionally skilled with weapons, becoming hired guns just like their parents. It became a family affair.
Frank and Emelie stayed with BE for a few years before they thought it best to find another place to dwell, neither of them still supposed to be alive. Frank, being human, died, with Emelie and Bianca, at his side on his eighty-fifth birthday. Emelie looked as she had the first day she walked into BE, Bianca a darker version of her mother. They still live today, though now they work at BE with those they care most about.
With the destruction of Hell, Rick’s curse was lifted and he began to age at a normal rate, but not until after he found Rowena Michaels. She became the love of his life and they were married. Jamey still believes to this day that she is her grandmother and always will. Rick passed away peacefully after his first great grandchild was born. Rowena followed of heartache two weeks later, but they continue to watch over those they love.
Bill and Alex would remain together for eternity, always the guardians of the children of those they loved. They would watch those around them die, and forever remain as they were. To this day, they live on, continuing to watch over the people of the Earth.
These few were the saviors of the Earth. If it were not for them, the words on this paper would not have been written. Give thanks for them and pray that they’re never needed again, for if they are, it is truly …
